I called Spectrum several times to cancel my internet service. During one of those calls, the agent asked if I also wanted to cancel the phone line that was included in the promotion, and I said yes. I also clearly asked them to remove or disable my autopay. I understood that everything had been canceled correctly, but to my surprise, I received another bill while I believed everything had already been taken care of. I contacted customer service again, and after spending more than an hour on the phone, they only gave me another number to call. Very bad experience. The cancellation process was confusing, customer service did not solve the problem, and in my case, the phone service has been one of the worst. read more

I've always been successful with appointments. Yesterday I was only 5 minutes early to my 1st appointment. So I got rescheduled. So I decide to try being a WI. "The manager" is doing little to nothing while it's packed. No change, so I rescheduled myself for 3:45. I checked in 20 minutes early. I got the text as I'm opening the door and the manager said I was already called. So, he "helped me". But he made it unbundantly clear that I f'd up. And that they were there for sales, not to expedite equipment exchanges! NEVER HAVE I EVER had a an experience like that with FSN, Brighthouse, or Spectrum! Luckily, I called for support! If you come in to return equipment they tell you the wait is long and to go to UPS - Wasted a trip to UPS whose system was not working for Spectrum returns - I believe the workers at at the store do not want to do the work of returns - Spectrum customer service will tell you to return equipment to the store - Make an appointment as it will save you time. read more

The representative lied about my monthly cost for cell phone and internet services. I called and cancelled the installation of the internet service. The installer showed up and tried to do the install. Then I get an email saying the SIM card was being shipped for my phone switch. I had canceled that due to the lies about the actual cost. I went online and started a chat with the stupid AI until I could get that stupid software to transfer me to a human. I gave the human a brief message about the SIM card being shipped, including the tracking number. The AI sent me to the wrong person, who could not do anything about it. I was told they would transfer me to the correct person. That person then ended the chat instead of transferring me to the correct person. So far, Spectrum has wasted payroll dollars on the installer and a wasted trip and paid for shipping a SIM card that will be tossed in the trash if and when it shows up. Spectrum has proven that they like to lie and do not care about their customers, including potential customers. I do not recommend this company. The only thing they do is fill the mailbox with junk mail full of lies about their service and prices being lower than their competitors'. The facts, when I figured out the truth, are that they are one of the more expensive companies for cellphones and internet. While many people like cable TV, which is part of this company, I, for one, would never pay for cable services or even an online subscription for movies. I get everything on cable and a whole lot more for free on my TV. read more

I've had my ups and downs with spectrum internet for years, so I'm going to focus on the experience I had today at the Spectrum store on North Dale Mabry. Devin helped me exchange out my modem for a new one since mine was completely shot. He was extremely nice and friendly and made sure to provide me with full detailed instructions on the modem set up. I didn't have to wait very long at all, they are an extremely busy store though. I went around 1 pm yesterday and it was packed. You will have to sign in on the iPad directly in front when you walk in, and then the reps will call you by name. The store is nice and clean and has electronics everywhere for you to test out (iPhones, Samsungs, tablets, speakers, etc). Thank you Devin for a positive experience! read more

Walked into this location to set up service on a Sunday afternoon. There is a kiosk to sign in at the door entrance that people seem to walk by it and not notice it which is strange. Don't forget to sign in because they go in order and I would strongly recommend having patience, it could be a few hours before getting any help. read more

Poor customer service. Spectrum replaced my router, and I was told to go to the store to pick up the replacement router. I was also instructed to return the old router using a label that would be sent to me. After waiting to receive a label, Spectrum customer service called and asked if I could return it to the store. I was happy to do so. Upon going to the store, I was told it had to be mailed, and they could not assist. I called Spectrum to update them and was told to return it to the store as they would accept the return of their router and give me a return receipt. They instructed me to ask the manager if I had an issue. So, today, after an hour's wait, they refused to take the return, and the manager refused to offer assistance or to speak to me. While the Spectrum service generally meets my needs, the lack of professionalism and service at this particular location is a concern. The agent's suggestion, 'Just go find a UPS Store, take it there, and have them process the return,' is a clear example of poor service. It's unacceptable to have a customer in your building and refuse to service them, especially when they are following the advice given by corporate. When I called corporate from the store to explain, they apologized and acknowledged that this is a recurring issue, with management promising to address it, but it continues to happen. I guess the silver lining is they can only get better, as it can't get much worse at this location. read more

If I could post zero stars I would. I was a longtime customer of Brighthouse / Spectrum. Constant price increases with little or no service just like everything else in out in the real world has me canceling my service. They'll give new customers the moon but nothing for loyal customers. I guess we have to shop like everyone else with nothing for the inconvenience. If you can find something else get it. As for mobile I'm with Mint Mobile now. No issues, $30 a month unlimited and I haven't had a problem with speed yet. The hotspot works fine as well. Good luck! read more

I drove an hour to upgrade my phone to be told by two associates that the manager said only give the new iphone to new customers i would have to order my phone. I spoke with customer service and was told that was not a thing. The location before was going to upgrade me no problem but they didnt have the color I wanted. My husband and I have had Spectrum for several years. We have the Internet, the cable and the phones. The only thing that I'm disappointed in is that we pay a lot for our cell phones even though we owned them our cell phone service is extremely high but if you want the 2999 deal you have to add an extra line I think the older customers should be able to get the 2999 for their phone as well. I've been using Spectrum/Brighthouse for 20 years now. In all that time I've been really happy with the service and my overall experience. The few issues I've had recently, have me considering changing providers: 1. When power was out a couple days during the hurricane last season, we didn't have internet or TV even though we had a generator. Apparently Spectrum doesn't have their facility on generator. My neighbors with another provider had internet the entire time. 2. I took my 2 year old dvr in to swap it out, to see if a new model existed. Got same model back, but after getting home, the box was defective and kept rebooting every 5 minutes. Returned to store and they gave me a replacement that was 7 years older and was very used. Clock display is worn out so we can't see the time unless we are within a couple feet of the box. That wasted 4 hours of my time and I'm still going to have to replace this box again. 3. When I was in the store, the representative said I was paying too much for Internet and that I should call and get my rate reduced $25 per month. When I got home I looked up the price. It said $49.99. I pay $74.99. I called and they told me that rate is only for new customers and that my rate is correct and they wouldn't reduce it. The other provider in my area charges $44.99 for faster speeds and as mentioned above it will work when power is out. Spectrum, you need to do better if you expect to keep loyal customers. read more

We had a random moving truck back into our power lines knocking down and destroying our spectrum WiFi cable. Kewan and Cal were dispatched to handle the project. They had to run a new line through thick jungle to allow us to have high speed Internet again. They were fast, thorough, and respectful. Job well done! read more

We recently disconnected from their cable service as we found a much better deal with their competitor in the Bay Area. When we had the Spectrum service, WiFi was very spotty and not on the level we had previously with their competitor. We had to drop off equipment to this location and was greeted upon entering however the process was a bit confusing as they had tablets there to sign in so we begun that but then the rep called us over before we were done. The staff member wasn't very pleasant or clear in communicating. We brought the remotes and cables and boxes. He said boxes only on desk so I laid them on the desk. My hubs had the cables and remotes and was going to lay them on the table but he said no, boxes only. Ok then where do you want me to put this other stuff. He pointed to the garbage bin. So we put them their. Employees were wearing masks and gloves however no hand sanitizer available around the tables if they are making you touch to sign in. Glad to be switched. read more

Rattled after a very frustrating call with Spectrum... basically they never switched our ancient package - including archaic internet speed - when they moved from bright house. So attempting to make changes today, they inform me they can make the change with the flip of a switch but they will still charge me for my old package for which I won't be using the phone and tv services. So I basically have to keep Paying for those services until the end of next month. So prorating isn't leveraged but stealing money from me for services I don't use is. read more

I will give them good customer service but their prices are way out of line. $219.00 a month for basic cable, tv, and landline. $2628.00 per year. It is time to move on. Today I got my 5th cable box in 2 months. I was told that this is a new box as the others were all refurbished and did not last very long. This new box no longer has 3 features that I have grown to use over the past 12 years, setting reminders, time display and call log and call notification for my phone. The service people who come to my home are in general polite and capable. Calling Spectrum when you have a problem generally requires multiple phone calls before you can actually talk to a person and schedule an appointment. These new cable boxes are quite inconvenient do to the lack of functionality, but I got the feeling that Spectrum really doesn't care. I will be talking to my condo association about looking for alternative vendors. read more

This is not true. I would never use their unreliable service.
