This is by far the worst store and verizon overall is the worst company in the world. I came in this store back in March to inquire about getting a new phone on their Edge program. Store employee helped me out and told me they were giving me a $300 trade in for my iphone towards my new phone and that I wouldn't have a contract on this line any more or that I would have to pay the early termination fee if I closed this line. Fast forward to June, after having nothing but problems with the phone and service I switched to ATT&T. I just received the final bill of $1300 from Verizon. After jumping through several hoops I found out that my iphone I traded in in March "magically" had a crack in it and they never gave me the $300 trade in value and that I also still had contract and I had to pay an early termination fee. So no I am currently on the phone paying $1300 just to get rid of Verizon. STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON AND SPECIALLY THIS STORE!!!! THEY ARE CROOKS AND WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!! read more

Thomas, the manager is AWESOME! I had multiple issues with my phone and headset and went to multiple stores of Verizon and got subpar service. One visit with Thomas, and he took care of everything in less than 10 minutes. He has a customer centric approach which he instills on his staff. read more

I visited this store last night to order an iPad mini. I was not expecting to be able to walk out of the store with one, but I was disappointed that it would not ship for another week. When I told Meko the sales associate I was hoping to have it for my Christmas travel, she and the manager (Darrell I think his name is) called a few of the other stores in the area, found the one I wanted, and had it overnighted to the store. Just a little more than 12 hours later, I have my new iPad! I was amazed at the level of customer service that was extended and will definitely be going back for my future Verizon needs! read more

She was super patient & helpful all the way. I was there about half an hour after closing time, and she never complained. I had a great experience at the store. read more

I bought an iphone and mini ipad here earlier in the year. The rep was very helpful. I returned today as both are having technical issues. The ipad is not holding a charge and the phone randomly rings and then does not. The woman at the door took my name promptly. About five of us waited for 30 minutes - I finally just left. The individual who took our names could not give us any idea of how long we would wait. The floor folks talked amongst themselves leaving us just waiting. Finally, she said 6 of their customer service folks were in training so they were short handed. While they trained, the customers sat not being waited on at all. When one of the customers became upset about the long wait with no answer about how much longer, she was dismissed with the individual who checked us in. Terrible service. read more

I recently did a check up on my mother's bills. She is retired and I like to look over her monthly expenditures. Verizon was charging my mother $87.99 for 15/15Mb Internet (not even offered anymore). I went back through here prior bills and noticed they had been increasing by $10 a year for the last few years. I was furious but called, hoping Verizon would do right by her (a FIOS customer since 2004). They did not, they would not honor any current internet specials and the best we were offered was 50Mb for $75 a month. New subscribers are given a 50/50Mb deal for 39.99. We were dumbfounded that the company wouldn't work with us after being a customer for so many years. We ended up canceling as they wouldn't work to bring the cost into her budget. We intend to write a BBB complaint which they pride themselves on being rated A+. I encourage others with Verizon issues to file complaints with the BBB. My mother also had a sizable amount of stock in Verizon which we will be selling, she doesn't want to hold a company with such poor customer service and unethical business practices. read more

I visited this store today to buy a new I-phone. I was told that I was not allowed to hold any of the I-phones in my hand because they "tend to walk out the door." Although the customer rep had already looked up my account and could see that I'm a long-standing customer who pays for 3 lines every month, they decided to treat me as a potential thief rather than a customer. I had a very good experience at this Verizon store. The manager is in-tune with the needs of customers, and the employee who helped me was knowledgeable and efficient. I was able to trade in my iPhone 5s for the iPhone 7 in less than an hour, including data transfers and setup time. So... I called verizon to get FiOS initially last Monday and the representative told.me that I had an appointment scheduled for the following day before putting me on hold. I was on hold for about five minutes before the line went dead. I called back but spent more time on hold and in the end I didn't have the time to waste. I called the following day to confirm my appointment. The man said he had no record of an appointment and rescheduled me for the following week! I said I needed it that week and he said he would provide the customer service number in an email. I never received it. The tech was supposed to come today. At first they told.me he would come in the afternoon and then they changed it to the morning. I called and asked them to change it back to sometime between 1 and 5 as I had already made accommodations. They did, however the tech didn't arrive until 7. When he arrived he didn't wipe his shoes and tracked leaves and mud through my house. And then here's the kicker, he starts to install DSL! I ordered FiOS and this guy is installing DSL! He said he can't install FiOS. So I call Verizon back and explain the whole situation to them. The guy sets another appointment for me next week and said he can't move it up. I complain and he gives me the number for customer service. I call the number he gave me and it's actually the number for verizon wireless. In summary, I guess this company does not want my business. Avoid this store and Verizon altogether. I got a new phone here. I got an additional $300 on my account, plus I am paying for the phone monthly. The salesperson, Said, is a crook. I got charged for everything he said I wouldn't get charged, and I cannot return the equipment because by the time I got my bill, it was past the 14-day period. read more

***Note for Yelp: the phone was NOT a freebie for writing this. It was a free replacement as it checked out under warranty! I had that confused in the past when reviewing something different and had the review flagged and pulled and got a nasty email from you all! As a result, I feel I have to specify this first!*** I was there a few months ago getting my replacement phone Verizon sent me as the old phone I previously mentioned also had severe overheating issues and they said they would send me a free replacement after assessment. After the assessment I qualified. I couldn't get the memory card out of the old one and I didn't want to damage it by using a nail file or something and that's why I made the LONG trip in to DC from Silver Spring when I had no other need to be in DC that day! I asked the lady if she had a screen protector for my phone (this was prior to them pulling the S5 off the market and releasing the S6). She was all, "Duh, what's a screen protector!" Yes, she said it EXACTLY like that! Then, I stood there another 10 minutes hoping someone else would come over! A guy I had worked with when I got the original phone did and told him what happened and what I wanted and NOTHING! I even talked to the manager and NO ONE looked for one and I was there for TWO HOURS! I finally gave up and I didn't see one on the shelves as this was shortly before the S6 was on the market so a lot of the S5 merchandise was already gone! When I came back looking the screen had already had a severe spider crack due to me not being able to find a screen protector ANYWHERE else in stores (currently I was credit card-less due to my move and my old bank not having a branch near me and so I was moving my cards so I could not look online). I went back just as they got the S6 and they had ONE left! I had to place it OVER the cracks as more than likely Verizon would NOT cover to fix the screen and it would have been between $80-$140 as I currently didn't have the money. Bought an iPhone 5c for my son. The phone comes in multiple colors. The salesman told us what colors the phone came in but did not have any out on display so customers can see the colors. At our request, the salesman brought some phones out so my son could see the colors. The reason for the one star review is that when I got my next Verizon bill, I saw that my account had been enrolled in an insurance plan for the phone. I never agreed to sign up for such a plan and had to waste a half hour on the phone with verizon to get the charges reversed. read more

Today I went into this store to see about upgrading my phone since this month makes 2yrs since my last upgrade. This month also marks the 12th year I've had Verizon service (my original contract was through Airtouch). I entered my name at the registration kiosk and then browsed phones while I waited. I was not even looked at during my time waiting. Eventually, I noticed that my name was no longer on the waiting list and had to grab the attention of someone to ask what happened. He looked me very confused and walked over to a computer, again, saying NOTHING. After a minute he tells me that there is no history of my registration and that I would need to be entered into the queue again. SERIOUSLY?!?! I need to wait another 15 minutes for someone to do what you are doing right now, which is talk to me?!?! I told him forget it, walked out. His response, "sorry". Are the workers at Verizon robots? Are they incapable of dealing with unexpected situations? I am especially annoyed about this interaction since I went into the College Park location 2 weeks ago to ask one simple question, that only required a yes or no answer and they insisted on my signing in before they would answer. Until a few months ago I lived in CA and visited Verizon stores many times. Never have I ever had such horrible customer service at a Verizon store. read more

I registered with Yelp solely to write this review. I've never experienced worse customer service in my life. The "technician" at the F Street location basicially spent 5 seconds with me, before assessing that I simply needed to "buy a new phone." He was visibly frustrated with any question I asked him, and did nothing to accomodate me. Rude. Unhelpful. Arrogant. If I weren't otherwise completely happy with my service, this may have been enough to prompt me to change providers. I wish I had had the time to ask to speak with this guy's manager. If you're in the City, I've always had luck at the L Street location, and the customer service I've received at the Tysons location has been nothing short of terrific. By the way, after leaving the store, I went back to my office and Googled "How to fix a Blackberry." My phone now works after about three minutes of my own troubleshooting.
