Our family purchased 5 phones under one Verizon account at this location (15324 N Dale Mabry Hwy), and the experience has been extremely disappointing. The staff were helpful ONLY during the sale, but once the purchase was complete, that support vanished. I returned to drop off a trade-in phone worth $415 and was told they couldn't find my account information. No effort was made to help -- I was simply turned away. Previously, a system error occurred during account setup, and when I returned to resolve it, the staff were rude and dismissive. One employee even told me to "step aside" because they couldn't assist further. To make matters worse, I was first told that trade-ins could only be accepted at the original store, but when I followed those instructions with the proper receipt, they still refused. On my next visit, they told me to go to a different store -- which turned out to be false, as other locations don't accept trade-ins from the other store's purchases. This location consistently gave conflicting information and showed zero willingness to help. It may be the closest Verizon store to me, but I will be going elsewhere from now on. The absolute worst We had spectrum, sometimes garbage - horrible post storm recovery but at least you could watch Bally Sport We had frontier, worked well solid, sometimes slow and def req a booster. But Verizon service is terrible (you should see the lazy tangle of lines they left on my house). But worst, the Eero thing is terrible- had 3 days with no internet, no storm wind or anything. Called, chatted and sorry it is what it is. Now it just flickers on and off which is troubling for work at home days or when watching your favorite team. This store is a factory store and I was having an issue due to my line supposedly being ported to Verizon without my permission. Everyone in the store was friendly, listened to my issue and was very empathetic, as I had been without service for several hours. They contacted corporate, had my number working and all within less than 30 minutes. I spent hours on the phone with both Verizon and Sprint and was unable to accomplish what they did. She was the best and I highly recommend this Sprint, now T-mobile location. read more

Came for a new screen protector for the iPhone 14 I just got. 2 people ahead of me in line and it went fast. When you walk in someone with an iPad will ask you what you need and pop you into the rotation. Maybe 6 minutes later some one came and helped me asked what phone i had, went to the back and reappeared a min later. He got my phone and expertly applied the little wet wipes for the screen. He was good and said I do about 4 of these a day. The tap to pay was in his hand and Boom I was done and out the door. Not sure why the reviews are crap for this location, I always have a good experience. read more

Terrible service. Rude employees. I sat in my car for a few minutes before I walked in and I was parked right outside of the front door...the blonde female employee with glasses walked to the window where I could clearly see her taking pictures of me inside of my car. Not sure why this was warranted or needed but it's rude -- I am a 5'2 small female. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. After I finished my phone call I walked inside. Everyone was just stared at me. Then one person said it's a 30 minute wait. Not sure why because no one was in there. I just walked right out. The level of discomfort that they made me feel even before I walked in there is completely unacceptable from a corporate company of this caliber. read more

I got my problems/questions resolved completely. I watched the team handle a few other customers deftly, respectfully and thoughtfully one at a time....working thru lots of questions. This place is terrible and filled with a bunch of scammers. I went in about 2 months ago for a new phone when I got told that they were giving out Apple Watches and iPads for free. When I didn't believe them at first and asked they said they were getting rid of old shipment to make room for new. After I asked multiple times to make sure if it was actually no charge I believed him (sadly). He said I wouldn't get charged an extra line, only $10 set up fee which he didn't do anything for either. Fast forward now, I'm getting charged $300 for the watch and $500 for the iPad. How can someone be this foul and disgusting to do this to another person? Honestly a shame and I hope this place shuts down asap!!! read more

I went through a bit of trouble to arrange picking up my phone. There was a disconnect between what I did online and in the store. The staff didn't seem to care about my inconvenience as a customer. Also, things were not resolved in the store. I ended up starting the process online, continuing it in the store, then spending more of my time resolving issues over the phone after. Negative experience all the way. Today my son and I went seeking upgrades for our cell phones, and left the shop quite upset. Halfway into explaining the phone to my son, the sales rep stopped what she was doing to rudely and flippantly state to me "SIR PLEASE PUT YOUR MASK BACK ON". This soured the remainder of my experience to say the least. I was having some breathing difficulties, and needed to briefly take some breaths. I arrived at this store on Feb 11th at 8:05pm. There were 9 customers and approximately 6-7 Verizon employees in the store. The doors were locked when I arrived since they close at 8pm. The manager came to the door I ask him could I come in for a quick second to put cash in the machine to pay my bill and he said " NO we are CLOSE". Really ??? this takes less then 5 mins, plus there are server all people still in the store. Wow, very poor customer service! I stayed outside in my car for 45 mins to see how long before the last person left. But, they wouldn't let me in for 5mins to pay my bill which involved NO service from any of the Verizon sales rep. Not very clear with how things work. They don't communicate what your paying for and what your getting. All the promotions are dumb and you don't get anything free you will always end up paying for something they never told you about. I called in today and asked about an issue with the gift card I was supposed to get and said they could do nothing about what was done and said they would give me a 50 dollar credit to my bill but still never received that also.! Horrible customer service!! Went in to upgrade both our iPhones to the 10S. Salesman informs us that they're having a special that includes a case, portable charger and a battery pack. Unfortunately when he was ringing us up, those "free" items came to $250 but he was nice enough to give us a deal of $150. When I informed him that he said they came with the upgrade, he said I just have misunderstood him and that they were additional. Needless to say, we walked out w/o any phone upgrades. Verizon sold me on the Samsung Galaxy S9, which is okay. But then the representative talked me into buying the Zagg screen protector with the life time warranty. I should have known it was junk, when he cracked the 1st one during his installation. The current one cracked within a week, without dropping it or banging it on anything. Life time warranty is a joke, Verizon should quit telling their customers how easy it is to get a replacement, after registering the screen protector. Bottom line is the $50 cost, then $10 cost for shipping and the free screen protector is a rip off, don't buy it, buy the $10 protector from Amazon, and you will be $50 ahead.. read more

The customer service of this company is completely absent. They have sent us through more people and hurdles than any human should face. We started with what was a simple internet service set up. The install date was scheduled for over two weeks out. We called several times speaking with a different person each time to clarify each time that we were on the books scheduled for an install as we know how this pans out! On the day of the install no one showed up. And imagine, no phone call; big shocker. We called back at 6:00, and was fed a ridiculous story about how they tried to contact us about "some new service deals" and since there was no response, they moved out our install date. No phone call I can assure you. After being placed on hold and hung up on, my husband called today to find that a new note had been added in that someone came to the house. Not a chance, he was there all day!!! Is this really the level of service our nation has routed too? What a joke for a large franchised corporation. read more

Lovett was friendly and knowledgable. He was a great sales person with not too much pressure. That sort of balance is hard to come by. And I am very picky about cell phone sales and service because I have a good friend up in Michigan that works for Verizon that I really trust. Pretty much anyone else puts my out of my comfort zone. First the store review then I will continue with my story. Service, as I stated above, was great. Lovett was courteous and professional and really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, fully informed, and our needs were satisfied. The store was under renovation, so it cannot get the full 5 stars. Lovett did deserve 5 stars, so I feel slightly bad, but they have room to improve and everyone there clearly knows it with the big temporary wall running down the middle of the store. So my fiancée has been stealing my blue tooth jawbone hands-free for the past couple weeks because he microphone on her phone went out and it was the only way we could use her phone to talk to other people. We waited until the new iPhone prices came out and immediately rushed into Verizon to get new phones. We got new iPhones. For her, a pink iPhone 5c and for me, I upgraded my 4 to a 4s because I wanted to keep using my mophie battery case! Lovett found us a work discount because my fiancée works for the courts. This store had really good sales rep a while back, I recently called over the phone before going over because I wanted to speak with Xsavier who was one of the better sales rep, they answered and told me Xsavier would be there the next day, so I called the next day only to hear someone tell me the person I was looking for hasn't worked there for over a year. I don't think it's a bad store but for me I had a bad experience and I don't like some of the new reps it seems they are just trying to get my money instead of giving other options. UNETHICAL PRACTICES! On May 30th we went to upgrade my daughter's phone from a iPhone 5C to the 6. It was in the upgrade phase. I am a very trusting person and asked if he could place any additional charges on our bill (which we have done in past upgrades as we have six lines). He said no problem. I would have been willing to pay right there if needed. He brought the tablet over with the box for me to sign which I did. Tonight I happen to be looking at my account for another reason and see that he had me sign for EDGE without my knowledge or consent. There is no way he would have thought I wanted EDGE. My son has EDGE so I am familiar with the contract. Instead of getting the phone upgrade, I was charged full retail price for the iPhone 6. I immediately called Verizon and they stated I had 14 days to return the phone and cancel EDGE. Yes, it is my fault that I signed the tablet where he told me to sign. But it is his fault for being a lying scumbag. Between the Verizon guy trying to get me to switch to their cable, to the other workers talking so friendly to me, he just was on a roll to scam us. I have had this contract since 2003 when we PCS'd to MacDill and I am sad to see that their employees have lowered themselves to unethical practices! I WAS a very loyal Verizon Wireless customer. I will be looking to switch our six lines to another carrier. A visit to speak to the manager and a letter to corporate will follow. read more

Buyer beware! After 20 years with Verizon, they failed in their service and services. Several times phone conversations would drop with no reason along with poor call quality. I even tried new phones but no success. Trying to transfer to AT&T resulted in unprofessionalism and mistreatment from Verizon with unreasonable expectations. I had to shut down payment options because Verizon failed to terminate my account and continued to charge me for a single remaining number on the account. This is unacceptable and needs to be addressed. Additionally, the journey to find a competent live person on the phone only took 1.25 hours and then I was fed an excuse that since they didn't receive a request to terminate the account they would continue to be charged even though I asked them 2 months ago to close the account out. Way to go Verizon, sounds like you took a page out of Wells Fargo's play book! read more

I've been with verizon since their inception. When they started providing cable tv and internet, I signed up. It was a debacle. When I canceled, they sent someone that cut the cable on my roof. the cut cable is still there! I still kept their wireless, albeit through their acquisition of their gte start up alltel. fast forward about 10 years to last month. I had a couple of minor cell problems I wanted to discuss.. the salesman made it clear -though not rudely- that they couldn't care less. Walked in the store the other day with an idea of what I wanted. I had researched it enough to know that I wanted to set up a mobile hot spot that I could move from the home to other places, hotels, the rv, etc and still retain internet services thru a 4G network. I was after the Jetpack 291. The store seemed to be full of customers but there were enough of the store personnel to accommodate each one. The employee listened to my reason, suggested an alternative that actually made a lot of sense. It was a mobile wifi set up that had better range but was useful only in areas that you could plug it in. What sold me on the original device was that we talked about the advantage the other had: it had a pretty long battery life and you could take it in your car or on your person and still be connected. Bought that and the service plan and I was out of the store in about twenty minutes. They were very helpful. If I had another need to go back there, I would not hesitate. Thanks. read more
