Do not go to this store, they tried to rip me off for $510.00. When I brought the overcharge to their attention I was laughed at, insulted and thrown out of the store. This store is being run by thieves and con artists. I called Verizon, they listened to me then called Luis at the store and listened to him, the lady at Verizon, with Luis still on the line said that Luis had obviously lied and issued me a full refund. Verizon apologized that I had to go through such a bad experience at this store and told me I should never go back there again. I next called Victra customer service they also apologized and said they would have a manager look into it. They said a regional manager would be contacting me to let me know the out come. I have been waiting now for over three weeks and no one from Victra has contacted me. I can only conclude at this point that Victra doesn't care about how badly their customers are cheated, lied to, scammed and insulted. Very rude! I understand for security they have the door always locked to get in, but a simple acknowledgment would be appreciated. The employee continued talking to a guest inside, making sure she didn't make eye contact with us while we waited outside. Wasn't sure if we should go away or wait to be let in. Even if she would have made eye contact and hand gestured "one minute" would have been appreciated. We left to go to the one at Grossmont to buy our two phones. We are some what of a small community where this store is located, word will get around sooner than later if this is how the store runs. Feel bad for the owner. read more

After several weeks of visits and negotiation with the management of this store we ended up with (drum roll please) - NOTHING for our trouble. And it was even worse than we initially thought. After reviewing the bill, we realized the two screen covers our sales "slickmeister" Eric threw in the bag as we were walking out the door with a "hey I threw in a couple of screen covers too!" actually cost us $54 each! All we got out of the deal (besides an apology) was permission to return the items that were supposed to be free --- at no charge to us. Wow. Should have read reviews prior to visiting. This place is terrible. They lied to me and I ended up with a $200 charge on my next bill that was not disclosed.They are not an actual Verizon store, just a retailer that sells Verizon products, so when i called Verizon to get this fixed it turned into a finger pointing game between the store and Verizon. Spent hours on the phone to get this resolved, turns out they never sent in my old phone. When I called to speak to the manager, several days in a row they told me that he was not in and he would be in tomorrow. Call the next day, and same thing. Happened several days in a row. I have been to the Verizon Victra store on Pacific Coast Highway in Torrance, CA. In addition, I have over several years, purchased two cell phones there. First of all, they do not have a large selection to choose from like other Verizon stores not related to Victra. Victra seems to carry the most expensive phones in this location. About four years ago when I initially went to this store, the employees were very helpful toward me. But that has now changed. When I have been to this store about 4 months ago, the employees seem lazy and unhelpful, they do not explain the contracts very well and the manager argued with me about copies of the contract that I did not receive. There are many other Verizon stores in Torrance where you receive better service. I would not recommend this Victra store to anyone that I know and frankly, I will not be returning there either. read more

Visited this store on Sunday morning. They open at 11:00 and we arrived about 10:50. When we walked up to the door we were met by one of the employees and he stated they were doing inventory and wouldn't be open until 11:30. I guess inventory couldn't have started a little earlier to insure they opened on time. We drove over to the Verizon store on Jamacha and Granite hills. Marco sold us two very nice iPhone 11's. Employees are there to "Hang Out." The second I walked in it felt like it was just thrown together. Not sure if someone's lunch included onions or there was a hygiene issue. During my visit they were playing snoop dog with inappropriate lyrics for my daughter to hear. They "Store Manager" or so he called himself that asked for it to me shut off along with 2 other employees but yet not 1 person shut it off instead they all laughed and moved on to the next song. It took 3 people to process my transaction, they definitely could use some training not sure if it would help though. My husband decided it was time to upgrade from a flip phone to a smart phone. Eric approached us as we entered the store and asked us some questions and made a recommendation that my husband agreed to. Since my husband is technology challenged,, Eric was patient, attentive, friendly snd very thorough in responding to my husband's numerous questions. His customer service wss excellent, which made the whole transition and sale much smoother and easier. This was my third experience with this Verizon store location and I've left there a very satisfied customer each time. I wish they had no stars available because this place ripped me off! I went in to get a watch added to my plan to share a line,they said no problem its $5 a month with no contract. So I hooked up the watch. Well 4 months later I get a new watch and go to cancel the old watch and I have to pay an early termination fee because they put me under contract!! Most horrid experience ever. Do not waste your time or money here. I have spent 7 visits and 10 hours of time at this store with no solution still. I was told the iPhone I was getting was new & after 1 day it broke. I was sent by their employee to the Apple store to get a new one bcuz they had no more, and the apple store tech said that the iPhone was refurbished using sub par pieces. Returned to this store the following day & was told I couldn't return the phone (despite their 14 day return policy) unless I paid a $35 restocking fee.(Which their contract also states that no restocking fee for faulty phones) I was also told that without the district managers return code, there was nothing he could do. Of course the manager was Unreachable. Soooo I returned yet again yesterday to be told that the restocking fee was now $100, and the district manager was still unavailable. I had also been billed for the first month and the $10/month plan I was supposed to be on, was actually going to be a $40/month plan. So the lies kept coming. So I will be going back again today to try to get the phone returned & the line cancelled. Do not spend your money at this place. It's a third party to Verizon & they are dishonest & rude. At this point, I'm willing to pay the restocking fee just to not have to deal with these people. Pretty sad to be out $100 with no phone due to a piece of junk used phone that was falsely sold to me. You screwed up a plan he was grandfathered into and took that off his account, told us our tablet would be free with no absolutely no cost..I'm sorry, but $10 a month with a 2 year contract showed up on our bill..that doesn't sound like it's free. Took off my phone insurance that I've been paying for since I can remember...This store is awful! A review written 1/2/2012 does not reflect what is happening at the store currently. I filed a complaint with the BBB after a bait and switch that occurred on 08/25/2014. I was encouraged to upgrade and I chose an IPhone5s new, a new basic phone for the husband, and was offered a new IPad mini for $50 tax. The total tax was $96. When I got home, the phones and IPad were in boxes marked refurbished and used. I called the store and was told the boxes were old but the items were new. I called Verizon and was told I was lied to because the numbers had already registered with Verizon and the operator could tell the items were not new. I was encouraged to go back to the store immediately and return everything. I did and then filed a complaint. The company new wants me to prove that I was asked to pay tax on new items. I was charged tax on an IPhone5 with a list price of $600. I was charged tax on an IPad mini white 16GB with a list price of $400. Since neither of these items are new, in factory sealed boxes, that is an overstatement of the retail or list cost. The basic Samsung u365 Gusto2 had a list price of $200. Further, I didn't ask for an IPhone 5 but an IPhone 5s new. That is what I was told I was receiving. That is not what was in the bag. When I returned everything back to the store within an hour, the clerk still insisted that all the items were new and he kept saying "the phones are new, the phones are new." If anyone should want to shop here, make sure your purchase is in a factory sealed box and not marked refurbished or used unless that is what you want. But, if that is what you really want, go to a real Verizon store and pay half the cost of shopping at Verizon 4G Wireless, Inc. or shop online at the authentic Verizon web site. Just remember to read 2014 reviews and not a 5 star 2012 review. Times have changed. Call Verizon if you need verification as to whether an item is new or used or refurbished. You will save $$$$$$. Doesn't even deserve 1 Star!! This was the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Mike, the manager was very rude. My husband asked about "unlimited data" and he said "there's no such thing anywhere anymore" when my husband explained we were just at Sprint and they offered it he scoffed, got a bad attitude and started walking away, the associate behind the counter started yelling at us too.. We actually got into a argument with them. When we started walking out they cussed at us. Due to this experience we will never be a Verizon customer... Let me start with the door is not there to let you in but keep people away from what dastardly tricks are about to be played. Went to go trade in and upgrade and had the displeasure of meeting an employee who quickly established himself as the quintessential definition of sassy emphasis on a$$. After much confusion and watching him struggle as if even the computer didn't like his presence we were told that the verbal agreement we had come to was good to go that he was going to do better then corporate Verizon was offering online we gave our phones to him. Turns out he didn't do what he said he would our bill which should have been no more than 185 was now 230. We declined to complete he transaction but little did we know the damage was done. Plan was changed phones disconnected multiple transactions pending on our account. To top it off the employee who didn't like my wife "forgot" to reestablish my wife's phone so hers cold work. Manager was of minimal help until the end when forced to fix the problem. His idea was for me to deal with customer service instead of doing to honorable thing and handling itself since he as a manager allows his employ to walk on some make believe ocean. Was told by manager that he couldn't fix it yet magically after 20 mins of waiting for a Verizon rep to answer the phone he fixed the problem. Isn't crazy how that works out. Also manager side stepped his employee's action which if they were not malicious (which they were) then how is to be explained that even though the employee we dealt with was with a customer at the time that I returned to the store went into the back and did not return to assist the numerous customers that were waiting. End note save yourself the trouble unless you are coming to pay your bill drive the 5 or 10 miles to Grossmont or Santee and deal with actual Verizon reps not some independent joint that makes promises that they can't keep. I Went in for two chargers and was talked I to "upgrading" my tablets for the same price as two chargers (which actually came out to much more). The guy lied to me completely telling me a certain app would work and it didn't. Told me my bill would remain the same and then got a bill for over 100.00 more the first month then 20.00 more the next months. Enrolled me in a insurance program without my consent or even telling me about it. Then when I realized my bill would be much larger and the app he swore would work didn't, I went back the next day to return and he tried to charge me for a restocking fee and refused to waive it even though he lied and cheated me. WARNING! Employee in this store mis-led me & lied to me. I switched from sprint to verizon (after 15 years, loved sprint but liked the idea of 4G) the employee, Michael, told me of a promotion they were having for a "free" jet pack. I questioned this, nothing is ever free, and he said, no it's free, it's a promotion. When I received my bill I noticed an additional $20 monthly fee,apparently that's for my "FREE" jet pack. Then come to find out, not only am I being charged a monthly fee, this is a whole new line that I am responsible for for 2years. When I went into the store, the manager informed me that they "never inform people of this". I'm not sure how this store stays in business, but hopefully they won't be for long. The manager proceeded to tell me to leave the store (not once did I raise my voice or become belligerent). I have walked in to this store once for help using my Samsung Galaxy and the service was patient and most helpful. Tonight I got home and couldn't answer calls due to a recent update. Avoid at all costs! This store has the worst customer service. Not only are they rude and unhelpful (both staff and managers; I've dealt with several managers) but it's the kind of place where you have to be there in person to get anything done. I have tried calling for weeks now to speak with the "new" manager and I cannot get through to him, the staff always claims they are too busy and I get the same story EVERYTIME..."let me have him call you back", and like clock work, I NEVER get a call back. I've been in the store and have been told this to my face as well as over the phone. I bought a phone back in FEBRUARY, and was supposed to get a 100 refund, I STILL have not received it and keep getting the run around! I cannot express enough negativity about this store, I am beyond frustrated. The original "manager" I went through when buying the phone was Mike and he was the one who claimed he would send the refund in and make it easier on us, well it has been a nightmare since. The guy was totally rude to my wife and I and continually made empty promises. I have been told he is no longer with the store and the new manager has been mopping up his messes but he has yet to address mine.
