I had a very pleasant experience although my personal life concerning dealing with my uncle's phone wasn't going right. Somehow he managed to forget his password and couldn't get back into his phone. I had a problem with my phone reception and was very hesitant to go to the Carson store after reading the negative reviews. I had no problem with customer service. Tim greeted us at the door and thanked us for a short wait to check us in - a short time later I was assigned to Manny who was very knowledgeable and polite. He explained what he was going to do to try to help my service and reset my software. That cleared up the issue I was having. So, it was time for an upgrade for a couple of numbers on my accounts because simply put, we were due. To make a long story short, I go online to put in the orders. I even chatted with Amy, the agent, who put the whole thing together for me. She even made it clear that transfers from both phones can be done at the store. (This was vital because I planned on going out of town and needed that done STAT.) I asked this more than enough times to probably annoy her. She guaranteed the transfers by the end of the day. So, off I drove to this store to pick up the units. With me are the two older units with data to be transferred to the new ones. Nope. I was just handed a bag and instructions on how to do the transfer. I didn't catch my sales' name, but I told him I was assured earlier during the online purchase that the transfer can be done at the store immediately. He tells me they no longer do that. "No other store will does it anymore either." Unenthusiastically. Blank look and all. Didn't really have a choice, so I took the new phones home and stored them in a corner for a bit. With lack of time to do the "transfers" since I was going out of town for the weekend, activation had to wait a few days. Not really sure who to put the blame on this, but it's done. The only thing that kinda irked me a bit was the lack of customer service. He just didn't seem like he wanted to be there, much less kinda give a little more reassurance. He kept referring to the written instructions on the how-to. It's almost like he was eager to get us outta there, satisfied or otherwise. (It's the latter for me, in case I didn't make that clear.) I did all the transferring on both units. Hit a few snags, but all good to go now. Parking is shared with other businesses, so it's hit and miss. It can be an issue. It has been awhile, but customer service at the store located on Hawthorne/Artesia was far better. I might just do future transactions with them instead. read more

Went in to pick up an online order. The staff member positioned in the front was very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately she didn't help us. The individual that "assisted" us acted as if we were bothering her and didn't really want to have anything to do with us. She was not friendly and had an overall bad attitude. I forgot to change my surname after I got married and my name on my Verizon account still had my maiden name. I made my maiden name into my middle name so it shouldn't have been too confusing. I asked the staff member if she could possibly help change my name while we were at the store. She audibly sighed and in frustration asked if I had the Verizon app, if so I can change it there. I understand I can do it myself but figured we can take care of it considering I was at the store. Her attitude and "service" was awful. My elderly Aunt 83 went into this place 3 years ago with a flip phone issue and walked out with a Samsung Galaxy with a 2 year contract at $90/month. We couldn't get her out of the contract. I never talked to her on this phone. It was always on her landline. I think she never made a call on this phone in 3 years at 90/month. Her landline went down and she wasn't answer that nor her Samsung, so I had to drive over and knock on her door to figure out she had no phone service. Her Samsung got all buggered-up by her ineptness with a smartphone and we couldn't do a factory reset, so we took it to this same store that F'd her 3 years ago. They looked at the phone for about 1 minute and said "It looks like water damage" and they can't repair it. We need to get a new phone and they have some good "Upgrade plans". We thanked them for their 1 minute evaluation and said we want to "Downgrade" our Aunt back to a flip phone that she originally walked into this store looking to repair or replace. We took the Samsung to a friend who is savvy and found out my Aunt somehow put the phone into some weird "Swipe to do X" mode and everything is back to normal. Verizon is only interested in upgrade to higher costing plans. They are not interested in helping an expired contract phone. read more

The worst! Started my account in store on 8/18/22. Paid $55 in taxes to take home an Apple Watch as well. Store rep Imara said the payment wasn't showing on their end & asked me to pay again. The transaction was already posted to my bank acct so I decided to wait until I received the refund to attempt to buy the watch again. One month later & I'm still Apple Watch-less & have yet to receive my $55 back. When I call customer service they have no record of my purchase & when I call the store no one picks up. My work hours coincide w/ store hours so now I have to take time away from work to go to the store to speak with Imara or managers Jesus or Michael who were all involved in this botched transaction. Wow a whole year later and got the confirmation that we were swindled! Cameron was so nice and helpful to me and my fiance (now husband) as we were less than two months away from our wedding in August 2018. We both upgraded our phones and went on one plan together. I have been with Verizon since 8th grade on my parents plan and then on my own in 2014 (over 14 years). We were given trade in amounts for our devices ($100 for mine and $200 for my husbands) and told we could each pick three free accessories - it was a So Cal only promotion. OK cool. I got three accessories. Hubby got the heavy duty phone case (that qualified him for one accessory only). We were charged x amount. Told we would get the trade in amounts as credits. Two days later I noticed we were charged for the accessories. Had my receipt and went online to chat with an agent and was told "I just go the confirmation that the accessories are free of charge. You will see a charge on the account however there will be a credit also which will offset the cost and make it free of charge." WORD FOR WORD. Also saw Mr. Cameron signed us up for the protection plan $13 a month x 2 phones we never were told about. The online rep cancelled it for us thankfully. Well nearly a year later I noticed we never got the nearly $600 in credits we were owed. Went online today and was told the "free accessories" were never a thing and "sorry we will give you a small percentage back to keep you as a loyal customer. " The online agent I chatted with today also confirmed they never got our phones we traded in. We could have sold our phones on our own for at least $300 or $400 each. My husbands was literally in an otterbox case the entire time he owned it. So he must have kept them for himself and sold them privately. Can you believe it? I came to the Verizon wireless, next to Tokyo Grill. Security held the door open for me, one employee had just finished with a customer and he was sitting behind his plexus glass. Two other employees sitting behind plexus glass - one talking to the other who was working. I was looking at the iPhone 12s and then I just stood there waiting for someone to say - "I will be right with you or can I help you". No one ever said a word to me. I was in the store for 8 minutes. Customer service is everything to me. I could have walked up to the employees and asked for help, but I entered your company, at least acknowledge me. I am talking below 1 star. She was unprofessional, inconsiderate, uncaring, and I am 2 seconds from wondering was she racist????
