I had purchased a Motorola phone and 4 days later, I was unable to access any of my texts or calls, so I reported to the same location for assistance. Lesley stated that the account was suspended due to nonpayment. I showed my online payment was reflected and confirmed with the account indicating zero balance. She then contacted the Cricket customer service line and I waited over 45 minutes for their resolution. I informed her that I needed to return to work as soon as possible, with the ability to access my phone service and text, in order to log into my telecommuting position. I was willing to remit a duplicate payment just to override the block and Cricket could reimburse me later, once the service was restored. She offered no other solution, therefore, I requested to return the phone and that I would resume with my previous carrier Sprint. Lesley stated the store policy would not allow return products, unless there was a technical issue with the device. I contested that my receipt doesn't indicate her claim as valid. According to the refund policy, any devices were completely returnable for 7 days of purchase. This was day 4 from the purchase date. She refused and stated that she can call her manager, however, when I agreed to speak directly with her manager, she refused, changing her story, stating that she was the manager and she was attempting to assist me, however I needed to pay a $5 reactivation fee. She lacked total credibility and absolutely pitiful that she thinks that customers are so dense to take her word at face value. She had no badge or business card indicating her title. When I insisted on speaking to her manager, Lesley snapped back and stated she had a right to refuse me service. From that point, it was clear that I was dealing with an irrational employee and informed her that I would file a complaint with their corporate office. Immediately, another Cricket staff intervened, logged into the system, and waived the $5 re-activation fee within seconds. I spent over an hour and 20 min debating with the most belligerent, Cricket employee that no customer should ever have experienced. This issue will definitely be escalated and reported to the Cricket corporate division for final retribution.

So many repair shops either didn't want to bother or quoted a ridiculous, "eff-off" price just to send a message that they didn't want to work on them. He did not. Very knowledgeable and friendly "nerd" owner with a great, customer-oriented attitude. And he underpriced the competition by almost half! (My suspicion is that the others break a lot of screens doing this repair, so they build in the cost of making a mistake into their price; whereas he is careful enough and uses methods to not break the screen so as to not need to build the cost of his mistakes into the price.) FWIW, I have high standards, sometimes think I know too much, and can ask too many questions. Mike indulged me on all questions regarding a simple iPad repair and then some. (Other repair shops didn't want to talk about their methods or ideas). Cleaned my iPhone port for free, too! Very good communication of the risks and options for the iPad repair. I recommend them very highly to my friends, and now to you.

The guys at Free CheckFix took my problem in stride and found a way to get my printer to communicate with my computer. When returning home with my working system I was trying to shut the truck door while holding the brother laser and promptly dropped the printer on the driveway and trashed it. Mark and David found a new Brother Laser and a new CPU that could run windows 11 and together they were cheaper than what I paid for the old laser printer. That level of transparency really stood out and made it clear they weren't just trying to get me through the door. I've since been there twice for repairs, and both experiences were great. Everything was fast, transparent, and affordable. I've never waited more than 10 to 15 minutes in the waiting room. The second repair was more involved, but they were upfront about the timing. I dropped my phone off, came back about an hour and a half later, and it was ready. When I later noticed a small issue and brought it back, they took care of it immediately with no hassle and no complaints.
