    Inside seating

I've been coming to Verona Pizza for a while now and have always had a good experience. The parking lot is large and convenient, but the restaurant itself isn't very big. There is a small outdoor seating area, but I wouldn't recommend it for large groups because space is limited. They get very busy, so I highly recommend calling your order in ahead of time. They provide an order number, and when you arrive, your food is usually ready for pickup. Since the inside can get crowded with customers waiting for orders, calling ahead makes the process much easier. The cheesesteaks are really good, and I've also enjoyed their pizza. The service is good, and the staff seem to work well together to keep things moving and make sure customers get what they need. Overall, I enjoy coming here. It's not very close to where I live, but I still stop by and order when I'm in the area.

After a 3 hour hike at Wissahickon, no better way to reward ourselves than with Verona's pizza and cheesesteak. I live an hour away from Verona so when I heard this place was only a 15 min drive away from our hike, I knew I had to stop by. The well known Verona's did not disappoint. Unique to this pizzeria, the pizzas AND cheesesteaks are award winning. The wife and I ordered one of each. When we pulled up, this place was packed for 12PM. It hustlin and busslin! I ordered at the desk and waited maybe 25 mins (not bad at all for ordering in the spot and with the place being busy). Pizza: we ordered the "Hot Honey" at $27. We attacked this thing within 2 minutes of coming out the oven. Incredible dough with depth and texture. Perfect balance of sweet (sauce/honey) and savory (pepperonis/grated parm). Topped with fresh basil and hot honey. I wished there was more hot honey but to each their own. Elite pizza!! I highly recommend Cheesesteak ($18): we ordered it with fried onions and Cooper Sharp. Delicious bread, I'm assuming it's home made and if it's not it's definitely high quality bread. Tender ribeye steak chopped and mixed beautifully with the cheese and onions. Meaty sandwich for sure. I prefer my cheesesteaks a bit more cheesier but I was a happy camper as was my wife. All in all, this joint is pumping out top tier "pizzeria food". This will be my post hike reward anytime I'm in the area. Dare I say Verona's goes toe to toe with Angelo's Pizzeria (highly regarded pizzeria) as best in the state! 5/5

I gotta update my review cause I now tried this place a few more times. I take it back with the cheese steak... It's top 2 for me at this point. Gosh the more I eat it, the better it got for me. The classic margarita pizza is ok but... Hot and honey pepperoni mamamiya. Get it. Don't ask questions. Just get it.

Been hearing about this place for months & finally got a chance to try! Did not disappoint. Although it was packed, we got our food very fast. Ordered a cheesesteak, slice of drunken grandma and slice of upside down. Both slices were crispy & not floppy--with fresh basil, the savory sauces, and super fine Parmesan! Next time, I definitely want to try the buffalo chicken. The cheesesteak was top notch (similar to Angelo's or Cafe Carmela's). Seeded roll somehow held the massive amount of meat & coop sharp! We easily split 1 but if you feel extra hungry, it'll definitely satisfy your craving.

I made my husband come here. I saw an ad for this place pop up on Facebook or something, maybe some of my friends came here I think . It looked really good in photos. The cheesesteak was very good. I like that it had a lot of cheese on it. Sometimes places only put cheese on the bottom and it's kinda dry. There is so much meat in it. I could have split one with him instead of us each getting one. My husband wasn't as happy with his. He wanted a different type of cheese- he likes provolone. He also got a little piece of bone in his meat. Overall a solid cheesesteak though , I enjoyed mine. I would come back if we're around the area shopping.

I have been hearing about this place from my friends, online foodies , etc , blah blah blah for years and I drive past all the time but never stop. Today I decided to stop and I am glad I did . It is a fun atmosphere with everyone taking photos of their food and out of towners following the hype , I saw a bunch New York mow rons unpacking out of an Escalade. The service is great for a tiny 5 seat restaurant that sells thousands of cheesesteaks each weekend. I saw a review, forget who , on Facebook about the pizza , it was a solid review that highlighted the quality and time that they take making the dough. I had my preconceived impressions about the cheesesteak by the reviews my friends have given me and from the pictures of the food. My preconceptions were spot on for the cheesesteak but the pizza was a surprise. The choice was the grandma pizza which I have seen reviews and it was definitely one of the best pizzas I have ever had . The sauce was tasty and bountiful, cheese .. quality but the crust was unlike anything I have had . It was super thin but really crispy on the bottom and I think they definitely do something special to the crust, almost like they put butter or oil on the crust to make it crispy.. very good. The cheesesteak, obviously really good but I won't order it again. The roll was really good but a little too soft on the outside, I was expecting a firm crispy outer crust with a soft inside. The steak was excellent and there was tons of meat , tons of cheese and lots of onions. The onions were cooked good and tasty but nothing ground breaking... the main issue I had was there was too much cheese, you can see it in every picture posted, I love cheese but I feel it overwhelmed the sandwich. I couldn't eat this during the work week , it would cause a good coma and that's why I never tried this place. The prices are fine for the quality of the food and it's in a nice area. I will definitely be back for the pizza and maybe a wing review, which I haven't seen yet! I think this place lives up to the hype but the cheese steaks are the star of the show but the grandma pizza is the best thing I had.

Simply put, the best pizza I've ever had. And that's no exaggeration. Drove about 40 minutes here after seeing so many reviews and it's 100% worth it. Light and air crust and the sauce to cheese ratio was perfect. And hot honey on top of the cupped pepperoni was simply a feeling I can't explain. Cheesesteak was good! But not sure it lived up to some of the hype. Wish it had a little more cheese and the roll wasn't my favorite. But the meat was cut and chopped great and loaded on for sure. Cooper sharp with onions.

Finally got to check out one of the hottest sandwiches in the Philly Area! Pros and Cons for Verona Pizza: Pros: Great quality steak Housemade Hard Seeded Rolls Perfect meat to cheese ratio Plenty of space to sit down and eat your food here. Tables were clean, staff was consistently checking on customers and seeing how the experience was. Pizza was tasty! Got the upside down pie. The prices weren't too bad for the size of the sandwich! Cons: I would have to really look hard to find a con here...well done Verona!

Let me just start off by saying don't walk ... RUN here!!! I found this place on Instagram and I got more than I asked for in the best way. Somehow we arrived just before the lunch rush which was nice. I had no idea that this place was famous for their cheesesteaks, but I now know why. They were the best steaks I've ever had. The portions are gargantuan-- some of the biggest steaks I've ever seen. Two people can share one steak. The slices are also massive!! I wish this place wasn't 30 min away or this would be my go to pizza place. 10/10!!! Side note: There is some seating inside & the service is relatively fast.

I wish this place was closer because this was SO good! Meat was so tender and the cooper sharp cheese wasn't too much! Pizza was the best!! Great crisp, great sauce, and love the ricotta!

10000% YES. How we are so lucky to have moved so close to Verona is beyond me! Dangerously close, honestly. The cheesesteaks are as good as they are hyped up to be. A crispy seeded roll over-floweth with cheesy meat and onions. It's so tasty you want to just keep eating it but it's so big that it's impossible. This sandwich will last you at least 2 meals, maybe 3 or 4 depending. Honestly, how I prefer it (leftovers queen over here). Though, they do not have any gluten free options, J got his no roll and man, did they pack this container solid with all the goodness. Pizza is next on the list to try!

This place was on both my dads and finances list of places to try their cheesesteaks and pizza. First the positives - the smell of this food, amazing ! The cheesesteaks were so heavy and perfectly cooked with a good ratio of cheese to steak. Sometimes too many places load up way too much cheese. I liked the seeded roll and the onions were cooked well an the perfect ratio. The margherita pizza had a great sauce flavor and the basil was super fresh and nice. I liked how the pizza was prepared. Overall a great spot. I will say the place was very bus and very chaotic. It was not orderly inside and it made it very hard to be waited on. All of the tables were packed and then there were a ton of people waiting. After being called to the register they handed me a receipt which I guess had a number on and they shout the orders by numbers not your name. Honestly a little chaotic. Their online ordering doesn't work and if you don't like pizza or steaks there really isn't much else to order - it's a very small selection. There is ample parking and outside seating as well. I'd definitely go back if I'm craving a cheesesteak, probably the best I've had outside of Philly.

The wait was a little longer than expected considering we pre-ordered pick up. The cheesesteak is phenomenal and well worth the trip.

Good call because one square was the perfect amount for dinner. And now we have a few meals to heat up for the next few days. The drinks were excellent and the pizza was outstanding. Great flavor. Our server Ally was welcoming and friendly and top notch on service. It is the middle of winter so we weren't considering outside dining, but they have a great outdoor space near the street. It was fairly empty, but I'm assuming it's because they only recently extended their hours to 7pm on weekends for the early dinner crowd. I'd love it if they would further extend dinner hours and market themselves as a dinner option. We made a good one. We were greeted warmly at this corner store with street parking and the place was empty of customers when we arrived. The front displays of available homemade pies were inviting. They also had a mini-fridge of drinks like Snapple and Poppy and some others. But the Cafe also has all types of coffee and some breakfast and lunch items. My wife ordered an egg on croissant with a side of fruit. She also ordered a latte. I went with the chicken pot pie with a side salad. I didn't catch that the pot pie was actually a hand-pie (kind of like an empanada) but it is listed on the menu. Both the croissant and hand-pie crusts were excellent. Buttery and flaky. My chicken pot pie did not have much chicken, but did have flavor. There were nice spices like thyme in there. Definitely you can taste the homemade in there. My salad had micrograms and very fresh grape tomatoes and cucumbers. The side fruit was fresh and crunchy in small pieces. The place seats a couple of dozen people and had quite comfortable cloth seats. We decided to get a whole pie to go home with us and chose the key lime. Wow. Tangy and tart with the sweet graham cracker crust and whip cream. Loved it. The pie was just under $40 and the food about the same. I don't remember specifically this time. Pie and Plate Cafe is a winner with homemade scratch made food and nice coffees. The pies were excellent.
