I went to this store to take care of a problem with my cell phone billing. Edgar was the tech assigned to help me. After helping me with my billing situation, Edgar explained to me that Verizon offers a good WiFi plan which would cost me less than the plan I had with Cox. He clearly explained how switching my internet/WiFi plan to Verizon would result in big savings for me. I bought the Verizon plan, went home and installed the WiFi box he gave me. Edgar was available at all times to help me with the connection, etc. even after his work hours. After installing the Verizon Wifi I noticed that my streaming channels were not working. I called Cox tech support to ask about it and was told by a very rude tech person that the only way to get Netflix and Amazon Prime back on was to pay Cox $40/month to have them connected. I called Edgar and he told me that that was not true and that I could connect the WiFi box directly to my smart TV with the cable included in the box he gave me, and voilà!! -- it worked and I didn't have to pay a cent. Not only did Edgar explain to me how WiFi, Internet and streaming work but he walked me through the whole process of connecting the box and getting my streaming channels back on, very patiently over the phone. Edgar is a very smart, knowledgeable, polite and patient young man, and I recommend asking for his advice when you visit or call the store. I wish him a very successful career with Verizon. Just switched to Verizon and their magical trash called 5G ! They've spent millions to market this dismal failure of a network. I made an appointment just after buying the new S20 hoping they could resuscitate my old phone and transfer data to the new phone. Not only do they not do repairs, they post little to no info at all on their website regarding each locations services. Stood outside for a few minutes only to be dismissed by a polite but completely unhelpful Verizon lady minon. Bottom line, this location is completely useless, unless you're there to buy something...as is the case with almost ALL Android based cell companies. As a side note, just moments before my pitiful encounter, I witnessed a sad sight while in line outside. An elderly couple were told they could not come in together, due to Covid restrictions...and this place is large enough to handle two 100 lbs., eighty-something year old love birds. I could see inside that it would not have caused any issues at all. As J. Biden would say..."come on, MAN !" Bottom line...Verizon is garbage and this location solidifies their piss poor business model. Do us all a favor...bulldoze the shop and make more parking in that Aliso shopping center. My mother informed me that David G literally pulled $10 out of his pocket and told her to get the band on Amazon and that was the best they could do. This is her first watch and i do not have one either - we also learned that the s/m bands only work on that watch face so if she bought what she needed (which she shouldn't have to do in the first place) she would've bought an accessory that didn't fit. With Verizon for 30 years and they changed their billing system and did not receive my bank direct payments in their new system, though my bank showed the payments were made/received. After a day on the phone with Verizon they said the system should be operative and functional yet I still receive notifications they were gonna shut down my phone and they did shut my phone. I spent an entire day getting it operative. This happened three months in a row and I don't know that it won't happen again. They also keep raising my rates each time I spoke to them. I transitioned over from T-Mobile to Verizon on Friday and had nothing but problems since, literally one thing after another I have been unable to utilize my phone all weekend dropping calls unable to make calls unable to receive calls unable to send to messages unable to receive messages this company has impeded on my workdays with no solution and no concerns for customers or their time. Just trying to get one of their representatives on the phone is like pulling teeth, these people literally have the audacity to send me a bill for $180 when I haven't been able to utilize my service consistently for one day upon transitioning over. This past October, I had to buy two new iPhone 14 purple for my daughter from the store (from Costco would have taken three weeks to get that color) early birthday gift. One of my daughters was having major surgery. I paid for the phone with my credit card. In my December bill, Verizon added $1200 to my account! It took me two months and going to the store three times and being on the phone with Verizon for more than 6 hours. They also disconnect my service for a day, and I have six lines on my account. I went to Verizon on a Saturday after having a mishap while on vacation in Joshua Tree which caused me to lose my phone, buying a new one, and then finding the old one. Only my luck, honestly. I really did not know what to expect but knew I could at least trade it in for something. I was helped by Jason who I believe is the manager of this store. He was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and I truly felt he was being honest in everything regarding deals etc. I left feeling happier after what was a frustrating event overall. Two weeks ago I visited the Verizon store located on Alicia Parkway in Laguna Niguel California to buy a new iPhone. They did not have the phone in stock so they ordered it to be delivered to my home. The Verizon salesperson told me to simply bring my new iPhone to the Verizon store to activate it. The new iPhone was delivered to my home. Yesterday I visited the same Verizon store on Alicia Parkway at 5pm and was told by the salesperson that they close at 6 pm and I would need to come back another day because there was not enough time to activate my new phone. Today I arrived at the same Verizon store and the salesperson told me that they DO NOT help customers activate their new phones. It discuses me that 2 out of 3 Verizon salespersons DO NO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I have decided to return the new phone to Verizon and buy another one elsewhere. My Wife went into this store... The Manager (Jason) is WORTHLESS. He talks to Adults as if they're his children, Very rude and Disrespectful. Purposedly helping other customers who arrived after me. He sent the rep (Juan) who originally was helping me to the back for 30min, to act as if he was inquiring about getting answers to my questions, yet (Juan) returns with no answers. Let me start by saying this was not my first visit to this store. I purchased a phone and accessories at this location and signed up for the 5G internet. My first contact with the store was not negative but it took a very long time to get a phone and internet service, longer than expected for sure. After a very negative experience at a different store, I stopped at this location to see if i could get some help with a stolen phone. I got to the door at approx. 5 minutes after the store close. My expectation was not to be let in but may be someone could point me in the right direction. An employee came to the door to tell me that the store was closed, but begrudgingly gave me a few minutes of her time which I truly appreciated. I had a few other issues I need ed to resolve but I understood I needed to replace my phone first. Today (08/12/2023) I received the replacement phone and returned to the store to get some help. My husband arrived at the store before me and checked in. I joined him a few minutes later. We did not have to wait too long before we were assigned to Joey. He was nice and courteous and got to work on activating the phone right away. It was close to closing time, so I did not want to interrupt his work. However, I did mention we needed help with returning the 5G modem and with access to my account. Joey was about finished with the phone when Valeria came and asked him to go help a different customer. Joey was able to communicate to Valeria that we needed additional help before walking away. Then she walked away leaving us wandering what just happened. Eventually she did return with the phone cases my husband asked for, the return label and a box. However, every single time her demeanor was downright rude. She was short and, in a hurry, to get rid of us. I was so upset about the attitude, the lack of interest and care demonstrated by whom I assumed is the store manager that I stood up and left leaving my husband at the store to finish our business. All around Verizon employees have provided me with the worst customer service experience I ever had in my life. I came to get help twice and Art helped me not our usual guy Edgar and it was a terrible experience. I needed to turn the phones in that we were trading in and they couldn't access my account and I felt like both times he just easily gave up in me. He just told me he couldn't help me and told me to call Verizon and they'll send me a shipping label to send it out myself but I felt like that was a huge inconvenience and it takes time to ship things out I was worried I was going to miss the deadline. The second time I came in I was super embarrassed. I felt like he rolled his eyes at me when I came in. We recently joined Verizon about less than a month ago and it was a great experience with Edgar he was super helpful and he took his time with us I felt like that was one of the best customer service representatives I've ever encountered. He was patient and kind with me and my family. My mom had a lot of concerns and he took care of her needs with great care. I went down to the store with no appointment with intention of switching carriers. When I walked up and just took my place in line, a young man noticed a new face in line and approached to find out what my needs were. I told him that I was there to ask questions. He asked if I could wait just a bit and he would find someone to help me between customers. After about 15 minutes he came out and walked me in. Even though he knows I wasn't buying anything or making any changes today, he patiently helped me and answered all my questions and educated me on all the steps I needed to follow to complete what I wanted. I have seen his name in other negative reviews. It's hard for me believe it's the same manager. He was awesome and there was no reward for him or the store. When the time comes, I will return to the same store and specifically ask for Jason. I'd tell you to do the same. read more

I visited the Laguna Niguel Verizon store to pay off my new phone and trade-in my old phone. I paid off the new phone I bought two weeks ago and handed the salesperson my old phone. The assistant manager came over and said now that my new phone is paid off I have two options: (1) receive a Verizon grift card for $175 or (2) receive a $200 credit (divided over the next 24 months). I opted for the $200 because obviously it had a higher value. Two days later, I received an email that Verizon credited my account for $135 ...I repeat $135. I called Verizon and so far they gave me a credit of $175 and the representative requested her manager approve the remaining $25 which I need to supposedly wait for? I've been a longtime Verizon customer and this situation does not change my very positive experience, but it does cement the fact that the staff at this Verizon store flat out lied to me. I will never visit this store again. Even though I have a paper receipt from Verizon (below) for the $200 - I now need to "beg" for what the assistant store manager guaranteed me. I guess trusting the assistant manager and being issued a receipt is absolutely meaningless. AVOID this particular store at all cost. I'm sure I'll receive the obligatory "we're sorry" response from the Verizon Customer Service computer bot, but what I would like is: (1) the per month credit promised as shown on my receipt (2) the assistant manager reprimanded, and (3) the assistant manager retrained. However, I doubt if any of those steps are taken. Meanwhile "business" as usual at the Laguna Niguel Store. UPDATE: I was never contacted regarding the remaining $25 that Verizon owed me (that was under review by a manager) so I called back. After explaining the situation again, the Verizon representative provided me with a $25 credit. It's shocking to read thru all these negative reviews and see that Verizon Corporate has clearly done nothing to address them. That's corporate bureaucracy for you. Well I'm here to add on to the list of negative experiences at this store. I'd like to add, before I even begin sharing my experience, that I called the store this morning at 9:05 am (they open at 9 am) and 36 minutes later I am still on hold waiting for someone to answer. There's no feasible way they are that busy at 9 am on a Friday morning. I know because I have worked retail. THESE PEOPLE GIVE ZERO F***S. Probably why they work at the Verizon store in the first place. It seems anyone capable of tucking in a shirt can secure a job here. My mother and I went into the store to switch over from Sprint. We spent over two hours working with a employee who called himself Fred Lobo. We seemingly made it thru the process, my mom received a new iPhone (the model I wanted wasn't available in store, no problem, they said they'd conveniently send the device straight to my address) and we were given shipping boxes to send off our old devices. Next day my mother noticed that the new phone couldn't make or receive any new calls so she shlepped back to the store where a man named "Jason" who I see has been mentioned a few times for his stellar managerial skills in these reviews proceeded to tell her that the entire order hadn't been processed at all. I was shocked. We spent hours in the store and then to learn that nothing had been correctly processed seriously made me question life. How is that possible? Apparently a "computer glitch" was the culprit. Ok, fair enough. The irony of Verizon, being a communications company, having issues with its own software effectively communicating is so poignant it actually hurts a little. My real gripe with this store and it's staff was just beginning. You see Fred Lobo had given me his direct line and told me to reach out with any concerns...so I did. I explained my confusion and asked what had happened. The response I got (hours after my original message) was "what's the account number I'll look it up" ... well that's the problem Fred, the account you "set up" for us wasn't actually set up....I responded and then nothing. Perhaps Fred didn't want to face his own incompetence or perhaps he just didn't care. Either way, and I can't believe I have to say this, nothing is more aggravating then someone ignoring you, especially when it's someone you have given your money to for a service. This is basic business 101 Verizon. Please explain yourself. My mom went back to the store to speak to Jason directly. She spent two more hours there and in that time the account still wasn't set up. She plans to go back tomorrow to finish the set up but at this point I'm asking myself "why"...Why do we settle for this kind of impersonal, shitty (for lack of a better word) customer service. These dudes suck. They don't care about you or your money or your time. I know things happen, computers glitch but even as I write this review, an hour later from when I called, I am still waiting for someone at this crappy store to answer my call. At 10 am on a Friday. I had called the Verizon customer service number in 4 different occasions because my apple phone wasn't responding to several of its functions after doing an IOS update, (emails not sinking, calendar events not saving, call waiting not functioning and the 2 way calling not connecting) with no success! I walked into the Verizon store today and a very nice gentleman by the name of Sean was not only friendly but very proactive and helpful. He took the time to ask me questions as to what the current phone problems I was experiencing and educated me on the replacement phone and its features and why the new phone wouldn't be of much help for my business. Turns to be that all that my phone needed was a reset, new set ups and a sink of all my email accounts and downloads. Is your Apple phone or smart phone giving you problems? This is hilarious- everyone has chimed the same thing I'm about talk about - Jason the store manager is beyond rude. Someone gave this guy what he thinks is power and he tries to use it- clearly no confident whatsoever if you have to bully customers. I don't understand all these negative reviews, unless it's the fact that some people can't wait a few minutes to allow employees deal with complicated telecom billing issues. As soon as I entered the store and said I've had tremendous trouble with Verizon online customer support 3 members of staff immediately jumped on my issues. Juan& his new trainee( whose name I didn't get but was already well versed on the issues) , Fred & Candice (the store manager) immediately took care of all the issues I had and I was out of there within 10 minutes with everything resolved. So I see the ad for the new plan for multi use accounts. I figure it's better to walk into a store than be on hold forever on the phone. Big mistake! As we walk in, the guy takes my name and tells me the wait time is 10 minutes. Then he tells me that my dog is not allowed but since the guy that's allergic to dogs isn't there, he can stay. So...what's the use in telling me that my hypoallergenic dog isn't allowed? Silly! My 10 minutes turned into 40 minutes. Then, finally the person that came to help us, tells me that the new plan isn't in effect till the next day (although the ad said on the day I was there). He then proceeds to take my info and tells me that he will go ahead and put it through on the following day. Few weeks later, while I'm looking at my bank account, I notice a charge of $500+ from Verizon. My typical charge was around $230/mo and with the new plan, I was supposed to pay $190. When I called Verizon, they told me that since the person changing the account didn't post date it, I had to pay for overage charges. Even the person on the phone didn't understand why the person at the store didn't make the necessary changes so I don't end up with this insane bill. Even though Verizon gave me credit for next month for over charging, I don't have any confidence or respect for this store location. When we come in to change plans, it means we want to save $ and not be taken advantage of. I've been to so many other Verizon locations and this by far is the worst! Will NOT be coming back! Seems to me its just another typical Verizon Wireless store... full of employees who try to do the least amount of work to help you. I walked in, and was asked why I was there. I have a Droid Incredible that I have not used in at least 8 months. The phone is a piece of junk and I got tired of fighting with them to fix it, etc. so I went to AT&T and got another phone. I do not want to lose my number with Verizon so I kept the phone, just physically turned it off. Anyway. Last weekend. I go in, I explain what I want to do, and the person at the door taking names told me to just use the self help machine - I didnt need to talk to an agent. Really? So I sat down, and of course right off the bat had questions. He answered a few, then said - ok - I will just have you talk to the next available person. What I wanted to do was take an old Verizon phone (non-smart phone) and downgrade my account. Im currently paying $105-ish a month for a phone I leave turned off. Through the self help console, I was able to downgrade my account and pay $70 a month. Still WAY too much. I would also lose the grandfather plan I currently have for unlimited data... which AFTER the fact I realized who cares, because Im dumping Verizon the day my contract expires. November 26, 2012 to be exact. Once I was able to talk to an employee, he explained to me I could pay $190 to cancel my contract, then $100-$150 to go to prepaid for an entire year. One, I refuse to pay to cancel a contract that I have had nothing but trouble with. Two, I didnt have $300 - $350 extra at the moment to do all of this. The employee was super sarcastic and extremely rude and couldnt believe I didnt have the money on me to be able to do this, and actually laughed at me. I basically told the guy to kiss my ass and I walked out. I am so entirely tired of the way Verizon treats their customers... and FAILS to resolve any problems, ever. Ive had this problem with them for years, and Im over it. I will continue to waste my money for the next 7 months and quit them like a bad habit the day I am able to. He also did not honor the fact that they lied about Asurion. I have been paying insurance on my phone for months for my entire family, based on the premise that the cost to fix was $30.
