They get two stars because my dog loved Pearl, and she did a pretty good job with her when she had a full grooming. However, their booking method is absolutely horrible. They don't get back to you when they say they will. It took few attempts on my part to get Laressa to get back to me about the first appointment. Usually, if I don't hear back from a business, I will move on to someone else but I was desperate and they were the only mobile groomers who had an opening within the time frame that I needed. When I spoke to her on the phone again to book the next appointment, (on the same day as my first appointment, literally right after my dog got handed back to me) she said she didn't have her calendar on her so she would call me back in a couple of hours or just put me down for the day we discussed and then just text me. She never called me back or texted me. So, I give up. They're overpriced compared to other mobile groomers in my area anyways. read more

My sister in law recently had her dog groomed by Laressa. She wanted someone who would treat her pup with care. She understands the price for quality work and expected that. Sadly that wasn't the case. Her main concern was her pups nails and paw hair. Laressa let her know a full wash was needed in order to do that so she agreed. She was very kind to me and the pup as I was the one who was there to welcome her. I reminded her about his nails and paws as that was the main reason why he was getting groomed. After she finished she told me she was unable to do his nails properly because he didn't let her. She explained that it may take time to get him use to getting his nails trimmed so he won't be 'traumatized'. Upon inspection she didn't get his hair on his paws either. She managed to wash him and trim his butt hairs. She did send him off with a nice bandanna and tug toy which is a nice touch. This service cost her $150. Again, my SIL appreciates good quality work and is Willing to pay for it, but she felt Laressa fell short of that. She paid her but, discussed with me that she would not be moving forward with her only because she felt as it was too much money for a wash since Laressa made it clear that it might take a couple of appointments before he would let his nails be trimmed. She decided to continue to wash him at home and try to work with him on her own. Laressa then asked for some feed back in which my SIL was hesitant but honest with the experience. Laressa then proceeded explain to her her process in which she does not like to 'force' pups. When my SIL didn't respond she proceeded to go live on Instagram talking about her and and how she could 'force' the pup if that's was she wanted which was a little condescending. She went on about how she does quality work and her prices are based on labor and travel which is understandable. She seemed pretty upset over the whole situation. My SIL never said anything mean she just simply explained why she wasn't going to move forward with her. Laressa is very clear on her no return policy but I do think she need to be a little more transparent with her clients that way they can make an informed decision to move forward. If she would have explained to her that if she failed to get his nails and paws trimmed the price would not change my SIL would have been able to decide weather or not she wanted to pay the $150 with a chance of her not getting what she needed. I am sure Laressa is great at what she does and has many regular clients. Our experience with her fell short and her reaction with it was really upsetting. read more
