I went in today to have my daughter's flip phone number changed/transferred to my old iPhone, so she could finally have her 'own' smartphone. Thus, it was clear from the beginning that Ryan, who helped me, would not be making any money/commission as there was no sale to be had. It was a complicated process, but he patiently sought out different avenues until he was able to successfully switch the phones. I appreciate his kindness and tenacity to give excellent customer service when he and the store had nothing to personally gain from my visit. Thank you, Ryan, for serving us so selflessly today. Just wanted to give people a heads up that if you purchase an Apple device from this store and something goes wrong with it, the staff there won't be of any help. Purchased a new iPad Air in September from a guy named Ryan. He seemed nice and helpful and have no complaints there. The problem started at the end of December, approximately 3 months later, when the iPad no longer wanted to charge except at random. Ryan was not there so I dealt with Luis who agreed that it wouldn't charge. No surprise there. When I enquired about getting a replacement I was told that there was NOTHING he could do to help and I would need to go to an Apple store. The iPad was still under warranty and I have a protection plan but they can't do a thing to help, not even order a replacement. Luis told me to just go to the Americana and walk in and let them handle it. ( this turned out to be bad advice since walk ins are not allowed since Covid and it's by appointment only) Luckily I called first before wasting a trip down there. Perhaps this is Verizon's policy but had I known this, I would just have gone to Apple in the first place to purchase my device. Called Verizon customer service who informed me that a replacement could have been ordered by them due to my protection plan. It was crystal clear he did not want to be bothered. So if you purchase from them, you'd better hope that nothing goes wrong. They are also not affiliated with the Verizon company directly and are just a retailer, so they don't have much to lose if you're unhappy. I had the best customer service experience today from Luis Garcia. Luis went over and beyond to try to help me. I came in with a broken phone. He helped me purchase a new phone, update to unlimited data, and got me a bundle package with a new case and screen protector. When I was done, he gave me so many discounts that I will be paying less than when I walked in. He took time to make sure to connect all my old data to my new phone even though the old phone would not start. This young man was so kind and patient. *Updated Review* Customer service reached out to me and fixed the problem and I am happy with the way they handled everything. This shows they care about their customers and I am satisfied with my experience now. I wish I would have known this place was different than an actual Verizon store because now I feel like I got scammed. I bought a brand new phone for $1100 and bought $210 worth of taxes and equipment. On top of this they charged me $50 called a loyalty program to set up the phone which I didn't know wasn't a thing. I went to an actual Verizon corporate store and they said they don't charge their customers this. My friend just bought a new phone and she said she did not get charged this and they helped set her phone up. Why pay so much money and then get charged even more? On top of this I bought a faulty charger that they sold me and now I have to drive around to a new store just to get a charger that works. They really should offer a refund when every other Verizon store automatically helps you and doesn't charge you extra. So this store is extremely dishonest. We were tricked into agreeing to a tablet on some premise that it somehow was cheaper for my family's plan. What we were not told was that they would sneakily change our plans without our permission and remove our hotspots. Secondly it is worth noting that this is NOT a Verizon store but some sham 3rd party seller who flaunts their connection with Verizon and pretends to be one of their stores. The staff are intellectually challenged, apart from their ability to lie and cheat. They don't know how to help, lie, make false promises and generally act as low life snakes to take money off you. 1. They charge you Extra $79.99 per phone for customer when other Verizon store do Not do that. 2. They do Not refund your money right away. When you need to get refund they credit card machine do NOT work. It doesn't work for Refund. They need to call the office and wait more days then maybe you'll get the half of the amount. 3. They never answer the phone. I tried more then 10 times. 4. When they do answer the phone, then they'll say I call you back right away, Do Not expect to get any call back. 5. Most of time only one person working. Waiting time is minimum 30 mins. My issue: I was going to switch to Verizon, they charge me extra service fee $79.99 per line which is $159.98. At that time I didn't know other store do NOT charge that extra money. They said everybody charge that amount even $100 if I go to other store. I called other store to make sure I didn't get scam but other stores I called they do not charge $79.99 service fee. So I went back to cancel my order. I didn't want to deal with it at all. But he said he cannot cancel my order nor refund the money at the store -$:);&:@"-"/$;)9:&;$ they'll have to be done by office or they'll sent a check /$:);&;@:"/&:!;!what are you talking about!!! then I called called called to check the refund but not possible to talk to anyone. UNETHICAL MANAGER - STAY AWAY - TABLET SCAM The manager Leo is a completely unethical scammer--as all of the other reviews state here. My husband went in to buy a new phone and Leo "gave" him a new tablet (that we did not want or need) for free. Leo claimed it was a promotion and there were no charges whatsoever. As we just received our bill, we find out we are being charged a monthly fee for a new line - $25 over 24 months - to pay for the tablet, in addition to a bunch of other upgrade charges we were unaware of. Leo also happened to open the tablet in store so that we can't return it. How convenient. I called Verizon. After hours on the phone they were able to resolve this for us, because Verizon itself is a good company. It was very difficult for them to do, however, because of the complexity of this particular scam. It's very disappointing that some people are this dishonest and conniving. I went in to upgrade my phone in early July and was told a few things that turned out to be wrong. First, was told that I would get a $300 credit for the trade in of my iPhone 6s, which this salesperson confirmed over the phone with Verizon staff. (I heard it on speakerphone) After I turn in the phone I get a measly $90, though the phone is valued at $115. Phone was in great condition and wiped clean. This staff also told me once my phone was turned in I'd pay about $25 a month for my device. It's $38. Was he pulling this information out of thin air? Second, I fell for the stupid "free" tablet promotion. This gentleman, possibly named Jose, told me there was no catch, even though I asked him repeatedly to explain what I'd be charged for it. He couldn't quite explain it, but said I's save money by getting the tablet promotion. Also, he said I'd have 14 days to return the tablet if I changed my mind. I should have known better, but I think I had heat stroke that day because it was about 110 degrees outside. So I took it home, turned it on once, did not use it or download anything, and after looking at it a few minutes decided it's not something I would really use. A week later I took it back and was told I would be charged $75 restocking fee (less $25 for some credit I'd gotten for something). Mind you, this first salesperson said nothing about this. This was upsetting as I just plopped down a bunch of money for my upgrade, and now had to use my birthday money to pay this ridiculous fee for something I didn't even want. I tried explaining to the staff who I think was a manager, that my salesperson did a really poor job of explaining what was involved with this tablet, no matter how many times I asked him. He made it sound like I'd be breaking even or something. Had I known all the details I would have never taken it with me. Now I am being charged a connection fee on my bill for the tablet even though I returned it, and I got nowhere near what I was quoted for the trade in of my phone. This store has left a really bad taste in my mouth, and I will never go into a Verizon store for my business again. I will do everything over the phone. I don't understand why a representative can state something one day, and then another representative in the company will state something entirely different on a different day. I feel like I was lied to. I normally don't take to the internet when I'm upset but after this experience I'm out a few hundred bucks and it's maddening with all that I pay to Verizon each month. He said I could pay $250 to opt out of contract, then start a new contract and get a new phone, ( which I considered) but I would lose my number. For mother's day gift I have purchased 2 iphone 8 plus(BOGO). I was charged 2 x $49.99 for loyalty program which I was never expained by sales person Jose. I signed the charge which I was told that was taxes for the new phone. I came home and I saw two charges of loyalty program $49.99 each for the two phones. I called the store and asked about the charge and the sales person says it's standard set up charge. I was never explained and if I was then I would not have purchaed the phone there. Don't go to store where it says "authorized retail store". Go to verizon corporation store so that you don't get charge for $50 for the set up fee. I compained and got one of charge refunded but the store manger is telling me I need to talk to Corp in order for me to get the second charge refund. Please, walk into this store if you'd like to get robbed. MISLEADING AND DECEPTIVE 1. This is NOT a Verizon store, it's Wireless Plus, which is clear here on Yelp but if you drive by it, which we did, you won't know. Everything, including the storefront and in-store signage, leads one to believe you are in Verizon. You'll only find out that it's Wireless Plus once you start signing paperwork and have spent hours there and are in a complete daze (we spent 4 hours one day, 3 hours the next to try to fix our issues) CAUTION: Any fees you pay in-store will be non-refundable and Verizon will not be able to assist you 2. If you sign up for service at this store, you will be charged all kinds of fees that Verizon DOES NOT CHARGE. You won't be told that these fees are non-refundable, you'll only be told that if you change your mind and purchased a device, you'll only have to pay a $50/phone restocking fee. The only fees Verizon charges you are $40/line activation fees which you will see on your next phone bill. Here's a breakdown of the fees they'll charge you in this store: -Ready, Set, Go: $19.99 - no idea what this is, never received an explanation -BULKSIM-TRI-A: $20.00 - this is for SIM cards, which is FREE through Verizon -Loyalty Program: $49.99/line - once I found out Verizon does not charge this, I spoke to the manager at this store who explained this is a fee for "helping" you set up your devices which supposedly Verizon does not do for you. They also said that even if you didn't want this service, you have no choice. You'll be charged either way for this either way. The manager tried to make me feel like they did us a huge favor. We spent a total of 7 HOURS of our lives in this damn store on the weekend to get robbed. 3. You'll be told that the next couple of billing cycles might be a little high (about $100 higher than normal), but that the promotion you signed up for will kick in after those cycles and you'll be credited for the extra amount you paid those months. What kind of backwards way of doing business is this and how can we be sure they're going to do what they said???? Not only was our next bill higher, it was over $200 higher than what we were told it was going to be. 4. If you have a problem and want to speak to a supervisor, the manager, Corey, will claim he's the highest up when in fact, he does have a boss. Anyone with a job has a boss. His boss' name is Nick but I've yet to hear from him. A legitimate company would have called me back within hours, if not the following day. Corey said he couldn't promise his boss would call me. CROOKS! 1. When we discovered that our next billing cycle was going to be over $500 for 3 lines, we ran back to the store the next day to return the new phones we purchased and downgrade our plan (which was nowhere near the very top premium plan). This is where we found out that allllll those fees they charged us originally are non-refundable, and we had to pay $50/phone restocking fee. 2. We returned 2 phones, meaning we should've been charged $100 restocking fees, but the employee made a mistake (which I discovered myself, not the employee), and charged us for 3 restocking fees for a total of $150. When he tried to refund the extra $50, he told us he was unable to do so and that we should call Verizon customer service to refund it no problem. Guess what? I called Verizon. They cannot refund what you paid in a Wireless Plus store - only Wireless Plus can do that. Why should we have to pay ANY restocking fees when we were deceived about the promotion package in the first place??? 3. After having Verizon review the account we signed up for, I found out a couple things: -Verizon Cloud service was added to our account at $2.99 a month for 2 lines. I didn't ask for this, was completely unaware of this, and definitely didn't need it when all have Apple iCloud. Verizon had to remove this manually. -Phone Insurance was also added to our account for 2 phones, which we were told was free for 14 days in the store. The Verizon rep had to manually remove this. It wasn't free, it's just a service you can cancel within 14 days. Most people will forget about this which is what they're hoping for. -When we returned to the store to downgrade our plan, we were told it was done on the spot that day. Verizon confirmed that nothing was changed and we still had 2 premium lines so they had to manually change it on their end. Verizon should not be doing business with this type of fraudulent company and there should definitely be a class action lawsuit against Wireless Plus. read more

Left that job and when contract with ATT was up went to switch back to Verizon. Long story short ATT did not make it easy and Mickey stayed with the rabbit hole of bureaucracy on his phone for nearly 2 hours until they got it right and at no time did he lose his cool. My fiancé and I are new to LA. We were looking for an iPhone 10. They had inventory so we quickly drove there. We spoke with Wes over the phone and worked with him in the store. We also had our initial interaction with Tony. He too, treated us with respect and courtesy. Incredible customer service! He was very honest, upfront, diligent, and made us feel like we were at home. End of day, long day I'm sure, yet he still maintained his enthusiasm and his willingness to assist us. It's hard to find quality customer service, especially in this state. We laughed, we talked, we did business. I will probably take the 30 minute drive there(1 hour+ in traffic) just because of his service, even with the 10 Verizon stores all with in 4 miles of where I live. This guy (Ilyas Khaliqi) sneaked a Hum device in my bag and set me up on a service without mentioning a word to me - I purchased 3 phones, so between boxes for the phones and other periphery I did not realize he had charged me for a Hum device and slipped it into my bag. He also charged $49.50 per phone for 3 phones for transfer services - but only transferred for one phone that I physically had with me (the other two phones were at home and he never touched them). Do not do business with this store. They are not a legit Verizon store. Shame on you. I had no cell phone service for the past day and was getting a little anxious. I had purchased an iphone on line from my current vendor. My old phone was having some issues so I went thru the process to activate my new iphone. I finished the process, but my phone would not activate. I contacted the old vendor and they attempted to troubleshoot, but still no activation. They then told me they could not activate the phone. I knew I had an account with Verizon, so I went to this store and was greeted by Luis Garcia and asked if he could activate my iphone. He got right on it, found my account and after some troubleshooting got me back on it. Then set up my iphone to be activated, but my old vendor had the phone locked. After some time and much discussion, the old vendor said they would send me an invoice to pay a fee to unlock the phone within 24 hours. After not hearing from them, I returned to Luis. He contacted the old vendor and was able to get them to send the invoice and unlock the phone. He did all this while waiting on other customers. He is very knowledgeable and has great customer service skills and patience. I would highly recommend him for any cell phone issues. read more

I was especially impressed with the help I received from Micky the manager. He took me under his wing and made sure all my needs where addressed in a timely fashion.
