Verizon FiOS added perks to my account without my authorization. They have been billing the extra $10 every month. There is no way to reach a live person to change anything on my billing. I tried to set up callbacks, which are always 3 to 4 days later than the day I call, and either I don't receive the call or they call it different times when I am not available. I guess I have to drive to Albany, New York where my Bill goes to get this changed? I guess I will have to change Internet providers because this is ridiculous. read more

Spent 5 + hours at this store to get service - only to have it set up partially and incorrect. Mohammed was absolutely NO help. The associates were not prepared and not well trained to transfer service from X to V. Billing was not set up correctly causing bills to be inflated. Bogus charges added with a promise of coupons for greatly inflated prices on cables or cases. We still have not received these coupons. Finally, we were told that we could trade in unlocked phones and have not had any instruction or assistance with this. Highly incompetent and poor follow up service has me post this poor review and fully recommend searching elsewhere. read more

Before I have to deal with Verizon, I take a few hours to mentally prepare myself to be annoyed, frustrated, and disappointed. I talked with an online agent to disconnect my home wifi service 2 months in advanced of the disconnect day (6/30) just so they couldn't pull some timeline /deadline requirement. I was given an estimated bill and confirmation that my service was ending. I was also emailed three Verizon stores I could go to to return the router. The day my service ended, I drove to one of the locations they listed in their email...just for it to be a sushi restaurant. The Verizon store shut down a month ago apparently, but they still include it on their emails...ridiculous. I then went to the next closest location. The workers there aren't rude, but it's clear they don't care about the company or with assisting people with good service. I returned my router, but not before also getting wrongfully charged for this month's service...and when I asked for help, they said I needed to call customer service....which is about another 1-2 hour experience. I have spent too many hours on calls with Verizon these last two years. I will no longer be signing up for any Verizon plan and warn those who are thinking about it. read more

Working with the Fraud department now with Verizon. Quoted $125 for 5 business lines and ended up with a $500 plus bill plus taxes and fees. They also opened a fraudulent 202 line that we never used and we were charged for that as well. How can a company like this exist? read more

f I could give this store a zero rating I would. Went to pick up our phone that we ordered through Verizon and when we got there they told us the "brand new iPhone 16 pro" was glitching and wasn't working. They had a higher model that we then agreed to get for the additional cost. When they tried to sell my wife on additional Apple Music services and she pushed back on their aggressive sales tactics the owner told her that the phone that she was about to pay more for was no longer available. Telling her it was for "business" customers. He said that he was sorry that we "couldn't afford" to buy (the additional stuff that he was forcing on us). He continued to be rude and cancelled the order. The both the iPhone 16 that we originally ordered and the upgraded version are still listed on their website for all customers. while visiting my parents in md, my phone decided go on the fritz and the lcd display suddenly went dark...i wasn't even using my phone when this happened, and it had been operating just fine in the days prior. i freaked out and immediately drove to verizon to see whether my phone could be resuscitated...note that my iphone 6 was approaching 4 yrs, and already had two cracked-screen, an lcd, and battery replacements in the past year...my phone had been through a lot! fortunately, there was only 1 other customer in the store, so i didn't have to wait before darrell assisted me in assessing my situation. within a few seconds of examining my phone, he said that i'd need to take it to the apple store and spend upwards of $200 to have the lcd screen replaced. given that i'd already spent about $200 for the two cracked-screens, lcd & battery replacements, i did not want to spend another $200 on a phone that was not even worth $200 anymore (or $100 for that matter!) i immediately inquired about pricing for new phones, specifically the iphone 7 and 8. i appreciated how darrell broke down the pros and cons of each model, as well as pricing...nowadays, we pay for the phone in monthly installments for 24 months, in the past, we would pay the full-price (less any discounts) upfront. i didn't see the need to pay extra for the iphone 8, since the phones were virtually identical, at least, to me, so i opted for the 7. we immediately began the process of transferring my data, contacts, etc from my old phone to the new phone...fortunately, the old phone was still operational, despite a non-working lcd screen, so we could still conduct the transfer. it took over an hour to complete the process, but alas, i had a brand, new, operational phone, so i left a happy customer. after i got home, i had some issues with the phone charger, i tried it with the wall adapter as well as laptop adapter, and neither worked. the next day i went back to the store and explained the situation to another associate (forgot his name), and he immediately saw the problem, and swapped out the chargers, giving me a brand new charger, and letting me test it out before i left the store. fortunately, this one worked! despite the 2 separate visits, i was able to get a new phone, which is still operational, 1 1/2 months later. thank you darrell and team for helping me with this long transaction! read more

During his visit they took his information and lied to him regarding his account. They said we would receive a discount and screwed us over. Went there to upgrade to a iPhone 12. As they were setting it up they put a screen protector on it. And as I went to leave they put a charging block in my bag. Then they said the printer wasn't working for a receipt. Glad I waited for a receipt. They charged me $35 for the block charger and $50 for the screen protector without ever asking me If I wanted either. I thought it came with the phone until I got to the car and looked at my bill. They also misled our nanny into getting a supposedly free phone that turned out not to be at all. read more

This place deserves a 0 star. I WAITED 3.5 hours to get a basic phone upgrade. Completely Incompetent. AVOID THIS PLACE AND WAYNE WHITE, and go immediately to the real Verizon store at Rockville Pike. My biggest mistake was not reading these Yelp reviews earlier. It took them 20 minutes to look up the promotion in my account. It took them 4 calls to their Solutions Center and Verizon to get the transaction in the system correct which took 2 hours. Wayne White didn't enter in the correct promotion, price, and discount twice in a row, which took another hour to cancel and redo. They could not activate my phone. They could not transfer my contacts. They didn't even have a case for my phone and had to order it. There is nothing competent and possible in this place. I would be shocked if they could sell a phone charger without taking 1 hour. The REVIEWS HERE ARE ALL correct. I had to call Verizon and complain about this store and they confirmed that it was a mess here. They gave me a $25 credit to cover for the disgraceful $20 that they charged me for their set up. When I called to talk to the manager a week later, he brushed off my concerns. To hell with this place - it should shut down immediately. read more

In my humble opinion, this Verizon store (14937-C Shady Grove Rd) SUCKS ASS! I came in to see if they could clear up some group messaging issues I've been having. Once the sales person learned I had an unlocked Nexus 6p phone and I wasn't here to purchase a new phone or accessories, I could see in his demeanor and body language that he was no longer interested in providing any assistance. All he said was, "Google it and see if you can find an answer." If you look at my past reviews, I'm more than generous in my ratings. I really have to be pissed off to give a one-star rating. This dude had no interest in helping. My advice is this; stay the hell away from this store and stick with a Verizon corporate store. This place is a joke and no better than a third-rate mall kiosk run & managed by gum smacking, Pokemon playing, runny-nose, Millennials. I hate for people to lose their jobs, but in this case, it wouldn't be a bad thing if this store just up and died. Argh. I want 0 stars. Actually, I want negative stars. Since Yelp doesn't do that, let me make this easy. They suck. They are dishonest, money-leeching salespeople who don't give a damn if you get what you are looking for. For this review, this reviewer gives NEGATIVE 5 STARS. 1) This place does nothing but resell Verizon Wireless (VZW) stuff. This maybe should have been obvious to me, but they appear to mark up the exact same thing you can get at a VZW store. Just go to a VZW store. Avoid the ones in the malls, find one in a strip shopping center, much less crowded. 2) Limited selection. Really, they don't have as many phones displayed as a real VZW store does. You can't tell that, though, unless you go to a VZW store and compare. 3) They were more interesting in selling the phone than explaining the plans. Why the spewing of the bile? Let me tell you. Family plan,3 lines total. Wanted to upgrade all 3 phones. While I lust after an Iphone, swallowing the monthly fees is just not in the cards. I told the sales girl up front that I was looking for a phone that could sync w/ a Mac. She makes a phone call to *someone* who tells her that yes, the LG Voyager does sync to a Mac, even though there is absolutely no indication of such in the manual. Nor is there any indication that ANY VZW phone syncs with a Mac. I was skeptical, should have listened to my inner voice telling me to pass. Get home, find out that yes, Virginia, it does NOT sync to a Mac. Plenty of web forums confirm this. I go back the next day with all of the previous days purchases, and ask the guy (new person, wasn't there the day before) to return everything, and put the cell plan back to the way it was. After informing him that I would not be paying any sort of restocking fee due to the fact that the salesperson lied, or was given bad information, he gave me all of my money back, and reset the cell plan back to the way it was. When he was finished, he mentioned that, "Yeah, none of the VZW phones talk to Macs. Period." He then held up an Iphone, plugged into to a charger, and said "Yep, I have 2 phones; 1 for work, and one I actually use." In the end, I was more than a little frustrated, after plunking down more than $500 for 3 phones & accessories (goddamn mail in rebates. I hate 'em). Got my money back. Went to a real VZW store this past Friday, ended up shelling out $200, got new phones, much better staff to work with, and overall a better experience. What a giant clusterfuck. Cell phone service is just a giant scam to separate you from your money. These guys really feed into the bad salesperson stereotypes, too. read more

Wow. Dishonesty lives here. These guys have no social etiquette, and quite honestly seem to enjoy pissing people off. Read all the other reviews here. It's a common theme. The staff is antagonistic, and rude. Everyone who works here is so angry. Thanks to my unpleasant experience, I was ready to leave Verizon for good. Come to find out this is not even a corporate store, so it's a free for all. Two salesman could not turn on the overpriced cell phone sold to me. The other didn't know how to sign me up for new service. When I asked for a refund, they were accusatory, defensive and inappropriate. It was to the point where it made me uncomfortable and unsafe. To make matters worse, I was forced to return the next day see the "manager" because the staff could not process a simple refund. Such a waste of time. I was sold a cell phone for $150 more than the website listing. My-bad. There's a $75 restock fee with returns. The nightmare just needed to end. The manager was particularly offensive, so it's no surprise that the employees are that way too. This is where the customer is always wrong and the staff is always right. Long story short.. don't go to this place to get any kind of Verizon service. I wanted to get a new line along with iPhone 7. I had to visit the store 3 times and waited for 4 hours just to get a new line and order a new phone. Once I was directed to fax my SSN and other details to a random verizon fax number given on a piece of paper. When I refused to do that, they asked me to come when the manager is there. Manager confirmed the store has the capability to scan details. LIARS! There were customers who came after us and were served before us (I don't know which company has this type of policy). My phone was supposed to arrive in more than a month's time and I was told I would get a call from them once it arrives. I patiently waited for 3 days more from the due date but didn't receive a call from them. I went to their store and they told me the iPhone hasn't arrived for me because there ISN'T any order placed on verizon site. They did have 2 iPhones but they couldn't give it to me and asked me to come back in an hour when the manager comes in (they asked me if I lived near by to conclude I should be able to come back because ofcourse, I have entire day to come to this place) HORRIBLE COSTUMER SERVICE! I went back to get the order cancelled because I decided to keep my att connection since they pissed me off with their service. They said they can't cancel my order and refund my money (a really small amount) in absence of their manager. SLOW CLAPS! IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. The WORST customer service I have ever received in MY LIFE. The store was crowded and when I got there and I told the gentleman my problem. He insisted I call tech support, which I tried to do the day before for 4 hours. I just switched from ATT, but I have never had any issue Like this ever with any other carrier but Verizon. Not only was the employee not wearing a mask, when another customer asked where his mask was he replied "it's in the back." Once the store cleared out, he left me on hold with tech support and went into the back room for over 30 minutes. All told, a frustrating, bewildering customer service experience. 1. The staff member wrote my name incorrectly in the Verizon system. Verizon customer service could not fix it. The store itself could not fix it, and directed me to another location. An hour to get this fixed. 2. The salesperson who made the mistake seemed annoyed I wanted to buy a plan there, then aggressively asked me, twice, if there was any reason he would not get ten stars in a customer satisfaction survey. 3. Please ignore the old reviews! This site is under new management - I can see why the old owner/salespeople left - they were obviously awful. But the NEW place is great! Go when Brian is there, he was amazing and got us completely set up on our new iPhones and was able to give us discounts on accessories. Absolutely NO pushiness for stuff we didn't need - he tried hard to make sure we got the best service package for what we needed at the lowest price. He made sure all our questions were answered. I'm sure he knows more about Verizon's plans than Verizon does. I become a new customer for Verizon. I came in to pick up my phone since they didn't have the phone in stock. I wasn't greeted but told it would be a "moment". After, an hour and no one came to let me know they haven't forgotten me I had become frustrated and I approached them. Steve (he introduced himself to the customer before me) was not welcoming me at all. He was able to complete my transaction in 10 mins, but took 60 mins with the customer before me. He didn't offer me any case or screen for my new phone or even bother to ask me if my phone was working fine as he did to his prior customer. I left the store disgusted and on my way out it was his other co-worker wished me and my mom a good day. NEVER again!! Stay away from this store altogether. They have the worse customer service. The sales lady I spoke with was extremely overbearing and pushy. I went in looking to upgrade my phone and I already knew the one I wanted. I told her which one I wanted but she started pushing other phones on me and brought some out from the back. After asking some more, she finally told me they were out of the phone I wanted. Then she tried pushing iphones on me. She asked me questions like "Why don't you want another iphone? Why do you want a droid phone? Why don't you want to buy a protection plan? Why exactly do you want that phone?" It was very uncomfortable the way she questioned me on everything I either wanted or did not want in that store. I was in there about 5 minutes and could not stand talking to her any more, so I left and will not be going back. read more

The most horrible customer service ever. We went into the store about 15 minutes before closing and the gentleman at the front desk could not be more obvious about how displeased he was. He was on the phone and clearly irritated that there were customers in the store seeking help. I was trying to have my mom's contacts from an old phone transferred over to her new iPhone. Today will have been my 4th experience at this particular store within the last 14 - 15 months.... I WAS NOT greeted by what appeared to be the only rep available, in spite of the sounds of talking in the back area of the store. He was clearly confusing those customers he was 'helping' and the woman actually had her head on the table and looked at me as if to say "save yourself". The gentleman with her was frustrated as well. I waited exactly 15 minutes to be greeted, acknowledged or in anyway recognized as a customer. He showed he cared about his customer concerns and spent a lot of time explaining things to us. I went into this store because I needed to upgrade my phone. The two sales people in the store knew a lot about each phone that I was looking at and could explain features that the people at the Bethesda Verizon did not know. I typically do not care to write a review, but what I saw them doing was fairly impressive to me as I also work in a customer service type job. While I was getting my new phone setup, the other salesman was helping an older gentleman with his new iphone. He was incredibly patient with him while he was explaining how to setup his personal email, going through every single app on the phone and just being incredibly nice to him. It is a rather small store and not very busy at 7pm. I would absolutely go back in for any help I need in the future. I would give 0 stars if i could. When Verizon could not figure out why my iphone was not ringing they told me to go to a Verizon store. I came in to the this Rockville Fallsgrove store to ask why my iphone was not ringing. They refused to look at the phone to help me figre out what was wrong. Instead they told me to call Verizon again. Even when I told them that Vertizon had told me by phone to come in person they would not even look at it. I called Verizon again and after talking with 4 people they figured out it was a simple problem with a setting. Why couldn't this store have figured at least TRIED to figure this out? I felt verbally attacked and threatened by Sam and Kevin when I spoke to them on the phone today. I came to this location to disconnect an old line and add a new line. Sam, Kevin and Darrell failed to communicate that in order to fully disconnect a line we would need to call customer care. 2 months later we get a Bill for nearly $300 more than what we were told the bill was going to be. When I contacted the store about the issue and waited for an hour and a half to get in touch with someone, Sam was not helpful and had an extremely aggressive attitude on the phone. After he failed to assist with the mistake that was his issue to begin with he hung up on me. Due to this interaction we are now considering going to any other service provider. read more

Unfortunately, what more can be said about this store and their personnel than what has already been said in the prior reviews. The gentleman who was in the store this morning was both a bad salesperson and bad person (I dont know if the person I was speaking to was the owner, manager or an employee). I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years. After recently dropping my wife off at work, my phone died while I was trying to find a nearby windshield replacement store since the windshield was cracked during that drive by a rock (I am not familiar with the area). I asked politely if I could borrow a charger because I was lost. He said "no," but said I can buy one. I responded I really don't need a phone charger and I would appreciate it if he could let me borrow the store's just until the phone came back on (I was obviously willing to leave my phone there while it charged and no one was in the store). He said "I'm in business to make money, not loan stuff out to people." In this sentence he proved himself to be both a bad person and a bad salesman. I will obviously never purchase anything from this store nor while I recommend this store. Verizon should be embarrassed that it affiliated with this place. As much as I liked buying from them in the first place because they are no lines, that's all they they do. When my Droid Pro broke, they sent me to the corporate Verizon store eventhough they were responsible for replacing it with the new phone in the first 30 days. Corporate store couldn't do anything becasue I got it at the "third party" so I was caught between the loops. Corporate eventually gave me a "refurbished" phone and I am still yet to see if it works. It's pretty outrageous when you spend over $200 on a phone but when it breaks two weeks later, nobody wants to take responsibility for it. I was penalized for purchasing my phone not at the Verizon Corporate but a "third party" store. Verizon doesn't treat you the same if you don't buy directly from hem. And My Cell seems to care less wheather to go back there or not. I definiately won't be back there. Don't buy phones there - they are not helpful at all once time comes to fix a problem. They can't or don't want to help you at all. They are only good at selling the products - don't stand behind them.
