Went to Via Roma the other night for supper for the first time and were made to feel so welcomed!! It is not a fancy place but the staff makes it feel cozy!! Our dinner was delicious!! My parents shared the Chicken Parmesan and I must say I Loved it!!! Having a sudden craving for pizza, I determined my best bet spur of the moment was Via Roma. I went online and got a delivery, pronto. I ordered a large Margherita pizza with extras of artichokes, olives, and mushrooms. I also put it on an express order with a slight charge to get it delivered in 30-40 minutes. The order went right through, and I monitored the progress. It arrived in just over 35 minutes, rather good for pizza. I must say I was quite satisfied. The pie was very large and there was lots of topping, and well prepared. If anything, the crust was a bit undercooked, most likely attributable to my own doing with an express order The pizza arrived warm and was delicious. Party of 8, VIP experience from owner, Henry This was our first time dining at this Via Roma's 2nd location in Lincoln. We've enjoyed the restaurant in Rocklin a few times. This Lincoln location has a much bigger dining area (compared to a more cozier Rocklin) with a semi private dining room that can accommodate a larger group. Our party of 8 was treated to a VIP service by the owner himself. We enjoyed complimentary focaccia with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. We also enjoyed a large serving of Insalata Cesare (Caesar Salad) compliments of Henry, owner. Our friend placed two orders of the Arancini for us to share. We each had a ball... literally. LoL! Hubby and I ordered "our usual" (from the Rocklin location). He had the Linguine Scampi while I had the Chicken Parmigiana. Yummy homemade pasta! We came here for a family dinner event and had decided on a set menu due to our party of 17 people. Our menu consisted of two appetizers (Caprese salad & Brushetta), a Cesar salad, three different entrée options (margarita pizza, chicken Parmesan, and raviolis) and two desserts (cannolis and tiramisu) . Every food option was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed everything we tried! My favorite entree was the raviolis because of the amazing flavors but we all loved each item. Our family members were equally impressed with the food that we got to experience. Unfortunately, didn't take any pictures as we were in the moment and enjoying the food and company. This is one of our favorite spots to visit for date night along with the second location in Rocklin. Even if you hated the food, which is 100% impossible, you can't help but give Henry a 3 star rating based solely off of his amazing attitude and contributions to our community over all. This man and his family have been a staple amongst us when there was absolutely nothing to eat in that area of Rocklin and even when most restaurants were shutting down during covid. Henry!! Where have you been?!!! Wish you were there a year ago to greet us at your Rocklin location! My experience here and there were like night and day. Apologies for my less than stellar review but it was true in that moment in time. Maybe, hopefully those few apples are no longer there or have been retrained. I came in with my brother and sister in law to celebrate my birthday. I had told them how much I loved their food. Henry was there that night and described his specials for us..we were sold! Three please! First, focaccia, then a caesar salad (on the house) and then.. the most delicious seafood and pasta. The sauce was so good that I didn't want to stop eating but I was so full! He and our server came to the table with a large plate of tiramisu with a candle and sang "Happy Birthday" to me. I will follow Henry, the restaurant owner, to wherever he is working! Last Friday night in Rocklin was full, so I specifically drove to the Lincoln location to try it for the first time. I really wanted to eat the Pappardelle Creamy Smoked Salmon special offered only around Valentine's Day!!! The photo from last year looked so good. I know from the Rocklin location that my favorite pasta menu items are the Linguine Scampi, Fettuccine Pollo, and any homemade Ravioli Special (also on the 2023 Valentine's Day menu). Offered the first weekend of every month, cioppino often lures me in. Both the Mista and Caesar Salads are tender, leafy, and green. I enjoy the house red wine, Ca Momi. A complimentary plate of focaccia bread with balsamic vinegar & olive oil comes with every meal. Your server will always offer you more bread. The Pappardelle Creamy Smoked Salmon was a generous portion, likely meant to be shared for Valentine's Day. I should have brought half home, but I indulged myself. A rich cream sauce. Freshly made long strands of pasta. I liked the crunch of the asparagus bits. The Dinner Promo is a great deal. It is offered Sundays to Thursdays ($32 as of 2/2023). Pick soup or salad and any pasta. Tiramisu is the third and final course. You may order a single glass of house red or white wine for $6. To warm the place up, here are some ideas: 1. White tablecloths with disposable paper place settings 2. Table centerpieces of a plant, vase of flowers, or candle 3. Drape strands of twinkle lights along the walls 4. Change the fluorescent lighting to elegant light fixtures 5. Add some accent rugs or change flooring 6. Reupholster the booth seats An interior designer would know better than I do! Although not as cozy as the Rocklin location, the Lincoln restaurant is 2 times larger with a party room. Throw a birthday party here, and the staff will sing you Happy Birthday and top your dessert with a lighted candle. Only our dearest Henry possessed the faith, entrepreneurial spirit and daring to open a second restaurant during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic! First off this is in a strip mall and easy to miss. It is sandwiched between other restaurants. There is plenty of free parking in front and lots of tables and booths inside. The service was excellent! The waitresses were so friendly and attentive. I added another star just for them. Our waitress even brought us a tiramisu as this was our first time there. The food though was just ok. The cannelloni was nice and hot but the sauce and filling were uninspiring. The pizza was good and that is why they got the three stars. This is the newer one because the original restaurant is very famous and they want more customers to enjoy their cooking. The restaurant is bigger than the original one, with a function room separate from the main dining room. Perfect for a family or business party. We love via roma, we have never had a bad meal there. Not everyone's taste is the same and that is why we have places like papa johns. I think Henry puts the time and care into each of the meals prepared and it is always a treat to go there. Every time we've been, we always feel like we're being treated like family. Having been patrons of the Rocklin location since 2008 it's awesome to see how they've grown an excelled in a town full of pizza. Now if you prefer round table, mountain mike etc that's cool nothing beats a combo combo. OTP is playing in a seperate league... but VIA ROMA is attention to detail. With a Chef who studied in Rome the crust is on point. Semolina is the mainstay. Pair that with an owner who grows his own tomato's to make the sauces you can't go wrong. Burrata and fresh mozzarella are stabdard. Is it the same as pizza and Italian food that you're going to get in the basement restaurants of Via del Corso in Rome? No. It's a different thing, top quality ingredients and love and passion in every dish if you're looking for a cowboy pizza with bbq sauce and dry chicken breast go elsewhere.if you're looking for a place where the food in every aspect is thoughtful and the owners genuinely care about their product (front and back of the house) then Via Roma the place for you. read more

Via Roma opening down the street from my house was the best news we have had in 2020! They just opened a few days ago and we placed our orders online for takeout. Due to COVID numbers increasing in our county, restaurants are only available for takeout and delivery, boo! Regardless of the restrictions, we want to support local and we placed our orders online. We ordered the scampi linguine and hub's favorite, rigatoni with bolognese. My scampi had large pieces of shrimp, grilled and seasoned perfectly. If I could give 10 stars I would. The food is amazing, the lasagna and the Mista salad are my favorite. Both mine and my Best Friends baby showers were hosted here, and they both were a hit. How is no one in Lincoln talking about Via Roma? Hands down one of the best tasting foods in Lincoln I've had in a long time/ I was born and a raised in Lincoln and left for about a decade for school and work in So Cal where I also worked at an authentic Italian restaurant. This place has layers flavors on all dishes, nothing fell short of expectations. Started with the cesar salad, my mother makes our own home made caesar salad and theirs was much better by far. Even my mother asked me to get a part time job here to know the secret . We had their all meat pizza and added mushrooms, everyone in the family loved it. The Cioppino was to DIE for. rip me: death due to deliciousness. My boyfriend told me they usually make cioppino the first weekend of the month so make sure to get here in time.
