This is not about Xfinity store in West Orange. This is about Xfinity services period! Avoid Xfinity if you actually expect service. After years as a loyal customer (cable, home security, mobile), this was the worst experience I've had with any company. I scheduled a simple camera replacement and upgrade--was quoted a price, confirmed everything--and when the technician showed up, there was no work order. Three technician visits later, the same issues: wrong orders, missing equipment, and zero progress. The technicians were great, but completely held back by Xfinity's broken system. Customer service is even worse--AI-driven, outsourced, and completely ineffective. No one understands the issue, and you'll waste hours repeating yourself with no resolution. No accountability, no urgency--just frustration. Xfinity is great at selling you services, but terrible at actually delivering or supporting them. I'm canceling everything. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. read more

Then we went into the Xfinity store in Essex Green looking for help and met DeJaun Brookins, the assistant manager of the store. I went to the Woodbridge Xfinity store to exchange a 4K box. I brought the new box home with me hooked it up. Needless to say it did not work. I was on the phone for well over an hour with the tech trying to get the box to operate properly to no avail. He suggested I go back to the store and get another box which I did. I got home went through the process again of hooking the box up, and it did not hook up to the remote once again on the phone with the tech could not get the box to recognize the remote was instructed to bring the box back again to the Xfinity store. The 4K boxes that they have are all rework boxes. I guess they're having issues finally, I got a box to work. It wasn't a 4K box but I'm just happy. I was able to get something to work on my TV set after they just jacked my rates up. read more

Went here 2 different days I was due for a no fee upgrade on my cellphone they lied as when I finally got waited on the guy looked into my account saying I had to payoff my current phone completely before I could get an upgrade this is not what my app says when I tap on my current device . This is false advertisement . Then I asked for my phone to be financed which they've done before I've never missed a payment even paying of my old phone earlier than expected . Another person was there and had been with them 10 years her phone got damaged in the rain and they were giving her a hard time . The salesman don't tell the customer everything when I tried to upgrade my phone on line they said I had to put a down payment on the phone but I'm eligible for a no fee upgrade baloney . Xfinity is a total scam. I will never do business with them again. They make it so easy to sign up for mobile service and absolutely impossible to cancel. Once I realized that they were charging me too much, it took me months to cancel. I had to go in person, called at least five times, and they just kept billing me. I was on a phone plan with my mom and brother and after I was able to cancel my line, it became even more impossible for them to cancel theirs since I had set it up originally. Horrible customer service agents made promises that they didn't keep. I was promised a $100 refund and never got it. I was promised I wouldn't be billed again, and I was. In the end, my mom had to call her bank get a new credit card because they wouldn't stop charging her even though we had cancelled so many times. This isn't event a company, it's a collection of con artists. read more

I moved to the Belleville area in June 2024, an initially looked to have Verizon Fios as my internet provider, yet that service wasn't available at the time. I settled for Xfinity and I haven't been disappointed. I have the 300mbps plan, which is the smallest plan and costs me $40.99 (with tax) per month (with discounts). I typically control my service, and pay my monthly bill via the Xfinity app. Without notice, I saw that my plan was increasing to $60.99 in August. I gave Xfinity a call (800-934-6489) to speak with a rep. That rep told me that the 300mbps plan had been eradicated. He wanted to increase my plan to the 500mbps plan which was $90 per month with a $30 discount and the $10 paperless discount. I would be paying $55 per month. I was confused as looking at the plan he sent me displayed 2 discounts not one. He stated the $30 discount INCLUDED the $10 paperless discount, but why were they listed SEPERATELY. I HUNG UP on this guy, as he was clearly lying and trying to trick me into an upsale. I went into the West Orange Xfinity location, spoke with one of the representatives (Cassandra) and was signed up for the same plan, I am currently under for another 1 year term! The only thing is I didn't get to them within my billing cycle to have my August bill reduced, but that's okay! I advise everyone whom is budgeting carefully, like myself to stick with what works for you NOT what these companies want you to pay out. This is a time we all need to be more financially savvy. read more

First of all I call on the phone. They flatly refuse to give you a live agent. Last week or so I got a live agent and she was wonderful. She said that she would credit the 155.00 but that never happened. Im so down on the poverty that it's a sin. They harass me on email 2 or 3X a week. And I only have Internet essentials. I don't even have cable. They are the GREEDIEST in the cable business. read more

I've had to use this Xfinity store a few times during my service with them. This is a review for this particular store and not the actual service which I definitely have some opinions about. My first major visit here was to return a modem that I was 'renting' from them for my internet service. This was so I could use my own and save the extra $10 or so per month. That all went well but I'm not sure the staff member there entered this because I was still charged for it when the next month came. I then had to call and wait to be credited the following month. Not the most egregious thing, but I feel like that could be avoided and it takes time to have to be on the phone sorting things like this out. My more recent visit was really the opposite. Needing to cancel my service I returned my equipment and did the cancellation process. I appreciate the staff that helped me didn't try goad or convince me to stay on with them. She warned me of the "final bill" that would come for it and gave me my receipt, proving that this was it. That was good, my only issue here was that she didn't have an estimate for how much this "final bill" would be. I appreciate this store for not having to go and have the equipment shipped and wait for confirmation they received it. If you have Xfinity. Being near a store for better or worse is good has its perks. read more

Quick service, clean store, plenty of parking, friendly staff. I came by to swap out a box that wasn't working. I walked in, was immediately greeted by an employee, and I explained my issue. He did a quick authentication of my account and I was able to immediately swap out my problematic box. I was in/out under 5 mins. I've been here 2x so far and each time I've received prompt service. Good customer service is key. Came here to get an additional cable box. Person who serviced me was not paying attention and did not properly entered the box information to my account. Spent nearly 1 hour on the phone with support to only be told the the box was still disabled and part of the reason that it wasn't working. After all of that the box was a dud and I had to go back the next day and got someone who did it correctly and it was just plug and play. read more

I actually just moved away from the region and I forgot to turn in my cable card, so I had to send it via UPS. I was sending two packages that day--also returning my old laptop to my company as I had gotten a new one. Someone where we dropped off the packages taped the packages together, and both were delivered to Comcast in West Orange. The manager called me, said he could see what had happened, he was unattaching them and he'd give the laptop package back to UPS the next day to go out for its proper delivery. Man, that was really above and beyond! A lot of people would just figure they'd gotten a free laptop. I said that to him, and he just said this was the right thing to do. It's so rare these days to run across people who go above and beyond to do the right thing. read more

while I have been very happy with this store in the past and there assistance - today was another story - I had rushed to get there before they close at 5pm and arrived 5-6 minutes before that. unfortunately the staff who had just locked the doors pretended to be oblivious to my knocking. Horrible customer service by Xfinity. Made an appointment for earlier today a couple weeks ago and customer rep on chat confirmed it. Took half a day off work only to not have anyone show up, but when I contacted customer service took 2 hours for them to confirm there was no appointment and asking when I'd like to make a new one. Lol. Wasted better part of a day and completely lost half a day's wages. Verizon may be liars and borderline con men but at least they're not completely incompetent. read more

Extremely disappointed in my experience here and the employees' lack of follow-through. I went here to drop off our Comcast modem, as we had purchased our own. The wait to talk to someone and complete the transaction was too long. Then, even through we had been assured by the sales rep that the return was successful, we were still being charged for the modem month's later. When we called Comcast, the rep had no idea why the transaction didn't go through and couldn't/wouldn't refund us the full amount in overages which we had been charged. I'll be happier when we move to somewhere supported by another provider so I no longer have to deal with Comcast. read more

Surprisingly fast and great service! Comcast ( xifinity) gets a bad rep. To be honest I didn't know what to expect. I pulled up to this location after work (around 6 pm). It was spacious, modern, and my favorite. ...empty! I was greeted by an associate who assisted me with my issue. He was knowledge and worked quick to resolve my issue. I will never ever go to this place . It is run by incompetent teens and fools of adults. Everyone in that is absolutely rude . I went in to buy a pair of headphones. There were 5 people working . We went up to 4 of them to ask to check out. Each one gave a unique and unusual response as to why they couldn't help us. One said " I am new I dont know what I am doing ". Okay appreciate the honesty. Staff needs to be trained more. Then I asked one guy and he said "going to lunch" . Then got bad responses to only see one guy over there dealing with a family. The other guy completely ignored me. Like I was wasting his time and said " its not your turn I am here busy " so I said can someone help me ? And he ignored me. Looked at me like I had 3 heads. Then one guy came over and started fiddling with the computer trying to help. He tried at least but I think he was just buying time for his buddy. read more

I think this is the correct place of the Comcast Service Provider in the Essex Green plaza, in West Orange, next to Panera, that I went to. FYI, the pictures on here isn't what the store looks like. I think the ones here are just stock photos of xfinity stores. Anyway, if this is the right place, this new location is BY FAR better than there hole in the wall location in the Kmart/Whole Foods plaza they use to be in, down the road. They totally upgraded and it now looks and feels like an Apple store! I went in to trade my old cable box for a new one. The staff was efficient and friendly and when asked, the associate, that was tending to me, had no problem explaining exactly how to connect my cables and highlighted everything I needed to know on my receipt to activate my box by phone or online.The experience from the store to installing the box, myself, couldn't have been any easier! read more
