I was pretty hesitant to go to this Verizon store at first due to all the negative reviews, but eh.. It was the closest location so we gave it a try. Walked in, and was immediately greeted by a rep named Robert. Turns out, Robert was the general manager of the store and was actually really helpful. He was patient and thoroughly explained all the current plans and promotions to us. Helped us open our lines and nail some great deals for the Iphone 6. He also advised us to come see him directly for any questions/concerns in the future. I actually ended up coming back the next day to switch/edit my plan/order and he was there to help me out! From beginning to end. I don't know how the rest of the staff are, but Robert seems to be great and I'm sure he will expect the same from his employees. Based on my interaction, i would recommend giving this place a shot. read more

Went in on 12/27/19 and was helped by Letie. She helped me make the switch from AT&T to Verizon. Excellent customer service, she offered me all the deals/ promotions but was not pushy when denying them (I brought one device from AT&T and didn't take the bogo). Upon first arrival a nice black guy (didn't get his name) asked us if we needed help, we said yes but instead of him helping us a lady name Letie decides to take over, and sent him to attend someone else. The store only had 4 customers, all of whom whee being helped. She asked what the issue was, I said the battery of my iPhone 5S is not working, it displays 70% and than it drains and dies. She immediately starts speaking to us like we are idiots. First she said I have to charge my phone from 4 to 5 hours a day, because the battery meter is misleading. Than I say that didn't make any sense but whatever maybe I'm wrong, so I asked if I could get a replacement battery and she said it's IMPOSSIBLE because the iPhone battery is imbedded inside and it can never be replaced. That's the first time I hear that, I have friends who have told me about getting a new battery. I immediately go online to the Apple Store while she's talking trying to make my dad by a new phone at retail price, or send it out to have the same one repaired. Note: we are up for upgrade! Well guess what I found on Apple.com online, "Apple has determined that a very small percentage of iPhone 5 and 5S devices may suddenly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently. The affected iPhone 5 devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and fall within a limited serial number range. If your iPhone 5 is experiencing these symptoms and meets the eligibility requirements noted below, Apple will replace your iPhone 5 battery, free of charge." Imagine that, I might be able to get a new battery for FREE, but Letie said its impossible to change the battery because its imbedded and I would have to get a new phone. Apple.com also said, that if I didn't qualify for a new battery I could get a new one for a fee. This store only cares about sales and not helping customers. My father proved Letie Wrong by telling her that having his current phone sent out for a repair would cost more than buying a new one. When you treat customers like they are idiots, you best believe I will call you out on Yelp. I've been a Verizon customer since before they where Verizon, it was airtouch in the 90's. I would expect better customer service at their local store. Be advised that this is not the first incident at this store, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Came here in request of activating my unlocked iPhone 6 that I bought from Apple Store. It was having some issues but they got it all figured out and we're really friendly. Everybody seemed really friendly here! Very patient , understanding and informative. It's located in montebello mall. I needed a SIM card and it was free of charge. While browsing around and waiting to be assisted, one of the phone security alarms was easily triggered. Myself and some other person triggered it twice by mistake Haha. My wife and I went into this location because my wifes contract is up and she was eligible for an upgrade. The sales rep basically upsold a 600 dollar phone with monthly payments for 2 years and an upgrade fee of $35 and we had to sign a2 year contract again. I don't know how that sounds to the rest of you but that's not much of a deal considering we're long time Verizon customers. We called customer service to figure out why we couldn't get a better deal and it turns out we can get a better deal. He got us that same phone Plus broke our plans up and dropped $40 off our entire monthly bill and got us more data. Why couldn't the guy in the store do the same thing. read more

Dudes today I well 5 cellular places my first choice was Verizon for 20 for 2gb tablet data plan on my ipad to use the Esim. They are so stupid. One Verizon reseller kept asking what did phone support before telling me to go a local store say? And told me those things might be better if you go to the apple store. Then went to montebello mall to go to the Official verizon store they try to tell I have to use a real sim b4 I can get a data plan on the ipad air 3rd gen then I called corporate just when they are about to activate my ipad the phone cutoff after 30 mins i gave up. I gave up on Verizon went to sprint 2 stores down they are try to sell me a 80 dollar phone plan when I said I just need data on tablet which cannot make calls. I give up on Cdma there is reason why gsm companies like att and T-Mobile are gaining so much ground lately. I went to the att reseller store on on the bottom of the mall and got a 20 dollar a klmonth unlimited 4glte data plan ising the the esim on my ipad it is sad that they are not trained on the tablet data pricing diference between a esim and an apple sim vs a regular sim. read more

I rarely write reviews but CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. I walked in and a lady walked up to me and asked how she would like to help me today. I told her I wanted to buy the new iphone7 plus because I read on the internet that there was a special deal. I told her what I had read online about the monthly payments and she just agreed to everything. She then asked me what color and gbs I wanted. I told her I wanted rose gold in the 128gb. She quickly went to the back and checked what she had in stock. As she came out, she said she only had rose gold in 32gb. I was extremely sad but just asked her if I can order and have it shipped to my house. When I was purchasing the first payments, she told me that I was going to receive my phone in 2 days. As quick as a flash, I was joyfully out of there (thinking I was going to get my phone in 2 days). The following day, I checked the status of the phone. The status stated, "Phone will be shipped out the next day." When she clearly told me I would be getting my phone in 2 days! I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she probably meant, it will be shipped out in 2 days. So from that date I ordered, I had waited one week for my phone. After a long day at work, I was extremely happy to go home and activate my phone. As I get home, the Fedex note was left on my door saying, "Sorry we missed you...We will come again at the same time." (noon time) Unfortunately, everyone in my household works, so there was nothing for me to do but to go to FedEx (I lowkey just wanted my phone too). The FedEx was only less than 20 minutes away from me but in LA (imagine the traffic). I get my package and as I'm sitting in the traffic, I franticly wanted to see my phone. Being super ecstatic about opening the box, I NOTICE THAT ITS 32GB INSTEAD OF 128GB! My emotions just exploded!!!! I called the Verizon but it was not to their location. Customer Service told me that the Montebello location should have the 128gb in stock so I can exchange it. The guy who helped me was extremely nice and patient with me for causing any inconvenience. The INCOMPETANT GIRL who wasted my time and gave me false hopes should be trained better and not worry for the commission she was going to receive. The guy who helped me told me about all these deals that she had never told me. He told me about electronics that I can get, trade ins values, accessories, etc. He even asked me if she wrote on a paper and explain everything to me. Literally everything he asked me, SHE DID NOT DO!!! Now I have to wait 1-2 weeks to get my damn phone after waiting a week before. Even though, the guy did not charge me the upgrade fee... I was still angry at her for giving me wrong information and sending me the wrong gbs! IF I WANTED A 32GB I WOULD HAVE JUST GOTTEN IT THE DAY I CAME IN!!!!! I was at this Verizon because while shopping at the mall "The Shops Mall" (in Montebello) my teenage daughter lost her iphone and after checking in the stores we'd been shopping in with no luck and unable to locate it thru the "find my phone" app because my daughter forgot her apple i.d, a nice lady suggested I go to the service provider to see if they could help. We were two stores away from Verizon so we ran over and talked to a worker named Fernando and although they couldn't help locate it (apple privacy policy) Fernando had the good sense to put my daughter on one of the cellphones in the store so she could try entering all past passwords which turns out is much easier when you have a keyboard in front of you and it worked. My daughter located her iphone and Fernando made it possible, he stayed with my daughter while I ran downstairs to some watch repair shop to get it. Shame on the guy working there for saying he didn't have it when asked and turns out he did-terrible to do to someone esp 3 days before Christmas..however Fernando being the helpful sweet person he is, saved the day! this is the worst customer care i have had anyone experience. i live in florida and my father lives in california. i sent my elderly father into this store to retrieve his account number so i can transfer his phone number to my account to another carrier since he can no longer afford paying his bill, and they deliberately left 2 numbers off of his account . he spent about 1 hour trying to find the correct account number to give to the other carrier in that same mall. read more

BRADLEY the sales rep sold me on the buy one get one free Note 10+ 5G ... he printed out a paper and assured me that my bill would be $150 a month for both lines to include the leasing payments for the phones. Well after the initial month where my phone bill was all screwy because of the prorations etc... My regular monthly bill came out to $175 a month. I called him like he said to do in case of any issues, but he was very dodgy in returning my calls. Finally, we started communicating over text, and he assured me my bill would be corrected the following month. Well it wasn't!!! And after trying to reach out to him again, he stopped responding to any correspondence. Extremely misleading and unprofessional. This yelp review is only the beginning of the complaint process that I will initiate with Verizon. If my bill cannot be corrected, I will take my business elsewhere. read more

We been long time Verizon customers. Our past experiences at this location were so horrible that we avoided this location when it came time to upgrading our phones. The customer service & sale reps were terrible, not very helpful, informative nor did they seem to want to be there. Recently I went to Verizon kiosk at Costco to inquire to activate and open a new service account for a new phone that I received as a gift. I was informed that I needed to go to a corporate Verizon store to activate my phone, since it was not a new purchase. I went online to locate a corporate Verizon store, which directed me to Verizon store in the Montebello Town Ctr. I read some of the customer reviews and noticed that they were getting some positive reviews, so I made a trip over to the town center. The moment I enter the store I notice a difference from my pass experiences. A rep greeted me as I walked in and logged me in. Another rep came out and offer bottle water to all the waiting customers, all awhile apologizing for the long wait. When my turn came up Cesar helped me and got me all setup to go. He was very helpful and informative. I commented to him that I notice a big change in the customer service atmosphere in a positive way. He responded that the new management have been and continues to work hard to in improving customer service. In fact they offer free classes by a certified trainer (Bradley) on how to use your smart phone. Bradley is an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable of the I-phone and android phone. Highly recommend taking advantage of the free classes offered for your particular phone. read more

I have been a long time Verizon customer (10+) years, and I would ALWAYS shop at this store, because the staff and manager were always helpful, polite and friendly. Well this weekend I went in to upgrade on of my lines, I told the young lady I want to upgrade this line. The first thing out of her mouth was " you won't be able to keep your unlimited" I said I know this, after I upgrade this line, I'm switching it to my unlimited line so I can keep my unlimited data, again she said " you won't be able to keep your unlimited" I said Yes I can if I transfer the new phone to my line, the other line will loose it's unlimited but not the line I'm transferring it to. She told me "no you're wrong" and called over the manager, who she repeated the situation to, his reply as he walked away, "No you can't keep your unlimited" He wouldn't even stand there and try to understand, he just said his words and walked away. I WILL NEVER SHOP IN THIS STORE AGAIN, I PAY WAY TOO MUCH $$ TO VERIZON TO BE TREATED LIKE OH WELL..........I ALSO CALLED THE CORP OFFICE TO COMPLAIN! read more

This Verizon store was the most disconcerting, disappointing and dishonest experience I could imagine .Having been a Verizon customer for 13 years, I called Verizon billing about a mistake in billing, and through this unfortunate inquiry the story unfolds accordingly. The person helping me did her best to help sort out the problem of possible APs running in background being reason for the $15 charge. Her last effort was to have me remove the battery from my Samsung 3 with two minutes time out and replace. Upon completing this, my phone was dead. She referred me to tech, who tried everything she could think of and finally informed me I would have to buy a new battery or phone. I asked if I would get some sort of discount, and she replied it depends upon the store. She did document all that had taken place for any Verizon store to see, and validated that Verizon had broken my phone. Remember, this began with billing not a broken phone. Hence, a Sunday trip to the Montebello Verizon store and a nightmare I would wish on no one. Blanca was the representative who worked with me and I can say without reservation she was as helpful as she was allowed to be. She informed me they could give me two gigs, but I didn't need them, and asked for a reduction in the purchase of a new Samsung Galaxy 6 to replace my now dead S3, Blanca replied they could not reduce price, or give $ as compensation while repeatedly going into the back room to converse with the unavailable manager who had now decided my phone had water damage (which in fact it did not, he provided it at the store so he would not have to give me a discount) and still didn't have the guts or professionalism to face me. Finally, I asked if there was a phone cover I could have for free...none were available in leather for the S6 as the 7's were on their way. Blanca brought out a box of inferior cases of which I chose the best. I also asked for a cover for the glass on the phone. Blanca asked and was refused by the manager (we are talking $30 here and the case was supposedly $40. I paid for the phone by check, the cover by cash and the case was supposedly free. I felt exploited, raped and pillaged by an invisible authority to cowardly to come out and deal with his customer. Name Tom on phone who hung up on me when I called to speak to him and he heard my name. In my distressed dissatisfied state. I called Verizon to speak with someone with authority and perhaps some power. I was greeted by a man called Terry who confirmed that no money can change hands, but he would call the store, AND Eastern offices as soon as lunch in the East was over and report to me later. THIS was on Monday. I never heard from him. Thursday I called Verizon again, asking for someone with authority. I was speaking to Monique who assured me she had authority. I had her read the documentation, adding Terry's non call back and asked what compensation Verizon would give me. She asked what I had in mind. I thoughtfully replied "a couple hundred dollars" since my phone was three years old. Monique replied she was authorized to give me 30% off the purchase price of my new phone which was $574 (I paid cash for it). This amount came to $172 which she kindly rounded up to $175, and applied to my account. I felt this was very fair, thanked her profusely and felt I could continue my relationship with Verizon, if not the Montebello store. But wait, the story is not over. Two days later I received my regular Verizon bill, and the Montebello manager had charged me for the case "he gave me" a whopping $32.50. A coward, liar, cheat and thief. I called Verizon and they corrected this by removing the charge. Yes, in the end all was resolved, but ten stressful days this took, because of a mistake that led me to a store with a manager who clearly is not qualified for ANY management capabilities. Do not go to Montebello store, While the staff may be helpful, they can only extend what the manager shows them by example and design. Blanca was lovely, the manager a crook. Came in to upgrade an iPhone and was told I had to buy 180 dollars worth of products to receive the free upgrade to the iPhone 7 promotion. Later I called customer service to verify and was told all I needed to pay was the upgrade fee. I went back to return all the useless items I bought and the rep Ezekiel still tried to hustle me. The manager Sonny was completely useless, and I'm fairly certain he's the one telling the staff to do this. Never going back to this store and I will be writing a formal complaint. read more

Today I went to the store and was greeted by an OLDER Hispanic woman. I told her I was there to pick up my iPhone, when she asked if I was authorized. I then proceeded to show her all the information that was used to purchase the iPhone. But when she saw I wasn't on the list to purchase the iPhone she told me I couldn't pick it up. However, I had my moms ID, my ID, and the debit card used to purchase the iPhone. I typically have never encountered a problem at a Verizon store when I've had to pick up my phone. They usually look at the ID, and will ask if my mom isn't present, to speak to her on the phone so that they have authorization to give me the phone. But this woman and "solutions" manager provided anything but a solution. They actually explained things poorly, and I kept saying I did not understand what my mom had to do to get me on the account, since I have NEVER had a problem like this before. Well, we ended up calling Verizon customer service and reported the employees, the Verizon customer representative also told us that they could have given me the phone because I had all forms of ID and the debit card. I understand that they can't just give the iPhone to just anyone, but I had EVERYTHING needed as proof. I also just couldn't believe that they gave me such a hassle. When all these years we have been a customer (15 to be exact) and I've never ever got hassled when picking up a phone. read more
