I came in today 12/6/2020 at 11:20am. I am going to start by saying I am a business customer with verizon. and i drove about 40 minutes to get to the Verizon corporate store, due to the corporate locations near me being closed down for over a week, I was trying to pay a bill and transfer over two lines from the temporary number to the new line. I went in line and a man that was greeting clients asked what i was doing, and i explained to him what i need. He then went to tell me everything i can do i can do online by calling their customer service line, he is correct in the sense i can, however the verizon business customer service line is only open monday-friday and closes at 2pm here in the west coast, hence the reason for my visit, he kept being pushing that i could do it over the phone even after i let him know his companys business lines hours. It seems like this location only looks for sales not service. read more

I went in to get my screen protector replaced today because when I bought the phone a year ago they told me with the program I purchased I could pop in to any Verizon and replace the glass cover for free 3 times. At this store I was treated like a complete idiot. She kept asking me questions I didn't know the answer to like which store I bought this program through and I didn't know because there are so many Verizons surrounding San Diego and I travel a lot. I asked her to pull up my account so she could find the answers herself but instead for 20 minutes she just kept going back and forth with me making me feel stupid and said I might have better luck trying a different store but that I should call beforehand because she doesn't believe anyone can help me because according to her the program I bought doesn't exist. I called the next Verizon store and he immediately pulled up my account info and said to come on in and they would replace it for me right away. read more

Well, I was excited to leave fantastic feedback in a survey, but alas I never was e-mailed one. Therefore I shall leave my words of glorification on Yelp. I went in and a gentleman named Mike helped me out. He answered all my questions, and set up a return date to make sure that my phone upgrade and line cancellation went smooth as a baby's bottom. I returned a few days later after receiving the call that my phone was in, and Jarrett helped me out this time. You don't realize it until it happens, and this are the little things that matter, but Jarrett was very delicate in touch when handling my phone. Like "Hey, that's my brand new phone, so thank you for being extremely careful with it." He also helped me look up a few accessories after we set my phone up. Also, I want to point out, that another gentleman was being very patient and helpful to a less tech savvy lady. I was impressed by that too. Needless to say, it was a great experience. read more

Customer service and technical skills of the representatives is mediocre at best. I'm not sure they put the staff through enough training to offer superior service. The process for getting help is slow and inefficient. Handling problems with phone functioning is much better done via the Verizon website or over the phone. I walked in To purchase a case for my new Samsung. I was on the phone and before I had a chance to get to a cases, I was all-but accosted by an employee asking if I was there to pay a bill. I told him no and he was looking at me with this "well get on with-it" type look as though he couldn't recognize I was on the phone. I'm sorry I expect a little more from Verizon then demanding I deal directly with them at their convenience. I have to say I am really disappointed in the service I received at this specific store over this past weekend. I went into Verizon on Saturday looking to buy an Iphone 7plus and only the Iphone 7 plus. A solutions specialist by the name of Judith helped me. She never once asked about any of my needs, she immediately offered a "promo package" and basically said in order for me to upgrade to the 7plus I have to buy all this other crap including a hum (and I have no idea what the heck this hum is). Prior to ringing me up she said it would not cost more than $200 and when she rang me up the price was $300 (again for a bunch of stuff I do not need nor want). I was in a hurry so I left and when I get home I realize all this stuff in the bag I didn't need. I go back that same day and talk to Judith and told her I will never use these items why am I forced to have them and she said I was not able to return them as it was a "promo package". Sunday morning I called Verizon customer service and spoke to a really nice woman named Alicia who advised me there was no such thing as a "promo package" nor was I obligated to purchase all this other stuff. Additionally, Judith tied me into a two year contract with this hum device and she never mentioned this contract, the price per month, nor did she say it was optional (SHE FORCED ME TO BUY THIS ITEM). Judith not only lied to me, you wasted my time for only $300. Not only did Judith waste my time, she made me believe I could trust her after ripping me off and lying. Additionally, while I was in the store Judith asked me about what I do for work and if I was hiring. Well Judith, that was your interview and I would never work with someone who is unethical as you. The store did compensate me for this inconvenience by giving me a free 2gb data for the next two years, but this all could have been avoided had your rep not lied and wasted my time. I will never shop at this store again but I do love being a Verizon customer and will continue to be a Verizon customer. read more

Am I the only one being ripped off by Verizon? I'm on my 8th defective verizon phone. Was late rerturning 2 phones. Yes the 1st replacement of this last bunch was defective, so I had 2 at a time. They charged my acct $900 . You have to leave them carefully or they wont let you have your phone #. So I send the defective phones back. They charge me approx $100 in taxes which they don't refund. Yah right taxes! I go into the store. I have blocked them from my credit card I pay cash only, bcs the last time I sent back a phone, instead of crediting my acct, they used my money to pay the next 4 phone bills ahead. Correct amount? Too complicated to figure out. That's what they are counting on. So last month I was overcharged about 150. I always go in about 8:15 so I get served bcs they want to leave at 9. So this guy, manager, Eddy, promises to get the tax credited & call me the next day. Doesn't happen. So this month my bill is overcharged approx 100. I go in. I get this smart ass girl, Maria Saldana. Rude etc. When she steps over the line. I go to a girl named Marsi. Sweet but can't figure out the bill. Then, pushing 9:00 Eddy comes over. I had to tell him to quit yelling about 3 times. RUDE! Somehow I had the wrong info. the bill goes from 100 to 90, pushing 9:00 it goes to 50, then 33.00. Good start but still over. Now I have to call customer service for the rest of the credit.. Hopefully I'll get the credit from them or I'll be in their store at 8:15PM tonight before they cut off my phone. WARNING! If they cut off the phone, you have to pay including late fees in order to transfer your ph# to another company. Otherwise you lose your ph# Hopefully this time I'll get the timing right. Anyone have recomendations on which company I should transefer to? & also mobile internet thing? WATCH OUT FOR VERIZON. Audit your bills . Verizon is improving their ripoff procedures. read more

If I could give no star, I would. These people are crooks. They sold me a 2 yr. contract with a BB Curve that died while still under warranty. All I wanted was a "working" replacement. That was the beginning of my nightmare with VZ after having been a customer for over 12 yrs. They sent me 3 useless, supposedly "refurbished" phones. One had no sound from the earpiece, one had no sound from the mouthpiece, one had a blank, non-working computer display! Then, they charged me for never returning the original phone, which of course I did!? Then the idiots in the store tell me I should just get an iPhone and put me (one person) on a Family plan? with a "phantom line" just so they could sell me an iPhone when I didn't even really want one! They also repeatedly "padded" my bills and for the last 2 yrs I was with VZ, I had to call in nearly every month about a billing problem. So now my bill is like $500! I freaked, returned the iPhone, they refused to remove the charge for the BB phone that I DID return, even sending them a copy of the receipt and phone sticker, and my bill was just a MESS! I was extremely upset and tried to get some help from the store manager, Carlie or Carla, and she had the audacity to tell a mutual friend that I came into the store on drugs!? Now I'm really angry. By this point I had spent hours and hours on the phone with their incompetent customer service, been slandered by the worthless store manager, and never did get ANY satisfaction. I realized I had no choice but to go with another carrier. I chose AT&T and couldn't be happier. I terminated my contract with VZ. Of course they added an Early Term Fee and put my acct. to collections, causing a huge stain on my credit report. I have NEVER in my life experienced such HORRIBLE service in every aspect of this company. I am now in the process of pursuing this matter legally. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from Verizon. Unbelievable. Outrageous. HORRIBLE. That's this store. The manager "Tim" is a condescending guy. My husband went in to get a new phone for my dad who is on our plan and was promised by customer service a specific $69 phone. When he got to the store as directed by customer service "Tim" said it would be $195. After being told he did us a "favor" by discounting the phone $20 and treating my husband with an unbelievable bad attitude, my husband fired back with "why are you so rude?" to which "Tim" responded "Wait for me outside, I get off at 9:00". So, Verizon wireless managers will fight you if you stand up for yourself. We will be canceling our plan. I called to ask if they had the iphone 5 in stock. Migel went to check, and then offered to set the new phones aside and make me an appointment. YAY! I made the appointment and then brought my parents in to purchase the new phones and add them to my plan. As soon as we stepped in to the store, Migel set me up with Farid and he immediately got to work. First, he assessed my current plan and I thought, "Here we go - the up sell." But, I was pleased when Farid did the math and got us on a better plan that would meet our needs and allow me to add 2 extra lines. He even prorated it, so I wouldn't be charged anything for switching plans. Painless. In addition, he went out of his way to explain everything to my folks, transfer their information to their new phones, get someone to place screen protectors on for them, etc. There was no up selling or wasted time. We were in and out in about 30 minutes. Probably the best experience I've ever had in a Verizon store! read more

I had previously left a very positive review in December for my experience at hte Clairemont Verizon store. They gave me a bunch of devices, saying that they were free. They said they had a quota to fill. I was told I would get a rather large bill in January which did. I assumed I was paying the taxes on the "free merchandise". This month I received a bill with an $82 equipment charge. When I called customer service I was told that I was being charged for the devices ad that these payments would continue over the next 24 months! While I am very happy with the devices, I am extremely unhappy with how I got them. These folks out and out LIED. I will go to Mission Valley n future for help with Verizon Beware "special offers". Bought a Droid at Costco last Sat. They couldn't transfer photos from my aging Razor to the new smart phone at Costco so told me to go to a Vorizon store. Very impressed walking in, but it only took mentioning my Costco purchase and Costco sent me here for service to pull my photos , to start seeing the smirks. 15 minutes later I got the phone back. I asked also if they could pull the address book from a second costco purchase I ran out of time for costco to deal with. I was given a flat, NO. Didn't check for photos on the Droid til I got home - not one stinkin photo. Went back to push my weight around the next day, but all for naught. They're a bunch of hopeless, "cocky ass dudes" as described by someone else, above. I left AT&T for this???!!! Vorizon may want my business but these guys sure don't. read more

I'd give 0 stars if I could. To be fair, my problems are more with Verizon as a whole rather than this one particular branch, but this branch gets it's share of my ire, too. First, they charged me an "activation fee" while telling me that there were no charges, since I brought in my own, pre-bought phone. I was enticed to switch because my company receives a discount with verizon, only to THEN find out (4 months later) that they are not going to give me the discount after all because I do not have a long-term service contract. These things should have been known, and disclosed, by the rep at the store, but they were not revealed untill 4 FREAKING MONTHS into my service, repeated frusrtrating calls into customer service, billing, tech support, etc. Now they are "sorry" but nothing they can do. I'm waiting for a call back from a manager that I doubt will ever come. If anyone at Verizon cares enough about customer service to READ these reveiws, please get your act together. Business professionals do not have the time or the inclination to wrestle with you about this stuff...it's easier just to leave! read more

Loved the customer service I received here. We left Verizon for Sprint a year prior and regretted it as the Sprint cell reception was terrible. More than half the time we did not have service in the house and had to go outside to send texts or make calls. So we decided to go back to Verizon. The wait time to see a customer service rep was less than 5 minutes. Our customer service rep, Darcy, was very friendly and helped us get set up with an account and new phones fairly quickly. She answered all my questions and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Thanks, Darcy!! read more

Apparently when you ask for insurance it only goes on one phone line so make sure you ask for all phones to have insurance I went in with my mom she dropped her phone in water thought I had insurance apparently not! So the guy said well I can give you a new phone and charge you a one time fee of bla bla so fine did it. Got bill month later being charged for another phone line when I dont have another phone. Went into another store to see whats up with charges he told me I will be charged every month until contract ended for a new phone line I said why would I be charged if I dont have 4 phones I have 3 phones and being charged 4 lines! He said well I guess the guy tried to work the system and get you a new phone. My question to him is why am I getting charged when he never told me about the charges it was a one time price originally. The guy ended up telling me well you can suspend it so you dont have to pay the cancellation fee I said ok how do I do that he said well call his number and you have to do it every 3 months fine! Whatever ill do it. Next bill comes in being charged still. So I call customer service lady tells me oh im so sorry I dont know why either of the reps did that I will take care of it and reimburse your money on your next bill. Sorry this sorry that thank you for your business bla bla next month goes by guess what! Just got charged 120 for cancellation fee! Call them again to see whats up and guy says let me check my notes apparently notes say they told me they were gonna charge me cancellation fee so I guess im just crazy and hearing things that there gonna fix the problem there reps did and give me my money back. Im so done with there BS so now I have a $293 bill for a piece of crap phone that doesn't have internet no camera all it does is call and text if I wanted to pay 300 a month I would get a smart phone an the guy tried to tell me that other rep was saving me $600 for a new phone F*** I can get 8 of my phones for that price read more

I came in today to Upgrade my phone. I was not greeted when I walked in and finally helped by Judy. Talked about the selection of phones and was told about a 190$ bundle with an upgrade, it included 3 extra accessories. After all was said and done I got the bundle (or so I thought) and my upgrade and was all set to go. What I didn't realize at the time was I was just charged for each separate accessory fully priced, I was also told there would be a 15$ discount on top of the bundle (there wasn't). At the end of the day I feel that Judy only had one thing in her interest during my visit and that was her own commission. read more

Since switching to Verizon my life has been a living nightmare. I was only given half of the credit amount for switching over from AT&T and trading phones, and then the company decided to charge me for excessive amounts of data used for three consecutive months. I'm talking 27-31 GB charges for three consecutive months, resulting in an extra $200 each bill. Using that much data might be physically impossible, and I average 8-12 GB almost every other month. After half a year of complaining to customer service about this all they decided to credit my account, but did not apply it. I went in to this store to settle this all, and the employees could not have been more helpful. We had to call customer service again, waiting literally an hour and switching between different company departments. The manager of the store took action to expedite the process on my behalf, and both he and the employee helping me apologized and made sure I walked out with everything sorted out. I could write another book about my complaints with Verizon as a company, but this particular store is operated well and has a dedicated and noticeably knowledgeable staff. read more

I went in there on 12/3 to talk about my Pixel 3 not working when it came to using the Google Voice Assistant as well as my Ambient Display not working either. They tried to help me out, but they could not figure out what the problem was. So they sent me home and told me to do a factory reset on the phone and they said that if it still did not work, then I could come back on 12/4 to swap my phone for another Pixel 3. So I went home, reset it, and it still did not work. So I went in today, 12/4, and I told them about what happened and then they said I would have to go back to the retail store that I bought it from and then exchange it there because their inventory was different then from where I got it. There was no attempt to help me out again and help me figure something out. They did not know a damn thing and were useless. Horrible customer service and they do not know a damn thing about phones that are dedicated to them either. Complete idiots. read more

I came twice with problem and needed assistance, they alway put u on list , make u wait 40 min, and then instead trying to help you , they offering you more services. I will leave from verizon ... i recomend for everyone same. I have business plan and i always used a lot of data so i prepaid like 8gb then i rised to 10 then again 13 because they adviced im using my phone evry month same but somehow my data usage is always bigger then prepaid usage. I end up on 13 gb of data prepaid and it wasnt enough. I was paying about 200 - 270 $ How is that even possible? So i canceled everything and lower it back on 7. And now my bull is again arroung $280 because i found out i have to put safe mode on so hey wouldnt charge me for over usage. How can u do that if you know customer came in ti lower his bill with data u should make sure that safe mode is on when he leaves. Also i still cant turn it on couse i dont have pasword for app and it doesnt let you make new whotout some special number that i dont know either. I came to this store at 3:30pm on labor day expecting long lines and hurried customer service. Was I ever wrong! I was helped by Glenn, and if you ever go here, please make sure to ask for him. I was looking at upgrading my husbands phone which wasn't working due to the battery. Glenn was very persistent that I go buy a cheap $10 replacement battery since verizon doesnt sell them, so I could take advantage of the $200 trade in value. I was hesitant in that I didn't want to leave and come back. He kept politely pushing back so that I wouldn't miss out on basically free money. He asked what phone I was interested in upgrading to and told me he would have everything pulled and ready when I got back. So hesitantly, I left. I was back in 30 minutes thinking I would have to wait in line again, but, this was the second time I was proved wrong. Glenn, as promised, had all my husbands new phone and accessories waiting for me. He even took the time to pull a new phone and accessories for me, as I was due for an upgrade as well. Since they closed early for labor day, I kept expecting him to rush me out the door, but that is not what happened at all. He answered every question i had professionally and courteously. While I was gone he researched my account and found ways to increase my plan while lowering my monthly bill. My old phone had TONS of info on it, and as closing time was quickly approaching I was getting nervous as we had been to the Point Loma location earlier in the week and were told they couldn't help us because they were closing in 30 minutes . He reassured me that it wasn't a problem and I would be leaving with 2 new phones with ALL content transferred over, even if he had to stay past his shift. Long story a little short: 3+ hours, $400 trade in credit and Glenn = 2 new Samsung S7 Edge phones, 2 wireless charging stands, 2 phone cases, LOWER monthly plan, and because I didn't use all $400 trade in credit, it rolled over to my bill for next month. My cost = $10 replacement battery and $40 upgrade fee. I have NEVER left a Verizon store without spending at least $200 minimum. Glenn was not about making the sale, or trying to upsell me, but rather about making the customer happy and doing the right thing. Rest assured I will only work with Glenn from now on. Oh, and he walked me to the door and gave me a hug goodbye. Who does that these days??? Verizon is lucky to have him. read more

He was extremely helpful with transferring my information from one device to another and seemed to go above and beyond the expertise and time constraints of those in his field that I have experienced prior. His patience, warmth and friendliness really made it a pleasurable experience when it could have been stressful otherwise. I'm surprised to see anything but really complimentary reviews for this Verizon. I had a great experience when I went to get my new droid X phone after my blackberry crashed. The people were fast and very helpful and it was an overall good experience. The experience was so positive last year that we went back so my fiance could trade in his AT&T iphone for a new Thunderbolt and had the same level of customer service as before so I can say it is consistent. I have been a Verizon customer for about...let's see...8 or 9 years now. I had the very good fortune to have Jered help me from the very beginning, and I only ask for him each and every time I need anything done with my phone or have questions about my account. This is how great Jered is: I will drive past 4 or 5 more convenient Verizon stores (I'd drive past as many as I needed to, really) to get to the store where he is working that day just so he can help me. No! I'm not a stalker! He's very cute, but I'm happily married, and it's not like that. :D He is just THE VERY BEST with customer service, and truly wants you to have the best product and plan to fit your needs. I trust him completely, and recommend him without reservation. I believe he still works at the La Jolla store as well. Call ahead and make an appointment to see Jered.
