Avoid this Verizon location at all cost, travel to a farther location if you have to to receive ATLEAST decent customer service. I had a negative experience with Ricardo, General Manager, and his employee (don't recall her name, short Black woman with curly hair, average/slightly overweight). Poor customer service, lack of empathy, negative attitude from the employee and blasé attitude coming specifically from Ricardo. I came to Verizon to switch my line over to them and Ricardo's employee had a poor attitude from the start of our interaction. Very unusual behavior. If you hate your job, I get it. But I'm a person who deserves common decency, especially when I've expressed kindness from the jump. I give people who work front line customer support roles NOTHING but respect because I understand the role and people can be difficult. Her attitude and demeanor was so uncalled for. The employee also communicated inaccurate information multiple times during our interaction when attempting to switch my service to Verizon. When trying to come to a point of resolution after my second visit to the same location, I spoke with Ricardo, he was short and lacked any concern regarding his employees attitude. This is the only Verizon shop near West Los Angeles where the staff is able to set up a standalone watch line for the Apple Watch, without a Verizon phone account. I tried to other Verizon shops near west Los Angeles and they all denied that this was possible. I did this last year. Thank you very much Culver City Verizon shop on Jefferson Boulevard. read more

I made an appointment and went in on time. My SIM card was failing off and on. I'm the GC of the company, but they said I had to be "made an administrator" before they could help me. I got my boss on the line, but they refused to believe it was really her. They said she would have to call 611 and get me added as an admin. I said I'd speak to our exec assistant on a weekday, and asked them if they could not assist in the meantime with a temporary fix. Response: "What do you want me to do, sing your phone a song to make it feel better?" Today I got hold of customer service who told me they did need permission from an admin but certainly did not need the admin to call 611. And they helped me install an ESIM card over the phone. Why go to the store at all? Just to waste time and get really rude treatment? read more

Manager was extremely rude, cutting her eyes, and acting like we were suppose to be advanced in tech. Wasted my time and after having me call my dad( who was at work) , who had to navigate thru the authorization process, which took at least 15-20minutes. After getting the approval that I could speak to them about my phone. Once all that was finished another representative then ask for my ID. I run to the car to get it and then he says we can't help you your not 18. Why didn't they ask all of that in the beginning? I explained my phone suddenly stopped working and they didn't have any viable options to get it fixed or replaced at that time. Just really frustrated and a big waste of time. Everything on my older iPhone worked except the actual phone (and text messages). I went in thinking I need to upgrade. The woman who helped me could have just taken my money but she suggested we first try a new SIM card. It solved the problem and I was out of there in just a few minutes, having NOT spent whatever a new phone would have cost. That was great customer service. read more

Bummer, since my dog's name is Joey. Went in this morning to see if they could give me a new J key. No. Do you maybe have an old phone that you could take the J key off of? I have been with Verizon for more than 20 years and I have never been to a store this bad. This store actually made me cry. All I wanted to do was upgrade my iPhone, simple as can be, but I was wrong. I get to the store and wait in line, I understand it's covid, and the security guard said someone will be right with you. A lady was being helped in front of me and out pops the rudest representative I have ever met. She comes up to me and goes "what do you want". I was on the phone with Verizon at this time trying to upgrade my phone and I told her what was going on. After an hour of being on the phone with Verizon, I am trying to get this representative to work with me because I had no access to email since my phone was broken. This lady says "we don't need your business here, just go to Best Buy" which is exactly what I did. I have never been treated so disrespected, like my money wasn't good enough at this store. She also continued to make a scene why I was not wanted there. The lady in front of me turned around and asked the rep why she was being so rude. I have been with Verizon for 20+ years. Recently I paid for travelpass for me and my wife to go to Portugal. The service did not allow for outbound calls, internet or Navigation . I have spoken with 6 reps who always say they are going to credit my account . After 9 weeks I give up. We are going to cancel tomorrow and go to ATT. read more

I have been going to this Verizon location since I got my first cell phone at 15 and long before it had this larger location on the corner. I go because it's closest to my house. The customer service there is always just okay. I've never really have had a rude experience there but I have also never really experienced any of the employees going out of their way. And this goes back to just as recently as a month ago when I bought an iWatch from there. Once again, the man who helped me wasn't at all rude, but the experience wasn't memorable either. Today, my current iPhone froze with an error message that said the device was not supported. I couldn't turn my phone off and thought for sure it was going to be time to turn in my iPhone 7+, which I was not ready to do because I am enjoying my $88 bill. (Verizon customers can really appreciate how rare that is.) I thought for sure I was gonna have to get the 11 today and had already resigned myself to that fact. However, the man who worked the check in iPad today was sooooo nice and saved me phone. He simply pulled out a tools and in less than a minute, my phone was back on. He explained to me that it was probably lent or something on the sensor in the charging port. He told me in detail how that message is triggered and didn't make me feel like an idiot for thinking that the phone was now useless. I am so mad that I didn't get his name. I believe that employees who provide great customer service deserve just as much (if not more) recognition as bad employees with no customer service skills. One of the sales persons from Verizon Business, which is handled from this Verizon location in Culver City, walked into my business in Inglewood and offered lower price service for our four phone lines. We declined, but she (Marisol) came in the next day offering lower cost service and five free replacement phones - and our company only had to return one. We accepted and within the week five phones were sent with one return box. We sent back one phone, but no one called to help us switch over. Marisol disappeared. We have to get two of the lines switched over via an affiliate Verizon store ourselves. THEN we were billed for all the phones. And when a business service person, Jasmine, did contact us on September 4 to take care of it, she actually never followed through and our business lines were cut off by Verizon Billing on September 21. The first time in 12 years we have been late on a bill for anyone. I had to spend six hours on the phone and seven hours in two different Verizon offices to discover there was nothing I could do to get my business lines back up unless I paid Verizon $2,700.00. So I had to pay. And the phones are cheap old I14s by the way. read more

This Verizon said I had to come in person to activate a new phone after mine suddenly had almost no battery charge, after I had just fully charged it. I had been there as my car needed repair and the needed parts have been delayed repeatedly, until about now this week, as recorded in written invoice, text and voice messages. During my original visit at this Verizon, the representative said she did not know how to transfer or backup my phone and just to come first to activate the new phone after it arrived, then handle backup and transfer. I had to research backup and transfer myself to ensure, for example, I arrived with my phone mostly charged to do this. I messaged Verizon about the delay and received no answer. Instead, weeks after, I just received a Verizon message threatening to charge my card the new phone and not addressing any of that delay. I have been standing outside this Verizon store's locked door since about 7:10pm, about over a half hour, after checking its Yelp each day that it closes at 8pm. I have seen what appears to be at least one if not two employees who can hear me knocking on the door sign saying it does not close until 8pm. The Verizon internet site says this too. I called this store and was disconnected. At the same time, I can hear it sounds like two female employees speaking inside in the back, as I have been knocking repeatedly. Timory yelled through the locked door after a half hour that they decided to close early and know their sign says they are open and that they did not update the sign. They said if they are short-staffed they could decide at the last second to close early tomorrow too. They said no other Verizon store nearby is open. However, this is not true. They refused to check or answer what open location is nearest or check if you charged my card for the phone. I am now at the Sepulveda Store Suite C after hurrying here to 8726 S Sepulveda Blvd Ste C, Los Angeles, CA 90045. Please do not charge my card, as if you do I am going to dispute it and file a complaint as needed. I am now charging my phone since thankfully I brought my charger. My mostly charged battery, originally apparently necessitating replacement, has been almost entirely used calling this store a half hour as I have been knocking, only to be disconnected. read more

I live in a condo building. Came home and found some guy sitting in our stairwell. I asked him politely if he was a guest in the building. He said yes. When I asked who he was a guest of (unit, name), he basically said everyone (that he was visiting everyone). When pressed he responded that he was a guest of Verizon customers, but he could not name a unit. He would not identify himself except as a Verizon employee. I finally told him quite forcefully to leave the building, but he would not. Finally when my partner began filming him he left. Verizon: private spaces are not offices for your employees (if he was indeed an employee). Very bad customer manners from this guy. This neighborhood is a prime area for various types of break-ins and thefts. Your people should be more aware of using private property. read more

I'm updating the old review after today's great experience with Shante. I've spoken with her several times & she's been very helpful. She's very knowledgeable. I've had various glitches come up with the phone & tablet. Shante has been able to resolve the problems. I know that it's not easy dealing with the public. I think the staff at this location do make an effort to be helpful. I went to another location & had a horrible experience. If I need to wait for 40 minutes to get a prepaid plan( obviously I walked out of the store without getting one) then there is some problem with the store manager who is not able to manage the resources right. Only 2 employees actually assisting customers and 2 employees just signing in people on some tablet and wandering around the store. I bought an iPhone at the Santa Monica location earlier in the week and was told no matter which other location I go to, just let them know that I've already paid the data transfer/activation, which will be reflected on my account. I come to this location and the manager refuses to set up my phone since I paid for data transfer at the other store. I get on the phone with customer service inside the store and put them on the phone with the manager so it can be communicated that set up can be administered at any location, and I'm still refused. This location is much closer to my home than the store I originally paid at, so it is not only inconvenient, but they lost a customer today. I was obviously planning to purchase a screen protector, phone case, among other accessories for my new device. There was zero customer service such as an apology or "have a nice day" on my way out...nothing. I recommend the Santa Monica location on Wilshire for all your cellular needs. Ask for Grace - she is an absolute pleasure, unlike these people. read more

I was desperate to get my new phone active, and just ten min before closing I arrived and rushed in to the store. I am greeted by the security guard and he explains to me they aren't taking new appointments. Frantically, I explained that I signed up for the service online/over the phone and that I got cut off mid activation. The sales associate over heard my concerns, came over, signed me up for an appointment ... a min later someone (Preston) else came over to address my concerns, I explained my situation. In a very professional and calm demeanor he explained to me the different options. Sometimes calling Verizon to speak to a representative isn't enough. Sometimes you want that face-to-face contact, or hands-on demonstration. And this is exactly what I want when it comes to getting the most out of my phone's features. Last month I bought the iPhone XS Max 256gb (not at this location, but in Cerritos) and though I had a flawless purchasing experience there, the store associate did not really walk me through the features of this new phone. So I was in the area at the Westfield Mall, (think it was on a Wednesday night) and on my way back to OC decided to stop at this Culver City location. I just wanted to check out the iPhone XS Max 512gb model and see it's specs vs the phone I have (if it's just memory) and to check out the iPhone XR. They were pretty busy for a Wed, but I was assisted by a customer service rep named Dior. He was able to show me shortcuts on my phone, how to properly set up Face ID, how to do a hard reset on this new iPhone and how this dual camera truly has the best photo capturing! He also explained the difference of the more expensive iPhone XS Max which was just memory, and broke down the features of the XR. Excellent customer service! 10/10. Just a quick visit, but being a longtime subscriber to Verizon and it's services, you want reps like Dior assisting you. He's knowledgable about the products and helpful. Not just someone who is going to sell you a phone and let you figure out the rest! read more

This was the worst experience I have ever encounter in any customer service setting. The moment I walked in one of the representatives looked at me and said "what do you want" from that moment this man was unnecessarily rude to me. He looked at the box I was carrying and told me he could take the box back but I was going to get charged because he would be generating a generic return slip. This is after I was on the phone with Verizon who verified that this store was a corporate store and that I could return my 5g modem. He talked down to me to the point where I had to walk out. I came back to get this representatives name because I will be filing a formal complaint against this person. Got my cellular phone from this location, over a decade ago. I only know one person who also got his phone from this store, but he's only called me about 10 times over the decade. Even so the Southern California phone block of 310-613-xxxx, has been used to call me over 200 hundred times from this phone block. Verizon should be held financially responsible for allowing robocalls and scams, because I call the number back and about 20 times it's been people that answered and have no idea how there number is being used. read more
