The most expensive phone company around and there service doesn't even work at my home everywhere else it seems to work fine

Rick (Store Manager) and Enrique are seasoned Verizon pros' They come from Stoneridge and the old Verizon store on Johnson drive so this is why I drive from San Leandro to only have them touch my account, phone and etc. They can fix ANYTHING or solve any problem. The other service pros in the store are probably just as good but I'm so spoiled that I go to Rick and Enrique. Seriously, over 14 years with Verizon...maybe more so folks, you're in good hands here. Rick put me in my 6S phone about 8 years ago before he became a store manager and he was an Assistant store manager back then. Today, I finally upgraded to IPHONE 13 PRO. Everything went smooth... I didn't necessarily like the price but who do? That's not changing from any carrier This is the BEST Verizon corporate store in the Bay Area! read more

When I went in the store was very busy, 4 people in front of me. There was only 1 girl working because the manager had quit. She did a great job of multi-tasking, working 3 customers at a time. INTERNET- Horrid connectivity; internet drops often or is throttled down so as to be unusable. Simple operating system updates need to be initiated multiple times because connectivity is dismal. MOBILE - often have incoming calls rolled to voicemail because there is no connection. read more

What a boilerplate response. No contact information to get back to a particular Verizon customer service department or anything. I placed an order in store for 2 iPhones, and waited over an hour once the order was placed to get the phones. After waiting over an HOUR, the manager finally told us that our order got cancelled due to a system glitch and that we would have to re-order in 2 days once the orders get cleared from our account. I was able to order the phones by calling verizon customer support, but still have not received the refund for the original failed order for over a month. Verizon customer support said that their system showed we cancelled the order that day, but we did NOT and was told by this store that it was a glitch. Ordering from this store has caused a huge headache; just order phones online or with customer support on the phone. read more

I bought phone through website. They said I could walk in to store for transfer info and get phone working. The associate told me they don't do that without an appointment. But I showed him I did have one. He then said it would take hours to do it at there store due to bad work-fi. and recommend I do it at home and it was real easy. I took it home and it was a nightmare. I was on the phone with tech support for over an hour. Before they got it working. The guy at Verizon on did not want to help me. Worse customer service ever! Ordered 4 new phones online and one has a blemish on the camera so I took it in to return. That's what Verizon customer service told me to do since my numbers are not activated yet so they can't get in my acct to help but the store should be able to. I walked in and a guy just took my phone to the back without telling me what he's doing. He walk back out a few min later and said the phone was dropped and need to charge me $50 to restock and exchange once it's opened. I told him it's a manufactured defect. He said again it's dropped. Then I told him I have to open the box first otherwise I wouldn't be able to find the blemish. It's like chicken and egg thing now and wasn't going anywhere with his lack of help. Note: This is hands down THE BEST mobile store I have ever been to. I have been meaning to write this review for some time now. They are absolutely fantastic here. I used to absolutely hate going into a cellular store because you wind up waiting forever for people who have substandard knowledge, lacking customer service and mediocre selection of overpriced products. You often feel like the people who work there are sleazy used care salesmen in training. Here, literally everyone who has ever helped me has been nothing but top notch. Majken has probably helped me the most frequently and it's amazing that she remembers all my details so well. She is wonderful! All of these people seem competent enough to run the store solo. They know the products inside and out. I have never waited for help more than 5 minutes. They keep the store amazingly clean, well organized, and friendly on the eyes. There are items to check out and play with. And they have a huge selection of everything, and at decent prices. Will absolutely keep coming back and highly recommend it. read more

Walked into the store and the manager was very rude. I asked about switching over and he said that I was going to need a transfer pin. As a customer I wasn't sure what that was nor how to retrieve it when trying to ask so he brushed me off and told me it was going to be a 10-15 minute wait until someone was available which was fine. It put a bad taste in my mouth and we ended up leaving. When your working off your wage plus commission you would think the manager especially would be nicer to a potential new customer. read more

The worst customer service came in to buy a phone they told me that I had to call customer service because my phone was in another line. While I was outside customer service told me to ho in and talk to a representative they said that I was not able to do that in the store and walked away. Worst & very Rude Customer service. I had moved from AT&T because it was time to get a 2nd line for my family. Do not get attracted to the credits & freebies they offer. I had huge problems no phone line for a week initially and then their surprise shocking bill and they don't care to be upfront and honest about it. I also paid 300$ upfront for taxes, svc charges and an AirPod which was meant to be free and would be credited back later and sone credits for opening new lines with them. I had been with AT&T for 15 years no surprises at all and first time wanted to give Verizon a shot and huge mistake. They have absolutely no sense of speaking clearly or being honest and upfront with customers.. I had porting issues and no phone line for a week and the store personal didn't even complete Igor help with setup but charged setup charges and left me on my own. endless running around stores and calling Verizon for 5 days was frustrated with their service & no phone line. And I got a huge surprise bill and unexplained charges. My experience was really bad and I decided to switch back to AT&T cause I didn't want to be stuck with them for 36 months because of getting a phone from them. Went back to return their device and AirPods before 30 days and a small scratch on side which I hadn't even noticed and they said the phone is damaged and won't take back and refused to take the unopened AirPods back though within 30 days and accused me off, trying to return a broken phone. The phone scratch I hadn't even noticed must have been like that even when they gave it in first place and they didn't give me the box. Even the unopened AirPods weren't taken back! Billing department informed me to return at store and then I would get a final bill. It's crude aggressive customer service and very unreasonable to name a scratch as damage to phone - they could have assessed and pro-rated the refund, and the AirPods was forced onto me even when I had refused them in first place. I wouldn't mind paying but for good business and customer service. It doesn't matter what freebies they offer, watch the catch and forget about returning. That's why companies like Apple stand apart and are thriving in business.. The horrible experience I had with Verizon I will never forget in life. If you care for peace of mind and want to loose your mind... go try this store particularly. They intimidate and are so so RUDE. I lost about 1300$ and unwanted phone and AirPods but the worse I will never stay with rude customer service agents no matter what!!! Try going to the store and the speed at which they talk and ask clarification you will know. Worst customer service ever! Need to drop off few phones for new customer's trade in program. Received a letter from Verizon saying that I can drop off the devices at their in-store drop box OR request a prepaid recycling shipping label by UPS. I decided to drop off at the store since they only sent me 1 envelop, while I have 3 devices. After I got to the store, there were 2 employees standing by the door. Not even try to greet or help! When I told one of them that I need to drop off my old devices for trade in at the drop box, he quickly said there's no such a box in the store and I will have to drop it off at UPS since I already have one shipping label ! I told him that I got a letter from Verizon and there's an option for in- store drop box; also, they didn't provide me enough boxes/ envelops to ship out the devices. He kept saying there's no drop box in store! Not trying to help or confirm with the store manager, but gave me 2 extra envelop and asking me to go UPS !!! read more

My husband went to Verizon today to get help changing his old phone over to his new phone . Yes some people do need help , and they did help him and did get it set up . We have both had Verizon service for over 17 years . So he was very shocked when they told him afterwards that this service was $29.99 ! Wow really . Was an AT&T customer for 20+ years. Suffered from terrible wireless coverage in Pleasanton for far too long. Couldn't connect with my kids near AVHS, and could rarely connect with family to get last minute requests while at the grocery store (Safeway). Terrible ATT coverage at my business in Pittsburg-Antioch. Just switched to Verizon and EVERYTHING is better. Victor at the Verizon store took great care of us, made sure we received all available benefits, and actually reduced our wireless bill while getting better service. Unbelievable. Also my daughter urgently needed her new phone while in SoCal and Victor helped coordinate with the store down there. Excellent 5-star service all around from Verizon so far. Great coverage in all the key places we need it. Should have changed over years ago. read more

Walked in here after reading about all the great reviews. Sadly, my experience was a little different. Came in here to have a screen protector applied to my phone since these guys are the experts. I had an employee walk over and he immediately had a dismissive attitude. The guy grabbed the box, lazily cleaned my phone, slapped the protector on, and sent me on my way. I looked over at my phone and was horrified. It was riddled with debris and dust. I walked back in the store to explain my situation and then he proceeded to tell me that what he did was a "complimentary service." I'm not sure what his understanding of service is, but he definitely specialized in wasting my time. Look, I understand the procedures, but if you're not up to the job, then don't do the task. No solution was offered except for, "you have to go through Zagg". I am a loyal Verizon customer. I purchased all of my screen protectors from Verizon, yet this guy absolutely didn't care about customer service. I left the store feeling incredibly disappointed, but I decided to drive to a different Verizon. I was skeptical about that employee's opinions. At the second location I signed into my account and explained my situation. the employees were in disbelief. Without a second question, they decided to go out of their way to help me. I can't express enough how phenomenal the other Verizon location was. As for this location, I think certain employees need a re-evaluation and possibly some more coaching with customer service. I went to this store to buy a home wall charger, they said to wait 20 min to buy. Once i was seen i Bought the charger.. I asked for paper receipt and was told cant get paper receipt , i told him its for taxes since im a business owner. Person helping me saiid okay hold on be right back an additional 15 additional minutes later I got my receipt. Whoever decides to go get help at this store beware long wait for help. Don't go here if you are in a rush or buying any accessories it may take you 20 min to buy a car charger or home charger. I'll start by saying we have been loyal long term Verizon customers. 99% of our interactions with Verizon employees had been positive. Until COVID gave you the opportunity to provide misleading/incorrect information bordering on lies. Here is our unfortunate experience in a nutshell. My wife and I recently upgraded our phones. We made two appointments of one hour each at the Dublin location. I had conversations on three separate occasions with Verizon customer service to be sure the store employee would be able to address our needs. All three times we were assured the employee would able to assist us with our needs, which were in the realm of service we had been provided in previous visits during times of upgrades. There was no misunderstanding as I detailed, item by item what we had hoped to get done during our appointment. Customer service further stated that there would only be two employees in the store and we would be assigned one of them for the two hour long appointments which would give us more than sufficient time to address our needs. Social distancing would be practiced, masks must be worn, and the second employee would be dealing with their customer on the other side of the store. Upon arrival at the store, it was as if I had arrived at the location of a different company. There was two employees out front screening and we were told that only one of us (between my wife and me) was allowed in the store at a time. I went in first to address my phone business and my wife would go in for the second appointment. Within the first few minutes I was told they could not do what had been promised by customer service would be done, primarily transferring information from the old phone to the new phone. What??!! Again, this was a service that had always been available and readily provided but for some reason was not now, apparently due to COVID?? One of the excuses the in-store employee told me was they no longer have the technology in the store to do so. Come on, you can't do any better than that? This employee eventually told me it could be done but they were being told to not do this anymore. Why??? The reason I have paid about 10-20% more for the last 10+ years was because you guys provided SERVICE. After about 10 minutes I was done, my wife didn't even bother going in as we were told they couldn't do anything for her other than to activate her new phone, so that meant because of misleading misinformation we wasted our time. Not really sure how productive doing business this way is, something I eventually pay for. BTW, there was a total of six employees at the store, most of them were busy with their own personal devices as only two customers were allowed in the store at any given time. At one point an office door opened and I noticed three of the six employees maskless and standing next to one another. So much for the practice of being safe. I could go on, but the bottom line is we no longer feel like we are getting the best service from a phone service point of view. It was eye opening and very disappointing. Lastly, please do not reply with one of those phony "we are so sorry that blah, blah, blah" canned replies. After being told in no uncertain terms three times by customer service what we will be able to do, then arriving at the store and essentially being laughed at, I will remind you the lack of loyalty is a two way street. read more

The year rolled over and we switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. We tried to purchase new iphone12 (X2) and carry 1 phone line over, but because of covid we were not able to conduct the transaction online and we were told we need to go into the store. We made the purchase and the sales person asked if we want insurance on them and we specifically said NO- since we feel its just a rip off. Regardless we had to make 1st pmt in store for $175 and then a months later we got a bill for almost $600. It seems that they DID charge us for insurance and we had a HARD time getting the person online to cancel it once we called and complained. They also charged us for 3 extra lines/phone numbers. (That they fixed). Then they told us the store charge of $175 was not for phone or future service but the price of walking into the store. WHAT???? Are you kidding me. You can't make purchase of phones online and you tell us to go to the store to pick up phone and then charge us $175 for walk in. Beware!!!!! I hate Verizon at this point. I remember we switched to T-Mobile because of all the head in charges. They are one big scam. T-Mobile was great but will never go back because when we wanted to leave, we needed to call to cancel and the second they found out we want to cancel they kept hanging up. It was happening every time after being on hold for 45min +. So upset with T-Mobile for how they treat their customers at EXIT. read more

I don't think there are many cell phone stores that have 4.5-5 stars on yelp. For example, check out any Sprint listing. So when I decided to switch to Verizon and looked up this store location, I was shocked to see that it had such high ratings. I thought it was too good to be true. I called and spoke to a rep named Cristian. He was very friendly, very accommodating, and clear. He gave me his cell phone number and said if I had any questions to call him or text him personally. Wow, nice touch. After thinking about what phones/lines we wanted (family plan), I text Cristian and let him know we were coming in. He saw my family right away and made the process as smooth as ever. He kept explaining what step he was on while he was working through all the logistics so we were in the loop. He also made sure we were getting the best deal and credit for all our used phones as possible. Highly recommend Cristian in particular. But overall, very impressed with Verizon in-store customer service so far. read more

I noticed that none of the reviews were from the last 3 months. Don't go there now. They are using restrictions as an excuse to do as little as possible. Woman met us outside and, before even asking what we wanted, she informed us that she couldn't help 2 people & marched back inside. I looked & could not find such health restrictions. I went and by Apple iPhone 11 when I got the iPhone I came and asked this oriental gentleman for help how to turn on this iPhone , he says they are not doing these things in the store , I have to go online and do it online . I talk to some other pesos nobody wanted to help. They are rude ,mean and unfriendly. don't recommend anyone to go to this store except if they have to pee. I called a friend of mine he said it's very simple just turn your phone on and the new phone on and I took a picture of something came on my old phone and it did it by itself .
