I would like to warn people that when you go in and they transfer info they are pulling up old emails to the tune of 30,000 and google is saying it is data and charging for it. They pulled more than 80 dollars from my account and when I asked they said I have to delete all 30000 decades old emails!!!!!!! SERIOUSLy? We went to the Verizon store today in Round Rock. We have used Verizon's services for our household for 21 years and have always had good service. But the store that opened in Round Rock - we've only been going to for about 7 or 8 years. Went today because my husband's phone battery seemed to be running out of charge more than it should be...but it WAS about 7 years old. Worked with Josh and we had an amazing experience. We thought it just needed a new battery but my husband got a new phone cheaper than he would have to buy a new battery for his old one. Josh took care of all of the transfers of his old data to the new phone. It did take some time but it was absolutely no hassle for us. Could not have asked for a better experience. read more

I stopped into this Verizon location at 9 o'clock, as soon as the store opened, this morning. I needed to replace a small Wi-Fi jet pack. As soon as I walked through the door the employee asked me if I was there for an express pick up. I stated no that I needed to buy a new device. He immediately told me that I was parked in one of the Xpress pick up slots. I turned and looked at the parking lot and noted that I was the only one in the parking lot. I commented that space must be at a very big premium if that was a big deal. He stated that it was and asked me to back into another slot. I mentioned that I needed to replace my device, and he would not even get up out of his chair to look at it. He just stated it look like it needed a new battery and sent me to a battery store. I've been a Verizon customer for better than 15 years. I've rarely used this location but opted for it today as it opened earlier than the others. My last experience at the store wasn't great either. This will be the last time I ever visit that store in particular. Cell phone service is starting to even out more across all the companies. My Verizon service in particular hasn't been that great for the last six months. Experiences like this makes me rethink whether I need to continue to give my business to Verizon. Customer service means a lot to most people. This was one of the worst examples of how to treat a customer. read more

There's certain things you'll only do for someone you really care for: - drive them to/from the airport, - help them move, - pet-sit, - bring them home from oral surgery, or - go with them to their cell phone store. When my wife had to swap her business' existing broken phone with a new one, I was volunteered to go with her. When we walked in, I looked for the place to sign-in, and she was already talking to store manager Ron. He will probably never be described as an excitable fellow, but he was friendly enough and efficient. We were interrupted by a question from one of his staff, but since she was cute, I was ok with it. And then, less than 5 minutes after walking in, we were done. Honestly, it took longer to get her new phone going than it took us to get our boba teas the night before. It was so quick, I wasn't even there long enough to remember to check-in. Why is it that 2 employees, even the store manager, thinks they are doing you a favor by coming into their store? I guess b/c they know they got ya by the balls. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for years. Had problems with my original phone, and wanted to inquire about a new one. I had it narrowed down to 2. So "M" comes over and I say "what is the main differences between these 2 models"....and he rudely replies "what it says right there on the sign". Really? Ya dude, I know how to read! I was asking you to SIMPLIFY and SUMMARIZE- you know- that job requirement called "friendly customer service"! He acted like every question I had was a dumb one. I will never go into this store again. I was prepared to buy a few accessories but not here. Note to people in the customer service business- it is your JOB to freely offer and answer questions, and do so in such a way that will make for a good experience. Im a nurse. When you are my patient, I realize you probably know nothing- so I am happy to DO MY JOB and explain, in a way you can understand, everything you ask. This location has been very helpful, and I have always had success in getting what I need. I will continue to use this location for the foreseeable future because it's the best Verizon location I have ever been to. The staff is great and always helpful! The only drawback is the standard system Verizon uses in all stores of making you sign in and stand around. Worst customer service experience I have ever had! First and last time I upgrade or do any type of business with a corporate store. I pay over 400$ a month to Verizon and to be treated like I don't matter is insane. I got "scammed" on a bogus promotion and when I wanted to swap phones because my wife didn't care for the iPhone, they were unwilling to assist due to the way the associate wrung up the transaction. Great store, fast service! I would recommend this Verizon store. I needed to get a new phone because I was on my 5th Motorola Droid Turbo 2. It stopped charging and I had to have one same day. The rep Alkia offered to have one shipped ASAP under warranty but I had enough of the Droid Motorola. He sold me and my fiancé on the Google Pixel 2. Everything was transferred over in store and he gave us some cool tips. read more

I purchased for my mom 8 months ago a Wireless Home Based Phone. She passed away recently whereby I returned the phone (to Verizon (I had a 24 month contract) to explain that I didn't need the phone any longer due to my moms passing away. The Store Manager said she was sorry to learn of my moms death, then went into her office and came back out to say do not worry about the 2 year contract, as Verizon as a company would not charge me any Early Termination Fee due to this situation. I was so impressed and thankful that I switched my wireless service from AT&T to Verizon. The service and coverage area is unbelievable compared to AT&T. So glad I switched and glad to know there is a company which values its customers. read more

All I had to do was pick up a phone and pay. No one checked anyone in until there were 4-5 more people after me. The guy should have checked me in when I walked in but was completely lazy about it. Nasty, manipulative manager and staff. So we needed a new phone, and had had some issues with verizon in the past. We spoke with one guy who wears a brown football jersey on weekends. He was okay, but basically couldn't get approval to really solve our problems. We shopped around and came back. Basically I think what goes on here is that the manager is pretty sketch, and he pressures employees to sell you on "free" devices, that cost you later when they don't work, but you have to keep the line for 2 years. He is shady, and sits to the side while you talk to a rep, basically eavesdropping, and then will come in at the end and try to get hooks into you regarding the upsell of some device or service in "exchange" for what you want, but it won't really help you. We witnessed this approach twice. The second rep we talked to was super condescending, and I didn't appreciate the way he spoke to my wife. He too was sketchy, and he would try to hide when he was being judgemental amd manipulative, but it was obvious. End of the day, we took Sprint's offer to buy us out. We found out a verizon rep at another location had also lied to us, and just had enough. Sprint wanted our business to the tune of $450 in buyouts, these guys wanted $80 of our money on a remaining line for a device that had never worked, amd were essentially willing to offer absolutely nothing to either entice us to stay or to make up for ripping us off in the past, so there you go. read more

I usually only review if I have an exceptionally good or bad experience, and I had an exceptionally good one today. I hate cell phone stores as all the upselling and high pressure sales is a pain to deal with. Today, I was helped by Zaira Perez at the Round Rock Verizon store and it was painless, informative, and she genuinely met my needs, even agreeing we should hold off a new contract for a few months as now wasn't the best time. I'll be returning in a few months to deal with her again. For as bad as cell phone stores can get, this experience was a pleasant breath of fresh air. read more

Went there for a simple warranty replacement request. They claimed there is water damage to my phone when my phone has never been exposed to water. Refused to send my phone in to have their service center look at the electronics and other internal water sensors. Time to switch carriers. read more

We won't be returning to this Verizon location again. I bought a new iPhone a few weeks ago with a tempered glass display protector. One of the salesmen, Andre, said it came with a 30 day warranty "in case anything happens." Well we left the store and I got home to find a tiny crack on the glass protector. You couldn't see it but could feel it. A few weeks later that crack spread to a big crack. Still in the 30 day warranty we went into the store to get a new protector. Well Andre now says the warranty only covers things like bubbles, which he never told us when selling us the protector. He did talk to the manager and said they could give us a discount but was adamant he never told us the warranty applied "in case anything happens" and instead was accusing us of lying. They will try to oversell you on everything any make your overall process very frustrating. This goes double for their management staff which is unacceptable. Avoid this store at all costs. Our company used to have a "guy" who handled our account and was really helpful. So when I was having trouble with my new phone I took it in there and asked for help with getting the info from the old phone to the new phone. Not only was the girl helping me very condescending and smartass to me , treating me as if I was a feeble minded person (I am 42), the other two would talk crap about the customers after they left in front of me and the other customer they were doing their best not to help. They are always busy but patient so when it is your turn you get their full attention. Had a few issues - ugh, thanks authorized retailers - so had to hit up a store. Was with my boss, who does NOT handle stress well, and Krystal was somehow magically able to keep him calm and in a happy mood for about 99% of the trip. It was amazing. She and Nick took good care of us even tho we were confused by the new changeover from prepaid plans for tablets to their share everything plans. (Boo for extra $10 fee if you're solo on a plan, though!) She was very personable and blended right in with our personalities. I don't come on Yelp very often. When I logged on today I found that I had received a message after a previous review about a year ago. My previous review explained that the employees of this Verizon store had called me to accuse me of theft after I bought a new phone. The message I received from Corporate Verizon says: "I apologize... Were you able to locate the phone to ensure the store has it? Do you know for sure the old phone was given over to the store or has it been given back prior to my reply? Do you need further assistance? Please send me a private message with this information and include your mobile number and your account verification information along with the assistance you request." Are you kidding me?! First, I am accused by Verizon employees of stealing a phone. Then, after leaving a one-star Yelp review, a corporate Verizon employee sends me a private message based on the presumption that I really did steal the phone. I did not take the device out of the store. I was not able to locate the phone, because I LEFT IT AT THE STORE. Please stop it. read more

Went here Friday the day they "released"(I use that term lightly lol It's like they only had 500 phones in stock for the whole nation) the new iPhone 5s in hopes of scoring one for me and one for my hubby. It was a bummer for me though because they didn't have the phone I wanted in stock (champagne gold) but they did have the graphite one for the man so that was a plus. The woman who helped us, Elizabeth, was helpful in ordering my phone for me and getting us all set up. She made sure all of our questions were answered. Went to do a simple pickup of a SIM card I ordered online for a BYOD phone as I was coming back to VZW after having to leave for a bit. Got there and walked in, guy immediately barked I needed to go outside and wait...ok there was a sign so my bad, but still didn't need bark at me. So he came out, checked me in and said there were 4 people ahead of me....ok so I waited and waited and waited. He came out to check someone else in a told me I was next even though still was another 20 mins until they called my name. Total wait time was hour and 20 mins before they called my name to take care of something that took 3 mins to resolve! While I waited, I saw some people get checked in and have to wait, but during the same time I saw people drive in to the lot walk up and go inside. Maybe they were on the wait list but the impression it gave was that they were making some people wait and others seemed to be able to walk in and be helped. Grace came out to call my name and she did apologize for the wait, that they were being slammed....she was great and took care of what needed to be done but the other guy never once got an apology out of. Seems their service is still subpar, so that tells me the 800# probably won't be any better if I need to talk to them. Only reason I came back is their network is great, but service still sucks. read more

I am a long time customer of this location and have had awesome service for years. The staff is very knowledgeable and insightful without being pushy. My past 2 visits, however, there was some interaction with a manager named Rick, I believe. He seemed extremely put off at any inquiry from an employee or customer during my hour long visit, as if he was being burdened by questions, although he wasn't busy. I made an appointment since the store was busy with a major phone recall and a different phone release, and I waited only 5 minutes until someone could help me. I was returning a recalled phone for a full refund. Part of the return transaction could not be performed at that time, and required a manager's approval which would be later in the day. Of course I was worried that such exception activity would be lost in the shuffle, but Michael K. assured me he would get the refund processed. I verified the account the next day, and Michael was true to his word. The staff was busy, but they were calm and professional. I had a good experience at this store. read more
