Wish I had gotten a name, he is African America, short hair, mustache, had on jeans/blue shirt. I'm guessing very early 40s. Anyway, he was the only one working when I arrived about 3 pm. He took care of multiple customers all at once, moving back and forth, keeping a smile, super nice attitude and did the best he could for all of us. I left at 5 pm and he was still going, still smiling, still caring, still giving superior customer service. Today is Friday, 10/17, so management will know who I mean. Huge thanks to him for fixing my phone and obviously a lot others while I was there. KEEP HIM VERIZON. He does you proud! Hope I have the right store. My family and I have purchased 8-10 phones from this location over the last decade or so and have used phone lines we got through them. I no longer will after encountering a very rude and abrupt employee today who had no interest in helping me while treating me in a condescending manner. Very disappointed in his service. read more

Verizon sent me an email and it had this stores address to return the equipment. As soon as I walked in the store the guy said we don't accept equipment here anymore since a week ago. The manager was extremely rude. I walk in and speak to the guy at the front desk and he said it will be about 5 minutes. NEW Totally lazy , went in on a Monday June 18 and not one person the store , I already had my new Verizon number but needed to pick out a device and the employee told me it was to much of a Hassel to get my device thru there store and I should go to a corporate store instead, when I left I called Verizon customer support and they told me that I definitely could have gotten my device at that store and that the employee was just being lazy and just didn't want to go thru the process ,, Really rude !!! Verizon company operated this store in fairoaks mall, Fairfax Virginia and is now being run by Russell cellular. It is very noticeable that it isnt the professionally run store we had become used to. Poorly clad personnel & poor upkeep for one gives that away. That was the least of an issue. We made an appointment for 730 pm and upon arriving there on time, were refused service as the store closes at 8 pm and our rep was no where to be found.Solutions manager M.....L offered Zero solutions. We were asked to come back another day when there was more time available to transfer data to the new phones. When we asked , why give us an appointment knowing that? The answer was " it happens". When we insisted the manager got argumentative and we had to leave the store without achieving anything. An associate had offered to do the transfer, but overtime pay seemed to have become an issue.Never mind the inconvenience of driving down in sub zero temperatures. Moreover, no remorse or apologies. Very very disappointed with having been offered no solution by the "solution manager ". I've been to verizon in Dulles mall and fair oaks mall and was very disappointed Either I had to wait for a long time or they rushed me through the processing . Wes, the store manager at the Ashburn Shopping Plaza, completely screwed up my Verizon account and accomplished nothing he attempted to do. Wes did however raise my monthly bill, lost my "buy one get one free phone promotion" and had my account charged for multiple unknown $70 charges all for the identical service I had before I even walked in the store. The number of time Wes or anyone from this store reached out to me over a three (3) week period to fix this mess? Pretty much what I would expect when walking into a phone retail store with a employee who hates his job. What a circus! I have a new work iPhone that I was trying to activate and transfer numbers from old phone to new phone, figured this would be simple or maybe could even be told I was able to call 1-800 and do myself. Only 1 employee working...baggy ass pants, Jordan 4's on walking around like he was King Tut..lol, not giving anyone the time of day. Sounded like there were 2-3 employees in the back not doing anything or he had his friends in the back waiting, while 4 or 5 people waited in the lobby not being helped. Older Asian lady was asking about her sound and assistance with deleting messages, it couldn't have been more obvious that he didn't want to help her. The other gentleman who was what looked like half way through his phone activation even asked if he should come back another day he looked uncomfortable. I myself walked into the store, observed and stood there for about 5-8 minutes without being greeted or acknowledged, before I could finally get his attention long enough to ask him if he was the only one working there this evening....I couldn't even get a response I just got a head nod of yes. I turned around laughing and walked out. Lady sitting in her car outside with her daughter saw me walking out chuckling to myself and asked if she should even dare to go in there tonight...my response "Forget about it"! I went with my husband to Russell Cellular after he had signed us up for their prepaid plan only to discover today that our Verizon wireless phones had been disconnected due to no payment. The store manager, Mauricio Quiroga, needs training in customer report. He gave me no eye contact and I called him on it and he said, I'm NOT talking to you. I said that was rude and he said, You are rude. I said, "We are both on the account." He goes, I am not dealing with you and if you don't like it leave. I would never recommend using Russell Cellular after dealing with a person like that. read more

I met with a customer representative there on 9/23/14 to purchase the iPhone 6 16g as I was eligible for an upgrade at that point. At that same time, my plan was updated to the Verizon Edge as a recommendation by the rep. On 12/16/15, I damaged my phone with water and called the insurance company, Asurion, for replacement. They informed me, to my surprise, that I no longer had insurance on my phone. After some more digging, I found that it was removed on 9/23/14, the date we met and my plan was changed. I know that when we met I did not make any changes to my insurance and was not asked to remove it. I have carried Asurion since before 2003 consistently, so I would never remove it. It was a blantant error by the staff member. When we spoke in late December, the rep had said he spoke to Asurion and they agreed to replace the phone if we wait 30 days. We added Asurion back on my plan that day and I waited at least 30 days to file the new claim. I met with the rep on Friday, 1/30/15, and we contacted Asurion and spoke with someone there who filed the new claim. I was told I would receive an email within 3-4 hours of sending in the signed affidavit. I sent that in on Saturday and there was no call or contact back from them. I waited until Monday and tracked my claim, which then said they could not replace my phone because I did not have the device at the time. I went back to Verizon and we called Asurion that day (2/2/15) and they explained that it falls on Verizon to replace the phone because it was an error done by either the system or customer service representative at the time I originally bought the iPhone 6. I contacted the store manager and explained one way or the other, either through Verizon or Asurion, I expect to have this matter resolved and a new phone. I am not asking for a free phone and would be willing to pay what the insurance asks ($149). The mistake of removing my insurance falls directly on Verizon and the representative. I have been told throughout the month of February 2015 that this has been brought to the regional head, but again no response to this matter and no resolution. It has now become a matter of principle. I call for an update and leave a message with no call back and just get delay after delay. I have been a Verizon customer since 2001 and this experience has caused me to shop other companies and possibly cancel all of my Verizon utilities. Additionally, I use Verizon services throughout my businesses (real estate and property management) and will advise to discontinue service or not bring Verizon aboard any new projects. read more

Please keep OUT of this store - unethical selling techniques! They sell you products and services based on Promotions which are INVALID. They sell it in way that you are locked in and can't return the products or services. I was sold phones & services which were not VALID Verizon promotions by Diego (Sales Associate) - such a cheap way of doing business. I found out these promos were invalid after calling the Support Agent at Verizon and by then it was too late. Manager of the store didn't even have the courtesy to call back and find out what happened after escalating the issue to Verizon Support. We dealt with Dil, Wes and Mustafa with purchase and some follow up questions. Each were engaged and helpful. Worst phone buying experience ever. I was told that the S6 was $300 off ($200 credit and $100 rebate). I go back into the store today when I realized they didn't include the rebate information. Monty told me he'll call me in 2 hours. After not getting a call I called him and he said he'll call me back in 5 minutes. After am hour of not receiving a call I called back and the "manager" named Chris was rude and said I must have misunderstood and that there is no rebate. I told him that it was a bait and switch and poor business tactics. He seemed impressed with himself and said I can return everything if I wanted. I'll be dropping verizon tomorrow. read more

I never leave reviews; however, I have to because of my experience. My boyfriend has been an ATT client and I've been waiting for his contract to end since I am VZW committed client - so he could join mine. We decided to come to the ashburn location instead of Dulles since we were already in ashburn even though Dulles has been my go to place. ALL OF THAT HAS CHANGED AFTER TODAY. This location from now one will be my main place (Sorry Dulles). They (Chris, Chris and Ghazi) were very transparent with my boyfriend when answering his questions which finally got him to transfer over to this carrier. We've been here for over an hour not because of the wait but because of the patience and welcoming environment we were given by them - I've never gotten this from Dulles. They weren't just trying to sell us something and push us on our way out but to make sure that we are 100% satisfied before we walk out the door. I'm coming back Monday to get my phone for an upgrade that they got for me in less than 5 mins by calling other centers to get my phone. :) So long this team stays, my boyfriend and I will always be returning (as needed). read more

Terrible customer service from multiple employees and the store manager. Wasted four hours trying to bring my number over from another carrier (which the manager had said would be easy), only for the order for my new phone (that I waited two weeks for after being told it would arrive in two days) to be done so incorrectly that I could not use the phone with my existing number, and was assigned a "temporary" number. When I went to return the phone, the manager wouldn't even help me remove the number from the account. Will never give this place any business; will go to a real Verizon store from now on. read more

I bought a Vizio charging cable as my iPhone 6 cable was frayed. The salesman assured me that the cable had lifetime warranty and I could return within 30 days if I had problems. The cable stopped working in the first month so when I took it back, the manager asked me to contact the manufacturer and asked if I had registered my cable. Upon telling him that I was told I could return the cable in 30 days he claimed that returns can only be made within 14 days. I was ready to walk out with the faulty cable when he made a great show of doing me a special favor and replacing the faulty cable. Am not coming back here again. I like purchasing from Verizon online and will avoid this brick and mortar store where the salespeople lie and will say anything to make a sale. read more

I have been to this store three times . The first time I purchased a cell phone - that experience was pleasant enough. The second time I went in I wanted to have my contacts transferred from my old cell to my new one. I was told it would cost $5, I walked out of the store without a word. I have had my contacts transferred at other Verizon stores at no cost but these guys obviously want to nickel and dime their customers. The third and last time I went I had questions about residential Internet service. This time it was a different sales person than the man I dealt with the first two times. Well this guy answered no questions just gave me something he printed off the internet gave me two minutes to read it and asked which plan I wanted to sign up for. I told him I needed to think about it and I had some questions. He said "if your not going to sign up in store look online for your answers". I couldn't believe that he said this to me. Again I walked out I have never been back and to honest I have thought about canceling the 2 cells and my internet service all are with Verizon because of these guys.
