Like most people... I dread having to go into the phone store. I've been a Verizon customer for 5+ years now- and never had any stand out moments. Pretty standard, easy going account. My iPhone 4 finally gave out after 4 years so I had to get one I had bought online activated. I put it off for weeks thinking I'd have to listen to some gimmick on upgrading and what not. I only had to wait 10 mins despite being so close to closing time (yes I was that a**hole- I thought the later I went the more likely I'd be able to avoid any pressure to upgrade). The person who helped me was the manager Charles- he was awesome. Very knowledgable & extremely helpful and efficient!! He cut my bill in half (no joke- from $110 to $60/month) without losing any features- in fact went from 450mins/month to unlimited! He also helped me set up myverizon (how did I go 5 years without this awesome app!?) and gave me some insider info on the new iPhone coming out in September and how it will change my plan if I were to upgrade. I was blown away, and actually look forward to any future visits! read more

I reported what this store did to me to the BBB. Next I was contacted by Verizon Wireless Executive Relations. They apologized and gave us credits on our account for all of the charges in question. This included something I didn't mention in my first review, the 2 Hums they sold me for $30 each, and the $230 they charged me for "early termination" when I returned them. It turned out that the bluetooth handsfree units for the cars were also on a 2-year agreement. Also they did not work well and had bad voice quality. We very much appreciate Verizon Wireless Executive Relations giving us the refunds. We are still fans of Verizon Wireless as a company, but we will not go to this store in Tanasbourne again. read more

The Tanasbourne store on Evergreen is a third party sham store and not a Verizon corporate store. They add coverages without authorization and when ask to remove them they respond in the affirmative but actually leave it on to get commissions. They are not only sleazy but incompetent - providing misinformation and not follow through on required practices. They don't seem to be held accountable since they are not Verizon employees. This is hands down the worst Verizon store I've ever been too. Had a completely horrid experience where they skipped me and made me wait 2 hours. When I tried to talk to them about being skipped, they were extremely rude and blamed me for not signing in even though I had signed in with the exact lady that told me this! I called Verizon and told them the story, but they also did NOTHING. Both don't care about customer service, only money. I will be canceling my contract in about a month and with likely switch over to AT&T or sprint, not too sure which one at the moment. read more

This is the worst store ever... I have been trying to get out of a contract with this store since June 2014 without any luck. This is not even a Verizon Corporation, it is privately owned. They are lower then car sales men. I was told my cellular bill would be the same after I switched to another plan, that was a mistake. It has increased by fifty dollars ($50)!! The sales rep was also trying to push a tablet on my account saying it was free, but I would have to pay $10 dollars monthly, I replied how's that free then he stopped asking. I have spoken too Verizon online more than once and the customer service representative notes the store would have to agree to switch my plan or I would have to wait until my contract expired. The customer service representative even told me their were typed messages from the employee stating all I would have to do was come in and everything would be switched. I have done so on many occasions (three times) without any explanation, only theirs nothing we can do?? The management even hides having their employees say they are out to lunch or are too busy. Do not go to this store or you will regret it!!! There are two other stores that are Corporate Cedar Hills Verizon and Washington Square. They won't let you cancel your service. After finishing a 2 year contract Verizon won't let my elderly mother cancel. Called the customer service # they said go to the store you bought from. We go to the store and they say we have to go an hour away to cancel at the office. We drive there and they say you have to call customer service. Walmart has the same phone for 50$ rather than 22$ a month lease, Walmart service is 20 a month rather than the 50$ a month Verizon charges. Not letting you cancel a service should be illegal. read more

Long lines and people who can't help are just the start. My wife and I upgraded phones which was not too bad. We had to wait a little over 15 minutes for help. We got our new phones and all of these cool accessories which we were told were included. My wife and I both asked because they were giving us so much. When I got my bill I found out all the cool stuff was included for 300 dollars. I called verizon and they told me to go to the store. After a 45 minute wait at the store a person started to help us. He looked over the bill and figured out why we were there. He said he would print out the bill so we could review it. He disappeared for 5 minutes. When he returned he said we needed to talk to our salesperson. She was working but was on break. She was on break the whole time we were at the store. We had to leave to to meet our family for dinner. I am now waiting for a call back from our salesperson but I am not holding out much hope. Update: I never got the call. I call the store the next day and talked to an assistant manager who could not help me either. He said I needed to talk to the sales person. He promised he would have her call me the next day. No call again so I went to the store. The assistant manager who I talked to was not there and the sales person was not scheduled to work today so I had to have someone else help. He looked at my bill and explained to me that I was lucky to get these 2 phone for the 315 dollars. You can't walk out the door with one for 290 dollars. Basically I was ripped off and told I should feel lucky. Avoid at all costs unless you make them go over every charge and tell you the real cost not that it is included in the bundle. Even then I would go to Costco or Car Toys. THIS STORE STINKS!!!! read more

If you're thinking about switching from Sprint to Verizon, DONT. We switched because we wanted to put my elderly father on our plan to cut an expense from his budget and Verizon works great in Hilo, Hawaii but TERRIBLE here. I can't access my Ring cameras at all unless I'm connected to WiFi on my phone because the signal is so poor (and we live 5 mins away from this store... it's not like we live and work in the boonies). It takes 8 minutes from when I get in my car and start driving before Pandora plays anything through my phone to my car speakers via Bluetooth, if it connects at all (besides getting all the connection errors and restarts I have to do). I'm REALLY pissed about my $600 worth of cameras that are unusable because of Verizon's terrible internet coverage. I called customer service and I only got told I could pay more for faster internet. Im so disappointed with my experience with Verizon. And because my dad lives in a different state and doesn't understand technology that much and lives half way across the Pacific Ocean from me, it's going to be an even bigger hassle to get away from Verizon once we're done paying off our phones. The sales guy was nice but I wish the cell phone industry had a better policy when their service/coverage doesn't suit the customers needs. read more

I read the reviews on this location prior to going into today. When I arrived this morning I was greeted by manager Claire. She is wonderful! Gave me the information I needed (to bring in my old old iphone to get the 'deal' going on). I came back in with my daughter 20 minutes later and she had someone helping me within 5 minutes. Bryan was fabulous! I added a new line to my service with an iphone 6s and he did an amazing job setting it up for me. I just needed to go home and connect my new iphone to my itunes and restore from the backup I had completed that morning. Well, when I got home I was having all sorts of issues and try as I might for an hour it would not sync. I called and Claire answered and told me they were a little busy but to bring everything down and they have techs that will get it all set up for. I made an appointment for an hour later. I came into the store, knowing I would have to wait aprox 25 minutes until my appointment time. Claire was out to lunch, so another manager greeted me at the door, Sarafin (a male). What. A. Dick. I advised I had an appointment and why and basically he wrote me off stating I should to apple, not Verizon. His voice, mannerism and tone was extremely condescending and down right rude. He advised it would be 20 minutes. Well, 20 minutes later...nothing. But that is ok because it still was not technically my appointment time. Bryan saw me and said he would help me once he was done with his current customer he was helping. I was waiting a total of 55 minutes, 35 minutes past the 20 minutes that Sarafin gave me. As Bryan was helping me sort it out (turns out the new phone I had gotten today didn't have the update on it so it wouldn't sync) the 'manager' interrupted our transaction to tell him he needs to help other customers while he was helping me. Rude. Beyond rude. While the phone was attempting to by restored Bryan ran in the back to grab something to eat (not a big deal) that jerk went back and got him and immediately introduced him to another customer waiting so he couldn't come back and finish helping me! As a educated woman in the professional world I have to question who ever is in charge of choosing managers that treat customers like this. I have been with Verizon since it was Airtouch....a long time. Sarafin was LUCKY he was busy when I grabbed my stuff and was leaving because him and I were going to have words. What a horrible experience he made this for me and daughter and what utter despicable customer service this young 'man' is capable of. Apparently, this is his norm however .... He obviously forgets the 'customer' in customer service. So, if you are going to this location deal with Claire and steer clear of the that atrocious person that Verizon location has made a 'manager' as I think it went to his overly greased head. Horrible location. The service here is non existent. They sold me a "lifetime" screen protector and said that if anything happened to it that we could just bring it back into the store and they would replace it. About a year later we go back in to get a new one put on and guess what??? The rep asked me if I registered it online? Registering the screen protector online was NEVER mentioned during the sales process. I spent $40 for a screen protector that probably cost them a couple of bucks. I asked to speak to the manager and he basically told me that I was lying and that he knows for sure that all of his employees properly inform all customers about the registration process. I asked them if they were willing to lose a 12 year customer over this screen protector and was told that they don't need customers like me. Avoid Verizon...but especially this store! My wife had insurance on her phone. It was accidentally dropped in water. She went in to get a replacement. The sales person, Pedro, made no effort to use her insurance. Instead, without her knowing it. He sold her a new, over $500 phone. She didn't realize it for a couple of months. We found out that after this deception, that it was too late to rectify the situation. They were unsympathetic and did not care at all. After talking to customer service, they said this happens all the time at the stores and they get away with it all the time. PLEASE, make sure you insist they use the insurance if you have it. Ask point blank "Are you using my insurance for my replacement phone?" And really, avoid the thieves at Verizon! read more

Verizon has figured out a new way to pull a couple of hundred bucks out of their customers' pockets -- extenders! Had reasonable service in northern Washington County until the last six months when service fell off regularly from about 5 a.m. to 10 a.m and intermittently throughout the day. Verizon said it was because there was more traffic on the cells located about 4.5 miles to the northeast and to the southwest. But, Verizon rep's told me, they could help me get better service in my house if I purchased an "extender" for $250. When I suggested that I signed a contract based upon the service they provided at the time of the contract and that it was their responsibility to improve service to previous levels, the rep grew indignant and said they had no such responsibility but that he would reduce the price to $175. I sent my boyfriend to this store to pay my bill like I've always done and the worthless employee wouldn't let him pay because he was using my card. They have never given him trouble before and have never "checked ID" to make payment your employees suck as does you company. I will be taking my phone service elsewhere where. read more

Went to purchase a Gizmo Gadget and wound up purchasing a Gizmo Pal instead since the Gadget was not in stock. I didn't realize at the time of purchase that the two items are vastly different and the salesman did not attempt to explain either. When I tried to return the Pal that same day I was handled by another representative in the store who told me essentially there is no refund for it. They accept returns and refund the money and at the same time charge you a restocking fee that is greater than the purchase price. The rep said this to me with a straight face too, apparently not realizing what it meant. As a long time Verizon wireless customer I was able to get some satisfaction with their online rep to waive the restocking fee, something the store manager was either unable to do, or did not care. The manager was also unable to cancel the phone line that comes with the Pal. Not sure exactly what the store manager's role is here. His staff is not servicing the customer's needs. 1) The sales rep should have not activated the Pal in case it needed to be returned. It was a birthday present and he did not inquire at all about this. Activation should only come at the customer's express consent. 2) Verizon's problem of not selling previously activated wireless products should not become the customer's problem. Verizon needs to fix this internally. read more

In our 4 trips to complete one transaction we experienced deceitful practices. I handed an employee my card to pay for a product outright. Employee charged the account, then applied a credit toward the bill. Which means that I am now paying for the unit monthly with interest. This was done absolutely intentionally. Refusal to help with common problems. Also in our interactions employee lied to us more than once. Do not trust the employees at this location. read more

Horrible customer service Did I say it was horrible it was the worst one could ever experience. My wife and I drove 45 minutes because my phone had crashed and I rely on my phone for business for this we went there to get it fix or something or get a new one. We go to speak to a guy named Eric and Eric talks really fast you know that sales type voice well I just wanted this phone fixed he looked at it and said that there was no way to replace the battery and that it looks like it is just went bad so he said he could add the insurance and then he can replace it for the cost of the insurance witch is a $11.00 a month well that's all cool so we did that and then he proceeded to try and talk us into a tablet and I ask if it had phone capability he said that one does not so I hound one that did and my wife was thinking about getting me one for my birthday I really did not want one but I thought if it will get me my phone until my other on gets here and I would just give it to my wife after that, that would be cool and he said yes. Well he was getting everything already and we were looking for a case for it and at the 11 hour he came to us and said that I will have to have the new phone before the tablet will work as a phone because it feeds off of the phone so we thought ok well we had been there for a while and just figured what the hell we will get it any way means how he has got us jazzed about it. We got to talking and just could not justify the extra cost and that's not what we came here for so we had not even touch the tablet yet I mean we never even put our finger on the box or the product. We told them we changed our mind and that we do not want the product well they made us stand there for about another 20 - 30 minutes tell Eric can find a minute to help us. He came back to us and said that we will be charged a restocking fee of 35.00 we you can imagine how well that went so I told him that I'm not paying them something that I did not even touch so ended up in a heated discussion and they refused to return all my money so I got on the phone to Verizon and they were appalled that this store acted like this and they noted a complaint against the stare and they told my to go back in there and talk to a manager he said he will refund the money and if they do not to call back well they did not refund the money the manager spoke to Eric and then brought Eric back up to us so we can all tell our side of the story I was not sure what it was all about but they both held strong and refuse to refund my full amount. I called Verizon back right there I had to explain it to them as to what is going on and they got on it and refunded my money. Thank you Verizon. As for the store there is no way I would go back little lone recommend anybody to this store they are only about screwing the customer. I have owned business for 30 years and I would fire both the manager and the sales and the only reason I am not telling the name of the manager is because when he came over to us he did not even introduce him self, When I receive the name of the manager I will post it.
