My rating depends on the Verizon local store that I have visited. The former store in Laguna Beach (where I live) was bad! I had problems with their service and assistance. However, when I went to the North San Clemente store, they actually knew what to do and seamlessly fixed my problems on my iPhone, so I purchased a new iPhone 16 and used my old iPhone 14 as a back-up. read more

My phone was stolen a few days prior so it was time for me to get a new one. Edgar was the specialist that helped me out that afternoon. I share a plan with my dad and after giving my phone number to access the account, I couldn't. I was alone so Edgar was able to navigate my dad through the website over the phone. After I was able to be an user of the account, it was time to look at phones. I landed on the 14 pro which was running out of stock because the iPhone 15 is being announced next week. The only options were white and purple with the larger storage. I got the purple one with a few added accessories. The next day my stolen phone was returned to a cell phone repair store to get unlocked and resold.Thankfully I was told and came in to return the 14pro and switch the service to my old phone. Thankfully Edgar was there the next day and helped me reverse everything we did the day before. We both had a feeling I would be back but I'm so happy I got all my photos and contacts from my old phone. I was so thankful for Edgar's help and he even put my name on the pre-order list for the 15. This is the only Verizon store I come to because everyone here is always super helpful and friendly. I will be back very soon to properly upgrade to the 15! Terrible terrible store. I've been a AT&T customer for 42 years and never have had so many problems with them. Bad service bad customer service high prices can't get my billing right on the phone for hours at a time only to get disconnected or hung up on. I've gone to this store three times and every time they have a bad attitude and they don't care or want to help. The one girl I always get is rude and mean. Last time there with my bill that has not had a payment coupon with it they won't take my check or cash only credit card and I don't pay like that. She said she's going to take care of it but never did when I told her she just said I'm not going to help you because you're rude even though I wasn't. Calls to the company only result in 37 minute calls up to two hours with no results or just hung up on. I would recommend getting another company and don't ever go to this store on Alicia parkway in Mission Viejo. I will be switching to another company soon. read more

I worked with Richie, and he was incredibly helpful and they helped me set up my business account super quickly. I had an appointment before I went in. They were ready to help me right as I stepped inside the store. It was a complex account where I exchanged phones and got three additional lines. They left me feeling great and I even had some questions when I got home and I called and they picked up the phone and walked me through them right away. I'm definitely gonna always use this location. I had tried other locations and was left waiting so long. But I was so grateful to set an appointment and have them help me promptly when I arrive. Jacob was great to work with during my recent visit to upgrade a phone and see what new plans were available. I much prefer to do these sort of things in person than online or over the phone. Jacob was very patient and explained the different options available. My old plans were very old, so there were quite a few differences between them. Even though there was some confusion after I left, Jacob went out of his way to follow up with me, explain everything and give me different options. I ended up going back into the store and this time Ryan helped me out. He was extremely knowledgable about all of their products and very straightforward. He looked at my account and immediately helped me make a couple of beneficial changes. This was all done during the Christmas season, so they were very busy, but they always went out of their way to provide excellent service. Thanks guys. read more

it's never easy to go get a new phone , lots of choices, trade ins etc.. when going to Verizon the best one is on Alicia pkwy in Laguna Niguel and ask for Brian H - he was awesome, took his time with us answered all of our questioned with a smile - (he plays a sick guitar too if you're into music.) What a disappointing store this turned out to be. Brandon their manager is a hypocrite and two faced. I will never walk into this store again. Not to mention Verizon has raised their prices in very category for plans, to insurance to fees, etc......Disgusting. I have had to escalate my complaints to the DM which hasn't pleasant either. She is wishy washy on her promises too. Paying $325 a month which is close to $4000 a year, I expect better service and deals. I expect professional employees and not rude ones. Came here to switch from Att to Verizon after trying Victra [authorized dealer] (Don't go there lol) but this was after the holidays and they were crazy busy and the wait was like three hours on the waitlist. I finally got a call to come back and glad I did. I ended up getting taken care of and getting all the assistance and accessories I needed. They were a little low in stock however. Later I called in for customer service after I left I actually learned more of what Verizon had to offer that I was never told by the salesperson. The salesperson was new but glad it all worked out. Just make sure you get here early and get your name on the list at busy times. There were a lot of angry people that couldn't get In to see someone so plan ahead. Large store with a lot to see and many options. Do your research online regarding what you want and what deals they have before planning on coming in if you have too. read more

This is the worst Verizon store ever. Do not go here go somewhere else if you must! I bought a new iPhone 14 a few months ago and then I had to go back and have all the extra stuff taken off that the salesman put on to make his commission. They are commission sales people here. Be very careful when you make purchases here as they will load you up with stuff you don't need! In addition to that, I came in to pay a bill because I can't log into my Verizon account for some strange reason and the credit card I had set up with the account had been compromised so I had to pay the bill in person just this once. I went into the store and it took me about a half hour! The people that work at the store are awful the manager let him get away with murder go elsewhere, anywhere else! Lake Forest has a great store with a better score and I once went in there and they fixed the problem immediately! I am now in the process of closing out My Verizon, and going back to AT&T because of that store and the poor service from Verizon and not being able to get into my business account to pay my bill. They requested my account number while I'm paperless. Yeah good luck with that! Try calling them and you can't get through either! I had an excellent experience at this Verizon store earlier today. I highly recommend working with Morgan. I planned on upgrading my phone and she was able to run a check on my family plan and found a promotion. She explained other options that were available to me and how it would impact billing. She was very helpful. I was dreading going to Verizon since I had a terrible experience at the Culver City location a few days earlier. The salesman assigned to me mumbled, did not explain my plan, did not check for promotions, and almost changed my plan to be more expensive! Morgan and this location were the complete opposite. Morgan is a wonderful employee and saved me quite a bit of money! I can't say enough good things about my experience at Verizon today! read more

The worst store ever. Went in today to troubleshoot my Son's new iPhone. The guy with the beard instead of saying 'hello, welcome, how can we help you today'' looked at us with a hostile look, like we were terrorists. Very disappointing experience, but no surprise, this particular store is amongst the worst store ever. Maybe Mr. Beard should take serious customer service courses before taking a role where the first fifteen seconds of customer experience is which leaves impression whether is positive or other. I absolutely love this store since it is down the street from my home in Aliso Viejo. I was able to upgrade my family from the crappy AT&T cell phone service I previously had which kept dropping my calls. I got a much better rate with Verizon and best of all, we were able to keep all of our cell phones, where Verizon paid them all off and gave my whole family a much better monthly rate thanks to the discount at my wife's company. We were able to bundle our cell phone service with home internet for a great deal. And best of all, during the Christmas rush I was able to buy my son an Xbox Series X at this store since Verizon now sells both Xbox and Playstation consoles along with cell phones and other great electronics. I love that this store is clean, well managed and the service is excellent. Great job guys, keep up the great work! I'm really glad I upgraded to Verizon. The sales guy played games, lied and tried to charge us more. It is like walking into a car dealership. I am pretty sure they work off commission or have some kind of kick back. My experience has been consistent over 20 years. Almost paid $3,384 for a phone! The long story: He wanted to "give us a good deal" by opening an imaginary new line so we could get an iPhone discount. But we would have had to lock in at $94 in monthly fees for 36 months. So we would be paying $3,384 plus taxes and fees for a new iPhone. So he is proposing to cheat Verizon by making up fake accounts, but is really cheating us. Not a good way to do business. Buyer beware if you're in the store. The guy on the Verizon help line was VERY helpful and helped us get out of that bad contract. read more

Back in April 2023, we decided to switch to Verizon home internet services, we have been Verizon wireless customers for years, never had issues before, at that time they were offering internet services for $35/month plus a free Xbox S Series only if we kept the internet. We went directly to the store to get all the info and yes, we got Verizon Internet. After 3 months I contacted them asking about the Xbox, they said that due to inventory they were not able to mail it and we needed to wait a bit longer. We have four kids that were beyond excited waiting for the Xbox. I have contacted them at least 4 times, after waiting and waiting I contacted again in December because Verizon was promoting an Xbox for new internet customers, this really upsets me because they said they did not have the Xbox consoles in stock, so how come you are offering something you don't have?, the rep told me he sent my complaint to escalation and that I would receive the Xbox in the next days, today January 17th 2024, I received an email with a $200 HOME DEPOT GIFT CARD! Not Amazon, not Best Buy, not Target! HOME DEPOT! Home Depot doesn't sell Xbox Consoles! The Xbox doesn't cost $200! I contacted them again and they said sorry! There is nothing we can do, you have your Home Depot gift card now! They did not contact me to say sorry we don't have them or we are not going to have them, can we offer you a gift card? I would say Yes from a store I can buy the Xbox! And for the correct amount! read more

Bottom line: Stay away! Incompetent service. Lack of transparency. We went to the store to update our plan and phones. We worked with someone named Tyler, and here were all the things that have gone wrong or weren't explained clearly: Wrong shipping of new phones: The store has neither Samsung nor iPhones in stock so they have to ship them. My family and I live in separate states, and Tyler said we could do a split order so the phones could be delivered to different addresses. Unfortunately my phone, which should have been shipped to the East Coast, was shipped to CA - this is even after I verified the order and address with him. Woefully unclear explanation of plan: Tyler said that if we signed up for Autopay, then we would get a $20 discount per month on our unlimited data plan. I asked him if I could switch the payment to my account instead of my mother's (who is account owner) and he said sure and told me I could do it online. And here are all the things he failed to tell us, which we learned through a helpful Verizon representative over the phone. 1. Only the account owner can set up autopay, so actually I cannot do this through my account online. 2. The discount is only for 55+ account owners, which he did not mention so even if we were to switch ownership to me, we would not get the discount bc Im not 55+. 3. The autopay discount is only valid if we use a debit card or Verizon credit card - NO OTHER CREDIT CARDS are valid. He did not explain this whatsoever. What an awful experience. I am disappointed in the lack of transparency and communication. read more

If I could give this Verizon Store ZERO stars, I would!!! We were offered a free upgrade on one of our phones. So we went to this location in the mall to trade in our sons old XS iPhone for a new 13. Everything went fine, until the end when suddenly they sprung a MANDATORY "bundle" package which included a cord, plug, screen protector and case for OVER $150!!!! I said I didn't want it, and was told how this particular "franchise location" ONLY sold the phones with bundles. I told him how I was there less than a year ago and this was not the case. He checked my account and tried to say that employee didn't work there anymore for that reason. Absolute NONSENSE!!! I called Verizon and they are sending me the phone for FREE!!! The girl holding the front of the store seemed like she was new or confused and gave me tone and told me to slow down and explain what I needed again. First off it's not what do you need. You act with professionalism and ask how may I/we assist you? I've been in customer service over 20 years. Then the short girl with glasses that assisted me added stuff I did not want claiming that the ai on her tablet builds the plan that is best for me and if I don't want some features that I can remove it from the app. Thankfully the app is easy to use and allowed me to remove the hotspot and insurance addons. I hope I don't see this billed to me. If this is how people "sell" then they need to reevaluate their life choices. Don't try to use ai or any other scapegoat for you wanting a bigger check. I walked into this location ( from Laguna as the Laguna location closed permanently) & wanted to get help with a new iPhone I purchased at the Apple Store. My guess is because I didn't spend the $1,100.00 at the Verizon store, Jason immediately felt reluctant to help me. After catching his terrible vibe, I asked him to speak to a supervisor. He told me " I AM the supervisor". He proceeded to tell me he couldn't help me with the Apps on my iphone that weren't loading and I should go back to the Apple store so they too can tell me the same thing: I just had to wait several days for all my Apps to reload onto my new phone. Really?? I then asked if he could go over my current Verzion plan to make sure I was on the right plan best suited for me. He looked at me and told me he had 16 other people in front of me & could not help me right now. Ok, I get it, I have to make an appointment right? Well, he should have told me that right from the beginning instead of asking me " How may I help you?". Then he suggested I come back in 4 hours!! When I said I was unable, then he said I don't have another appointment for you until Sunday ( today is Wednesday). When I told him I was going to be out of town Sunday, he just shrugged and said "Well, I can't tell you when the next available time would be, and you're welcome to call customer service for your issues". OMG!!!! So, I suggested he look at the iPad he was holding to consult their location's schedule & see when the next available day would be after my return. He was so arrogant that I just had to come out and ask him how he could be so flippant, when he could see that I was a customer that needed his expertise and support, that he clearly was unwilling to provide. David was NO help at all and his attitude stunk. I also spoke to the manager Art (who has been mentioned in a number of 1 star reviews on Google) and received THE worst service I've ever had anywhere. Refusing to answer simple questions, Art evaded giving us information better than any politician in D.C. The way he stutted and posed as he talked to us was quite comical. He reminded me of a little boy playing "office". We didn't trust a single word Art spewed. We were LIED to multiple times at this store, which became apparent when we went to another Verizon store ... We drove 7 miles to the Lake Forest Verizon store and we were told of a deal on an iPhone, which we purchased. We didn't have to upgrade our plan at all. I will be posting a glowing 5 star review for the Lake Forest store. David and Art give Verizon a black eye. If it weren't for the Lake Forest Verizon employee, I would now be a Cox or AT&T customer ... and we've been with Verizon 23 YEARS. Art and David need to start being honest with customers, treat them with respect, and stop focusing on SELLING expensive phones. I shudder to think how much business Art and David have cost Verizon ... how many customers have been driven away by these two smart mouthed con artists ??? This company needs to reevaluate what they call a manager. she seemed confused and unable to process everything going on in the store. it looked like her teammates were waiting for direction on who to help or what to do. while I was explaining my issue she rudely interrupted me and said that someone can help me once I am next in line but it would cost me $30.
