Their Sunday Brunch is definitely a hidden gem in Irving and you can't beat the bottomless mimosas. I called ahead since we had a group of 4 adults, one kid, a toddler, and a baby. The hostess was friendly and had our table available right on time and high chairs already set. The food was delicious, the waffles were nice and crispy, and the omelet bar is great. Fantastic brunch spot! My husband and I went here with friends during the pandemic to celebrate one of their birthdays. The restaurant offers a brunch buffet on Sundays and did a tremendous job of keeping the food protected from germs by having patrons wear masks while getting food and having servers provide food from each station. Their Sunday brunch buffet comes with most drinks, like tea or soft drinks I think... Also mimosas which we had. :-) I think it would have been better if they were chilled alittle longer, bc they came out almost room temp but I was happy. It didn't matter. The food was really good. The best buffet I've had in awhile. We really liked the empanadas, black beans, and enchiladas. I liked the guacamole and salsa:-) also they had Belgian waffles and an omelette bar, which I didn't get to try since I was already getting full. One con was the buffet covers made it difficult to reach the items in the back of heat tray. We all thought that was alittle awkward. The food is phenomenal. The service impeccable. If you're a margarita fan, the cheaper house margarita frozen is actually better than the more expensive top shelf on the rocks. The wife and I came on a Sat night and were pleasantly surprised to have the side room basically to ourselves. The server, Robert was Johnny on the spot with everything. An Irving Staple which is often touted as having better food than the country club in Irving. While I cannot attest to this I can say that the food is very excellent. There are always interesting specials and the atmosphere is phenomenal. The waitstaff are very attentive and friendly, though sometimes a little too attentive. While this may appeal to certain clientele (and definitely shouldn't be changed!) it can be a little bracing for younger patrons or for those not accustomed to Southern Hospitality. I was satisfied with everything. Upon arrival, everyone was very friendly, accommodating, and quick to help. It's beautiful on the inside and has a very classy and upscale feel to the restaurant. The Sunday brunch is worth the $25. You get an array of American breakfast items as well as some yummy Mexican favorites (like chilaquiles!). I don't think it's super "authentic", but it's yummmmmm. They have something for all- I especially enjoyed the fact that there was meaty shrimp, Smoked salmon, and fresh fruits. I love their house salad dressing! You also get unlimited mimosas/pointsettas/regular drinks not including coffee or tea. I was impressed with the desserts and very much enjoyed that dessert was in bite sized form so I could try a bit of everything guilt free. I wasn't impressed with the "carving" station. After a long day in a series of long days, we were quite looking forward to some good food. We got there about 15 minutes early for our reservation, having come straight from the office. They stored our computer bags in the coat check so that we didn't have to lug them. We were glad to see a full restaurant as a good indication that people like the place. We started with the guacamole, which serves 4 according to the menu, and margaritas. I got the jalapeno, one colleague got the 28oz house, and two colleagues got the Via Rita at the recommendation of our server. I'd never heard margarita flavors described in such detail! The guacamole had good flavor and texture, and we all did get a good-sized dollop. My Jalapeno margarita was tasty with just enough heat to soften to take the edge off the sweetness. For the entrees, I got the Rancher's Special - pork chili relleno, cheese enchilada, crispy beef taco, and black beans instead of the Spanish rice. Others got the roasted shrimp with sea bass enchiladas, cheese enchiladas, and ceviche. Everything was good, very fresh and flavorful, and more food than I could finish. My friend and I had dinner there the first time. The place is beautifully decorated. Food and service are good, but we were seated at the table in front of the locked wine racks. During our dinner, 3 servers came to unlock the rack to get wine. As it was right behind me, I needed to scoop. They never said "Excuse me" or "Pardon me." Finally, my friend was very upset about it and told the manager that they should not have put a table there. The manager apologized but did not offer any discounts or compensation to the disrespectful arrangement. Y'all this place was just *chef's kiss* I was blown away with how amazing everything was! Like seriously! The service was top notch. So friendly and attentive. The owner of Via Real was also so welcoming and working hard to ensure that everyone was having a good time. I ordered the house margarita along with the queso and it was very delicious. Chips and salsa is included. For our entrees I ordered the chicken enchilada and my husband ordered the cilantro chicken. Both were amazing! I noticed a lot of people ordering steak and although I did not taste it if it taste as good as it smells I will have to order that next time! It was our anniversary and they offered us a complimentary dessert for us to celebrate. They also took our picture and provided us with a complimentary copy. Like who else does this?! Came here for a continuing education course, we had a private room to ourselves and a set menu to choose from. The margarita I had tasted just like the mixer alone. I started off with the house salad which was a little small in portion. For my entree I chose the chicken cilantro which was pretty good in flavor. I used to live close to Via Real and would eat lunch or dinner there once's a week. I've never had a bad meal there and would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch, dinner or private event. I have done all three and have never been disappointed. In summary, the only things I liked from their Sunday brunch were their bottomless mimosas and their flan. Everything else was either dry or bland. Also not sure why regular drip coffee isn't included in the price since I've been to slightly less expensive buffet brunch places like Blue Mesa which have speciality coffee and even Harney & Sons tea all included. I came here for Father's Day with Dad, who was very excited to try this restaurant since they had been around for quite a number of years (tbh no idea how). There was literally nothing that stood out about the actual food options. Dry/burnt hash browns, dry shredded chicken in an enchilada that was falling apart and had no real sauce, eggs benedict on a soggy english muffin topped with Kraft cheese. Not sure why dried cheese constitutes as a sauce for everything. I will say that their host, who was a male with a man bun/ponytail, was very very kind and made the experience a little better.
