Howard's sold us an LG dryer last week. Two days later the bracket holding the lint filter came loose, caught the clothes being dried and ruined a tank top. When we went to the store to report the issue, we were told to call the next day to talk to a manager. I called the manager 3 times before he returned my calls. He said they did not have a replacement dryer and it would take 2 weeks to order one. He offered to contact LG . LG referred us to a repair company MTG who sent a repair person who didn't have a replacement part even though we had sent MTG a photo of the broken part and description. After the repair person left. Two lint filters arrived from LG. I went to Howard's this morning 12/6/2025 and it is closed with a sign on the door that says CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. read more

I do not recommend buying appliances from Howard's. On Saturday, September 6, 2025, my washing machine failed -- it flooded my home with water pouring out of it. I immediately called the insurance company that Howard's required us to use (Centurion/Centricity). On Monday, September 8, the repair company came out. The technician told me the bearings were bad, the washer needed to be replaced (not repaired), and he had me sign the service ticket. The ticket I signed simply stated "bad bearings." He did not mention rust. Later, during a three-way call, the repair company told the insurance company: "Don't worry, we wrote rust on the ticket so it won't be covered." That was false -- the paperwork I signed said no such thing. Since then, I've been stuck in the middle with no resolution. The insurance company and the repair company keep blaming each other. I was told I would have an answer in 48 hours. As of today, it's been more than a week and a half, and despite repeated calls (including one that was supposedly "escalated" on Monday, September 15), I have not received any update or decision. Howard's has also failed to help. I went to the store and spoke with the manager, who admitted there wasn't much he could do since "you already bought it and the insurance is responsible." Customer service promised to call me back but never did. It feels like Howard's, the insurance company, and the repair company are all working together to avoid paying out. I paid for an insurance policy that is turning out to be worthless. I would not recommend purchasing from Howard's or trusting the insurance coverage they force you to use. read more

Terrible installation on 2 separate orders. First we discovered the LG fridge was dented in the back when we pulled it out to clean. They dented it and hid the fact that they did. Second they took major shortcut in installing the LG washer and pedestal washer. They cut one of the drain hoses and jammed it in the drain which after some use popped out and flooded the room. We went in for help in replacing the hose they cut and they don't sell parts. Didn't want to help us at all. If you need your professionally installed don't count on Howard's! read more

We had a poor experience at Howard's. First the salesman made a few mistakes on the order invoice when we were purchasing a few appliances, and we kept having to correct him. He seemed apathetic and inattentive the whole time. They split our appliance delivery into two which was fine, but we paid to take our old appliances away which they did not do during the first delivery. Next we called to change our delivery date for the second delivery and spoke to dispatch. They said their process is to email the store for approval, but because our salesman wasn't in the office for a couple of days there was no response or follow up and missed the date. We also paid to have them install all of the new appliances, but they only did one and not the other. They also delivered the wrong hose kit for the dishwasher, so we had to drive back to the store to pick it up and to get a refund for the non-installation. The assistant sales manager was helpful, but it took a long time because he couldn't figure out how to correct it in their system. A few days later they finally delivered the refrigerator (which was 45 minutes late after the provided delivery window), but a couple of days after the delivery my wife noticed a dent that she did not initially see. We called the assistant manager again to ask if something could be done, but he did not return my call. While the price was decent, the execution and customer service was poor overall and we would not recommend purchasing from this store. If you do, make sure to triple check your invoice, and follow up with them to ensure everything meets your expectations. read more

I bought a refrigator for over $2000 and extended warranty for 5 years i only had it for 1 year 3 months i noticed black stuff in my water and i called to have someone come look at it they sent me text to confirm appt they just showed up on 2/16/2026 and my son let them in i was so made i talked to the man he aplogized and said i will get me parts in 2 weeks i have yet to get any parts when i call no one knows anything its now a month and 3 days i have been given over 8 numbers to call they all have attitudes like its my fault like why did i pay for warranty if i cant get service appt or my parts or any help at that and today they tell me call this number for updates well arent you expose to call me or give updates never again will i buy anything from howards i will stick to best buy and their warranty is just one warranty place not like howards call this number and end up with 8 numbers beyond fustrated with them but they make sure they want their monthly payments but cant make sure we get our service on time and the man i did talk to today said oh well yeah it does take 2 months to get parts wtf you serious he says well we got to order get part deliver etc ugh no this is what they do they shoukd have this all togther and access to these parts for us asap i can see a week but can take 2 months crazy i believe it cause im at 1 month and 3 days as of today and the man that came to my house with out permission left no invoice with my son nothing thank god he sent me a text with the part i needed and i kept it for refrences for myself since he showed up with out me being their and yes i did message the people and they apologized for him showing up dont shop here unless you want people at your house when their not expose to be or want to wait for 2 months for parts or you need to find out who to speak to for your warranty with 8 diffrent numbers. I researched online for oven and cooktop and since the Howards website said that both items were on display at a certain location so I drove to that specific location so I could see look at them. Both of the items were NOT on display and they didn't even have them in stock. Also, the sales person told me that both items I purchased were eligible for $100 rebates, but when I submitted the paperwork only one item was eligible for a rebate and it was only $50. Purchased from Saleem a refrigerator as well as other appliances. The refrigerator showed up damaged so we returned it. We were then told it would 4 more weeks for another one to be deliver. We waited 4 weeks and had to call saleem numerous times before we heard back from him. Was told it was delayed and would be another 2 weeks. At this point it's 2 months since we purchased. Saleem continued to try to sell us the damaged refrigerator that we returned with poor little information on when the refrigerator we purchased would arrive. They ended up having to replace the valves before they could hook up the washing machine because unbeknownst to me they were leaking. They even bought blue valves so they'd match my kitchen! I had this encounter over the labor day weekend and emailed them directly to discuss but no one contacted me so adding to the poor customer service as I usually do not write directly to companies or reviews but I found our experience at Howard's in Torrance leaving a bitter taste in my mouth and so upsetting and especially this being our first time visiting Howard's. My elderly parents and I went into the Torrance location late afternoon on 9/1/24 looking to purchase a washing machine. A speed queen which are never on sale and are not cheap. The sales person, Ms Anita was very nice and helpful and asked the manager if the price could include haul away since another local store had it included in their price. He agreed. Anita said she would be working tomorrow and would honor the haul away price and the no sales tax, a 10% discount runs through Labor day so we said we will be back and just need to think about it, especially deciding between two different speed queen models. As we were leaving, the Manager (Patel ?) was extremely rude! He said that if we do not buy it now, he would not honor the price with the haul away. We told him that Anita said it was ok to come back tomorrow. He said no, buy it now or lose the haul away. So not only was he dishonest and rude, he made his sales person look stupid and unprofessional. This is not how your managers should treat their customers, particularly the elderly as well as your own staff. He really should be disciplined and educated on customer service. read more

The assistant store manager Jorge Cortez is exceptional. He is friendly, responds to inquiries timely, well informed of all products and when he is unsure he goes over and beyond to research the product or correct the issue. I was sold kitchen appliances with another associate who promised us rebates and discounts. When the appliances finally arrived we noticed that the associate never applied the discounts or rebates. Jorge was able to correct the situation even though months had passed. Jorge really values his customers and their happiness.
