My fiance and I just bought 2 new phones from Omar. We got there 1 hour prior to closing not realizing the whole process would take 2 hours or so. They helped us right away and stuck by our side the entire time. As they started to close, he continued to help us and take care of everything. I had to sync my phone at home and had a lot of trouble but Omar texted me off the clock through the process. They were plenty of staff unlike all the other negative reviews and everyone was friendly. Maybe treat people the way you wish to be treated and don't get mad at them for a long wait time. First off let me just say that I created a Yelp account just to give this review because my experience was AMAZING ! I went into the Verizon corporate store to do an upgrade because my iPhone 5 was starting to shutdown. They were a little busy when I first got there but they were all super friendly and the overall vibe of the store was really nice. A guy by the name of Tyler is who helped me. Boy oh boy was he THE BEST ! I've never had a good experience going into a phone store and I've always left paying waaaay too much ! Tyler listened to all of my needs, wants and rants about how I feel I'm paying too much. He then started to do some research on his tablet and was asking me what I use my phone for and how often I use it. He then told me what he does on his phone and how he uses both Apple and Samsung ! He then proceeded to tell me why he likes Apple more and what he uses his devices for. Anywho after all of that I decided to go with Apple again and he told me what he could do to save me a great penny. I have never had someone who was as personable and chill as Tyler. He really knows his job and has a thing for technology (2 phones and a iWatch). I really just love how he was not a pushy sales person. He made a few recommendations based on what I told him and it all made complete sense as to why I needed it. If you want BAD SERVICE, go here. I go in to get a case for my Droid phone. I had to wait behind 3 people. I waited for close to 30 minutes. The guy asked me to come over and put in my password to my account (As I had to give them my cell number when I walked in to get on the list) ... I asked why and he said it was required. I really questioned him as to why I had to log in to my account just to buy a case. Finally I broke down and put in my password. After looking at my account he immediately told me that I really should upgrade my phone and my data plan. I said "NO! - I just want a case for my existing phone!". It's as if I hadn't said a word. He said he had a great deal on upgrades and so on... Pressing for a sale. I finally walked out! I went over to a big tech store next door, asked for a case, got one, and went home. read more

The customer service for those who are not super savoy has really gone down hill in this location. They are somewhat good with the women but leave the men to fend for themselves. we will find another location to get the help we need. This place deserves negative stars. I went into the store with my father in law to get an iPhone. Jon "helped" us by first fervently attempting to dissuade us from getting the iPhone stating multiple times that "99%" of people who switch from android to iPhone return their iPhones to the store. He said that it was too difficult to switch operating systems. We pushed on ahead to his dismay. He then ran into an issue where since we had a pending plan change (called in earlier that morning) he told us that we'd have to call into reinstate the plan change after he cancelled it. This and the hard sells on cases and chargers plus their horrible insurance convinced us to drop everything and go to the Apple Store. Wow, what a difference! Later we found out that Verizon reps get no commission on Apple products but get $50 for each Android sale. No wonder. Verizon: stop encouraging a culture of used car salesmanship, fear based sales tactics and liars. I will never go to this location again. read more

My three week old phone died on Monday. Verizon was going to send me one overnight but there was a snafu and I wasn't going to get my phone until Saturday. I said that was unacceptable, was there a phone at a Verizon store I could go pick up. She sent me back to the same phone store that ordered the phone to be delivered to me. The store that told me they had no phone to give me when I said that as a caregiver I didn't want be without my phone for another day. When I went to pick up my phone the manager was out to lunch and the associate couldn't authorize the exchange. This is when I found out that had the phone that was supposed to be overnighted to me arrived, it would have been a refurbished phone. SO, I would have been left paying for a new phone while owning a refurbished one. After 1 year or even close to that, I might have found that acceptable. After 3 weeks it simply was not. So what they didn't have at that store to give me was a used phone. They had a new one but didn't want to give it to me. Earlier when I came to the store to get a sim card, which they thought was the problem with my phone, the clerk said that is why they recommend the insurance because that's just the way the technology is today, things go wrong. BTW, even with the insurance, after 2 weeks, you still get a refurbished phone. Well, it sounds more to me like shoddy material and shady business practices. While I appreciate that in the end I have a new phone. I realize that was more luck than anything and I owe a debt of thanks to the post office for delaying that overnight package. read more

This store has horrible customer service. My phone had a virsus a week and a haf ago and I came to the store for help and they just said your sim card is wiped clean and offered no solutions. I called the customer service and they sent me a new phone and because of the holidays I am having a difficult time getting the local store to help me and review the sim card to make sure it is ok to use. We have never been Verizon customers but last June 2011, when reviewing banking information my boyfriend discovered his future ex wife whom he separated from in 2005 opened a Verizon account which we learned from Verizon she opened on-line using his information without his consent. He immediately called Verizon and was told they would send an assumption of responsibility to the ex, he also texted her regarding the need to remove him from the account she fraudulently established but she either ignored, or refused the request. An additional call was made to Verizon in August 2011 and my BF was told by Tameka that he was removed from the account. Unfortunately, follow up last month revealed my BF is still the responsible party but we were able to accomplish some things in the store to protect him. The bottom line is there are 5 phone lines, none of which have ever belonged to my BF because Verizon asked for nothing more from the ex to create this fraudulent account on-line than his social and date of birth. This is wrong and more should be done from all wireless carriers, utility and credit companies to ensure unethical people like her can't do things like this. Thankfully, with the help of the awesome people at the Verizon store we were able to start the process of rectifying this situation which will probably include a report to the Fraud department and termination of the service. I don't know why someone would think they could get away with using their spouses social security # to gain access to things like cell phones, credit cards, or mortgage modifications but some people who are used to manipulating the system, lying and playing the victim may not understand that in the real world, forgery, identity theft and fraud are criminal offenses. Overall, we appreciate Verizon and their willingness to help resolve this matter. read more

I was in search for a pre pay phone to get away from my higher phone service with t mobile. I went to this store and was immediately greeted and then told that it would only take a couple of minutes and someone would be with me. After no more than two minutes, I was introduced to Cameron who stuck with me and explained everything he could until I left with a phone in hand and a plan that I can live with. I was told several times that Cameron was training, but he was professional, friendly and had a great sense of humor and it was a pleasure dealing with him. When he wasn't sure about the question that I had, he immediately went to another sales person and asked or even when he was unsure, he checked so he could give me correct answers. He even synced my phone numbers into my new phone before I left. I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with Verizon, but after this experience, I feel very good about my choice. read more

Well I walked in to the store with my daughter and there were ten employees standing around talking to each other. I walked up to the counter and waited for ten minutes for one of them to come over and help and had to finally interup thier conversation for help. After I asked for help I had to wait another five minutes while they stood staring at me. I spoke plain freaking english. HELP PLEASE? They were rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. Got here and was told I was behind four customers. Little did they tell me the wait (not to mention no seating) was going to be 45 minutes before someone began assisting us. Service took 20+ minutes. Verizon has the worst customer service I have encountered. Cannot talk to anyone on-line without a long wait. They have automated agents on their website. Went to this store to cancel my account and found out 3 days later that the account is still active. You cannot cancel your account until the end of your billing cycle, I wasn't told that at the store. What business does this? I am ecstatic to leave this company. read more

Stopped by on my home from Sacramento and picked up a couple of Father's Day gifts. My husband just opened one and it was an empty box! I am so upset!! This store is way out of our way, at least an hr from your house. Will never be there again! So sorry I ever stopped there to pay for a gift that turned out to be an empty box! I have an iPhone 4S and needed to switch carriers from an economical standpoint, from Verizon to T-Mobile. What Verizon, AT&T (whom I had service with before) neglect to tell you is that these iPhones are locked and is virtually impossible to unlock, though it is said that you can. I had a conference call with Verizon and AT&T and neither one of those alleged IT knuckleheads said they could unlock it. Basically, you are handcuffed and it pisses me off. Exact same thing happened with my wife. I'm not saying overall carrier service is bad, it's the fact that they don't tell you about these locked phones forces you to stay with same carrier or buy a new phone if switching carriers. It's underhanded and I am done with any and all Apple Products. read more

This place is a complete waste of time and exemplifies the lack of customer service that is rampant in large companies such as this one. They don't care, and neither do their employees. I ordered a phone and they sent me the wrong version, and since they did not have the correct version in stock they could NOT order me another one without having mine in their possession (ie. I would be without a phone until the new one came in). Was told there was nothing they could do, and he tried to sell me something else, really? Thankfully there was someone at the 800# that was able to override their ridiculous "rule" and send me my phone, she was the only one that had any knowledge of the product and of customer service. went to this store today, because my phone got stolen, the guywho greets at the front got my info. and tell me when he was done he was going to help me, i waited and i see about 6 more workers , 3 of them where helping others and there was an elderly couple who came after me they just needed to pay their bill with a check , no one came to help., they send them to wait too!!!!!!! ONE DAY they are gonna be that age and hope they pay it back. Have been here many times before and their customer service sucks! I have a smartphone that keeps glitching. I have nothing on my phone except for a few apps to make my work day more efficient, not 1000 pictures or 5000 songs, so my phone should be fine. I work for Intel by the way so I know more than most about technology. Phone was under warranty and they couldn't do anything about it except offer my a new phone at retail. $650, really? Is 'stupid" written on my forehead? I also wanted to get a tablet so I could be out of the office more with clients. i.e. make more money! I had to practically pull teeth to get them to sell me one which they never did. I could see they have a new store manager and do you think he helped? NO. He suggested I go to AT&T "if I wanted the perfect phone." Where do these employees come from? I've never seen employees communicate as if they are trying to go out of business.
