    Lori ..

It's been almost 8 Months since our dog Nascie was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor that was confirmed by an MRI and NOT ONCE has Dr. Moore returned Any of My calls to speak to him. After several medications mistakes that he has made he will not call me, instead I spend time talking to a CSR there. What happens is after you leave and if you have any issues you go into a phone queue to speak to someone, someone who works from home like Leslie who had a crying baby in the background as I am trying to tell her Nascie had a seizure. This person than takes down the information and advises "SOMEONE" will call you back within a day or two. When they call back its never the same person, its another CSR who gives you the doctors Response and if you have a question about the doctors response, than its another "SOMEONE" will call you back. In our case Dr. Moore made several medication mistakes! First I was told after her diagnosis to wean her off the Prednisone, so I did that and Nascie then start having tearing from her eyes. I had to call and let a CSR know that I weaned her off the Prednisone and I think that was a mistake her eyes are tearing up and she appears to be in discomfort. I had to wait a day for a call back, which was from another CSR to tell me Dr. Moore said the optic nerve doesn't touch the tumor. She is probably having allergies. HOWEVER, I researched this and told the CSR that "Yes, a brain tumor in a dog can put pressure on the optic nerve causing significant eye issues, including tearing, inflammation, and pain" than I had to wait for the CSR to go to Dr. Moore and wait for another call back only for the next CSR to tell me Dr. Moore said to put her back on the Prednisone. He should have never taken her off the prednisone, from my research the prednisone reduces the swelling around the tumor. NEXT he told me to wean her off the Levetiracetam that was initially prescribed by our Vet. When I asked why are we weaning her off the Levetiracetam he said because Zonisamide has better results, so I listened to him. It's important to note that after Nascie started taking the Levetiracetam she didn't have anymore seizures. She had a good 2 weeks of no seizures until the MRI was done and we followed Dr. Moore orders. Within 3 days of Nascie being weaned off Levetiracetam SHE HAD A SEIZURE ON Sept. 2, another one on Sept 3rd, another one on Sept. 5th and another one on Sept. 6th. Finally they call me back and I asked WHY DID WE WEAN her off the Levetiracetam if it was working? The CSR told me because most people can't stick to the strict every 8 hour Schedule. I was never told this! No ONE ASKED ME and I WAS NOT WORKING so this should have been asked of me not assumed! Next was in October Dr. Moore said I was not given the correct dosage of Levetiracetam. I advised I was giving Nascie what her VET who initially prescribed it told me to give her. Dr. Moore's CSR told me it should be 250MG 3 times a day. We were giving her 125MG 3 times a day. It's important to note From the time we put her back on the Levetriacetam in early Sept until October, Nascie had no issues! However, I increased the dose per what Dr. Moore told his CSR to tell me and within 3 days my 15 pound dog was vomiting, had diarrehea and couldn't stand on her own without falling over. I than researched what happens when you give a dog too much Anti Seizure medication, I mean my little 15 pound dog was getting 850 mg combined (250mg 3x a day of Levetiracetam and 50mg twice a day of Zonismide) and everything Nascie was going through is what happens when you over medicate a dog. I stopped Immediately and within a week she was better, but it took 2 weeks for the diarrehea to clear up. And in the following months anytime I had a question or asked to speak to Dr. Moore he will not call me. Now, 8 months later she's having Seizures and I've asked for someone else other than Dr. Moore. Nascie initially saw Dr. Knowels when she was 2 years old. I was told I would get a call back, that was 5 days ago! SHAME ON ALL OF THEM! She's Important. She MATTERS and she's still ALIVE thanks to me!

This place was amazing and I was so impressed with the entire staff especially Dr. Kim Knowels and Dr. Lydia Lovato. Even though its been only a three weeks out from my mini dachshund Dash having herniated disc surgery. He had lost the abilty to even stand or walk however now is recovering, looking great, and walking so much better each day. This entire faciality showed the best customer service and you could honestly tell how much they cared for all the animals. I am truly thankful.

I can't say enough good things about this practice. Marley was great setting up the appointment on a Sunday for the next day. The doctors are fantastic. I highly recommend them. This is Jethro Bodine after surgery. He's doing great.

My sweet girl Lucy herniated a disc in her back just after New Year. Very shocking and very scary. I can tell you with the utmost confidence that the doctors and staff here are consummate professionals. They obviously see a lot of dachshunds with back issues, so they knew what was going on immediately and how to treat her. Surgery was the best option and a week later, Lucy is doing incredibly well. From the moment I stepped in to the clinic I was treated respectfully and very gently. Experience, dedication and a true caring nature are what anyone would want when caring for their animals and veterinary Neurological center are, without question, on the top of their game. Many thanks to Dr Moore and associates!

nothing but love for this place and all the lovely people who work here. they were very kind and professional, and they took great care of my baby. I was so scared when all of the sudden my dog could barely walk on her own, but they kept me as calm as possible in this situation and their confidence that she would make a full recovery was really reassuring. it's been a while since her surgery and she is able to walk perfectly fine again, although she can no longer partake in her favorite pastime of parkour. she has picked up a new hobby of sunbathing, and likely has a really weird tan line from the reverse mohawk they had to give her for surgery!

    Rudy a satisfied customer!

We brought a non-ambulatory Rudy in as an emergency visit and fit into their already busy schedule. We were seen promptly and cared for with empathy and professionalism from ALL the staff. They did X-rays and MRI and provided results in real time as they were being conducted. He had a herniated disc. Dr. Moore operated on Saturday and they were always communicating with us. We brought him home Monday and followed all their protocols. Not only is he walking and active it is an effort to keep him restrained and calm. Dr. Balaban saw us from beginning to our "graduation" and she is a gem! Thank you for taking such good care of our furry family member. Much gratitude! #rudyvalentino

My shelti-pom needs back surgery near her tail area. My question is, after surgery while my baby is in your care, does anyone stay on the premises overnight to watch over the pups, or do you just leave them at the office recovery alone?

We had a virtual urgent care call and they were concerned enough that we brought him into The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic to check in on him. After an ultrasound, they found that he had a mass on his spleen and was internally bleeding, and had to go into immediate overnight emergency surgery. The surgery was successful, and after a 36 hour hospital stay, Barkley is back home and on the mend. While this was such a scary experience and few days, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic and their team. They are open 24/7/365, and provided around the clock care. Because of the length of his stay, we worked with and spoke to multiple of their veterinarians and assistants (thank you to Dr. Ferguson, Dr. Fleming, Dr. Goldberg, and Dr. Blackmon), and everyone was so kind, attentive, and caring through every step of the process, gave us calls throughout the night with updates and over the past few days to check in on Barkley's progress, and were so compassionate in all of the care they provided. Barkley was in such great hands. Thank you to the The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic team!

They gave us a whole cart of treats to give to him and the doctor and staff was so kind and compassionate. The staff from the very first time we walked in to the time I was called to pick his ashes up was absolutely amazing. It was the only time they truly saw him and it felt like they had cared for him so many times before. I couldn't of ask for a better place and staff to have my dog cared for.
