Been thinking about switching to Verizon and decided to walk in on Memorial Day. Glad it was not busy. The store is very clean with lots of seating. We were greeted when we arrived. We met with Cristian. He did a great job going over the different bundles they had and took his time to go over pricing and answer all our questions. He was also able to help us review our current subscriptions and internet cost. My work phone is under Verizon and I realized I had better coverage at home with it than my current provider. With Cristian's help we were able to switch over to Verizon. He made the process very easy. If you need help definitely ask for Cristian. read more

This is by far the most unprofessional and unbelievably timely experience. It literally took 45 minutes to pick up an online order. I have been coming to this store for years now. Each time, I have some sort of issue. Today though was the worst. We bought a phone a week ago, trying to switch from Apple to Android. We were told we had 30 days to bring it back and pay a restocking fee if it didn't work out and go back to Apple. Basically, the worker there was extremely rude. Didn't even acknowledge us as we came into the store and just stared at us (we thought she was a customer). When we asked for assistance is when she came over and identified herself as a Verizon employee but then couldn't answer any of our questions and seemed annoyed we were requesting to switch back to Apple. I went to this Verizon store to pick up my upgraded phone. I was told it would take 10 minutes, but an hour and 15 minutes later I was finally helped. The staff couldn't figure out how to release the phone to me, and the employee assigned to assist me spent time taking pictures of a customer's dog instead of resolving the issue. This wasted another 30 minutes of my time. Finally, the store manager noticed I was visibly frustrated. He went to the back, grabbed the phone, and handed it to me, saying he'd deal with the release issue later. If he hadn't intervened, I could have been there for three hours total for what should have been a simple pickup. Completely unacceptable service. No wonder why they have a 2-star rating. read more

They always have a huge line and they tell everyone it'll only take 10-15 minutes to be helped, which is NOT the case at all. Don't go to this location unless you want to get a headache!!! THIS LOCATION IS AN AUTHORIZED RESELLER! If you want things done the right way, go into a company/corporate store (there's one located on Broadway in Chula Vista). All these people care about are sales. I came in for an iPhone 17 Pro upgrade from my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Everything went smoothly until I have to return my old phone. The person who helped me had to check the box off to process a shipping order to return my old phone (which he did not do). Now I am in the predicament where I have no shipping label or order to send my phone. On top of that my iPhone 15 pro max still has a balance on it and I will succumb to paying it off because I can't ship my old phone back (due to no shipping order). I've been tossed around numerous customer service agents (all out of country) as well as visited a corporate company store (who said they can't do anything since it was bought at a reseller.) and no resolution has been given to me. Learn from my mistake and either go to a company store or go with a different carrier. The customer service sucks and so does the reception in the east Chula Vista area. read more

I was looking to upgrade to an IPhone 17 Pro in the color blue, but the store close to me did not have it in stock. They said Otay might have it, so I headed over that same day. I had been told be the store and a customer service rep that same week that I would be eligible for a free phone upgrade as long as I upgraded my plan, I would just have to pay the tax for the phone. The worker who helped me was an older bald gentleman with a beard and he was so rude. I explained what I wanted and told me they could only give my 600 for my trade in or 830 if I upgraded to the most expensive plan. And I would still have a monthly payment for the phone. I told him what I was told by the other store and he said that he didn't know how that would be possible unless the store planned on paying for my phone. He was very short and kept trying to get me to upgrade my plan. Needless to say, I walked out. I got on the phone with Verizon, and they gave me the upgraded phone. I paid the taxes, upgraded my plan, just as I was told initially. Don't go here, they will just try to hassle you. Go to the location at University Ave in hillcrest. Im really disappointed with this Verizon Wireless store location Theres almost never enough staff , so youre left waiting or. not helped at all. They advertise a lifetime warranty on screen protector, but what they dont tell you is that you have to register the protector separately. That information should be explained at the time of purchase not hidden until you try to use the warranty. This feels misleading and the lack of communication plus poor staffing makes the experience frustrating. I ended up going to the Best Buy near by to purchase another screen protector. read more

I didn't why this place had such low reviews, well I know now. Customer service isn't bad. I was just totally scammed.. I wasn't told of charges until after I came back to return a phone. I didn't even get back half of my money. The phone was suppose to be a "on us" promotion but walked out of there paying more than 300$ and a whole of hidden fees. The WORST location I've been to. Waited over an hour to buy a phone, only for them to tell me it wasn't in stock and I had to wait a couple days to get it. I waited, no problem. I show up today, wait about 10-15 minutes, only for the girl in charge to say I was supposed to show up before 730, she claimed I was supposed to be given an appointment, but that wasnt the case. You cant turn customers away just because you're ready to go home. You can't waste people's time that way, especially with disdain in your tone. I walked out, and told the rep that originally helped me to cancel the order. He appeared to be busy with a family. Wasting people's time is infuriating, so much for the service industry. I went to this Verizon store to pick up 2 phones that I ordered by phone. Long story, short, the order had not been done properly. The store was very busy and they could have easily told me to call back to corporate. Instead Lucy started to investigate what had gone wrong. It turned out that there was a major snafu in the phone order. The store manager got involved and they went way beyond to settle the issue and get me the phones I ordered. They made sure that I received all the promotions I had received on the phone plus a couple of more to compensate for all the delays. This process took several hours to accomplish. The delays were all causes by Verizon's system. Lucy and the store manager are the heroes. The next time I need a phone I will definitely go straight to this Verizon store in the Otay Ranch Town Center. Buying new phones is always time consuming but Verizon does have good value and good overall coverage throughout the world. Purchasing a phone at this store is at least pleasant. read more

tl;dr Lamest customer service ever. I would not recommend coming here. Appointments mean nothing. I wasted 40 minutes for nothing. Had to take time off of work for this. My phone wouldn't stay powered on and kept shutting off after a few minutes, even fully charged. Made an appointment for 11am. There were two associates. One lady was on the phone in the back of the store. Another guy was already helping someone else. There was one customer ahead of me waiting to be helped. I walked in and was not acknowledged by either associate. I walked around and stood there, waiting...after 5 minutes, I asked the other customer if he had been helped yet. He said no, and he'd been waiting for about 20 minutes. So another 10 minutes go by. The lady in the back was off the phone and went to help the customer ahead of me. Meantime, some other lady and her daughter come in and sign in on a clipboard that I hadn't noticed before that was just randomly on top of a display shelf. Oops, were we supposed to do that? There was no one to tell you to look at a random display shelf to sign in. Anyways, I sign in underneath them and specified that I had an appointment at 11am. The person signed in before me did not have an appointment. Those people were agitated and asked how long the wait was to the guy helping someone else. He says that more employees are coming in at 11:30, there was only two of them opening at 10 o'clock. At 11:40 (!) a dark haired girl comes walking out from the back. She proceeds to walk past me without greeting me, looks at the sign in clipboard and calls the person that came after I did. Now, of course I spoke up, having been in retail customer service for YEARS, this wasn't exemplary standards. I told the girl that I was there before the other lady, but there was no prominent sign in place, PLUS I had an appointment FORTY minutes ago. She says without looking at me, "Oh...we have to call whoever signed in first." At that point, I decided to not waste my breath and energy and go to the real Verizon store 10 minutes away. Two reps on duty on a Sunday. I stood in the store for 10 minutes and neither of the employees acknowledged me. I asked if there was a place to sign in and the rep said that he and the other rep were working with people but he could sign me in. An hour has gone by and I'm still sitting here. I just need to have a loved one who passed away removed from my account. Three couples have entered the store and have not been acknowledged. I had an excellent experience. I initially went with the intention of disconnecting a phone line. I was surprised by how helpful Tony was. The one in broadway just gave me a number to call. However, Tony made sure that it was taking care of. He called and helped me with the process. I wanted to upgrade my phone, but I was worried about the bill increase. Tony made sure that I got a great phone plan and helped me get the iPhone 16 for a low price. What I want to point out is that they really care about customer service. One specific staff member was very rude. Chloe. My dad and I were waiting for about an hour and we saw people who had scanned the QR code LATER than us be able to go inside earlier than us which didn't make sense. Before we were allowed to go inside my dad and I were ready but they had stopped us saying only one person can go inside the store. Multiple people were coming in and out of the store where when they said "Only 1 person is allowed inside" we were confused. I saw my dad trying to express his concerns to Chloe and she had closed the door on him and laughed at him , as I heard and saw it myself. As someone who is supposed to provide customer service, I found it rude that she shut the door on him and laughed at him. I am not usually the one to rag about poor customer service or just a poor performance by a company, but the last several interactions I've had with Verizon has put me over the edge. It all started with me wanting a new iPhone (15). I ordered one from a Verizon office before they were released and thought it would arrive around the release date (Sept 22). After several weeks of not receiving a phone, I went by the local store (where I ordered it) and was told I should have it within a week. Time passing very slowly...(2 more weeks) I happen to go by Best Buy and they have lots of them.... I go back by my Verizon store...they still have none, so I cancel my order and go to BB to get my new phone. (STRIKE 1) The following week it turns out that AT&T is putting fiber internet in our area, so my wife talks to them and thinks we can get a better deal with them. We cancel the Verizon 5G we have (lots of problems...we keep getting switched to LA stations on YouTube). Verizon (AT THE TIME) tells me not to return the hardware because of the age. Then I get a bill of $300 for NOT returning the hardware. (STRIKE 2) I call Verizon and they say they will send me a box and label to return the hardware. Two weeks later, box and label arrive and I return hardware the same day I received the box (Nov 14). December 6th I get a bill for the $300 for not returning the hardware. I call (rather angrily) and their "customer rep" agrees that they received the hardware back in Nov 17, but that she has to put in a "ticket" for me to get credit. Today I spent 70 mins ((STRIKE 3) on the phone with 4 different people trying to get this off my bill. They sent me a confirming email that it's corrected. Question...what would make me ever want to do business with this company again??? read more

Horrible !!!! I went to trade in 2 devices. And the iPhone was added but not the watch. The guy who helped me said it takes time to be added and I'll be able to see. Turns out 2 years later only the phone was credited and I never got credit for the watch. I was paying for the watch the whole time without credit of my trade in. Don't trust them and make sure you follow up because they never do anything right ! This is a whole mess for trusting someone and I even followed up with him to make sure everything was okay and he said over the phone that it was. Now by calling and looking online I found this out and the watch is almost paid for. Don't trust them ! I would've never known if I didn't call and look.
