I tried to make a call at 12 noon. No matter how hard I tried, the call dropped. I was somewhat concerned. Once I got home, I noticed our modem was in the red meaning no Internet. I tried rebooting everything to no avail. I packed up the modem. It was time to take a trip to Verizon to find out what was going on. We were met by two of the staff at the front door. There was a written note on the door saying no Internet or cellular service available. Staff reinforced that message. There was no estimated time as to when we might get it back. Eight hours later we are back in business. Luckily we didn't have a great need for the Internet or cell phone. I am waiting to see if Verizon will send a note to their customers apologizing for the delay. I am thinking of stopping by later this week to talk to them about a credit for the lost time. read more

Headline: Not only were they not able to help me with a simple phone upgrade, this store left me with major functionality issues with my phone! My phone was working perfectly fine before entering this store; I just wanted to upgrade my phone. Beware! This is a Verizon affiliate, not an actual Verizon-owned store. It's called The Cellular Connection (TCC) and considered a Verizon retailer. I had a very frustrating experience here and would not recommend. No wonder the reviews are so low. I've been a Verizon customer for over a decade. I received a promotion about a phone upgrade and stopped at this store to take advantage. It had heavy Verizon signage, so I thought it was an actual Verizon store. I was so wrong. More than two hours later I walked out *without* a new phone. And my phone stopped working normally. Brutal :( Apparently, there was a system glitch that prevented the transaction from being completed. I was told to wait 48 hours for it to be resolved. That didn't happen. After more than 48 hours, I called Verizon and was told the system issue was on TCC's end. TCC argued it was a Verizon issue. And the innocent customer is stuck in the middle. Verizon strongly recommended I go to a corporate-owned store to do business. I will never attempt to do business in a Verizon "affiliate" again. What a complete waste of time. Very frustrating experience. A simple cell phone upgrade should not be this complicated, but TCC made it so. On top of all that, my phone stopped working properly after I let TCC touch it. read more

In November 2022 we purchased 2 new Samsung S 22 phones with Otterbox cases and screen protectors. Spending $1,600.00 wasn't enough to guarantee relacement if broken screen saver or Otterbox case. The young girl (with the elaborate polka-dotted fingernails) acted so bored and unhappy I think she should seek employment elsewhere. She told me they don't replace accessories and I needed to seek replacements from the companies who make the products. I did and got replacements for the cost of shipping. I went back today and had Verizon put the screen protector on correctly. The same gorl was there, all pissy and unhappy. This girl needs to have a lesson in customer service. read more

If you're looking for a customer service experience that sits somewhere in between a sketchy used-car dealership and the DMV, this is absolutely the place to go. Not only will they lie to you when setting up new phones and service lines, but they'll also completely deny any wrongdoing and fail to address any concerns in a civil, straightforward manner. Went in last year to purchase two iPhones for my parents and they botched setting up the phone numbers, royally screwed up my Verizon account resulting in hours of time on the phone with Verizon Customer Service, and billed for 2 phones that were supposed to qualify for a buy one/get one promotion. Refused to address my concerns on multiple attempts to reconcile this issue. TL;DR: Avoid at all costs - when shopping for Verizon products make sure you buy direct from Verizon and not an "Authorized Retailer" - especially TCC. While working on resolving these issues with Verizon Corporate they mentioned that there are several "Authorized Retailers" like these that frequently engage in predatory sales practices and Verizon is working on phasing them out of their vendor model. read more

Alexis is AMAZING!!! I had called this store 2 times and no one would help me locate the items I purchased in the store and had lost while I was moving out of state. On the 3rd day I was lucky enough to talk with Alexis she researched my previous purchases, found the items I needed to repurchase and had them shipped with the managers assistance which I truly am thankful to both of them. I realize most of these wireless store fronts come in a close second to the MVD in terms of how to spend the most possible time waiting to be the next customer served. I'm sure on certain days the wait at these stores might even take the gold in that regard. I won't write about that. What I will mention is that Aronn S. took care of our needs quickly, professionally and all the while looking for the best combination of promotions and trade-ins to make our (very complicated) 4-phone upgrade as cost-effective and user friendly as possible. This 5 star rating is really an Aronn rating. If you have Verizon wireless needs in North Scottsdale, look no further than TCC. And when you get through the door, look for Aronn. My wife and I just walked out of the store after the "sales guy" (Caucasian, skinny, late 20s, facial hair) turned down $2000+ in sales. We arrived at the store at 6:30pm and his response After we told him what we needed was, "Im sorry but I can't help you because we close at 7 and it will take more than 30 minutes to set up your devices." Absolutely miserable experience! With the launch of the new iPhone 6 we made the decision to leave Sprint and join Verizon. Little did we know what a complex process this would end up being. We stopped in the night before the official launch and were assured that we would be able to order our phones online that night. That turned out to not be the case so we came back into this location to find out what could be done about it. Our phones needed to be ordered so we patiently waited for their arrival. Weeks later we were finally ready to activate our new phones and pick them up at this location. My wife arrived two hours before I could get there and believe it or not none of the phones were active by the time I arrived. Somehow in the activation process they managed to screw up her phone and therefore needed to order her another one. Imagine that, you wait weeks for your phone and then three hours for the activation only to find out you won't be going home with your new phone. We were assured that her phone would be overnighted and that she would be able to pick it up on Saturday. Well guess what, on Saturday her phone was not available and she was to wait until Tuesday afternoon to pick it up. All that was offered were apologies and a screen protector for each phone. That's it, no bill credit or anything else. The general manager for the location had to be contacted for everything, and after all of our visits we never once met this mysterious person. I'm sure the guys here are trying, but it's safe to say we will never return. My advice is to go to a traditional Verizon wireless store if you need to buy a phone. I went in to upgrade my iPhone and was enrolled in a lot of services I did not want and was not told about, including a whole new phone line for a tablet. When I got my bill from Verizon, it was astronomical. I spent forever with Verizon trying to get it straightened out. Thus included returning to TCC to return the unopened & unasked for tablet for the new wireless account I did not want, and they had the audacity to charge me another $50 "restocking fee". Another bad experience with this store. Our last experience 5 months ago (4 1/2 hours to simply change our phones from 4S to a 5S). We also purchased the Edge Program at that time (the sales person told us to buy that so we could trade in our 5 for the 6 for no additional charge since the 6 would be out in 2-3 months). Went in today to do that and were told it would be almost $300 each to change to the 6!!! No apologies. The guy who told us this was there and played dumb. Will never go back to this Verizon store. Will go to a main one. Very, very disappointed and surprised at the lack of customer care. Don't know why anyone would shop here. This is by far the worst Verizon store. This isn't just a one time occurrence, it is consistently terrible. Most recently, I patiently waited 10 minutes before even explaining why I was there while the employee helped another customer set up an iPad. Only after 10 minutes and me about to leave was I even acknowledged. Then I waited another 10 minutes. After 30 minutes of no help and the employee showing a lady how to do mindless tasks on the iPad like turning it on and adjusting the brightness, I had to leave. But that evening after purchase I was having trouble with Home Button not depressing right. After having other family members check my phone they were having the same problem . Returned next morning, not even 24 hrs later wanting an EXCHANGE ONLY AND WAS DECLINED. HIS WORD AGAINST MINE THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH BUTTON. I feel as a CUSTOMER and per the contract of 14 days return or exchange I would be put through this aggregation. They even had the nerve to say to go to the APPLE STORE at Kierland 15 miles away and have it checked out. If they say there was something wrong with it to bring it back. Ha! Isn't that what they are there for??? LONG STORY SHORT THEY DECLINED EXCHANGE AND OF COURSE, IF I RETURNED IT THERE WOULD BE A $35 RESTOCKING FEE. I DON'T THIS SO.... I did try to contact TCC Customer Service number only to have my call dropped and when I called back got a recording to leave name and number and they would contact me back. Well, what year??? Still waiting... I do have to say that Garrison salesperson who originally sold me the phone, was more courteous and took time with me. He even made a follow up call. This retailer is pathetic! I only recommend going here if you want a longer wait than at the Motor Vehicle Division and if you want to deal with people even less competent. We tried to purchase a Samsung to replace my fiancee ' s iPhone, but they couldn't figure out how to move her photos and contacts over even though we stayed about 3 hours. We couldn't return it the same day and had to go back. Another ordeal was in store ro exchange it for another phone...and they still charged a $30 restocking fee! We ordered the iPhone 6 Plus but it wasn't in stock, so we had to go a third time to pick it up. Another test of patience was in store as they tried finding the phone and activating it. I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S10 in November from Jennifer S. and received the best customer service ever in my tenure with Verizon. She moved recently to the Summit location and I was happy to follow her to the Summit store. She was extremely knowledgeable about the various options and patiently explained in detail the pros and cons of each phone we were interested in. Because I had the very old Galaxy S3, we had several issues which she worked through with us. She answered all our questions and offered assistance by phone later if we had any problems. She was professional, personable, and knew her products as well as the intricacies of data transfer, storage, technical issues, billing, etc. Most importantly, she gave us good information that proved to be correct and not incorrect as we have experienced previously. She mentioned that each employee received a full week of classroom training which is a plus but makes me wonder why previous employees we dealt with did not have a quarter of the knowledge that Jennifer S. has. DO NOT SHOP FOR A PHONE IN THIS STORE!!!!! This is not a Verizon store, it is a franchise so you have no recourse with Verizon if you are not satisfied. After spending 21/2 hours in this store I left with a new phone and bag with a FREE tablet and other FREE items, but NO RECEIPT. I told Joey I did not need a tablet but he said it was Free. I was told he could lower the price of my 13 year old plan with Verizon and showed me the numbers on a piece of paper. ALL LIES. Not only am I paying more per month for the "new plan" but there is a monthly charge for the FREE tablet's line. Nothing was actually free. I was never told the truth about any of this and nothing has been done at the store or at Verizon Customer service to rectify this. I am writing to keep other customers from being cheated. read more

This is absolutely THE WORST VERIZON WIRELESS store to do business with. They sell you used phones for the price of a new phone and don't even tell you it's used. Then you have issues with a phone within a 14-day return period and they say their system is down and can't help you. Then you return again and they say there are more issues with the phone and it's not their problem, so they basically tell you that you are screwed. NEVER EVER frequent this location again. They are unintelligible, cannot make any decisions and are more worried about going on their next break then trying to resolve the problem that they caused in the first place. I've been with Verizon for over 14 years and will not be renewing my contracts. It's worth the $1,000's of dollars I am going to lose in early termination fees, but not worth the frustration anymore.
