Would not recommend this VERIZON they lied to you about your deals, and then try to tell you that oh, but this is still a great deal, went in there the other day for an iPad mini 250 gig, the lady who helped me was Nasia and she told me that if I upgraded my daughter's phone, I will get the iPad mini for free. Just need to pay for the new line. I said well heck that sounds like a great deal so I did it, wasn't expected to receive the phone or the iPad mini until Tuesday December 22, came home Friday and FedEx had dropped it off at my door and it was the wrong iPad, so I called the sore letting them know, and the manager told me that if I came in the next day to have it exchanged, he would expedite this shipping. No cost to me well of course no cost to me. He was 0 help and wouldn't even let me book an appointment for later because my number was under my mom's carrier and i needed her here. Horrible, racist location with the worst customer service. This incident occurred 04/27/25 from 2 to close. My family and I were here initially to pick up a preordered phone and my dad had concerns about his new iPhone as well. 1) Erin, the "manager" at this location approached us and as soon as my dad asked his question she attempted to push him away by saying we would be charged $50 dollars to help him. This is not what customer service told us over the phone. She rudely kept repeating herself to my dad, as if he could not understand what she was saying, and instead of clarifying, she repeated the same words as if he was not an adult. I stepped in the conversation and she lost her racist confidence, finally checked us in and ran to the back along with 2+ other employees that were hiding from helping customers. 2) We waited for an hour to receive the preordered phone, and when another store employee finally gave us the phone, my dad asked about his initial question that was expressed to Erin and the racist kid yelled at him and also did his best to make him leave by expressing if he wanted help, he will be charged. My dad did not care how the kid was treating him, he trusted what customer service had assured us before arriving to the store and he just wanted his phone fixed already while being at Verizon. I knew the treatment we were receiving was because of our skin color, and so I told my dad let's go to a different location, and when my dad asked for the address of another corporate location the kid rudely rolled his eyes and told us only cross streets. We kindly asked again for the address, and the kid repeated the cross streets in a more upset tone. - this kid had no customer service towards us, but when a white family walked in, he greeted them right away and was very helpful with their concerns. He was so friendly with this white family, he even shared personal information about himself, how he is 21 years old and had recently started working with Verizon. 3) I am pregnant + high risk, and having to unnecessarily wait for 2 hours and experience this stores treatment caused extreme stress on me and my baby. 4) Our "new" phones do not work. My dad and I spent two hours here waiting for our new phones, were offered zero guidance on setting this up, and this led us to having to contact customer service again. We spent another two hours on the phone with customer service attempting to fix whatever the store did. It's now been two days since the incident, and here we are still filing complaints and contacting customer service for help. 5) This treatment wasn't only towards us, but also towards another Hispanics family that was waiting before us. The Hispanic dad in the family was extremely frustrated with the amount of time they were waiting for their phone pick up, and after waiting an hour, he went to the back and asked the 3 employees that were hiding in the back to help. As soon as he spoke up about his mistreatment, the racist 21 year old kid gave them their phone and the family stormed off upset. read more

Horrible customer service. I was told by Verizon call center I could return a trade-in phone to this location. The guy looked at me like I was crazy when I told him that. He said they don't do returns and he wished the call center would quit sending people to their store. I told him they said they would he went to the back and came back with a Fedex label and told me to go find a Fedex location and drop it off. He didn't even look up my account or anything. LIES. I went into the store to add 3 lines and 3 new phones to my account. totaling 4 lines, 4 phones. while there they told me that my area recently had the 5g home internet with speeds of 300-1000mbps. I decided to try it. After a month of use and nothing but issues, I had my slowest day yet on the Internet. Checked my speed, 150-180mbps according to Verizon. Contacted support and was told to do a factory recent. Hesitant but did it anyways. Only for my internet to still be slow. I check again, and Verizon is saying 150-180 mbps. So I check 5 seperate websites and they're all telling me my speeds are under 5 MBPS. So I contact Verizon again and this time I'm finally told that my area isn't eligible for 5g but LTE which is speeds up to 50 mbps and even then that's not what I have!!!! and that I can upgrade it to the LTE home plus for free. I don't want free upgrads I want to know why I'm being lied to. Why was I sold 5G internet when it's not 5g internet. Why am I getting false speeds from Verizon? Horrible experince. UPDATE: T-Mobile cut my bill in half! I moved my four lines and they were able to get me a FREE Galaxy S21 and a FREE iPhone 12. I am so glad the Cliff Gifford treated me like garbage and made me leave Verizon. I walked up to the store with three customers in the store. There were two employees without customers leaning up against a table. I was asked if I would be upgrading today. I responded , no I had a problem with my existing phone. He then told me it would be a 40 min wait and I would need to wait outside. He then went back in the store and leaned against the desk with the other employee not with a customer. I can not say enough about Toula at the Chandler Crossroads location. She was extremely patient and helpful with all my questions and problems, which were many. She got everything fixed for me and even saved me some money. I had a not-so-great experience at this store a few days before with another clerk, so I very happy to have Toula help me in this way. Upgraded from the google pixel to an IPhone. Walked in with the new phone for in person guidance and advice on syncing the contacts, etc between both devices. I preferred to work with the customer service 1800# but we wanted a case as well so I caved in to my 14 year old and we went in person (this was his phone ) There was no customer service provided. It was Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm and they close at 8pm. There were at least 4 employees working and a young man walked up to us. We explained what we wanted to do and he sent us away saying all we need to do was move the SIM card from the pixel to the iPhone and a call to activate wasn't needed as the SIM card being put in the new device is all that was needed. This was completely wrong information and I'm not sure why he wasn't willing to actually take time to work with us. His lack of help and horrible advice caused two days of trying to fix his error. We left without even purchasing the case because I was stunned with his "do it yourself attitude". Super disappointed as I expect these employees to understand about upgrades, accounts and moving contacts and activating a new phone. I've had Verizon service for my family for 20 years and over the last ten years have had an expensive family plan. I will go back to upgrading through BestBuy! If I could give negative stars I would. I have had Verizon for over 20 years. For the last 5 days I have not been able to make or receive calls. Three days ago I contacted customer service. I still have not heard back and no improvement in service. Five of my neighbors have the same problem. We have to drive over a mile to make or receive calls. They live to sell you expensive phones and get your monthly payment- but when it comes to providing service- well- they don't even get back to you. Done! read more

Went there for a broken screen protector replacement. Got questioned if we had a mask. Ok, I'm fine with that. It's a different world. The problem is they will not touch our phones to repair them. They hold their phones, company iPads, open door and accept cash for payment without wearing gloves but won't touch phones that could be easily cleaned or WEAR GLOVES!! I get the covid-19 thing. Been a provider in the ER for 20 years. If you are worried about contamination, use your brain and common sense. Don't be inconsistent with your personal protection equipment. Curious if my 84 year old mother would be refused service on her phone. I'm pretty sure the Americans with disability act (ADA) covers her against refusal of service for a needed phone. read more

Never even looked me in the eye and only said next... next... no... you have to do that... not our problem... and adamantly said " NO THAT CANNOT BE DONE" when asked if we could somehow just lock the phone down...and the negativity continues over 45 min in store I finally asked if he was going to help or should I just start over He said I really doesn't matter to me what you choose So I left... went to the car and called Verizon Tech help, they were helpful getting me to the point of now I just needed to contact Apple... this only took about less than 10 min. What do the DMV, Postal Service and Verizon have in common? Lack of customer service. Since these businesses have a monopoly on what they offer (yes Verizon has better coverage than the other carriers), their front-line customer service reps don't seem to care that your patronage pays their salary. They have no incentive to provide you an outstanding experience. Rather than make you feel welcome and appreciated, you are more likely to feel as though you are a nuisance to their day. In the 20+ years we have been with Verizon, after multiple phones, tablets and accessories purchased, I can only recall 2 reps that made us feel as though our purchases were appreciated. Unfortunately, the other 60 or more visits have been less than pleasant, There's actually anxiety when you realize that you HAVE to go to a Verizon store for an issue. The same dreaded feeling of having to go to the dentist. Last night was no different. As my name was called the rep who was there to provide the customer service failed to smile or even provide a greeting. So I smiled even more and decided that I was not going to be deterred. I explained my situation, along with my expectations, and the rep proceeded to do some things on my old phone, type stuff onto her tablet, open my new phone case and then say the offer we had been made was not applicable or available. She insisted I must have purchased on a non-corporate store (no, it was this actual store and the account should reflect that). So now it was up to me to find the offer on their website and show them what they couldn't find. Which I did 30 minutes later. However, at that point I decided I was not giving Verizon $1,200.00 of my money for such horrendous ongoing customer service. I returned the phone and will be giving Apple my money directly. For some reason, Apple reps actually understand that my money and happiness translates into jobs and money for them. Verizon should try teaching their reps the same idea.. PS. Mike helped us this evening and I must say not much personality but great service. We went in to activate our new iPhone 5 and it took all of 15 minutes but then.... DO NOT buy at this location all they do is lie. I was lied to by 2 different employees last one stating he was manager but had no name tag on. Attempted to do a warranty exchange on my iPhone 12 pro, they lied saying they didn't have one. Although multiple stores told me they did and customer service did as well. They said we can overnight you one "Brand New" they overnighted a phone but it was a refurbished. I am so glad I did and will never go to another Verizon store again. We were seen in about 10 minutes and met Craig who was the best customer service person at one of these stores that I have ever had. He was patient with me because I am so dense when it comes to technology. He got my kids phone and had the screen protector put on at my request. He explained in great detail exactly what we needed to do to get my sons old phone backed up prior to activating the new one. He also helped me with my own old iPhone 7 Plus. He walked me through adding more cloud storage and backing up my own phone. He was such a pleasure to work with, answered all of our questions twice and with a smile. Verizon would be a lesser customer service provider without Craig. I have dealt with this store for years and had OK service in the past but recently the staff here went way above and beyond to help me out. I have a commercial account and I needed to add two phones. Last Wednesday, Michelle helped me and directed me toward two phones that were free but also had a $100 bill credit each, after the first month. (Score) I also needed some tablets. I already have a few Samsung Galaxy 6" tablets that work well. Michelle told me they were on sell for $100 and they would each have a $25 credit to my account. I decided to wait on the tablets as I don't need them for about a month. However I had a bad car charger that was only about a month old and Michelle got a manager to replace it for me free of charge. (Score again) A week later I get a call from Michelle at the Verizon store, The Samsung Galaxy Tablets are now FREE with a 2 year plan and I still get the $25 bill credit. I asked her to grab me 3 and I would be in the next day to get them. (Score Again,) I have never had a sales rep pay that much attention to my needs but it didn't stop there, she knew I needed cases for the tablets and this store was out so she stopped by another store the next morning and got the cases from them so I wouldn't have to make another trip. (Score again) I had 3 tablets that were eligible for upgrades so we upgraded those, got 3 more, got cases and I needed some other accessories that the manager couldn't discount but she authorized another $100 credit to my account. I know this store is busy and I have had to wait 3- minutes in the past to be helped but when they treat you like this, it is worth the wait. read more

After looking on their website, it showed I could of gotten the phone I wanted for 300 if I signed the two year contract which I was going to do because my trade was going to be worth 275. So, I'd get the phone for 25 bucks. Had I purchased online, that is how it would have worked out. Unfortunately I was in that area for this store with my daughter and she wanted to see what it would cost to upgrade her phone as well so went into the store. Corey the sales rep told us he didn't know anything about the 2 year deal but had a great deal on up to 100 bucks on free merchandise for each phone if we went edge. I somehow let myself get suckered into it. Well, turns out the merchandise was not free at all. Later that evening when I received the payment email it was showing first due was going to be over 600 bucks. I went back the next day and the assistant manager didn't know what the sales rep had done but said merchandise was not free even though the sales rep clearly told both myself and my daughter it was. He ended up crediting me the trade and a credit to offset the merchandise and other charges Corey had put on there so I lose out on my trade in and now am stuck on the flex plan until I pay off the phone. I wish I had done it on the Internet instead. I'll never walk into another Verizon store again and since I'm not on a contract for service I'm going to look elsewhere and just pay on the phones until I can pay them off. I've been in this store several times, but normally I'd rather just call in to Verizon. What I find odd is that Verizon telephone customer service is pretty much excellent. In the 20 years I've been with the company (or the people they bought out, like Alltel), their phone customer support provides consistently awesome service. I think there have only been a few calls that I was unhappy with. With that said, when I have come into this store, the wait times are long. Someone will always tell me, someone will be with you right away. A LONG time later, someone does attend to me. Granted, maybe making an appointment would be better? So, instead of a 1 star here for wait time, I give it a 3 star and take some of the blame myself. How kind, right? We've often left because we've waited so long that we forgot why we came in there for. Wait times usually on the phone are fairly short, unless it's around the holidays. In November, I came in to add a new line to my account. Kevin was the one who helped me and he was super nice. To make a very long story not as long, I had asked the right questions and I figured he knew what he was doing. He told me some truths and some lies. Of course, I just believed everything he said. This caused me to make make numerous phone calls to get his lies corrected. Verizon honored everything he said, even if they were lies. I think it helped that I have been a good customer with a perfect payment history for over 20 years. In the end, with a lot of other people's help, mainly telephone customer support (Henry was the best one as he followed up with me for over a month to get me the help I needed), I ended up paying what I should have paid in the first place. If not, I would have had to pay or be out close to $300 because of Kevin's lies. I guess the person that reviewed him in 6/2014 didn't have to deal with his blatant lies and unwillingness to make things right, rather other people had to deal with his mess and my irateness. Heidi, the store manager, when I made my final call regarding this issue back in March, was the last call I had to make regarding this. And my account was credited the $100 I was supposed to get for adding a new line back in November 2014. I forget the number of calls I had to make to Verizon and the time spent here getting money credited to my account and extraneous charges due to Kevin's unprofessionalism. If there were more people like Kevin working for Verizon, especially on phone support, I would have left Verizon in the first year, foregoing any losses. Thankfully most are not like him. Kevin was nice to begin with, but once there were any issues, he totally changed his demeanor rather than make it right and have a good attitude, owning up to his mistakes. For all of this fiscal that took 5 months to resolve, I give it a ZERO star. But, the fact that Verizon telephone customer support was able to reverse all the charges they could, minus the last $100 credit to my account, I give them a 5 star. You say this should be a 2 1/2 star then? Well, that isn't part of the rating system. Normally I would round up for reviews, but in this case I rounded down. Heidi did get the credit back to my account and I don't understand if the phone support could immediately credit my account, why couldn't she, since she was the store manager. My billing date ends the 19th and I had called the 20th. She said it would not go in the current bill but in the next bill. Why? Anyway, this is a corporate location and I just don't want to ever come in here again. Never a good experience. Thanks to Verizon phone support this is at least a 2 star and not a 1 star. But, I don't think the store really cares. And, as one will notice, I do my best to give not only good reviews that are helpful. Most reviews I give 4 or 5 star - 76% of reviews. 14% of reviews fall in the 1 to 2 star, which, for me, I look hard to see and give any positives I can. Some of my 1 stars should be zero stars.
