Go to another Verizon store! This one needs to shut down. I'm stunned that corporate Verizon hasn't already closed it. The service and attitude are so bad that sales must be terrible. This is not the only Verizon store in Prescott. Find another one. If you just want to bang your head against a wall, go here. I have been in and out of this awful Verizon store several times, always waiting for long periods of time while the poorly trained and poorly supervised staff try to figure out Verizon. It's embarrassing. Really embarrassing. I now go elsewhere. I suggest you go elsewhere, too. It's worth the drive. I'm not bragging but I want to make a point. I have a double PhD in Information Technology and Management and have taught both subjects. I have worked for some of the most brilliant companies in the US and abroad. NEVER, have I ever seen such a poorly run store. I teach that positive climate in any organization starts at the top and trickles down. (See: In Search of Excellence: Lessons from America's Best Run Companies by Tom Peters) I worked for two of them. The management of this store, Ken and Rob, have dragged this store to the bottom--as many reviews point out. Below are some reasons why: The primary problem IS the management. Rob (Bob?) is a chubby, balding man who greets people, tidies the store, wanders and jabbers. He is a very poor manager. He should at least do triage (he won't know what that word means) at the door so people don't have to wait unnecessarily for hours. I'm sure that he will say, "It's company policy to do it this way." He should also help customers rather than talking and tidying up. I heard him tell one upset customer who had waited hours to be served that he needed to make himself available in case his "people" needed him. That's poop. As other frustrated reviewers said, "He needs to be let go." Ken, his supervisor, is invisible. There are cameras in the store, so corporate Verizon should be able to see what is going on and how many customers give up and walk out. Hello Verizon, that's money down the drain because of bad local management. Another problem is the sales peoples' and management's attitude.(Trickle down attitude) I hear sales people tell customers the same canned, trite nonsense repeatedly. (This is called Broken Record Training and is used to create the illusion of caring. I heard one sales person say to an uppity customer, "Respect gets respect." Wrong. Customers should be upset about bad service and bad sales people's attitudes. Respect is earned when a job is done well and when you provide intelligent interactions, knowledgeable service and apologies when they screw up. Another problem: The sale people are poorly trained. With technology sales positions, newbies can't be put on a sales floor and learn on the job. Training is key. Again, this is management's fault. Rob (Bob?) might troubleshoot if a sales person makes mistakes but he doesn't teach or take time to explain. He talks and tidies. Frankly, he should tidy himself. Another problem: The sales people's attitudes, laziness, and mistakes suck up customers' time. Bad. Bad. Bad. The sales people go somewhere in the back--to chat, gossip, whatever. Always sucking up customer time. Frustrated customers walk out. Bad. Bad. Bad. By the way, Rob/Bob,here's a tip: Don't help the young women who bat their big, fake eyelashes before those who have been waiting. Remember...there's a line. You created it. Another problem: The store doesn't have some of their newest merchandise in stock. Bad. /bad. Bad. Bald guy should constantly be checking inventory. Instead, he talks and tidies. Maybe he trusts corporate Verizon to parse sales, returns, inventory. Also not the best way to insure stock on hand. Expect agonizing waits at Christmas. Go elsewhere. Another problem: This store keeps its phone forwarded to a help center in India. Just hang up. Go to a different Verizon store. There are plenty in the Prescott area. They answer their phones. Note: Sales people are all on commission so they will try to upsell extra bologna that you don't need. No one at this store deserves a commission. They don't seem to understand a basic tenet of business. If the store doesn't thrive, they will be out of a job, and perhaps they should be. read more

My 80 yr old uncle and his wife had service through this store. His wife passed away and subsequently, a rep in the store told my uncle his bill seemed high. He then suggested my uncle go to a Total Wireless store nearby where his girlfriend works and that he would save money. I've spent two-hours trying to reach a Verizon person of authority, but they are very well-guarded from customers. Along the way, two CSR's have determined my uncle's wife [now deceased] is shown as the originator of their service agreement. Oddly in what seems like a breach of protocol, it appears the Verizon rep is listed as the account manager. Hence, he is the only one with access to this account as my uncle states he's never had a PIN. Very frustrating. read more

The Manager for this location is useless. As soon as he found out that the tablet I received as a so called PROMOTION was from a store in Mesa, he said he couldn't help me. I had several problems with my account, he couldn't/wouldn't try to resolve these issues either. My PROMOTION tablet, that I received for FREE, but have to pay for a new line $10 a month, and cannot remove from account for 36 months or I pay for the tablet, doesn't even work. I cannot get into it. It is asking for a passcode and I have no idea what that could be. Evidently, I was given a returned tablet and it was handed right back out to me. There wasn't a charging cord in the box or even a booklet. I have spoken to multiple customer service reps over the phone. No one has fixed anything yet. They told me to go to the Verizon on 69 in Presscott Valley and they can take care of everything. Nope!!! The Manager had no interest in helping me at all. He's very well trained to turn people away that are not buying another piece of junk from Verzon. I should be able to go to the Corporate location in my area, instead of driving 1 1/2 hrs to a different one to get assistancewith a Verizonproduct. I have been a customer for 18 hrs. Never have I had such bad customer service, products, and scams in all of the 18 years until now. I have a new number to call tomorrow. Wish me luck. If I could give negative stars I would. I was with Verizon for approximately 20 years. I had problems buying a phone 4 years in a row. So I switched to AT&T for two years and decided to try Verizon again. That was the worst decision I ever made. Verizon created TWO accounts for me. One has a negative balance the other had a nice credit balance. They sent the one with a ninety-six dollar bill to a COLLECTION agency! I have over three hundred in credits in my other account. I thought they would take anything I own out of the overpayments. I have worked with Verizon locally and even they cannot get this straight and have been trying since October. I am exhausted and sick and tired of the hours and hours spent on hold. At&T was wonderful compared to Verizon and I probably will go back to them when and if I ever get my credit straightened out. My credit dropped 111 points because some brain dead Verizon empolyee!! I would try Sprint or recommend AT&T but NOT Verizonwireless. read more

This location has THE BEST customer service, hands down! I had some troubles when we transferred NINE devices from T-Mobile to Verizon. My husband and I also pre-ordered the iPhone 11 Pro Max at the same time as switching. The transfer didn't go through properly. So I went into this location and yet again took up so much of their time. Ken is an amazing part of the Verizon team! He has an award winning personality. He takes the time to figure out any issues there may be. The day I had to take in all of our devices, including the new iPhones we had received in the mail that did not transfer properly... Ken stayed late to make sure our devices were set up fully and properly. He didn't rush it, even though he had plans that night that he missed because of us (which I felt horrible for), but he never made me feel bad about it. He is very educated on all the devices. He has been with Verizon for many many years. He knows his stuff that's for sure! And the manager is absolutely amazing. I also adore Rachel, who steps in and helps anytime with anything. I go into the store for any question and they immediately help me. The entire team at this location is just AWESOME! Even when we're stuck on something, like transferring nine lines to them lol, we have fun and goof around. I wish I could do something really special for the entire team. And for Ken, for always making time for us. I will never go anywhere else. This group is a great group. And usually that's because they have a really good manager (which they do), who knows how to pick a good team and keep them working together as a team. At this location, customers absolutely come first! And they will always get an answer for you, even if they personally don't know it. I HIGHLY recommend them! If I could give them more than five stars I would! Kudos to the entire team. After 16 months of minimal 1 bar service if that inside my residence we started, now 7 plus days in a row no bars no service. So, I went down in person to the PV Verizon store, Hwy 69 and the employee who greeted me reviewed the phone and said it was working fine, but should go home and order a network extender thru Verizon customer service. I did that and had to order one that costs $279. It arrived promptly by UPS in two days. However, up set up it came up with an error code 5A and did not work. Our cell phone -- no service. After numerous attempts at customer service to reach a real live person was just impossible. On line chat with Verizon that the Verizon employee at the store and the sales person in Verizon who sold us the extender were wrong. We have prepaid service and the extender is for people who postpay---wow! What a mess. We use the prepaid UPS return label and sent the device back on the 13th of Jan. read more

I will never use Verizon again. I got an early termination fee of $175 even though I wasn't under contract, but they tell me that I was when I deleted my tablet account. After having to pay $1,400 (phone and tablet) and now the phone is broke anyway after a few years, I still have to pay $175. NEVER AGAIN! Cell phone company ripoff for sure! Once again I had a bad experience at this Verizon location. I have had 4 or 5 bad experiences at this store. The employees are extremely rude and DISGUSTING in their attitude and their customer service. They are not helpful and make the experience frustrating with their "superior attitude" When I asked to speak to a manager Bryce became very snotty and demeaning. Please do not give this store your business. I have always had great service at a Verizon store until I came to this one. Whoever is in charge needs to do some serious staff cleaning out. As someone who has worked, and does work, in the customer service industry, I am usually very empathetic toward their position. However, I also realize when someone is just plain doing a crappy job and takes no pride in their work. I walked in on Friday, September 6th around 9:00am and was greeted by a short, brunette girl who looked to be around my age. When I asked her for help transferring a number from my broken phone onto a different one that was working, she checked my ID and the account, and told me that since my mommy was the main authority on the account, that she could not do anything for me. I have NEVER had this problem, on a few occasions, at three other Verizon stores and love the employees I have worked with in the past. They always found a solution, or at least made an attempt, and at least treated me with respect and consideration. In what customer service area is ANYONE with common sense or any decent training simply supposed to tell the customer that there is nothing they can do, end of story, and to basically go somewhere else. She had NO interest whatsoever in trying to help me solve my problem and acted like I was wasting her time. I told her in a polite way that I desperately needed the phone for work and business calls and she treated me like I was a child. I told her that I could give her ANY of the information on the account, including my mother's social and account password, and that if I could use a phone, I could call my mother and have her speak with her directly. The sales person is supposed to brainstorm and offer solutions, not the customer. She then told me I could do it myself if I really wanted to by dialing *228. While I was browsing phones, her and maybe 5 male associates were huddled around the counter flirting and complaining about customers. No one spoke to me. As an example, I overheard that apparently when customers call in asking the store's location, it is SUCH an annoyance to these employees. "It's like they want you to drop everything you're doing just to answer their stupid question that they could figure out themselves," he loudly said. Excuse me, but the last time I checked, that is what customer service is FOR. When customers are ridiculed for calling and asking a simple, normal business question, that is grounds for firing in my book. The phone was ringing off the hook and no one answered it because they were talking. Finally someone, a man, came up and told the group "someone pick up the phone!". The girl's response was "the caller i.d. says 'anonymous'". Are you kidding me? It should never be allowed to ring more than three times. In that time, a kind, older man came into the store with a problem with his phone. The girl treated him like he was a little boy: "actually, honey, your phone was just off and you need to press this button here to turn it on, see? Hold it for three seconds, okay? Count 1, 2, 3..." They treated me like crap, acted like an unprofessional little high school clique, gave no concern to my time-sensitive problem, were absolutely useless being there, and should absolutely be paid less to do what they're doing. Managers, if you're reading this, your staff needs a huge attitude adjustment and basic training on how to treat people respectfully. What an awful experience. I was so put off by it, that I am considering going into the store, finding out the names of everyone who was there, and calling their corporate. I can't say one single good thing about that store other than the girl who as there looked like she took more time on her hair that morning that she ever has with a customer. I am a Verizon customer and will be moving to the Prescott area, and if that is my only option for service, I will switch carriers. read more
