I wish I had read the reviews before I went to this store because I never would have shopped here. I am going on 2 months of trying to get 2 issues resolved with the purchase of a new iPhone. My 2 issues are: 1. I had a $100 credit towards a new Iphone that I presented to the sales person, this still has not been processed 2. When I preached the phone I was given a "free piece of equipment to boost your service". Indeed, I found this was not free and I was charged $50 for the device and $10/month on my bill. When I tried to return the device which I did not need or want and never used, I was told it would cost me $175 to return and deactivate the device. During the 2 months I have called the store at least 5-6 times to speak to a manager who never seems to be available. I've been in the store itself 3 times where I met with the Manager Marlin twice, both times she told me she had to speak to her manager about this and would get back to me. I never heard back and have had to call again to try and get an answer. No one has returned my call. I have spent and inordinate amount of time on these issues that should have been easily resolved if there was any basic customer service at this store. Unfortunately, Verizon (the corporation) seems unable to help me because this store is independently run, which I wish I knew as well because, again, I would not have made a single purchase in this store had I known. read more

(Won't specify the name as I have no desire to get this person in trouble). He doesn't try to fix my phone bc he's sure it just won't work. He's promising to give me deals that he can't say too loudly bc he doesn't want to get in trouble...really? Wish I didn't listen to him, he's just lying the entire time. Unfortunately I bought a new phone here which I strongly encourage everyone NOT to do. If you have to buy one, go to an actual Verizon/Apple store. Staff here is completely shady and dishonest. Turns out I don't need a new phone. Today I go to a legit Verizon store today on Sunset in Weho and they fix my phone free of charge within 20 seconds. They even told me that the staff member made a big mistake by insisting I get a new phone. They said it was an easy, basic fix and it's obvious that he just wanted a sale. Unfortunately when I came back to return my phone, had more drama. The assistant manager says she can do a full refund and then later negates her statement. Meanwhile the staff member who forced the phone on me is there. He's rolling his eyes, being disrespectful and just not taking responsibility for lying to me. His behavior is beyond unprofessional and I feel bad for any customer that has to deal with it. His manager basically says, she can't do anything bc she wasn't there when he sold the phone. Wow...I don't know where to begin with this. Can she only help with issues where she's been present for the problem? Couldn't get a clear, honest answer from her and she just wasn't listening. So I gave up. At this point, my time and money were wasted. I get this staff wants to sell products, but blatantly lying to people isn't the way to have loyal customers. This has got the be the WORST customer service I have ever received in my life... These people are just after your money and once they have it, they could care two licks about you. I purchased a phone from this joke of a store, and they told me that if there were any problems that I should come back and they would help me out. They were so kind initially when they were trying to sell me stuff... One week later, they not only renigged on EVERYTHING they said, but they made me feel like I was the problem when I came back to show them that 2 of the accessories they sold me didn't work... They treated me like an idiot! At one point, when this ridiculous sales lady told me that the only way I could get an item exchanged is if I went to their website, I said, "Website?" as in "why can't you help me here in the store." And she literally said to me... "Yes. A Website. Where you go online to get information. That's what a website is..." They wouldn't refund me the money, AND wouldn't give me a store credit... But FORCED me to do in-store exchanges for crap I didn't need!!!! You should NEVER NEVER NEVER buy from this place. They just want your money, and that's all they care about. STAY AWAY. NOT A CORPORATE STORE. MASSIVE SCHEMING. Had an awful awful experience at this verizon store a few months back. Went in to purchase the new iPhone 6 SE. I traded in two old phones for credit and they went on to tell me with my purchase I could receive a free accessory. Free? Okay, well, I don't really need it but I'll take this charger I suppose. And then they went on to tell me I could get their tablet for just $40. Umm, okay, I don't really need that either but sounds like a great deal so sure. I get home and carefully reviewed the receipt only to find out the charges between the two products amounted to $120. They were scheming me and trying to hide it under all the credit I should have received from trading in my two phones. I returned to the store the next day to speak with the manager. I explain the situation and he tells me he would have to review the cameras to see if I was telling the truth. I told him I would wait for him to review and that he would find everything I said to be true. He seemed hesitant so i asked him if he could just call the employee that rang me up and inquire about it. He did so and to his horror discovered it was true. But he didn't scold the employee over the phone for blatantly trying to take advantage of me. No, he told him he "needed to be more careful". Meaning, he needed to not get caught when tricking customers into making these purchases. He tells me he will refund the items. He then had the audacity to try and sell me a cheaper tablet. I mean, what is wrong with these people? Their customer of 15 years was just schemed and wants the items to be fully refunded and he's still there trying to hustle me. One of my biggest irritations was the fact that when I agreed to the original tablet there was no acknowledgement or explanation that this tablet would also be costing me on my data plan on a monthly bases. I mean, this is basic information that needs to be told to a customer before they swipe their card and sign off on this. I was appalled. Even after leaving I realized they didn't refund the $20 Set Up fee for the tablet that was refunded but I didn't have the energy to deal with them anymore. I have been with Verizon since I was a kid and always spoke kindly of them but when I see this sort of sales attitude and trickery it really upsets me and makes me wonder how Verizon is training their employees. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Definitely avoid. Go to a real Verizon Wireless store or shop online instead. I came in to upgrade one of the phones on my family plan. They offered a free screen protector. Sure, I'll take one. On my bill were many charges that I did not authorize.The "free" screen protector was on the bill, they signed me up for insurance without asking, and they added additional accessories that they never asked me if I wanted (and didn't give me). I am still in the process of getting these charges reversed. All in all, they have done everything possible to ensure I never shop here again. read more

Very disappointing experience with Nazz who made me buy things that I don't need by saying that it's a part of the offer. He didn't mention that he included an extra battery, iPhone case and screen protector in my bill and only after I signed it and he set up my phone and I was about to leave I asked for the printed copy of my bill. I saw that I was charged over that a $100 for stuff that I didn't request and when I asked him to explain he started telling me that wouldn't give me such a good price for the iPhone that traded in and some blah blah blah.. seriously?! NOT A CORPORATE STORE. DO NOT USE! I needed to get a new iPhone 6 ASAP and went into this store thinking it was just a normal, old Verizon corporate store. I talked to Jose, explained my situation (old phone died, need a new phone ASAP, on family plan) and was told I would be taken care of. Jose grabs me a new phone, plus a couple of other iPhones saying they are part of a Loyalty Program Verizon is doing, when you upgrade to a new iPhone, any other members on your plan with an iPhone get a free upgrade. I asked the guy repeatedly... That there will be no charges for the phones or any changes to plan. He says "No, nothing changes." Fast forward a month later and I get a new bill. ??? extended my contracts for another 2 years on the two "Free" upgrade iPhones. I went to a REAL, corporate location to discuss my options and find out that this store wasn't legit, and was 3rd party store that cons people into thinking it's a corporate Verizon store (which I didn't even know was a thing). I can't put all the blame on these guys, as I thought the idea sounded "too good to be true" and still went along with it. They con'ed me, fair and square. Looks like all the reviews are all true. I highly recommend to stay away from this store. I purchased an iPhone 7 plus and the sales rep told me they were giving me a free tablet for buying a new phone. This seemed like a great deal until I received my phone bill with connections charges and an extra line fee for $20 and a 2 year contract for the table. I was told that the tablet was free and they never mention anything about the tablet being under contract and that I had to pay $20 for an additional line. This is the worst scheme!!!! I complained to the manager who said they were going to refund my money for the installation but I'll have to keep paying the line for 2 years otherwise I will have to pay a cancelation fee. Fast forward a few months later and nothing has been credited to my account. I called several times and the manager told me he will call me back but never did. Every time I called back I will be on hold for a long time. When I finally talked to him, he informed me that there is nothing he could do. I asked for a manager and he refused to give me a name. So I got sick and tired of my iPhone 6 with sprint finally came here to the store very well kept lot of service people. roni was my salesman. Not only did he make the transfer easy he got my new phone number ported over in minutes I got an iPhone 6 Plus 64 MB I'm very happy he gave me a case he gave me a screen protector extra chargers cost me under a grand. It's well worth it to never have any services issue and I could sell my old phone close to 400. All in all I'm very happy with my new carrier very happy with my sales person thank you so much I will send all my referrals. See you guys soon read more

This place is a nightmare of SCAMMING. Also, this is NOT a Verizon store. It's a 3rd party store that sells Verizon. They are total liars, thieves and scammers. STAY AWAY. So here's my story: Went in to update my plan. That's it. No new phone, nothing. Just changing my plan. I am not under contract to Verizon any longer, and my old iPhone works fine. They tried to give me a "free" WiFi hot spot device as part of a "promotion" they are having. I told them I really didn't need it. They kept pushing it on me, and so I finally said OK why not. It's free, right? My first red flag was when the salesgirl now tells me after we upgrade my plan that I need to pay the sales tax on my "free" gift. $20 or so. Hmm, so much for free, but OK...why not. Then finally after we get my plan upgraded, I notice my new plan's cost is higher than as advertised. Why? Well, it turns out, the "free" gift also adds a $10 per month charge to my plan. They never mentioned that. In fact, she talked in circles until I finally get her to admit it. So, I said, well then, NO I don't want this "free gift" that I don't need, and is actually not free, it's $20 in sales tax and now $10 per month. I refused this gift and ask her to reverse the $20 sales tax charge to my credit card and change my plan to what I had originally wanted. After a long time reversing all her BS, she finishes and I leave. Without my "free" gift, since I refused it. Well, when I get home, I go to the Verizon website to check and see if everything is as I asked for, and I see this store actually used this "free" hotspot, that I don't even have, to generate and lock me into a new 2-year contract, and generated a new phone number and phone line that they never told me about! I called Verizon. Talked to a good rep over there. They will be reversing all the changes and charges that would have been associated with the new device, including a $350 termination fee this scam store would have stuck me with, cancelling this phantom new phone number and new line, all of which I was never told about. Some "free" gift. What a scam. How a place like this stays in business is beyond me, but STAY FAR AWAY. read more

Do NOT buy a phone from here. This is not a regular Verizon store. I thought I lost my phone so I came here to get some info and potentially buy a new phone. The sales associate told me that if I found my lost phone, I could absolutely return it. Of course I didn't realize that this was franchise store and not an actual Verizon store so they're allowed to charge the consumer whatever they want (double the price of what a Verizon store charges - like a restocking fee). In addition - I waited over an hour to check out bc their internet is weak and slow as hell (& they don't even let customers use their restroom). After a week went by, I located my phone and tried to return my purchase. After all the hidden fees they didn't tell me that I wouldn't be able to get returned to me bc this is a dishonest type of business, I would only receive about $50 back from the initial $250 I paid. At that moment in time, the sales associate convinced me to keep my purchase & to sell it online. She also suggested that I could come back and upgrade to a new phone (since I was unhappy w/ my purchase). She did NOT tell me I had 14 days to exchange my phone if I wanted to. Fast forward to today (a month and a half later from when I originally purchased my phone) and I cannot return or exchange my phone since it's been more than 14 days from when I purchased this POS. It states this policy on my NDA that I signed (lol why I was required to sign one - I don't have a damn clue). No one verbally told me that I would only have 14 days from the date of purchase to make an exchange. I see how this place reels in customers because it's RIGHT next to The Grove where they get tons of business from unassuming tourists and at the time, a desperate phone-less consumer like myself. read more

TL;DR Phone was malfunctioning - normally they'll just send you a replacement. This store told me I had to pay $100 to get a new phone and to LIE on my claim that my phone was lost or stolen. I went to the Verizon store at the Beverly Connection and ordered me a new phone (Galaxy S7) for FREE. -- I went to this store because my Samsung Note 4 was malfunctioning. It's an old phone so I didn't expect it to run phenomenally but at least be able to run apps and text/call without shutting off and restarting on its own. So, I took it into the store where they told me I didn't qualify to get a replacement and to go to phoneclaim.com to file a claim which I'd have to also pay $100 to get a new one. Accepting the misfortune - Verizon is just this way - I went home to file the claim. I filled out the forms only to find out I didn't qualify for a replacement phone - pissed - I called the store back to find out what went wrong and they told me I had to LIE on my insurance claim form to get the replacement. I found it hysterical that I was being asked to lie and to pay $100 for a replacement phone that was malfunctioning on its own. After doing minimal research, while still on the phone, I read the Device Replacement Program details back to this guy, which he then tells me I need to go to a corporate store. What a joke. Why didn't he just mention that in the first place? I've done 2 separate online order pick ups and both times it took longer than it should have. The first time the sales rep was having trouble activating my new line of service and the second time there was only one sales rep working and too busy with a customer to help me. The pick option is definitely accommodating but be prepared for a long wait if you ever select this store. Time is money. read more

It is rare when a trip to get your phone replaced can be considered a fun experience, but thanks to Chloe M at the Verizon Store on Fairfax, I had a great time. First of all, she helped me with the immediate problem of getting my phone situation straight. After she did that, she educated me about all the cool new Apple products, that I have now put on my wishlist. I left the store with a phone and a plan that I'm very happy with AND I didn't have to spend my entire work day there - (I'm looking at you, Apple). Quality Service. Upgrading my phone is usually a pain in the neck, but today Jessica did a fantastic job of helping me upgrade my cellphone with an added protection package. It doesn't help that the sales associates have to complete so much paperwork for a transaction, but Jessica and the staff were as fast as they could be and they helped me get in and out as fast as possible. (Example: worse experience trying to return things, redeem credit, etc.) I came here to switch my service from T-Mobile to Verizon, and the process was fast and painless. Braian was very polite and helpful during the setup of my iPhone 6S Plus. There have been some problems of people trying to switch over from T-Mobile, so check on the Verizon website and put in your IMEI and etc. to see before attempting. read more

When her phone broke for the umpteenth time last week she visited several different Verizon stores in LA prior to landing here. None of the stores she visited were at all helpful and every time the answer was, we don't know what's wrong, guess we have to send you yet another refurbished blackberry (none of which ever worked properly). Richard the NEW MANAGER, was amazing. I have been going to this store for many years and have been very dissatisfied with the customer support. In fact they have ripped me off from time to time as they were only focused on hard sales. However today the new manager RICHARD who just took over went to the trouble to drive himself to another store and pick up my iPad and personally drop it off at my house. I had ordered this iPad and it was late arriving and the wrong one came. He caught this error and stepped in and decided to fight to find one for me. I came in back in November to buy an IPhone. Called beforehand and they said they had it in stock. When I got there the sales person Beatrice told me it was sold out. I said I just got off the phone with someone who said it was in stock. She said oh ok. Brought the phone out. Then told me she couldn't use my PIN number to get into my account. Lie #2. Then at the end of the transaction told me I was only paying taxes. Emailed me the receipt and when I saw it I saw a $20 charge for "set up and go". Called the store and talked to the manager who said "this is something we charge when we set up a device but since we did not set yours up you shouldn't have been charged it". She had me come back in for a refund. When I went in to get the refund, Beatrice refused to give me the refund. I had to go back and forth with her for about 20 minutes before I was finally issued my refund. Then today I decided to give this location another try. I called ahead to confirm they had a specific IPad in stock. They said they had it so I drove over there. I waited for an hour while Beatrice was arguing with another upset customer. When it was finally my turn I said I called earlier and was here for the iPad. She told me she didn't have it in stock. I let her know I had just called and she got it from the back and acted like she didn't know it was there. We get to the end of the transaction and she says "your total is $73". I said 10% tax on a $350 iPad is nowhere near $73. Can you please take the excess charges off. She said no she will not. I said you are not setting anything up you have no reason to charge me made up fees, and that came straight from your managers mouth. She said "well my managers not here now is she". I told her to refund it. She wanted to send me another pin to my phone but I didn't have it in me so I told her to use my pin. She said "that's fine we can sit here all day". So I said sounds good to me. Eventually she used my pin and said "it's returned, bye". I said I need some form of receipt or proof it's been returned. She rolled her eyes and grabbed me a piece of paper with nonesense on it. I was told it is "company policy" to charge a set up on every sale. So you're openly admitting to ripping your customers off. This company needs to be boycotted. read more
