Our food was way too overpriced for what we received. The crispy roasted chicken was neither crispy nor tasty. Kraft macaroni and cheese is better than the watery dish I was served. I was surprised no vegetables were served with our entrees as well, but I do see sides on the menu that cost extra. We also ordered a rigatoni, and we were surprised at the tiny serving. We asked for bread, but apparently, that is also extra unless your entree specifically states bread comes with it. The ambiance was frantic due to them being overbooked for a play night. They didn't have our reservation even though we had an email. We were lucky to get a spot in the lounge, but we were definitely rushed out. read more

This is a great addition to downtown, especially symphony park. Vic's is upscale yet approachable and they have a great selection of whiskeys and other drinks at the bar. The lounge is classy, comfy and inviting to hang out longer before a show at the smith's center or with friends catching a game on any of the ample TVs. As much I enjoy the Smith's Center, one thing that was a downer was the absence of good dining options within walking distance. Vic's has answered! The menu has enough choice and service was excellent during my first visit. I definitely plan to return for dinner and enjoy some live music too. If you're in symphony park/union neighborhood, the premium outlets or World Trade Center and looking for better dining experience, I recommend stopping by. We made prior arrangements with Scott the manager and everything was smooth and enjoyable. Our meals were delicious and reaso able. PEOPLE! This restaurant is AMAZING! It's an excellent Italian spot with a very nice relaxing atmosphere, they have a live Jazz band playing softly to enjoy, not loudly so you need to raise your voice. The have some nice specials, I had the fresh fish (Bronzino) over pasta with a butter, caper sauce with chard lemon. Amazing! My friends #1 had the Chicken Parm w/ fresh pasta. ( it is a VERY nice size portion with great sauce! #2 had the fresh Sea-bass w/ white beans and broccolini ad chard lemon. Oh and the starters where also outstanding! The new place to see and be seen in Vegas is Vic's. The jazz is groovy, the drinks are smooth, and the food is delicious. I came in on a Friday night for a light dinner, a drink, and to listen to a bit of jazz. The venue is divided into three rooms: - The Sports Bar area with multiple TVs, booths, and fireplaces. - The Bar area with hightops and bar seating at a large U-shaped, fully stocked bar. - The Main Restaurant with booths and table seating facing a stage. I sat in the main restaurant in one of the booths towards the back. The food was delicious and had a fun twist on classic Italian as well as bar food staples. The waiter recommended some fantastic dishes, and I went with all his suggestions. The standouts were: - The Tomato Soup and grilled cheese sticks - The Chicken Wings - The Bolognese The only critique I can offer is in regard to their lighting choices. The room was a little too bright for a restaurant, let alone a jazz club/restaurant. Also, the stage lighting choices were not that great. The rotating gobos that they used to light the backdrops looked cheesy. Lighting on stage was pretty basic and could have used some colors like blues or purples. I include these comments because the space has a substantial lighting setup and what looked like a mini lighting/sound booth in the room. I highly recommend this spot! read more

This is a great spot for grabbing a bite or a drink before or after visiting The Smith Center or Myron's. The ambience is nice and they have live music playing in the background, softly so you can hear your table conversation. The Caesar salad was a perfect size to split. The Pappardelle Bolognese had a great flavor with the beef and pork. The Rigatoni Carbonara fell short for me. It needed more sauce and more flavor, it was very bland. The bread pudding was a nice finish to the meal. We will return and try different things on the menu. It is a great spot, and has a nice and relaxing mood. read more

Nice location across the street from the discovery museum with easy garage parking (validated at restaurant) and cool atmosphere - the kiddos at a local high school play jazz here. However, maybe not great for a large party that wants to catch up due to background music. Food was just ok. Italian leaning options and boasts homemade pasta. I eat gluten free so there wasn't very many options but the others in my party stated the pasta was underseasoned and bland. Prices were a little high in my mind as well. We were early for Shrek at the Smith Center and a parking garage attendant recommended Vic's for a pre-show beverage, what a great recommendation! We sat in the bar, I had a glass of wine and my husband had a Guinness. The bartenders were busy but checked in often with us, they were great. The only thing that keeps this place open is the ambiance and the live music because the food is very bland and the wine selection is very "meh". Dined at Vic's a year ago and the first visit wasn't great but decided to give it another chance and it was not good once again. We made a 7:15pm reservation on a Friday. We showed up at 7pm, they said our table wasn't ready. They waited to seat us in the dining area 15 mins later and the dining area was nearly empty. I ordered the carbonara with the gluten free noodle and the Carbonara was the most bland Alfredo sauce (not carbonara) with a little bit of pancetta. My main entree was also smaller than our side, which was very odd. I sent it back and just ordered a salad. My husband ordered the chicken parm which was okay nothing special. Now the service was also very unimpressive. Didn't have many recommendations and would check on our table but hover over us for a couple minutes it was very weird. My husband ordered a white wine and he explained he did not like it and if she could switch it out. She brought him a different wine and made sure we paid for the wine that he disliked and left it at the table(we didn't drink it). She didn't seem very experienced but she was friendly. Absolutely will not be recommending this place to anyone unless they want a martini and music but definitely better food options for Italian in town or in the area. Made reservations for a pre-show dinner and Wow! I absolutely enjoyed everything about this place! Service is excellent, food is delicious, atmosphere is on point. We were seated stage side, where we enjoyed a jazz performance from LV Arts Academy students (don't be fooled by their age, they are beyond talented). There were themed cocktails to match the Broadway performance we were attending immediately after dinner, which was fun. I had Clams with Angel Hair Pasta, it was light and lemony, with plenty of littleneck clams. My husband had the Bolognese and also loved it. We sprung for dessert - tiramisu and cheesecake- which tasted every bit as lovely as it looked. Dinner for 2, with cocktails and dessert, was about $150, which felt reasonable for the level of service, the food, and the vibe. I won't hesitate to return. read more

My party of 4 arrived at 4pm with a 4:15 reservation. The bearded maitre d (Fred) made no eye contact as he walked passed my party at the entrance waiting to be served. After several minutes I gave him my name and reservation time. He walked to and from the dinning room, then said I have people leaving now. At 4:45pm we were escorted to a table. The waitress took my drink order and left. At 5:10 she return, apologizing for the delay. We hadn't made our food order yet. She wanted to take our food order, when I informed her that my drink haven't arrived yet. She apologized again and went looking for my drink. She returned explaining my drink was coming, when she took drink orders from my party. When my drink arrived I explained to the waitress that we have been waiting for service for so long I no longer wanted anything and please bring me the check for the drinks we ordered. She left and returned within two minutes with the check. But we had been sitting here for 45 minutes without being served. Long story short: Vic's staff were unorganized, confused, and seemingly new to the restaurant industry. They were full of apologizes but no service skills. Tried Vic's after matinee last week. Will be one of our go to places in the future. Atmosphere is really nice and especially like how quiet the place was after a recent experience at another restaurant where we couldn't hear ourselves much less the server telling us the specials. Appreciated that we could hear each other while we sipped on our martinis. Note: we ordered martinis with their blue cheese olives. Not only did they service 1 per martini, they were jarred blue cheese olives, not fresh, so had no flavor of blue cheese or texture. PLUS they charged us extra - $1 per olive! Crazy! Our server, Bodie, was great. Ask for him! Knowledgeable about the menu and paced our appetizers, dinner and dessert. While dining, a pianist started playing and if you didn't look up to see, you would have never known the player was a high school student. Excellent! We'll be back to hear more jazz on another night. We started sharing the eggplant app. Was good, but a little thinly sliced that we couldn't taste much eggplant, just breading. Was crispy and the Parmesan slices, red sauce and greens filled in nicely. Next we shared the Caesar salad. Typical but good. The anchovy breadcrumbs didn't have much of an anchovy flavor. Would have rather had a nice crouton and anchovy on the salad. My husband had the special veal. Was good, but a tad under-cooked. Lemony with capers and served with a large portion of linguine. I had the rigatoni cabonara and was good. Rich and filling. We shared the chocolate truffle cake. A large piece to go with our cappuccinos. We were in a party of six and we were all disgusted by the food and beverage. The high point was our server. He really tried but he had no way of fixing the food and bar. Very nice they comped our drinks but rushing to eat dinner in 15 minutes was not a great experience. I can appreciate a busy restaurant with patrons trying to make a showtime. But overbooking the restaurant and seating a same size party before us with the same reservation time I don't understand. Happy to pay extra for live entertainment but why the singular piano player takes a break at 6:45 (the very moment the restaurant will be it's most busy) meant we heard almost nothing during our dinner. I called after looking at Open Table to ask if we could get a reservation at 6 pm. AJ answered the phone and told me to call back in a few hours since they were booked. In 10 minutes or less she called me back and asked if we could come at 6:15. We arrived and she was also our head server. She remembered our phone conversation and was wonderful! She also gave us great information about Hamilton. The food was incredible, the service was unbelievable and the location was certainly close enough to the Smith Center. When we come back to the Smith Center, Vic's will be our first choice for dinner and the parking lot next door, is preferred parking for shows. Thank you Vic's and AJ for being the best. read more

This was my first time at Vic's and unless I need a convenient meal before a show at the Smith Center, it will probably be my last. Our party of 9 was seated promptly for our reservation and we were able to enjoy each other's company until the live music began. Although the band was fantastic, I'm not a fan of having music played at a volume where I can't visit with my dinner companions. I also wasn't a fan of the cards placed at the table that ask you to keep the noise down while the band is performing, as it felt a little like I was being scolded by a school teacher. I ordered the veal piccata and their jalapeño cucumber margarita. The drink was great. Both the meal and the service were ok - they weren't bad, but they were entirely forgettable. For the prices they're charging, I expected much better. I did appreciate the fact they gave us separate checks, but I feel like the main reason this place survives is because they have a captive audience with the theater crowd. They validated our parking, but not at 100%...still paid $4 for parking and that's after spending $72 on my dinner and an additional $21 for an after dinner drink in the lounge. Multiply that by 9 of us and you'd think you would at least get free parking, but no. read more

Congratulations on the worst service ever. "Is the lounge area on the other side away from the bar open?" Yes. We go in there, 15 minutes pass and no service, so ok. We switch to the bar area. Order beverages. "Would like food as well?" Yes, in a while. Ok, I'll be back. She did freshen drinks in a while, but never came back for food order. At one point a guy was walking by and asked how everything was? We snagged him and said: "We'd like to order". He said: "Ok, but lunch is over, I'll have to get you a dinner menu". We order 4 appetizers off the happy hour menu and he brought us the dinner menu. After a while, the appetizers showed up. One was missing, one was incorrect, but 2 were actually good! He never did come back to take the dinner order. After 2+ hours, we left. I commented to a bartender that had just arrived about how that had been the worst service ever.
