I think all I can say is: they did their best. As in they did what they felt was the best option. This establishment is really just there to hold your pet over until you can get to your actual vet. I took my dog here four times over a month due to various issues and everything they diagnosed was wrong. I had to pay THOUSANDS of dollars for medication that did nothing, X-rays that were not needed or ever used, $165 exam fees, and they were never able to give me any answer as to what was wrong. They even tried to convince me to hospitalize her. Which again, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I took her to the actual vet and she had cancer. A week later she was dead. I'm not sure why this establishment doesn't have better testing? And I'm not sure why they give medication as just a "try it". Thanks for your effort I guess? But it did nothing. I 100% feel as though I'm owed a refund, however; I know it'll never happen.

We took our dog here because he had a severe laceration on his back paw. I called before even going because another animal hospital closer was booked up completely. Whoever I spoke with on the phone was very nice and pleasant to talk with even though I was having a panic attack because I had blood all over my kitchen floor. Upon arrival it wasn't really that busy inside but the parking lot had quite a few cars. I started filling the paper work out and a tech came and got our dog to take in the back. We waiting in the car for probably around 30 minutes and someone called us and told us exactly what needed to be done and told us to go home and they would call us in about 2 hours when everything was done. About 2.5 hours later they called and said he was ready to be picked up. The lady at the front desk was nice to us. They gave us a really nice breakdown of every single thing we were getting charged for which was nice to see because the price for anesthesia and stitches was quite higher than I expected but it was Sunday at 7pm there's not much you can do. We went into the examination room and one of the techs came and brought us out dog (she was very nice even though her shift ended right after she was done talking to us, she never showed a single sign of not caring about our questions we had for post op). I was nervous about going here because of the reviews but I would bring either of our dogs back here if we had another emergency. After reading a few negative reviews I feel like people bring a dog here that they think is an emergency but it truly is not. Just because your dog has loose stool doesn't mean this place is going to have you in and out in 30 minutes. We took our dog here because he had a paw pad nearly hanging off his foot and they did what they needed to do. Now I'm not saying this place is perfect and I'm sure they've made mistakes and will make more but they treated us very good and took care of our baby!

I offered to take her out so Dr. Kemp could examine her but that woman (dr.) declined and clearly had no interest in continuing the visit as if I am not welcomed. She seemed eager to end this session ASAP. Prior to taking my cat in I discussed my concerns over the phone with the vet tech and also mentioned I am looking to get flea treatment as a preventative measure they seemed excited about it thinking I will buy from them, but as soon as I mentioned to Dr. Kemp that I want a written prescription so I can get it from chewy as I have a coupon, her tone shifted. Finally after 2 minutes of talk, she said she will get me the prescription for gabapentin and revolution and disappeared for 25 minutes, just so she could drag out the visit and collect her fee for no service provided. I could hear her chit chatting with the staff. Then finally the vet tech came with gabapentin med, and told the front desk that the woman (dr.) would not prescribe Revolution because my cat had not been weighed, even though I had already offered to take her out for an exam and they had every chance to weigh her. They wanted me to come in again for follow up appointment while still charging me for no service. Total time with the doctor was 2 minutes. I am a seasoned cat rescuer and a foster parent with a fair share of problematic cats and vets. This is the worst form of greed and incompetency I have ever experienced. Edit: the cat carrier had 3 zipped sides that completely opens, if they really wanted to get her out they could have done so but they did not choose to.

To the staff at Kimball Animal Hospital - we are FURRever grateful for you!…read more I have an ancient cat (age unknown until Kimball) - who was in need of serious dental care. His normal hefty self was withering down to absolutely nothing and I felt like the worst cat mom ever. The staff at Kimball Animal Hospital went above and beyond. Scooping him up like he was one of their very own and taking the best care of him. Honestly, I've never met staff who understand the pain of potentially losing the oldest animal in a home filled with kids who love them until these kind folks. Heather, took me aside personally and explained absolutely -everything- and took the time to discuss what needed to be done and how, along with his chances of survival given his age. Despite the odds, I was convinced I would not be coming home with our old man and I am overjoyed to be able to say HE IS HOME and doing SO WELL! He's eating. He's cuddly. He's a very happy cat and our entire family is so happy he is still with us. THANK YOU KIMBALL ANIMAL HOSPITAL! All our animals will be coming here now.

Owner, Dr. Deena Newland and her super friendly and very skilled and efficient team, were so welcoming. The clinic is always bright, cheerful, and clean. I knew instantly I had found a happy home for my pet care! I have two older, special needs animals; a deaf English Bulldog, Oscar, and a diabetic cat, Cheddar. Needless to say, my animals need specialized care and I need education! English Bulldogs have many health challenges. She knows the breed well and has guided me through, (and has healed), several foot cysts between the toes, a foot surgery to remove an irritating object, lots of allergy care, two puncture injuries in his eye, and now, eyelashes growing into his eyes! Dr. Newland is an excellent diagnostician, and after Cheddar had stopped eating for a week, she was able to diagnose (by touching him), an inflamed liver! She treated him and within a couple of days, he was instantly so much better! As a senior, she is always understanding of my financial limitations and will treat with medicines that work within my budget. She recently changed one of the medications to a new more effective and less expensive medicine for Oscar. If my pets have emergencies they are usually seen the same day. Hamilton Animal Hospital is a joyful, professional business and I am so grateful for them in our community. I highly recommend a visit!
