I have been with this company for years. I've had several issues with false alarms, broken sensors, and weird alerts. They charge $130 to come assess the problem, and another $50 to replace a sensor even if it is new and you haven't done a thing to alter it. This company is a little cheaper than most, but you get what you pay for. It got to the point I would cancel an alarm in the middle of the night because you could never trust the system. It worked well for a year or so, so I gave them 3 stars. read more

AllStar Security installed our alarm system and camera 2 years ago, we liked the Alarm.com setup however the installer was quite rude, nonetheless we proceeded accordingly and ended up content with the system. Fast forward 2 years later, after 2 calls to AllStar to assist with camera issues we get a promise to follow-up and nothing. I would not recommend Jeff with All Star Security to anyone. I did like Jeff when he installed the system a couple of years ago, but he has very poor workers in the field now. We had issues with the system, only to have a worker tell us how poor Jeff set up the system and coded everything wrong. He stated he correct this problems. We shortly had the same issues again. This time Jeff scheduled someone to come out from 8am till noon. He finally showed up around 830pm. I had already cancelled and requested the service to be rescheduled. When the service tech showed up I was already in bed and my wife was getting into the shower. The tech proceeded to walk around in the house peeking into windows, including the bathroom, where my wife was. He is very lucky he was not shot or arrested as a peeping tom When I spoke to Jeff on this issue, he stated it was my fault that his tech had to walk around and peep into the windows. REALLY ???? I suggest calling someone else that has decent employees and integrity In my opinion that is NOT ALL STAR SECURITY !!! read more

I had been shopping around for security systems for about a month and was frustrated with talking to used car salesman types. I found AllStar on Yelp and Angie's List and sent an email inquiry. After less than 5 minutes, I had an email from Jeff and spoke to him that night. He was personable, informative, and straight to the point when it came to packages and pricing. Danny installed the system about a week later. It did take a long time (about 5 hours), but I appreciated that he installed it the way that we wanted and re-did some work to ensure that. Jeff A installed a new communicator (CDMA on Verizon) for our existing DSC home alarm system in January of 2018. Took less than 45 minutes. The first alarm revealed that one of the zone codes was incorrect, so Jeff came out the next day and re-programmed that code. It's my first review on yelp and I will certainly recommend Jeff from AllStar Security. It's our first house and I am overwhelmed by all the things we need to go through before we can finally settle down. When it comes to home security system, we talked to almost everybody in the area and we decided to go with Jeff. Jeff didn't push us to choose expensive package but rather tried to understand what we need and provided the recommendation. The conversation was very pleasant and what impressed me is that Jeff is very responsive both before and after we sign the contract with him. We had a little abnormal signal on our control panel and Jeff stopped by with two hour notice and took care of the problem in 10 minutes. With other big national name security company, you will never get such personal service. With other big security company, you may need to wait for days before they send someone to check up your system, do you want to risk your property just to accommodate security company's schedule? Jeff has been in the industry for years, even one of the window blinds contractors I talked to knows him. When Jeff's technician came to our house to install the system, the technician spent about 4 hours to complete the whole installation and test. It's not because they don't know what they are doing but they want to get everything set up nice and neat. They don't mess up your wall or ceiling, you don't even notice there are few more additional motion sensor or fire detectors in your house after installation. When you open the electric box, you will be amazed how clearly they line up and label each wire they installed. When people try to find home security system, our first reaction might just go with those big national company (no exception for me). But based on my experience, I will urge you to give Jeff a chance and then decide yourself. I think I make a good choice. read more

There is no push on the options and he even gave good recommendations to save me money. AllStar Security was recommended by a co-worker. I would quite agree with him and other reviewer about the way Jeff and AllStar doing business. For the issue of home security, you always want to give the business to someone you can trust. The cell based system and flexible options is another important reason I choose AllStar. With today's infrastructure, who still has the land line at home. For a lot of security companies, land line is still the requirement for those basic security offerings. Otherwise, you will spend quite a few on the devices and monthly charges. We moved into our current house about a year ago. One of the first things we did was to research home security - got quotes from ADT as well as All Star. ADT not only came in $2000 more expensive, but they had the gall to put up their sign in my drive way when they came into deliver the quote. Jeff from All-Star was a completely different experience. First difference - he took the time to inspect the existing wiring in the house, where as ADT did not. Jeff told us that most of the existing wiring can be used 'as is', which saved us about $2000. We're one year into the contract with All-Star, and are satisfied customers. We had some equipment glitches early on, but were remedied quickly and personally by Jeff. One of these incidents was past 10pm, but Jeff personally answered his cell phone and took care of it himself. THAT is service that I remember and feel good about recommending. Ive had All Star Security for about 3months now and so far so good. So good that I even had my parents switch their home alarm to All Star Security also. All Star Security have no long year contracts unlike other competitors asking for 3 or even 5 yr contracts. AllStar Security only asks for 30days notice to cancel. Jeff installed both of them. He was efficient and professional. Very helpful. He even price matched a couple of item for us like the cellular unit for the wireless monitoring. And you cant beat the monthly rate.
