My fiance and I were here earlier today when a man decided to hold the place up at gun point in broad daylight. We were standing at the kiosk when our salesman Luis told us there was a man with a gun and we were being robbed. Luis then led us safely to the back of the store to the storage room where we stayed until it was safe to come out. The staff remained calm through out the whole ordeal and was very tentative to our needs. After coming out of the storage room I broke down and the staff were so sweet and reassuring. They offered us all water and kept asking if we were okay. A big thank you to the staff here at this location for all that you've done. Right by my office, but I despise this location. It's sort of a reverse discrimination thing is my best description. At times I've been here for 45+ minutes and been ignored. Completely clueless too as to the phone features whenever I ask them specific questions. This is probably one of those situations where the toxicity (and incompetence) trickles down from the top of the pyramid. Bad or dumb manager = bad or dumb employees. Maybe some store in Torrance would be better, but I'm too lazy so I just keep punishing myself by going here. On a positive note, I still have to say that Verizon itself is hands down the best quality phone service out there. Sound quality, call reliability - excellent! Came in for an iPhone charger and got one with a lifetime warranty, also very helpful staff because the guy who helped me who was actually the manager had the same exact charger and said that its been working fine for him. I purchased an iPad Air at the Apple Store and later that night stupidly got the SIM card lodged into the place the SIM card holder should go. It was an incredibly idiotic sequence of events but caused me a bit of panic. The next morning i fearfully entered the Verizon store, scared that I would get chastised and sent away as a hopeless cause. Much to my surprise I was warmly greeted by Noe, the manager I believe. He admitted to reservations about being able to extract the now barely visible SIM card but was happy to try. Noe spent a good 30 minutes with me and successfully extricated the hopelessly wedged SIM card, replaced it for free and activated my iPad. He never made fun of my stupidity and made the whole event a happy memory. He was even proactive in pointing out ways I could maximize savings on my account. I've been a Verizon customer forever. It's been great. Once in awhile, you get bad service like last Friday. I called toll free # to Verizon to ask a question. The lady on the phone was working on my account as I'm just asking a question. After she answers me, she says "You're all set!". I was like "Waaaat??" I didn't ask her to do anything. Turns out one of my phone was completely out of service and another one had my other #. I have 6 lines with them. Luckily, I was near this store. MARIA helped me out. She was amazing!! The last two times that I've visited this location, I've been helped by Cameron and he has provided exceptional service! I went in trying to decide if it was finally time for me to upgrade from my iPhone 6 and Cameron very patiently walked me through all of my options of both phones and promotions. I dread going to Verizon but had no choice today, my phone was broken. I went to the Carson store 20820 Avalon Blvd. Adrian helped me and I had the best customer service I have had in years. If I could give this place negative stars I would. I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes, let me tell you why. I go in and was greeted almost right away, GREAT!. Good job greeter, but once I got handed off to one of the sales guys, it was like the 2009 stock market crash of customer service. I asked to see 2 phones, the Galaxy S3 and the Rezound. After the guy took me over to look at the Rezound, we went back to his little work station and said the stratosphere had a rebate. I said I don't want the Stratosphere, I wanted the two I mentioned. He then became defensive and told me I wanted to look at the Strat. I again told him no, and pulled out my Galaxy S (1st gen). I told him again, I wanted to look at the other two, not the Strat. When he continued to sound more annoyed and pushed the issue of showing me something I didn't want, after I pulled an earlier gen. of the phone he continued to tell me I didn't ask to see, I came to the conclusion he was more concerned with being right, rather than making a sale. Recently went into this location to switch over to Verizon after being a loyal Sprint customer for 7+ years. Why I had to walk into this location to buy three new phone, I have no idea. The ordeal took multiple frustrating visits and left me fuming each time. The first time I walked in they told me they can easily transfer my phone number and contacts over from my Sprint accounts. They gave me all the correct numbers but switched my contacts. On returning they said they had fixed the contacts but instead they had switched the EIN numbers. This merged all the numbers and had email addresses of the account holders all mixed up. On my THIRD trip there I wanted to be sure they were fixing the problem correctly instead of trying a quick trick that made it look fixed on the surface. It was the longest TWO HOURS of my life. Every time someone came out to talk to me it was another poor excuse of them not being able to tell their asses from their elbows. After two hours of me telling them they still had it wrong, them trying to give me back a phone that was NOT mine (TWICE), and me explaining multiple times exactly what I wanted them to do, they finally fixed my phone book. The fourth trip to the store was to ask questions about returning a phone we were not happy with. We were told to come back with the original box and receipt (regardless of the rebate) and they would process the return. During our fifth trip to the store with all the requested material, they told us they would not take the phone back because the rebate was already mailed in. I returned home and checked Verizon's return policy, it clearly states phones can be refunded the original amount minus the rebate amount. Now I have to go back, a SIXTH time, with a print out of their own policy to get my refund. Thank you Verizon for having incompetent employees that lie to keep themselves from processing a return. read more

The worst service ever. I dealt with two employees there and both were completely clueless let alone rude in trying to explain on how the edge program works. All they did was confuse me. I left and went to another Verizon store to get clarification on the edge program and turns out the guys at the Carson Verizon Store where completely wrong which means they are giving out wrong info to their customers. I'm glad to see that I'm not the first to be treated so shabbily by those who "work" at this store. I went in to get my wife's phone checked out as it was not taking or holding a charge. The first agent I went to asked me if I was paying my bill, and when I said, "no", he had me report to the guy checking customers in. He checked me in and directed me to sit down and they'd be right with me. I sat down, and watched for 10 or 15 minutes as 2 employees dealt with customers, while one by one, 4 others walked past me, glanced my way and disappeared into the back room without saying a word to me. None of them appeared to be doing anything. Even when I then got up and loudly announced that I was leaving for a store that was more customer oriented, not one of the workers looked up, or came over, or said anything. Wow...this place was HORRIBLE. I went in because my battery was dying within an hour of being charged and warranty told me to go in to the store so they could verify my phone didn't have any water damage. I was in this neighborhood car shopping and saw this place and thought I might as well stop in. The girl who helped us was so rude and obviously hated her job. She sat there staring at the screen with her elbows on the desk and her face in her hand as if her big head was too heavy to be supported by her neck...she sat there for about 10 minutes, literally the whole time silent, then it dawned on me, what can she be looking at? She didn't even ask my phone number yet! After this odd time she brought out a battery and said it would be 40 dollars, WHAT? I have warranty. "Oh yea!" She asks for my number and another odd ten minutes then takes the new battery out of the box puts it in my phone and says have a nice day...I used to work in cell phones and know this isn't policy but whatever I took my phone and left and am thankful I'll never need to return there...sorry excuse for customer service read more

I never had a problem here till this day. I went to change my plan the guy that helped us was help but didn't seem like he wanted to help us at all. He was rude. My mom wanted to see if she was eligible to get an upgrade. He told us yes and which phone did she want. My mom currently has the 5c and she doesn't like the 6 and neither do I. The guy answers us in the rudest way possible that it's the same type of phone and to just get the 6. Obviously she just said she wanted the 5s. I've been a customer since 2007 on my cousins line then switched to my own line in 2008. And ever since I've been treated like a second class citizen when it comes to my upgrades. No matter how much Verizon fucks up my order I always get screwed some how and never compensated. They basically tell me "no" (which according to former employees they aren't supposed to do) to everything.. can I get a small discount for my inconvenience.. no this actually wasn't our fault.. it was the systems mistake.. WTF!? Since I've added people to my account all their phones get handled with the utmost care and done on time. While I sit on the phone every time at some point trying to fix an upgrade to my own damn line. I'm the main phone number! And MY order is ALWAYS fucked up. If Verizon didn't honesty have the absolute best coverage I would have gone to sprint or T-Mobile a long time ago. But regardless of what their sell out spokesman says.. all companies ARE NOT GREAT! But fuck me neither is Verizon. Tell me how I order a phone hours before the other phone on my account.. set my payment.. then have to call back to fix the payment on both phones.. only for the other persons phone to arrive before it was supposed to even be shipped out!? Wtf!? While mind is still in fucking Tennessee! I'm so sick of Verizon's bullshit with my account. Not that they'd give a rats ass about a long time customer complaining.
