Since the last time I've been here the entire management has changed. The new staff is MUCH better than the previous. They helped my entire family upgrade to the latest iPhones and transferred all their data without issues. They even broke down the bill so I won't have any surprises which I really appreciated. these guys are great. ALL cell services. face it, suck. These guys KNOW 90% of all customers that walk through the door are NOT happy. I feel like they look for a way to make you happy. Stephen is great... Just go in expecting good and it will happen...be patient. Got my phone upgraded, yes had to add a line but the last time I was in they got my bill lowered by $30.00 a month. I figure its a wash at this point...I have dealt with them for 2 years and have to say, they have kept me happy when I wanted to cancel my contract. read more

Beware of major "up selling" here. Be very careful if you get sold on any "promotional packages" that are going to save you this and save you that. Make sure you know EXACTLY what you are getting and at what costs (upfront, recurring, non-recurring, monthly, etc.)... wow, tricky.... These guys are smooth talkers in there and you'll end up leaving with what sounds like a good deal but you will pay and then it will be a nightmare to try and fix it back. Caution. read more

All of the associates in the store were great! As soon as I walked in the door they made sure that I was tended to, even though they were busy. Which I greatly appreciated. I believe I was helped by the store manager, he was very knowledgeable about their deals and was able to save me money. He also made sure "everything" from my old phone transferred to my new phone with ease. (including my memos!) He also made sure I knew that all of my old data was removed once the transfer was done. I have had an over heating issue with my galaxy s7 since day one. I tried to file an insurance claim, but was told since it was an overheating issue that it was a manufacturer defect and I need to contact the making company. Because it wasn't that big of an issue I let it go and 8 months later my phone screen is now shattered from overheating because the glass cannot withstand the heat and again am unable to just pay the $200 Insurance fee to get a new phone and now have to jump through hoops to be able to get a new phone. read more

Had to replace the wife's phone today. I typically avoid Verizon "premium retailers" due to the fact that stuff usually shows up on your bill that you didn't order like "total mobile protection" or you get swindled.....not sold on something else. There is a difference between building value in a product or service and offering it to your customers in a persuasive manner vs just sneaking it on to their account without even mentioning it to them. Man up and be a salesman not a cowardly clerk. Long story short the service that was not even presented as an option or mentioned during the transaction has been removed from my account only hours after the transaction. I get it, apple margins suck and it's likely an unprofitable transaction with no attachment sale but that shouldn't give you the right to steal. This store is located on El Camino Real in downtown San Clemente. they have a very small parking lot but once you get in, they are helpful and very patient! I haven't been into a verizon store in years but I have been a verizon customer for over 10 years now and have usually been well taken care of, and this is the one closest to my parents house in San Clemente. The guy who helped us (i wish I remembered his name) spent about an hour with my mom and I.....my mom ordered a new iphone7, and so she had all her stuff transferred from her iPhone 6 to her new phone....then i had everything on my OLD, about to break iphone5 transferred onto her iphone6.....after all was said and done, it was about an hour to activate everything and transfer it all, and he was so patient and helpful. Yes, he did try to sell my mom 2 new tablets for her account and said it would be free, just pay an activation fee, which we declined because we use AT&T data for an iPad. For those who don't like to be sold to, what do you expect? They're in a sales position. It's their job to try to sell phones and tablets and get people to get new things....They also had a wide variety of cases and accessories for all verizon phones. The store was clean, and they didn't have a long wait like some stores do. Glad that this is the local store and the employees are helpful. read more

Customer service in this store is some of the best I've seen in a while. Sierra was able to actually save me some money which was great! I wish I could give zero stars. These guys are so so so shady and complete crooks. They gave me a jet pack and told me it was "free." Then I find out later that they just changed my bill to a lower amount when they upgraded my plan, and then tacked on $20 for the "free" jet pack - my bill never changed, so I never looked into it. When I found out later after really looking at my bill, I tried to cancel letting them know I never wanted the jet pack in the first place. After taking $20 a month from me for over a year, all I asked for is a termination of my contract for the jet pack, and they want to charge me an early termination fee - FOR SOMETHING I DIDN'T EVEN WANT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Something they told me was FREE! I feel like these guys flat out stole from me. Because of this store, I will be terminating my contract. I have been a loyal customer to Verizon for over 10 years. Never missing a payment. EVER. And this is how they show their customer appreciation. read more

I have visited this location twice, and both times I have walked out frustrated without a solution. The employees working there passed me around like a hot potato. They were more concerned with the food they had available, and their smoking habits than helping me with the malfunctioning phone I possessed. I'm a very positive person, however I must let the public know that this verizon store is by far the worst retail experience I've ever had!!! The people there, christa, lied to us to get her sale!! They will sell ice to Eskimos... If I were you I would go out to your car and call Verizon's 800 number and verify what the staff inside is telling you!! But beware of the parking too, if you park next to the store you will be towed!! (The spots are marked and are NOT for verizon customers) we thought it was a "run-in real quick" situation! Again, the staff here is very friendly, but beware it's a front!! They are happy because they are making additional money off you, not because they are genuine! I am in sales and I'm all for the sales person to make a little money, and myself, as the customer to get a good deal... This is NOT the case here! I agree with the review below I wish there was a zero. On my 1st experience they told me I was getting a brand new model HTC. When I had problems the next month and went to a corporate store they asked if I was turning it in because it was obsolete and refurbished. This week I stopped on because my new HTC froze over the weekend - they preceded to tell me it was broken and that they could save me money by selling me a new phone and not using my insurance. I went to a corporate store and they looked at my phone and reset it in 5 min. YEAH for corporate locations. The Verizon 4g stores in San Clemente are franchise and don't follow Verizon corporate standards for pricing and training. It's worth the time to drive to a corporate one or work with the online team. These San Clemente guys are crooks. read more

Horrible experience. Went in to upgrade my daughters phone for Xmas last December. It took me hours to get everything handled. Corey said the only insurance I could buy was a prepaid one for $199 for two years. He did not give me a contract or any other info except the name of the company. When it comes to needing to use the insurance for a lost phone, it turns out there is a $150 deductible. Hmm, let me see, $199 plus the $150 - I would have taken my chances on no insurance since I could almost buy a new phone for that. The deductible was never mentioned to me, oh and by the way, on the ProtectCELL insurance website they list the two year coverage I bought for only $119. - $80 less than I was charged. When I talked to Corey today he said come on down to the store to see the sign they have displayed regarding the insurance. Thanks for your help Corey. How about at least refunding 14 months of the prepaid insurance that I have no phone to use with! I DO NOT recommend this place. read more

This store doesn't even deserve a star. I would not do business in this store. They do shady things on your account without telling you. Then you sign what they say they sold you and then you find out later that is not what they did. They put a second line on my phone without me even knowing it. Then the iPhone they sold me broke in 3 months while I was traveling for work. Went to several Verizon's where I was told the store I purchased my phone with was not a real Verizon store and they couldn't do anything to help, even though I bought a warranty. Took it to apple and they said parts on this phone are not real apple iPhone parts. They said the phone was taken apart and put back together with other parts. Left Verizon after over a decade of being a customer and brought a dozen family members over. After the Verizon stores wouldn't help me I stopped services. In the last month I've learned that the second number that I told Verizon after my first bill I didn't know this number or why it was on my account....was never taken off, even after a manager told me they personally fixed my account. Now they are charging me an early termination for a number I didn't even know was put on my account. It gets worst-now they are charging me for the phone and their collections office charged my credit card without even telling me. So now I've been charged for an iPhone that wasn't really an iPhone that broke in 3 months of purchase without the warranty working because I did not buy my phone from a real Verizon store and the real Verizon store couldn't honor it. Be careful working with this store-i was a good customer who believed this store was selling me a real iPhone on my account that I held for years. First time iPhone customer and this not real Verizon store has left me missing over 20 hours of life while on the phone trying to get this fixed, twice rude/disrespectful customer service people bringing me to tears, and this store/corporate office making almost 1000.00 off of me and that doesn't include the early termination fee for a line I don't even know the number for. Take your business to at least a real Verizon store. read more

Dishonest. Was sold a device called Hum. I really did not need the device (auto diagnostic tool) but it was (mis) represented that this was free, full credit for the purchase and no monthly charge as Verizon would offset the charge with a credit. This was blatantly false, and the sales person plainly knew it was false. Fortunately (for them), Verizon credited my account for all the charges and waived the "early contract termination fee" (another key fact that was never disclosed). Never will I patronize this non-corporate Verizon store and may in fact, never patronize a non-corporate store again. Beware. read more

Fraud! Fraud! Fraud! They are liars and will deceive you to purchase a phone or trade in and then claim otherwise later. NO NOT USE THIS STORE TO DEAL WITH VERIZON!!! My fiance and I went there two weeks ago to add her to the account and trade in her old AT&T Apple 7 phone and buy a new Apple 8 on Verizon. The trade in was worth $340 and Verizon was running a sale of $300 off phones. The salesman and I specifically went over the entire deal more than once where we traded in the phone for a $340 one time credit (when I could have gotten more on Ebay...even after the ripoff 10% fee they charge) AND I would also get the $300 Verizon credit off my bill over the 24 months that I was charged for the phone. Now it turns out only the higher of the two was actually given to me, meaning he very clearly deceived me by not telling me that (and even making me fully believe I was getting both) and I was cheated out of $300 and deceived into buying the new phone (which I really didn't need) and using them to purchase the phone and change my service. So these swindlers not only get the sale but they made a bunch of money selling my old phone. When I called to discuss it, the manager was completely dismissive and aloof and was unable and unwilling to do anything and even said his boss (the corporation who owns the store) wouldn't bother to call me to discuss it. Horrible business practices. I usually read Yelp reviews but thought this was a respectable real Verizon store (it turns out it is a third party run "authorized" retailer) and did not this time...now I go on Yelp and find out there were many more before me who got swindled in a similar way. Stay far away from this place...Verizon has enough stores you don't need to use this one. read more

I was at lunch with my daughter across the street and needed a car charger to use my directions on my phone on the way home so I stopped in to pick one up. Five minutes later A gentleman named Mason saved me money monthly and I was able to get my daughter a tablet for car rides!! My hubby was one happy camper when I got home! We sent the store a few pizzas yesterday as a thank you. Mason was quick and to the point. He didn't waist my time nor money. Very pleased with his customer service. He was focused on what made the customer happy not what made Verizon happy. It's not everyday you see that. read more
