If I could give negative star I would. I have had verizon since 2000. This store used to be great but as of a year ago, it is horrible. I refused to go in for quite a while. The reason, I upgraded to the samsung S8+. I even paid it off within a month. The day I picked it up, I bought extra items with it, including the protective screen cover. Apparently it was installed improperly because it came off but I didn't know where. I went back to the store and it was OH WELL, IF YOU CAN'T FIND IT WE WON'T REPLACE IT. I was able to call customer service who provided me with the number to get a replacement FREE. Today I needed to replace my car cord for the third time. I walked in and was the only customer there. The "greeter" came towards me. A male walked in and walked past me to the greeter. Instead of the greeter saying "I will be right with you". the greeter helped that person first. NO ONE ELSE approached me or asked if I needed help. I WILL NEVER GO BACK IN THAT STORE AGAIN. AS A MATTER OF FACE I MAY JUST MOVE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. Service there is TERRIBLE read more

The employees try, they really do. However, the business model isn't geared for customer satisfaction. When you walk in, there is a bank of five customer service terminals, with two employees manning them. I get in line behind three customers. The line moves slowly, but when people are buying cellphones, you expect that. Finally, it was my turn - but just then a perky guy stepped up to me and asked how he could help me. I motioned that I was next, and didn't need his help, but he said that was not the case. He now told me he had to log me into a queue, and when my name was up on the screen, THEN it was my turn. He pointed to some terminals in the rear of the store, and said if I had logged myself in, it would now be my turn. He put my name into the queue, and I was now fourth in line. I told him I wished there was a sign up front telling me the rules, I would now not be behind those who had strolled into the store after me... He said sorry, it was his job to tell me but he had been really busy with a customer - that the new iPhone was in, and he would be happy to sell me one. When I finally was helped by another employee, we found that the cell charger I needed for my year-old phone was no longer available - anywhere. He said he could back-order it for $35, but I politely told him that I had just wasted my lunch hour in the store and I had to get back to work. I dropped by Radio Shack down the street and purchased my cell charger for $19 - and they had four in stock. (edit) Interesting, I was contacted by a rep for Verizon - they browse Yelp... I usually don't do reviews but I was so disgusted by the customer service I received at this place. I am a polite person and I don't appreciate being talked to in a condescending tone by a person younger than me. I am not too tech savvy so that's why I go to these stores to help me and I believe that is why the representatives are getting paid. I was helped by Rosie if you ever go into the Watsonville location you can't miss her she is short and looks like Snooki from the jersey shore. If you want to be helped in a respectful manner make sure you avoid her. I simply was asking questions about my phone and I didn't appreciate her tone or sarcastic laugh she would occasionally throw at me . She honestly made me feel like I was stupid and again I'm not too tech savvy but that's why I go and ask for help. Verizon needs to do a better job at their store fronts and hire people that value customer service. I felt like I was being talked to the whole time like she thought she was better than me. Joan L's review of this place is a reason why yelp is a way to ruin businesses with bad and wrong information. I was in the store today with my son and I overheard the altercation between Joan and the employees and I overheard Joan telling employees and manager she was going to give them a bad review on Yelp just because she thought they were not cooperating with her when they were trying to do everything they could to help her. Sure enough I check yelp and she followed through on her word. I used to have my own business so I found it pretty unfair how the customer Joan was pretty much using Yelp as a threat to try and get her way. I was there for most of the altercation and the representatives were trying to help her figure out a solution and even put her on the phone with whom I'm assuming was a higher authority in the company. They did everything in their hands to help her out and she still went out of her way to try and trash the company just because she didn't get her way. Mrs Joan you state they sold your friend a flip phone which to my understanding is very basic and easy to use would you have rather they sold him a 1000 dollar Iphone? That I would understand as taking advantage of an old man but they apparently tried getting him set up with an easy to use device. Please don't take offense to this if you do read this but I used to own a business and misinforming yelp reviews really slowed my business. She proceeds to call them minimum wage owners at the end of her review which to me is a obvious sign of a pissed off customer and should be a sure sign to ignore her review. I'm not sure how much the employees there make but they definitely are not getting paid enough to have to deal with people with yourself that might make a lot of money but are definitely not rich in brains. We had gone to the Verizon store in Eastridge and had not been impressed so we left and the next day visited the one in Watsonville, where we live. Immediately after entering, we were greeted and had someone available to help us. We explained that we were adding a line to an existing account. She (Rosana) gave us plenty of space to explore our different phone options but was always close enough to answer any questions we had. She made the entire process as painless as possible. She did have to spend some additional time with us since we were having some issues transferring a number from a different carrier but she was very thorough. Rosana even made sure that we received every available discount. That was the first time that I have left a retail store like this without feeling like I just got done dealing with a used car salesman. She seemed interested in us and truly made the entire experience pleasant! I will be requesting her in the future! read more

After being ignored at the Verizon store in Capitola I was pleased to find that the employees at this store were courteous and attentive. As soon as I came in, someone took my information and kept checking in with me to let me know how long the wait time was. They were truly bicultural here, treating Anglos with the same respect as Latinos. Both Alexis and Miguel Angel took the necessary time to resolve my problem. read more

I live in Santa Cruz and have always used one of the 3 Verizon stores in north county. Recently I had the occasion to use the one on Green Valley Road and I will never go anywhere else. I was greeted at the door and my wait was not long. The woman who helped me, Jessica, was friendly, attentive, extremely knowledgeable, patient and efficient. She kept me in the loop while she did a lot of checking to find get me the best possible plan. She saved me a lot of money and upgraded my plan in many ways. This was the best Verizon store I have used in this county. read more

I had driven all the way from Monterey to Watsonville in heavy traffic. I had a problem with my cellphone that would have taken an experienced agent only a second...but I really had to use the bathroom! Giovanni assisted me with the cellphone problem but refused to let me use their bathroom, citing a company policy. He kept pointing across the parking lot to a business that sold tires and said to ask there! I told him I had used his facilities many times in the past (admittedly not for a few years) and knew the protocol, and would only be a moment. I felt myself getting into really bad situation physically and practically begged him for assistance, telling him I was 80 years old, and could use his assistance! The answer was still a "no" and he just pointed across the street once again. I was embarrassed, humiliated, and in tears as I left. I drove to the nearest bathroom facility, and then on to Verizon in Capitola to continue my business with them. But....I will never return to the Watsonville facility, and will make sure I put the word out about their lack of courtesy of the elderly! How sad in today's world! read more

I was treated pretty poorly by a young woman because I was not an experienced user and asked question about different phones. The store was not busy at all and had to ask her to come over to demonstrate different phones to me. My wife did a better job than the sales associate. Try other branches. read more

Had to replace my daughter's IPhone 5 because she shattered the screen. Called the Verizon wireless store on Green Valley and said they could take care of my situation. I waited for a few minutes after I was greeted at the door. I was help by Giovanni and he handled my transaction as a true professional. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ended up replacing my daughter's phone with a IPhone 6. She was very happy that she received a new phone. Unfortunately a few days after she received the phone see looked for the ear buds and they were missing. Being a teenage girl she probably misplaced them. I called the store and spoke to "Chucky" he said it would be no problem replacing them. I went to store and got a new pair of ear buds with no hassle. Being in the car business for over 25 years I know what professional service is when I experience it. Kudos to the staff at the Watsonville Verizon store on Green Valley. read more

Two weeks ago my phone randomly decided to die and never turn back on. I went in to Verizon in Watsonville (extremely poor customer service), it took less than a minute to explain what happened to my phone and it took no more than 30 seconds for the rude ass employee to basically tell me he could do nothing for me. A week later i go in with my mom because I'm on her plan, basically telling us i would have to get a new phone, pay for upgrade fees, etc. everything would have turned out to be $400 plus taxes! I got fed up and walked away. Today I walk into the Verizon in downtown Santa Cruz and she helped me within two minutes. I ordered a replacement phone online and it will be here on Monday!!!! Why couldn't Watsonville Verizon tell me that two weeks ago when I first walked in? They are extremely lazy and for anyone who thinks otherwise to each their own. Never again will I return to my nearest Verizon store. All they had to tell me was to go online, through my insurance and I would've had a phone weeks ago. DISPLEASED! read more

I have been extremely frustrated with this store. When I moved to Watsonville everyone told me that Verizon was the way to go. However, ever since I signed my contract with them I have had nothing but disappointment and it has all been with this specific store location. They don't lie to your face, they just tell you a partial truth that makes you happy. Then when you go in with questions, whether its about your service plan, why your bill is too high, they are all too happy to tell you all that "you" signed up and why your bill is high. Then I leave the store call customer service, get great support and discover why things happened they way they did. Last time I even got a "they really didn't tell you about this other option when you were signing up for this change?" Of course an apology was all I got, not a correction. I miss T-mobile and their great customer service that actually does something for you when they make a mistake, not just say they are sorry. One time I was talking to a manager and was explaining what another staff told me. The other staff happened to be standing two stations down not with a customer and I said, "do you not remember this conversation and you telling me this?" He just smiled and said I am not sure. I am tired of the car salesman attitude of this shop and will be driving to another location if I need help. read more
