Place is simple the service a lil slow they were busy but still took time check on us when they had time. Friendly. Place clean mirrors fan tv. I came for the papa huancaina but they didnt have. I guess we will come back for that. Nice history with papa huancsina. Something to do eith building rail tryoad from Lima to Huanca. Got lomo soltado. A 10 yummy favors. The green sauce added more flavor. Wife got bistec a la pobre. Give it 8.5 yummy but the steak got hard in middle of eating still yummy. The ceviche mixto a 10 but theres a wow amazing flavor. Its simple flavor with the lime and spicy medium. But together with the corn and sweet potato. Fresh and just yummy. Have a nice day! Check out pictures

I had been wanting to try this place out for a while and finally made it happen. It was hard not to order 5+ dishes on their menu because everything looked so good!!! My family tried jalea, papas à la huancaina, and the lomo saltado. Everything was delicious and freshly prepared, the service was friendly, and the space was clean and family friendly. We already can't wait to come back.

I got their lomo saltado since I've been craving it. The beef is moist and tender and the sauce was not too salty. The red onions and chopped tomatoes with the french fries absorbed the sauce well with the fluffy rice. The staff is nice, the parking can get packed.

    Chorizo Burrito

I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and my husband ordered the bistec a lo pobre. I was craving a good breakfast burrito and man did they deliver! All the salsas had great flavor too there wasn't one I didn't like. The burrito was very filling. The tortilla was soft and chewy, chorizo had a nice spice, and plenty of potato, egg, and cheese was in each bite. There wasn't a price under the bistec a lo probre, so when it rang up over $20 we were shocked but still wanted to try it. Would we say it's worth $20? Kind of. There's a lot of rice and potatoes on the plate so you're filling up on a lot of carbs. The meat was a little chewy, but the plantains were our favorite part of the plate, nice and crispy edges just the way we like them! The restroom was pretty dirty, trash overflowing and needed a good cleaning. Lots of flies around too but I chose not to think about that too much haha the food was great. The service was amazing, the lady working the front was so sweet! Overall we enjoyed our visit here and we'll definitely be back!

Thought I would give this place a try once again after a while. This was my fourth time ever being here, but my first after a few years. Writing this place off and not coming back after this last experience. The mother and son were very nice. They're nice, that is, until they receive any type of valid criticism from what I remember from last time and from what I've read of others' critical reviews. The mother takes any valid criticism and handles it extremely poorly and very unprofessionally. I didn't give an opportunity to experience that once again. Although I'm a bit frustrated that I tipped because, again of the idiotic tipping system at the register before even getting the food or any kind of service, and just crossing my fingers, hoping I get well-intentioned, properly prepared food. The Chaufa de Mariscos was tragically bland. I don't know what it's supposed to taste like, but it was the flattest, blandest, most soulless fried rice I've ever tasted in my entire life, literally. There was absolutely nothing to the "flavor" other than cooking oil, salt and maybe some black pepper. How do you hold your head up and not feel guilty for charging people $20 for that after being in operation for 13 or so years? I saw other people's reviews that actually have some sense of what halfway decent food is, and they've said the same exact thing basically since you've opened. I couldn't fathom taking money from people, especially as ridiculously as you over-charge - from customers you serve day in and day out for as long as you have. Doesn't your conscience bother you when you're doing that? The Ceviche Mixto was decent, not great, especially considering that it was served in a sectioned polystyrene to-go container, where the peanuts and hominy each were separated from the rest of the ceviche, and they ran out of (something I frequently read in other people's reviews) of yams. It didn't taste right with the ingredients separated. The corn was really warm and soft, instead of having a nice bite and being chilled with the rest of the ceviche. The dish was just off being served that way, instead of mixed together in a single, unsectioned container. I know you'll just think that you'll be happy that I'm not coming back...after reading other people's negative experiences here since you've opened, and from my personal experience last time, you'll be too stubborn to look at your shortcomings, being blinded by your pride. The other reviews stating the lack of cleanliness is something I would like to echo as well. The unused kitchen/ cooking appliance sitting in the back area of the dining area and in front of the restroom for as long as it has is distasteful and shows a lack of real pride in wanting to provide a welcoming, presentable, pleasant atmosphere for your customers to dine in. Each time I've been in, there are very little to no customers - between 0 & 2 people that were in besides me, and I can see why. Anyway, don't mind me. I'm just baffled as to how deeply disappointing and gutting my entire experience has been living in this place for the entire duration I've unfortunately had to live here. There are very, very few people I've come across around here that hold high standards and intentions to deliver the best service possible, echoing a general deep respect for their mutual human beings. There's an overwhelming amount of fakeness with people smiling in your face but acting poorly and even horribly, everywhere I go here. And it's pretty baffling coming from a major city. You would think it's worse in the big city, and it's absolutely not. The way the vast majority of businesses are run around here basically just barely works at a bare minimum, and everyone puts up with it and sustains a low level of standard that just permeates throughout this place. You guys doing what you're doing for as long as you have obviously gets you by and works for you and your clientele. I guess, stick with it, or if you decide to try to evolve your business, I hope you begin to set a higher standard for everyone else to look up to and try to meet around here, changing things for the better. In the meanwhile, I'll just keep on trying to maintain any narrow trace of sanity I have left in me for as minimally long as I have to still live here. It's a miserable experience being constantly disappointed in the lack of integrity around here, every single day, throughout the day that I experience being here. What a horrific experience having to live here.

Carne Asada Taco and Al Pastor Taco

I came to the shopping center for something else and noticed this place while driving out and decided to stop and saw it had good Yelp reviews so I decided to try it out! I ordered 1 carne asada taco and then 1 Al pastor taco and they were both delicious! The green salsa was also flavorful and tasty! These are probably my favorite tacos I've had in Temecula since moving here last year. The cashier was super friendly and spoke great English and Spanish. I ended up ordering a third taco even though the two were enough food just cause it was so good and I wanted another! The interior has a homey feel, not upscale but pleasant. I will definitely come back and I'm excited to try other dishes.

    What we ordered

First time here and was very happy with the experience. Seems like a mom and pop shop and who seemed like the owners were very personable and accommodating. We came for the Peruvian food and ordered the lomo Saltado and the pollo saltado(white meat) along with the extra order of fried plantains and a large orange bang and we were set. No need to drive an hour away to find decent Peruvian and glad we found this restaurant place.

    Pollo saltado

Very good Peruvian food, I got the Pollo saltado and it was very good. I would recommend and go there again

    Melina N.

I love coming to La Choza. As a Bolivian, the Peruvian food is as close as I can get! I love their kindness and the sense of family that I get when I come. The portions are big, freshly made and so full of flavor!

Used to be three taquitos, rice, beans, and lettuce . Now it's just a crime scene
    Laura N.

I ordered the three taquitos combo today and it was so flavorful. The rice was bussin 5 big booms! As you can see in my photo, I really enjoyed my plate. Thank you again, and you will definitely be seeing me more.

I been living and driving right by this place for over a year and again I didn't know it was there. But I found it!!!! Oh yes I did. It's delightful. The lady that took our order was so sweet. They cook the food directly when you walk in the door and it smells fantastic. My husband always has to try carne asada fries and I of course had the enchilada plate with chili rejenos with some beans and rice. I am not a huge rice fan but this rice was good. Like really good. Everything was super tasty and I really enjoyed the customer service and attentiveness. Try this place out it's worth it.

We tried the aguadito, lomo saltado, aji gallina, chaufa rotisserie, tamal, ceviche, lacuma ice cream, maracuya sour, and chicha morada sour. EVERY SINGLE THING WE ORDERED WAS DELICIOUS!!!!! The aguadito was literally a home cooked meal that touches your soul! I got it as much as I could. The ceviche had such good flavor. The rotisserie chicken was so well cooked. The maracuya and chicha sour drinks were amazing! Both have sweet profiles but their not over powering. I added Tajin on my rim! We were so happy with everything we got and it felt like your grandmother was in the back cooking your food! Not only was the food delicious but the servers were so friendly and attentive. There was a nice and intimate ambiance with seating both inside and outside. Sorry we didn't have more pictures, we dove into quickly and licked our plates! Well, Peruvian Fuego did not reach that. Our waiter and staff was excellent and attentive, which was pleasing. And the patio was nice, although the music was a bit loud. We ordered empanadas and two chickens. The empanadas were tasty. A bit different in texture than what I'm used to, but the filling was nice....beef, onions, raisins. But the chicken? Even though these were supposedly smoked, I smelled only the faintest of smoke. The birds had ZERO juiciness, although they were reasonably tender. I guess I got used to that huge rotating rotisserie at the place I mentioned in Los Angeles with 100 birds going at any time, so what you got was right out of the fire. Here, the chicken tasted it it may have been very lightly smoked and then reheated a day or two later. That may or may not be the case, but It just wasn't special. It was marginally better than El Pollo Loco. Update: 1 day later after being in the fridge, I could taste the smokiness much more prominently. I shredded the remaining chicken (breasts and wings), simmered it in lime juice and chicken brothn to make it tender, and had it in tacos. Delicious! The rice was good. The salads ok--fresh but not really dressed. I didn't like their aji. I'd like to try some other items. They have a nice full Peruvian menu. But all in all, the food I had didn't grab me enough to make me want to come running back.
