My family and I got our phones here and we have been with verizon for over 10 years. I never had an issue in the past but i just had a terrible experience. Originally when we went to the store and got our phones, everything went super smooth. the sales rep was very knowledgeable and gave us all the right information. I was pleased with our first encounter. Fast forward 3 weeks, I realized I have been charged for insurance on the phones. I was immediately super upset. I never authorized for insurance on my plan nor was I even approached about the idea of insurance from the rep. I spoke with customer service and they said it was initiated at the store. I understand that sales reps need to meet their goals but please do so ethically. I don't mind being sold something but if you just sneak in extra services I did not ask for, you are doing it wrong. I asked for a refund and they said they will. Fast forward to today, I have not received a refund but instead, I got charged extra for insurance. Now i am even more upset. So i decide to step in this verizon store. I walk in and am told all of them are busy and that I would have to wait, which is fine. I wait for about an hour without any acknowledgement. It is 30 minutes past closing and I am furious. No "thanking" me for my patience nor letting me know they will be right with me. This experience may deter me from being a continue client with verizon. The management team needs to train their staff in common customer service. read more

I went with my sister and brother in-law who have Verizon to help them with their upgrades and possibly switch over to Verizon from my current provider. The guy who claimed was the manager was very dismissive and rude. An automatic red flag when guy in charge doesn't really care about "customer service". He refused to help or show us how to back up the phones or fully explain how the process would work. He tried to tell me there were people with appointments more important then me as I'm standing in an empty store with 3 other reps just standing around. Literally an empty store and employees just standing talking with each other. As if my money wasn't good enough. My current provider may not have the best coverage but their customer service is excellent. At this point I decided to keep my current provider and tried to talk my family to switching. Luckily Miguel, another rep came out and was very attentive and polite. He helped us and took his time. We went from getting one phone to two thanks to Miguel. He should be running the store not that other jerk who told me "I'm just here to get paid" and "it is what it is". I regret not getting his name but I didn't want to go look for his because it would have been bad for his health. read more

Worst experiment with Verizon!!!! We got a Google pixel 2 from this store 1 month ago, and the camera stopped working with in 3 weeks, so we switched a new phone in same model in another store. Yesterday, the new phone has the exact same camera issue. We tried to return it to this store, and they refused us because there is a small starch on it. Have anyone seen a unreturnable scratch on a phone that has just been used for a week??? We were returning it for disfunctional camera, not for a broken screen. I don't know if the policy is ridiculous this way or it's just their attitude, but this is enough to ruin my day. read more

This review is specifically for the store manager Robert. I don't know his last name because he didn't give me his business card but no matter. I went in to get a new iPhone and add a line with my son since it was his 14th birthday today and what I wanted and what happened was two different things. It ruined the rest of his birthday because the store manager Robert gave us the worst customer experience ever. We were receiving a discount due to a prior big mess and screw up in 2014 and the resolution to the prior mess was I was suppose to get this set discount but what I didn't know was that they set me up on a employee discount for a company I never even worked for! I don't know what that employee did in 2014 to remedy my situation all I know is he told me I was getting a Verizon customer discount due to the bad experience. What I didn't know was he lied to me and added me as an employee for a company I never worked so I was to receive the discount from a employer plan! Well fast forward to tonight....after speaking and going in circles they introduced me to Robert and all he could tell me was I was not supposed to get this discount since I'm not an employee at this company...really, I told you that...and I told you what had happened and why I was getting a discount! It's not my fault an employee back in 2014 did this!!!! Anyway, instead of hearing me out all he told me was he was going to make a notation so I would no longer receive this program, which I told him do not touch my account until I speak to his supervisor. This interaction lasted maybe TWO minutes because it seemed he was more interested in going home than taking care of my situation or doing his job! It took everything I had not to go off in front of his employees and further ruin my son's birthday!!! When I got home I spoke to Verizon customer service on the phone and got Andre and his supervisor Deb who renewed my faith in Verizon and I will be giving the a 5 star review. They also left a message for Julio, which happens to be Roberts boss. Hopefully he will help me sort this mess out and take care of this situation. If you can, avoid this location and definitely avoid Robert the store manager who needs more training in customer service. Instead of trying to penalize a customer for something they had no control over, listen to the customer and try to find solutions Robert! Angel the manager is very rude along with his employees I dealt with a girl who has medium long black hair with the worst attitude I didn't catch her name but I can only give that description. They don't care about customer service. When I asked questions they were very disrespectful, do not come here and waste your time. It shouldn't give town centers a bad name. They should just call it "a place to die." Any how, as for the Verizon store here. Whenever I feel like I need to come here and now deal with their shitty operators on the phone trying to sell you the latest piece of crap phone that will break in two months, to pay my bill, I am faced with a choice. Not get change or deal with a half hour line that looks like it's waiting for some health care. For the last three attempts I go in and ask any of the cashiers if I could get change to dispense into the machines as close to my bill's total as possible, NOT ONE IS EVEN HELPFUL. They make up excuses such as "I don't have change in my til because I haven't received any cash payments yet".. which leads me to wonder, how you would make change for anyone if they gave you a fucking $20 to begin with?!?!? The store is beyond unhelpful. If the Pasadena store wasn't so much of a detour because of the lack of a 710 extension, I would gladly go there. Every time I've been to that store location, they have no problem giving me change for my bill or just getting me quickly in and paying over the register so that they could give me change. This, has to be one of, if not, the worse verizon store possible. I know what you're asking me, how exactly is it possible for a store for a crummy company can be even worse? Believe me, it's like smelling a really bad pile of crap and then thinking, "well, it's not like it could get any more stinky." Only to come across and even more smelly pile of dung. This store and all of it's useless employees should be sacked. Pushing add-on features to phone plans in order to get a bigger commission. Do me a favor, if you work as a phone vendor, just go kill yourself. Or at least have some self respect and become a stock exchange broker. Having come in on Friday for the release of the iPhone 7, I ended up having to wait in line for almost two hours but it was all worth it once Rep Charles helped me out. He helped me by recommending not only a great new plan for me, but also helped me by getting me the iPhone 7 Plus I was looking for without trouble. He's seriously the best rep I've ever worked with at cell phone carrier. Everything he suggested to me was done with a lot of thought, and though he was also very fun to chat with he got everything done quickly. I will be coming back here again for any of my cell phone needs from now on. Just visited the Verizon store at The Shops At Montebello and was hoping this young man name Bradley from North Carolina that helped me a few years ago would be there and HE WAS!!! I received a letter informing me that a third party may have acquired the PIN for my account. Bradley made sure everything was taken care of before I left. I used to come to this verizon wireless store for ALL my cell phone needs but i moved to west covina and hardly come in any more... But i still considered this MY verizon store... Most of the employees there used to be pretty friendly but as of today i dont think so. Thanks to CARLOS. I called the store to ask about upgrading my line since they are having that "share everything plan" and then he just hung up. I even heard the click when he hung up on me. This review is late but I purchased an iPhoneX online and walked into the store and was greeted by Miguel (I'm like 95% sure that's his name as it's been a minute) but he said it was his first day there and it happened to be SuperBowl Sunday. He was incredibly friendly and helpful and help me set up my phone on the spot and answered all my iPhone as well as Android questions. So I ordered the new iPhone X and had my order to be picked up at this store. The manager "GEORGE" was RUDE, was very unprofessional, uncooperative, unwilling to help, and turned me away from Verizon service saying he was not able to do anything about it. He did not even attempt to call Verizon support for any of the issues he was having in order for me to pick up my order. Letie, was even less willing to help and wanted me to leave phone less as well as no attempts were made to accommodate my needs. When I first started with Verizon, I went to a different store and it took 4 hours to change to Verizon as the carrier and then purchase a phone. I added my brother to my line and got a new phone and decided to try a different Verizon store and came to the one in Montebello mall. Was greeted by Vanessa immediately (and not in a weird way) and Vanessa helped create my brother's line AND got the phone AND walked out the door in UNDER half an hour. In 2016 st this Verizon store we were asked if we wanted to purchase a jet pack (which is a mobile hot spot that allows you to connect yourlaptop to your mobile hot spot) we said no . one of their employees put this piece of equipment onto our account with a 2year contract . we've been paying 20 dollars a month since 2016 for this jet pack . over 500dollars. My roommate is an old man and he's the one that pays the bill and he didn't realize this was on here. So basically an Verizon employee at Monte bello got themselves a jet pack for over 2years. So damn scandalous. Verizon just credited 90 dollars back to us on 500. So pay close attention to your bill and to what exactly your signing for at this store. I'm so disgusted . A supervisor is supposed to be calling me back after they figure out who did this . hopefully with a credit for the rest of the 500. read more

I used to be a happy Verizon Wireless customer. Until I paid them a visit this past Saturday. I spend almost 2 hours there. I first walked in and gave a rep my name and phone number and told him my phone was not charging. I was told to take a seat someone would be able to help me. About 20 minutes later, one of the managers (Andres?) approached me and verified my complaint. He took my phone and said he would determine if the issue was with my phone or my charger. I've had my phone for over a year and took it in with the corresponding charger. About 15 minutes later, he returned and told me my phone was the problem. Since it was not charging with my charger or his charger. He told me my options to get this fixed were: 1. send the phone to the manufacturer under warranty but he could not guarantee a replacement phone would be free since the phone had wear and tear, visible damage on the glass screen protector not on the actual phone itself, 2. Buy a new phone. By the way, my contract ends in 6 weeks. I told him I did not want to risk sending the phone to the manufacturer not knowing how much I will be charged. I would rather buy a new phone but I was tied to a contract until August 2. I do not want to buy a phone at retail price nor buy a phone under their "Edge" program where the customer ends up purchasing the phone at retail price spread out in monthly payments. He said that a sales rep would be able to help me and he would see "what they can do for me." I patiently waited for about 40 minutes before a sales rep approached me. In the meantime, I was given a water bottle for waiting. That was a nice gesture. The sales rep told me my only option would be to buy a phone at retail price or in their device payment program, formerly known as their Verizon Edge program. Mmm no, thank you. I will not pay $672 for a cell phone I rather wait until my contract ends to purchase the phone at a discounted amount, usually around $200. I guess that's their version of "what they can do for me." Which is nothing. At the end of the day, they are salespeople and not focused on meeting customer's needs. I went to Best Buy down the street and the reps at the Samsung Kiosk took a look at my charging port and told me it looked fine so they charged it with their charger at their kiosk. The phone is fine! I bought their Insignia charger cable after trying it out for about $15 and voila my cell phone is charged and working great. Montebello Verizon, you suck! I wasted almost 2 hours of my life and didn't get anything resolved there. Don't come here if you expect exceptional customer service. Be prepared to be hustled. read more
