I never in my life was treated so disrespectfully by a store in my life all based off the fact I was white. I came in there with a problem and was directed to come into that store from 611 Customer service in regards to a free phone upgrade I didn't understand what was going on and they did nothing but agitate the situation instead of listening to me, sarcastic comments were made about my ringtone and one of them even wanted to fist fight me in the store at that point, they threatened to call the police on me and have me removed because 611 told me and they heard it not to listen to the store that the store was wrong and the store was telling me not to listen to Customer service that they were wrong and then I had some individual make comments in regards to my skin color and my ringtone because I'm Italian, I was called a clown and a whole bunch of other rotten names. How dare Verizon have garbage like this work for them and I am not letting it go. There's a lot more to it, but I would love to speak to a district manager or something because I am not letting this go read more

Today I visited the Clifton Commons NJ store in hopes of replacing a glass screen protector for my iPhone. Through a corporate discount program, I am eligible for a 25% discount on accessories. After a half hour wait, an associate called my name. He brought me a Zagg screen protector that was priced at $59.00 and told me that he didn't see any indication of the corporate discount and told me that it did not apply. This happened to me once before at the Clifton store, so this time around I came prepared with a paper from the Verizon web website showing my enrollment in the program that entitled me to the discount. He told me there is nothing further that he could do and that I should call the billing department if I had any questions. I went ahead and called them and on-line, the discounted price showed up. The support person from the call-center was much much more knowledgeable than anyone in the store, and much more helpful. This was not the first time I received terrible service from the Clifton Commons store. Although the store manager was off, the acting store manager was very rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. My recommendation is to avoid this store if it all possible. read more

WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS HERE, Very weird place i would say the employees are hostile in a passive aggressive way. Entered the store all employees where busy sat down and waited. Employee comes up acting like I have no business being there trying to alienate me for patiently waiting, a weird start. Seems to get better when i say im there to get a phone plan. Starts off with employee implying i cant unlock my phone, implying that i stole the phone. This continues for a while even after unlocking the phone i am still treated like i stole the phone. After filling out the info im asked about what phone number i want. Wasn't aware there was an option asked for the area code i previously had. This is where it starts to get weird second employee then states to switch up the cities. Employee im working with says why?. The second employee states idk to "trip people up", im sitting across the table and hear all this. They are now playing some sort of game to see if I recognize the city code and area code. The area code i want im told is unavailable seems unlikely, but ok we move on. About to finish up and get to discounts mention im a veteran. Employee starts to passively aggressively make several statements implying that im not a veteran. During all of this im sitting on a long table with customers about a foot away from me on both sides who can hear this whole conversation. Seemed like some type of attempt to embarrass me but done in a way that was passive aggressive so they could deny it. Finish up and it seems like they just want to get me out of the store like i dont belong there. read more

After already being charged activation fees, prorated charges, the cost of the new device and taxes, they tried to charge me a $29 fee to switch the ESIM card from my new line to my old line. I worked for a cell phone company for YEARS and it was only the shady authorized retailers that pulled these types of scams. Corporate locations are held to a higher standard, not to scam customers out of more money to do something that only their company can do!! I even had their customer service on the line at 611 telling them they shouldn't be charging for this service. All they care about is money. This is a pretty bad Verizon location, although I'm not sure any of them are any good anymore. Associates and managers are pretty rude and also incompetent. They will say one thing and then it's a totally different story when you get your bill. Came in trying to get a new phone and ended up with a bill $50 more a month, when I was told even with upgrade my monthly payments would stay the same. Employees in store don't care to make it better, despite them being the ones who provide the false information. Whether it was a mistake or not, no ownership is shown and they will blame you. I went to Verizon in Clifton with my service dog on Saturday April 5th 2025 to get a new sim card for my new phone. As soon as I walked in a lady named Shanice rudely told me that I could not have my dog in the store. I told her that my dog is a service dog and she told me that I still need to take it outside. Since I know I am backed by federal law I refused and went about my business. I can't belie that Verizon would hire a person like this to help customers. read more

We switched from Credo Mobile and to Verizon, and it was a nightmare. It took 4 days to transfer our numbers to Verizon. The information was confusing--I was told contradictory information by two different Verizon reps and was not sure who to believe. The communication was terrible, and the customer service was appallingly bad. Now, Credo has cut off my service, and Verizon service isn't working. I can't get a human on the phone (using my landline because I have no cell service) and am left completely in the lurch. Wish we had not switched to Verizon. read more

Total joke. Went here to get assistance transferring esim to my new iPhone. The associate here had no clue what he was doing. Insisted I had to go through Apple to activate cellular... Went to Apple and they were scratching their heads. Called Verizon directly and they set up the transfer in 5 minutes. The Verizon employee at this location was sure to let me know he's been working for Verizon for 15 years and there was no way he could help me. High Prices, Low "Services"! I have a $340-something, monthly, bungled bundle plan with Verizon. It's "bungled" as Verizon fails to quickly resolve any problem/problems, with the Verizon landline home phone, internet, and/or television services in my home! Right now, a Verizon Fios box for my main television isn't working - YET AGAIN! A rude, inept, Verizon technician put in a supposedly new Fios box a few months ago, only for Verizon to now claim I need another, new box! So, the Verizon robot scheduled another, Verizon tech for today between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m., only for that tech not to show up! No problem, right? Just call Verizon "customer service" at 1-800-VERIZON? Wrong! Verizon wastes hours of my precious time, as I try to get Verizon to REALLY correct their service problems. Agents tell me: "try this;" "try that;" since they don't want to send any qualified technician to fix their flawed "services!" I PAY fees for techs to come to me, and I pay time, as customer service workers fail to connect me to competent managers! I get so sick of holding on for live workers and managers, I must switch to another provider/providers. But to whom? Equally large, impersonalized, AT&T, which also fails to provide me with great customer service, as I keep paying for my longtime, cell phones and services? Perhaps it's just me. But shouldn't customers be able to quickly speak with knowledgeable, helpful workers who actually resolve problems with services? We customers deserve more than robots, as we spend hundreds of dollars monthly, for internet, home/cell phones, and/or television services! read more

I've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. I have never had a worse experience than I had at this location. I spent 3 hours to purchase 4 phone and an Apple Watch with a trade in. Not only did I have to purchase them online myself while in the store they refused to provide any assistance stating the manager won't allow them and we are taking to long. They would not activate the phone on site and said we needed to make an additional appointment after 3 hours there. Besides the fact after returning to return the trade ins, they told us after purchasing an Apple Watch that they would not accept the trade in. Horrible service, poor communication and false information. People around us both times visiting expressed the same frustration. read more

I had no idea that Verizon stopped caring about their senior customers, I asked if I can get a discount being that both my husband and I are AARP members. We have both been with Verizon for many years and I was told they do not offer senior discounts. Wow color me surprised, I do remember when Verizon did care about their clientele. Time to look into other wireless services. I know it would be a huge help to AARP members and loyal customers to get a discount providing they are AARP members. And educate your employees on it all so , a huge majority of your employees have no idea what AARP is, I know a few years back this was offered for your cell phone customers b/c my Uncle was given a discount b/c he is an AARP member. read more

Walked into Verizon today to purchase a new phone & was met with disappointment after disappointment. First of all, the representative clearly did not want to be there. He was not helpful at all - could not answer basic questions about the difference between two iPhone options. I decided to pay for a new phone in full but he put me on a contract with month-to-month billing. He did not disclose the multiple taxes & fees or full purchases that I paid in-store. I was not given a paper receipt & instead an email one but I DIDN'T HAVE A WORKING PHONE so I couldn't view the amount I paid. As I was attempting to set up the phone in store he suggested I do it on cellular data so I could do it in transit - as if he wanted me to leave so I didn't realize the MULTIPLE errors that occurred. Unacceptable customer service. I called Verizon and had a wonderful experience that thankfully reimbursed these unnecessary charges and relieved a lot of my frustration. I have reported both this store and the employee. I hope they review their customer service habits and learn from this. read more

I really hate this store every time I go here there's always something going on that makes me hate this store more.. Customer "care" is very rude.. To make the long story short I've been with verizon for a very long time but I'm under my sisters account.. So I'm trying to get a new plan thats under my name.. Did the application online.. After the whole ordeal with verizon's fraud department they sent me a new sim card even thou I was told that the application has been cancelled because they weren't accepting my proof of address.. Thinking that the order was cancelled, I received an email from UPS yesterday that I have a mail coming today upon checking my UPS account I was surprised that verizon sent me a sim card for the plan that I've applied.. So today the mail was delivered and I checked in the mailbox there was no mail.. Called customer care and explained everything.. I asked if I can just pick up the sim in store and they said YES.. Went to this store to pick up a sim and they refused to give me the sim card because "they cannot do it verizon has to resend the sim card overnight for that".. Called customer care for the 2nd time and the lady that I was talking too called the store and sent me back inside to get the sim.. As instructed by I went back inside.. I was standing behind a bunch of employees the guy in a black shirt was gonna approach me and then lady that took care of me earlier went the guy in a black shirt.. It was the "manager", he was right in front of me and the lady said "thats her what am I gonna do? What am I gonna say?" then she explained what was happening.. Then the manager goes "no no no we don't do it here".. The manager was right in front of me and his back turned.. The lady then approach me again and said the same thing.. Instead of the manager approaching the customer and explaining it, he was just standing doing whatever he was doing and didn't even bother to say something.. Called verizon the 3rd time it was already 8 in the evening I was already dealing with this for 1 hour.. The customer care was trying to reach the store but no answer.. The lady on the phone said they might be closed and I said I'm right in front of the store and they still have customers.. What kind of store would refuse a customer some service.. Customer care tried to locate a store that would give me service and she found one, actually called the store but they're closing in 10 mins.. Should have just went straight to wayne to get my sim card.. Instead wasting my time inside this place.. Wasted two hours of my life to be treated like I was an issue. My fiancée was sent a newer version of her phone because the older one is no longer available. We came in to switch everything over to the new one, 2 minutes after leaving we realized the insurance didn't send an adapter for the auxiliary cord. Waited 25 minutes to be told that they didn't have one in the store and another 15 to be told there was no way to order one. Even better is when Ahmed -a manager- came out and told us 3 times that we were lucky to have gotten a new phone. Then told us that the adapters were just $20 on amazon and that we should just buy one... because they were too incompetent to just tell me this 50 minutes ago? And because it's my responsibility to buy something that should have come with it? The best part was Ahmed's condescending and sarcastic attitude, the fact that he had he audacity to tell me "you could just send back the $850 phone you got and ask for the old one if you want." I called Verizon customer service (60 minutes of my life I will never get back). As a last resort I walked into the Verizon store at Riverside Plaza, Clifton, NJ. John fixed the issue in 30 seconds. My phone is my lifeline so this was a big thing. My blood pressure went back to normal. read more

I had an excellent experience 1/26/2020 I explained I wanted to keep my number not add a number and retain the SIM card in the old phone and get a new one in my new phone. He said ok, he did it without ever trying to sell me anything I didn't want THIS IS A REVIEW OF MY PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE ACTIVATING A PHONE. They havve no problem llying to your face, be careful. I stopped in to switch phones. I'm prepaid and came in with a Samsung to replace my iPhone. I was tolls the old plan would not work with the new phone. I of course was interested in this. When I was at the little tablet to complete my transaction I was shocked. Not only was there a $29 activation fee but my monthly bIll would go up $10 a month not down. When I pointed all this out he had the nerve to stand there and say nothing to explain. Very surprised to experience the fast and competent service when upgrading my device. I was impressed to observe everyone working while my new phone was getting set up. On a busy night they managed to handle everyone seamlessly. They knew their products and bounced from helping me upgrade to a new phone to helping a flip phone owner figure out what was happening on his device. Insurance company tells me since it is not damaged, lost or stolen, they won't replace it for the $150 deductible and that a new phone will come from verizon. I call verizon and they hang up on me. Was out to dinner in Clifton so went to the Verizon store to buy my daughter a gizmo watch. I had previously called a store in Wayne to get information about the gizmo and the rep was very nice on the phone however their store was closing at 8 and I couldn't get there in time and Clifton store was open later. I told the girl about a promotion the Wayne rep told me earlier regarding the activation fee being waived. She rudely said " I don't know what ur talking about" and I said I'll call the other store to be sure. I noticed my phone was on 2% and I don't want the battery to run out so I saw a charger on the table attached to a phone and unplugged the phone. I assumed it was a store model phone but it was the sales rep phone. She then picked up my phone unplugged it and slammed it down and told me that was her phone and not to touch it and gave me a different cord then looked at her coworker rolled her eyes and walked away in the back Then came back and said to me if ur not going to get off the phone I can't help u , I did tell her politely I was waiting for the other guy in Wayne store to give me a definite answer on the promotion. Then she stormed off again and I decided to leave due to her attitude. This store had what I needed but no way I was staying another minute with that horrible woman Definitely shouldn't be in sales. I WOULD GIVE THIS STORE ABSOLUTELY NO STARS IF POSSIBLE. I'm a level headed and understanding person however they messed up WAY too many times. This store single-handedly almost made me move to T-Mobile. Here's why: 1. Told me my upgrade had already been used by a family memeber. SO they had to patch me on one of our lines that was up for an upgrade to score the price. Fine, I had done this before and it took 15 miinutes or so in the store and was a fairly painful process. The rep told me this COULDN'T be done this way and I'd have to have the new phone sit on the line till the next day so my sister would be out of a phone. So after saying I'd call in and do it myself, the guy on the phone said "why didn't they do this in the store for you?" 2. As soon as I left I realized they FORGOT to give me my receipt that made me elligible for my $50 mail in rebate. I had to turn around and go back and get it. 3. As soon as I got home I found out the phone I had just paid $100 for was listed as FREE online. 4. My phone broke before 2 weeks was up and when I went back they had no more in stock so when I asked how I could get a replacement they said "well if you pay $35 we'll restock it." The worst Verizon store I have ever been to! The sales girl with the crazy drawn on eyebrows (aka Tonja) needs to choose a new profession, because a sales clerk is not her forte. I'm not sure what she can do in life because her general attitude and lack of basic fundamental skills are severely limited. The manager, Claudia, can also jump on the band wagon of the going-nowhere-fast-club, as she is essentially useless and does not provide any sort of solution to your issues. Best Buy was always my go to I came here cause it's closer and literally came only to get a SIM card cause I was having issues with my current one and the tech on the phone said any location would replace it. An elderly couple stood for over an hour because a customer had a snacks and toys all over the only one of two benches in the place not allowing waiting customers to sit.
