We thought we would try this new place out because we live very close and I love pizza. We arrived around 5:20p not too busy, lots of kids. After a few minutes we got our drinks and order an app. The app came out very fast (Deep Fried raviolis), these were very good. Hot (as expected) and the marinara sauce was tasty. Before the app came out we placed our dinner order. Small thin crust pizza (2 toppings) and a Italian sandwich. It took over 30 mins for our dinner to arrive. The pizza looked good, but unfortunatly that is all it had going for it. 1. The crust tasted like cardboard, not very flavorful at all and parts tasted almost doughy 2. The BBQ sauce (I had one of their "specialty pizzas") was only burnt around the crust, didn't seem to have any under the topping. 3. To much chicken for the size of pizza. The chicken also tasted like it came from Costco's rotisserie selection. 4. There only seemed to be a few slices of onion Overall I would suggest you go do Little Caesars or Domino's across the street. You will have a better and cheaper pizza. Also the service was terrible. very slow for not being to crowded. And they didn't even ask why I didn't eat or want a box for 3/4 of the pizza that was left behind. We wont be back to this place. Ordered a gluten free pizza for pickup that was also on the menu listed as "cheese free" also. Got very excited because being lactose intolerant, I haven't been able to find a place outside of SF that offers non-dairy pizzas. Received the pizza and it had cheese on it. The employee at the restaurant said that there's no way to make a pizza without cheese on it, and didn't offer a refund or any type of apology for the misleading advertising. I have spent 30 plus years managing large customer service centers in the US and India, so when I put a stellar mark on customer service, I have some experience. Let me talk about my recent interaction with Vero. My wife and have have several meals there and all are amazing. Last night we had a couple of beverages and though Vero is only 2 miles away, we of course were doing the responsible thing ordering delivery. Unfortunately we were forced to use the garage app Postmates. Postmates gave us a message that we were too far for delivery. After several failed interactions with Postmates, we finally got a representative that explained that it was a generic error that if a delivery driver decides to not work that night and they don't have anyone, then that is the message. We called Vero to let them know they may be losing business due to Postmates. Here is where Vero steps up. Vero calls back later stating they can have one of their people deliver. Unfortunately at that point we had ordered from Papa John's. I will ALWAYS remember this AND we will be ordering from Vero tonight! I will now always be loyal. They have thin crust a deep dish butter crust and pan pizzas plans apps, sandwiches etc. We tried a thin crust pizza that had fresh mushroom, onions that were crisp but sweet, pepperoni and sausage. The crust was perfectly done-crispy and not soggy. It was cooked long enough so that the cheese on top was browned and bubbly. They didn't skimp on the cheese or toppings. Because of their enormous take-out business and the fact that they create each pie from scratch, getting your food is a bit slow, but worth the wait. The appetizers come out reasonably quickly, though, as well as the drinks, at least if you get our server. My favorite, aside from their Calzones, is the Lake Shore Drive pizza with extra toppings.
