I tried the smoke stack and I'm sorry to say it was so sweet it tasted like syrup and I could barely taste the coffee or the smoke flavor.

I can't believe my sister was this close to Vespr and I had never been. Their coffee selection is on point! I came in pre-COVID and the space was huge and open, without feel crowded. I ordered a Vespr classic, the Cafe Old Fashioned - cold brew with bourbon infused maple syrup, and aromatic bitters. It was served in-house only, and I wasn't sure why until the drink came out like the coolest cocktail. Looked like a darker version of the Old Fashioned cocktail. The glass was topped with cocktail cherries, which was a nice touch. The cold brew was strong and lightly sweetened by the syrup. Too bad I can't sip my morning coffee like this everyday!!! Really cool place that came a s a recommendation to me. I had heard of this place, but did not know where it was.. Turns out I had passed it on the road many times as it sits right off of Alafaya in the Waterford Lakes area. That noted, the signage out front does not draw attention to itself.....you have to look for it , then you'll see it! In any case, I'm always up to try new coffee shops.....so I went in. The service was really friendly and aI ordered a Lavender coffee which is what was recommended to me by the person sho suggested that I check it out. Truthfully, Lavender coffee is not usually my thing, but it seemed interning enough to try out....so I did. It was definitely tasty. I really enjoyed it and would like to tru some other options here as well. I'll definitely be back to try more! read more

Vespr is lovely. The staff are unbelievably friendly, kind. If you are having a bad day, definitely go visit. It's nice to have someone treat you so well when it's been a rough day. The drinks are on point or fleek as some would say. The food is nice and light. I enjoyed the treats without feeling it was heavy and it brought me back to my college days when you can lounge around and just spend some time reading the afternoon away or meet your study group. This was my first time at vespr and it was sooo good. Puts other chain coffee places to shame. I love the vibe of the coffee shop and the staff was super friendly. I got a guava pastry and a smok stak to drink. Both were incredible. I will definitely go back to have another Smok stak. This place is also perfect for UCF students to study at. I've been to Vespr a couple times now, and have always had a pretty good experience! Today I grabbed a quick hot vanilla latte with oat milk on my way into work. Vespr has a great amount of seating along with some good table space, perfect for if you're trying to knock out some work. Also seems like a good spot if you're looking somewhere to grab a cup of coffee and hangout with friends. The coffee was definitely good, but isn't my #1 go to. One word that comes to mind when I think of Vespr Coffeebar? Chill. The atmosphere here is very laid back and relaxed. The dim lighting and music here make this a nice place to get comfortable and sip on a solid cup of joe. Speaking of our good friend joe (who decided to call coffee a cup of joe?), the caffeinated beverages here are indeed solid. The barista working the bar was absolutely terrific. Engaging customer service and clearly knew what he was doing. We had a very nice conversation. I always love when baristas try to start a conversation. I had a large black americano. Very interesting flavor profile. It had some smokey and fruity notes. Very unique, I must say. My only criticism of Vespr is the pricing. The drinks are on the pricier side, and I feel like I can get a similar experience at less expensive coffee shops. However, I am thankful for the experience here and I would be more than happy to return on occasion! read more

Visited this coffee bar while at Verizon next-door. They had a great seasonal menu so I chose the mom's coffee. It is basically a lavender latte with vanilla in it. Unfortunately, It missed the mark for me. It did not seem that it had any depth to it. I am not sure if it was the espresso or if it was the homemade syrup, but it just completely off. I believe the owner and maybe her daughter were there, I'm not sure but she ended up helping me again after I tasted the drink. I asked for a little bit more oat milk and for a little bit more of the syrup to make it a little sweeter. They do charge for alternative milk, that are other than the standard, and she did seem a little offended when I told her that I needed more sweetener. The girl who also made my drink was very obviously asking her what was wrong with it. That's a no go for me. They were also eating some thing that looks like a biscotti and they were making my drink with the same hands they were eating with. Not very sanitary. Also, the cup for it to go was not filled to the top. It was mostly foam. I ended up throwing the drink away after I left the store. It was so sad to waste $6.66. I probably will not revisit, but maybe get something different. Unfortunately, the larger chain always gets the drinks on point. read more

I may not remember the VESPR theory from inorganic chemistry, but I sure will remember the freshly roasted coffee and the friendly staff at VESPR! VESPR is my to-go coffee shop. It's not only a place with good coffee, but also a decent study spot. The place is near UCF main campus and I find it enjoyable studying with other people of my age group. Makes me feel like I'm reliving my undergraduate life all over again. The coffee shop itself is quite spacious. There are plenty of parking spots in the plaza. The only problem is that there is a limited number of outlets. If you come in the afternoon, the place could get jam packed and you might not get an outlet. So try to get here early in the morning. Other than that, VESPR has yet to disappoint me! read more

I came to the coffee shop with one of my friends for a quick pick me up in the afternoon. The workers are very nice and polite. When you walk in you'll probably see a bunch of local college students using their Wi-Fi and sipping lattes. It's very quiet and they have a few options for people who are vegetarian which I greatly appreciated. I ordered an oat milk chai latte and my friend had a regular latte! Had a nice little coffee date with my mom here yesterday. It is lil dark a moody place with great coffee and yummy pastries. I was so excited when I saw a guava danish on the menu. I love guava but I live in NC and no one ever has guava menu items. I also ordered a latte and my mom got a mocha latte and avocado toast. We paid up front, sat inside, and the barista brought us our food and drinks. Only took a few minutes. It was not very crowded at all around 9:45am. Fair warning that the avocado toast has a hefty dose of red pepper flakes on it which my mom didn't know and wasn't a fan of how spicy it was lol. BUT it looked amazing and was very filling she said. LAVENDER BITTERS I usually get coffee from Starbucks as I can get sugar free options and almond milk. That being said I usually don't stray to other places. So when I came here I asked the barista Alicia to recommend something for me. She made me a delicious almond milk latte with lavender bitters, vanilla extract, and Splenda for sweetness. So first off, I have no idea how this was my first time checking in to Vespr- I must be a terrible Yelper, because I've been here at least four times despite checking in for the first time today. The coffee here is pretty good and the vibe is nice. Plenty of space, fairly quiet, great taste in music, and a delicious selection of pour-overs. Not my favorite Central Florida coffee shop but in the top 5 for sure. The prices are above average, but hey, it's like a few cents more than Starbucks for far better quality- their beans are lightly roasted so not too bitter at all. They've got a selection of snacks and food that I haven't tried. Definitely seems to be popular with the college students, but not the annoyingly loud kind. Will continue to be my go to in the East Orlando area. The staff is friendly and willing to answer any and all questions and they have a good selection of milks/ alternative milks as well as heavy cream. I'd been looking forward to my next trip to Vespr for a year. In fact, when we drove to Orlando from Tampa to do an escape room, we made a special trip for it, driving an extra 30 minutes just to go. Upon walking in, I was immediately disappointed. The place has zero character now. Blank, black wall behind the counter where the menu used to be written, dirty, barren walls... what was this place I'd entered that I'd once loved so much? Even the pastry case was gone, replaced with some old books for pastry stands - flat, boring. It did not inspire me to buy. Nevertheless, we had gone out of our way to be there, so I ordered a blueberry scone and a Mars Rise affogato. The scone was warmed up, which I appreciated, but it was way too dry. I make my own scones. I've eaten scones in London. These were not good. The only positive was that there were plenty of blueberries. I ate the whole thing, because it was expensive, and I didn't want to throw it out. I guess you could say I was really eating my words from my last, glowing review. The affogato was very good, and that's the main reason I'm lowering my review to only three stars and not two. The ingredients were creative and presented beautifully. It was the only thing that reminded me of how great Vespr used to be. My friend ordered the only other special drink on the menu that looked good. It came in a tiki glass with an umbrella and was cute to look at. The taste was not pleasant. Overall, we were so depressed by this experience. What on earth happened to this place? It was still packed with people studying, which indicates that business is still good. We did, however, see that someone had taken a sip from their drink and then left the remainder in the trash bin.
