Got my cellular phone from this location, over a decade ago. I only know one person who also got his phone from this store, but he's only called me about 10 times over the decade. Even so the Southern California phone block of 310-613-xxxx, has been used to call me over 200 hundred times from this phone block. Verizon should be held financially responsible for allowing robocalls and scams, because I call the number back and about 20 times it's been people that answered and have no idea how there number is being used. read more

So disappointed with my experience here. Cedric was extremely condescending and rude. If i'm intending to purchase nearly $1,000 worth of technology, you would think maybe I could be given the time of day, but instead was absolutely mortified as he told me to "do my own research" when I asked for some advice on which phone to get. Additionally when someone asks for assistance on how to use iCloud, best not to say, "It's a cloud! if I explained it to you we would be here for another hour!" He told me he spent too much time with me and went to go help another customer, never bothering to check-in or offer assistance. After I bought the phone, Cedric left me to fend for myself. Gone are the days of Verizon helping you transfer information. He actually blamed me for doing it wrong (after he did not explain iCloud) and angrily reset the phone. Get rid of this guy and his bad attitude and find employees who will exercise a little patience. This was a big purchase for me and it was really tainted by this awful employee. Was told that it'd be 10-15min until someone was free. 3 other customer-groups are sitting around, staff are all looking up things on the computer (account stuff I assume). This place looks fine on the outside but it really is a monstrosity in disguise. I went in here wanted to change my plan since their new shared plan is roughly $70 cheaper than my old legacy plan. Jose, the solution manager said that I should add two more mobile hotspot lines for free. I would just need to pay the taxes ($50 for two) and there would be no monthly charges. I thought that was pretty generous but was hesitant since it sounded too good to be true. We decided to get those two "Free" mobile hotspots after checking and confirming with him multiple times that our monthly charges would not change. Couple days later, we received a mail from Verizon confirming that we added these two mobile hotspots but at $10/months for each line. Immediately, I called Verizon customer service to see if this was true since that was not how it was described to us during our visit to the store. Since the mobile hotspot have a 2 year contract, the early termination fee would be $175!!! Good thing I found out about this within the 14 days return period, hopefully I won't get charged for any "restocking" or "hidden" fees when I cancel. Horrible business practice. This isn't my local store, but I took a local friend whose cell unceremoniously stopped charging. Destiny was fantastic. 5 stars for her. She was patient and thorough and located the exact phone my friend wanted. The greeter at the door told us they didn't carry the phone my friend wanted and no store would (only available online.) This led us to waste 30-45 minutes looking at other phones with Destiny before I confessed that what he really wanted was the Lumia 735. "Why didn't you say so?" "The greeter at the door said you don't have it in stock and no store will." At this point, I see a look cross her face that is clear as day. It says, "he lied to you, but I'm not going to throw my colleague under the bus." Instead she says, "let me look in the drawers and in the back, and see if I can find one." She did. We immediately bought it. Everybody happy. But three of us wasted 30+ minutes of our lives due to that greeter. Meanwhile, Destiny was a pro. I even appreciate the professionalism she demonstrated NOT undermining her colleague. Thank you, Destiny! I had an issue with activating my number in family plan, but we spoke to the representative through phone and she was super nice and explained us everything and said all we have to do is to go to the store and ask them to put a new sim card and activate it with absolutely no fee. So I went to the closest Verizon store, the guy greeted me nicely and was ready to help, but then I found out that they gonna charge an activation fee, because they are third party retailer store. So I had to go to one of the Verizon corporate stores to get it done for free. Okay, no problem. Then I went to another one thinking it's corporate, but the guy over there told me he can waive the activation fee only if I buy any accessory for my phone (which is started at $49.99). I said no thanks, I'll go to another store. So finally with a long search of the right place, I came to this Culver City store, that I regret I didn't get it done at the very first place for the fee. As soon as I entered the store, I was asked to get out and wait outside, even if I had a mask on and there was literally no customer inside. In few minutes she came out with no "hi how are you" or "how can i help you". The first thing she said was "what's your problem?". I work in customer service too, but I never let myself to talk with people in this way. I didn't pay attention to that and was nicely explaining everything, but couldn't finish, because she cut me off and said I have to ask the account owner to add me as an account manager, so she can get an access to my account. To be honest, I've never heard about this. Before we used to give an account pin and password, and everybody was happy. But not this time. So I was still outside trying to reach out to the representative through phone to ask them to add me as an account manager. Finally they did it! And I waved her from outside the store to let me in. I really don't know why she has that attitude like somebody forcing her to work there and assist people. She was so rude and I told her that straight. I think her name was Tany or something like that, I barely could see her name tag. I felt so good today before I entered that store, she literally ruined all my mood and day! But even she was rude to me, I tried to stay polite and thanked her at the end. But the experience I had in this store was full of disappointment. My experience was terrible I preordered a phone and the address was wrong I was told to call customer service customer service told me to go back to the store after ebbing on hold for an hour when I went back to the store they still couldn't help me and they told me to call the loyalty department after being transferred around for an hour they just hung up on me. Fed up I went back to the store to cancel the order I placed their only for them to tell me they can't cancel the order. I had a nightmare experience with this Verizon store, and I will NEVER, EVER, EVER go there again. Two days earlier, on cyber-Monday, I had arranged directly with Verizon for an I-phone and 5-GB plan at an outstanding price. The VERIZON PHONE REPRESENTATIVE WAS SUPERB, and she wanted to keep me from leaving Verizon (I have been with Verizon for 7 years). She was on the line with me for a long time, and she found this fabulous deal that I was extremely excited about. All that I had to do was go to a Verizon store, pick-up the phone (assuming it was in stock), be instructed how to use it, then sign that prearranged contract. The Verizon phone representative assured me that I could do this. The person who "helped" me in-store did not comprehend that I was there ONLY to pick-up the phone that I had ordered, and to learn how to use it. Instead, the Verizon store rep insisted that the phone was already on its way to my home. I assured her it wasn't. She said she would cancel the phone coming to my house, but in so doing she cancelled the entire plan. The store would not match the rate of the plan that they had mistakenly cancelled. I just wasted about 5 hours of my life, and that wonderful plan that I arranged for is lost, quite possibly forever. read more

I was looking for HTC One screen protectors and had gone to the location on Wilshire but was told that they didn't have any in stock. The representative actually told me to buy some off Amazon and he'd install for me. I ended up calling Verizon to see if they would reach out to the different stores in the area and see if they carried the screen protectors because I didn't want to pay for shipping. The lucky winner was this location. I was told to ask for Cedric who would help me as the operator had spoken with him on the phone. I walked in and there were a ton of people standing around so I played with a couple phones before Cedric walked up to check me in. How perfect, just the guy I was looking for! I waited no more than 5 minutes before he had my screen protectors and installed it on my phone without any bubbles or lint trapped underneath. Cedric even ran out to my car in the parking lot to give me a jacket that was left in the store, but it actually wasn't mine haha. Still very nice and considerate of him. read more

I want to give this store SOME positive feedback, because there isn't much. Lol! I upgraded my iPhone about a month ago with Cedric. He was pretty helpful & explained my options. I was lucky enough to grab the new iPhone 7 without reserving it, or preordering. I walked in & they had one. My lucky day! So I sit & wait for the manager. The manager George comes out & greets me, I tell him about my credit & he asks for my #, goes to the back & issues my credit. That was pretty easy. I wish Cedric would've done this w/o me having to come in. I quickly get an email from VZN noting my new lowered balance. Very poor customer service. Went in, and I was the only customer in the entire store, I thought "this is great, I will have the best customer service ever". That was not the case. I explained the issue that I have been having with my new phone, and that I have been to other Verizon stores and they told me that I should switch the sim card, as this particular phone have had a lot of issues, and this will hopefully fix it. I wish I could have got helped in those stores as they were at least helpful. This woman first didn't want to change the sim card, saying that is not the issue, my gmail is?! I answered, yes, that what was they though in the beginning to, but got told it wasn't as my internet does not work either, so it is a bigger problem. She looked at me as I was stupid, and then sarcastically ok, well i will change it then. The whole time she was having conversations with all the other co workers, that was just standing around doing nothing. Non what so ever service or attention to me as a customer. I told her that internet is not working, and she said, and gave me a look like I was annoying asking her questions, this might take care of that. I got so frustrated I didn't know what to say. I mean Verizon, as big of a company you are, I think you should screen your employees and actually find out of they have good personalities and customer service before hiring them. I want to give a shoutout to Preston and his manager, Javon. My wife had a headache-inducing situation with her new iPhone 13 Pro. Basically, she received a defective product and online Verizon customer service was supposed to send a new phone as a replacement, but instead sent a refurbished like-new (which also did not work properly). After hours with Verizon's online customer service, we could not resolve the situation (they wanted to charge us $600 to send another replacement), so we decided to come to this Verizon store for help. Thankfully, Preston was very helpful and kind and did everything he could to help us out. We worked with him and Javon (who is very experienced and knowledgeable) and we were finally able to return our defective phones and get a replacement, free of cost. I couldn't ask for more. They answered all our questions, were very courteous, and figured everything out for us. I really appreciate them for giving us their full attention for approximately two hours to get this situation resolved. Let me just start with this: after hearing Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas is You' twice this week while on hold with AT&T trying to obtain simple information about my account while in my car, it was a breath of fresh air to walk in to Springsteen's 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town'; I'm Jewish, so let's be real: I don't get much say when it comes to the music I hear in public this time of year. Regardless, I genuinely abhor that squeaky schlockfest. (Unless it's during Love Actually, because if you don't like Love Actually, you actually might not have a soul in that cavernous waste of a body you call home.) ANYWAY, I came in this afternoon to switch over to Verizon after 11 years with AT&T, and Stanley had me set and ready for a new account ($25/mo. cheaper than its less effective predecessor) within minutes of opening the door for me. Yup, he did that too. Don't think these things go unnoticed. When my phone wouldn't activate because AT&T had evidently put it on lockdown, Stanley let me use his personal phone to call them and remedy the situation. What transpired was a black-and-white dichotomy in good-and-atrocious customer service. With my mom in a sling and expecting me to pick her up within the hour, I sat on the phone for more than half that time as AT&T's operator told me "Sorry, we're experiencing network problems," which eventually led to "We'll have your phone unlocked by Friday," thus leaving me without a line of communication for 48 hours, during which I'll be traveling and you know, continuing to exist in 2018 with an infirmed parent. As if it weren't clear as day, AT&T asked why I was leaving them and if I wanted to take a few minutes to answer a customer satisfaction survey. Enter Ashalee, whom I wish I'd hugged on the way out instead of a mere yet genuine "thank you." Standing nearby and completely uninvolved initially, she proposed offering me a loaner iPhone X until I return next week, and Stanley stayed attentively with me throughout the entire process of backing up and confirming it worked. While this is certainly something I could've done myself, I was a nervous ball of stress eyeing the clock, and I didn't want to leave without a working phone. I've read some of the negative reviews posted about this location, and frankly, it's hard for me to picture these two conducting business this way. You're both angels. Just goes to show: make a little eye contact, show a little patience, hell, tell a joke or two-- and compassion abounds. So thank you once again, Stanley & Ashalee. After 90 minutes, I walked out with no phone. The manager never makes eye contact. She talks to customers while fidgeting with her tablet. Later that night, I ordered the phone online. Tried taking to an online sales rep, but it was clear he was trying to juggle multiple calls at once ... due to his delayed response times. I have been with Verizon for 15 + years. My Verizon experience late Saturday afternoon during the Covid 19 Pandemic was amazing. I took my place standing outside the store location, six feet away from the women standing in front of me. I was waiting less than five minutes when a young man came out to see the other customers in line. To my delight, he escorted me inside, handled my small purchase immediately, and my husband and I were on our way home! Jay Castillo was polite, efficient, professional and super helpful! Five stars to Jay, and I'm super grateful that Verizon on Jefferson Boulevard maintained the six foot rule, had an immaculate store, and thanks to Jay, a satisfied customer. Bamboozled by Verizon In-store Representative I've been a Verizon Customer for 12+ years, which is amazing considering I am frugal and Verizon is known to be the most expensive cell service carrier. But every time I think of switching, I compare with the competition and Verizon always comes out on top with Customer Service and Coverage. However, I am disappointed with our recent transaction. We were ready to upgrade to the IPhone 6s, so we visited the Culver City store and spent about 45 mins with the customer service rep, Alex. He was educated, informative and patient with my less-than-happy-self (me: confusion = frustration), as he explained and wrote out our options between the 2 year Plan, the new LARGE w/Device Payment Plan (DPP) and our current plan. Verizon should have a pre-printed spreadsheet for customers for easy comparison. We touched on our phones and the trade-in information very briefly as it was straightforward. I went home, created a spreadsheet of my own and ran the numbers for the month service plans, even called Verizon twice to verify some information, then settled on: A.) The 2 year PHONE plan (subsidized/contracted) - same one we've always had $300 -$200 Trade in for our IPhone 5s (as advertised) $100 + $70 Tax OUT OF POCKET for the new IPhone 6s x two phones B) Change our PAYMENT PLAN to the new Verizon LARGE 6B unlimited Talk/Text Plan Advice: ALWAYS keep your PHONE purchase, your Trade-In and or any Monthly PLAN changes SEPARATE. In fact, in the future I will only do one transaction at a time. The same tactics that is commonly utilized at used car lots are now being applied at this Verizon store i.e. The Trade-In Trick. We returned to the Culver City store a couple weeks later and met with Verizon Rep, Dante Ellis. The moment we mentioned the two year plan (subsidized/contracted) he got a look of terror in his eyes... "you can only get that online - we no longer offer than in the stores", he said, then followed it with a brilliant smile. I then pulled out my notes out from our meeting with Alex two weeks prior. He said he would have to run this by his manager (this is when is began to feel like we were buying a used car), then walked away with my notes. Returning 15 minutes later he said the manager would be able to honor the 2 year contract plan, then began to talk fast in tech-speak that became difficult, at best to comprehend. He stepped out to speak with his manager 4 times during our transaction 2 hours, $230 later and some free phone accessories (that we did not want or need), we ended up in the Device Payment Plan (DPP) after being thoroughly convinced that the Manager was being very generous with our discounts and either way we would pay the same out of pocket. It was all very confusing (I think Mr. Ellis was as confused as we were) and after spending 2 hours of our afternoon in this store, my husband and I were exhausted, we just wanted our phones so we could go home. Transferring our data from our old phones to new phones was another 45 - 90 minutes, so my husband opted to do his at home on his laptop with the back-up he had done on I-tunes and I left my phone and returned for it later....even though I still can't find my pictures - thank goodness my husband backed them up before we turned in our phones. The receipt in our bag was undecipherable. I work finance for a living and these numbers do not add up. After coming home and running yet another spreadsheet on our upfront and monthly costs, it is plain as day that we got 'had'. I should have stuck with my guns and stayed with the 2yr subsidized program. My husband and I spoke about paying off these phones and moving to another carrier, but I will need to do some research to see if there are any 'honest' phone carriers out there, or if this is just the way things are these days.... read more

BOYCOTT THIS STORE. I say this because Verizon keeps giving me the run around about filing a complaint with this location, so instead I decided to go to Yelp. Like yourself, I saw all of these negative comments, but figured "all I need is a phone upgrade, how could they mess that up??" well they did. The following is a list of events/issues I had: 1) Wrote my name on a torn off piece of paper and informed me that one other person was ahead of me..is this laziness or do they not have a computer system like all other Verizon stores? 2) Woman who helped me (wears Prada eyeglasses, avoid her!) had a lovely bad attitude, gave me the run around about my data package and then tried to talk me into purchasing an android. Mind you the second I walked in I told them (nicely) "I'm here for an upgrade and I would like the free 8gb Iphone 4, black". I naturally gave some attitude back to this rep and asked her to please just give me what I asked for. 3) She took a while in the back and I could see her gossiping with other employees, professional. 4) I went back to being polite, figuring maybe she just had a bad day, and asked her to please sync my contacts. She walks away comes back and says I'm set, gives me a receipt and I'm on my way. Later I realized no contacts had been synced, I have over 200 contacts that I actively use for business networking and I refuse to manually input them. 5) 3 hours later I go to make a phone call and my phone is not activated, in fact BOTH phones were disconnected for the last 3 hours. I have an 85 year old grandfather who needs to be in contact with me and the fact that my phone was off that long without the rep saying anything is outrageous. My roommate had to activate my phone. I can put up with attitudes, but not informing someone that their phone is not activated nor is their old phone working is unacceptable. I will never go to this location again. read more

Last night my brother in law lost his phone. We came to this store because is the closest to their house. We arrived to the store and a guy was standing inside welcoming us. His name is Kei. At first he sounded it helpful. As he continued explaining why we can't buy a new phone at the store and no one would be able to help us. What a liar i just went to another Verizon store with a brand new iPhone 6 plus. We paid full price and didn't have to make any alterations to our contract. One thing is for sure Verizon isn't cheap. With that being said. No one who works here has the right to tell you, your phone is old maybe the iPhone 4 is a bit old i admit it. But my girl has a Galaxy s5. And that is just rude. If you are in the costumer service take the asshole jacket off before you clock in. P.s. Verizon manager keep an eye on you employees especially on that guy Kei. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. The is the worst Verizon I've ever been to. They tried to charge me $20 for a transfer fee when all I needed was a SIM to activate a phone I purchased. I called another Verizon store while in the store and they said they had no idea why they were trying to charge me for something that should be free. When I spoke to the manager about it he said it was a legit charge and asked who it was I spoke to saying I got the wrong information. This place also tried to sell my girlfriend on accessories and plans she didn't need while also convincing her she didn't need her unlimited data plan. Ridiculous. read more
