Nothing special about this place, it is subtle and cute for the neighborhood. WFH spot, with lots of outdoor patio seating available. I would consider hiring more experienced Barista's. Matcha was pretty but one of the worse tasting matcha's I've had. Also not a fan of the freeze dried strawberries. Dog friendly so that's nice! They offer small sandwiches, however the display was not very clean Still a new shop so hoping for improvement as time goes on!
Good Italian sandwiches on soft foccacia bread. The turkey aoli was delicious and a good balance of meats and spreads. Drinks looked good, however I did not get one. You order at the counter and they call your name when ready. Parking is really challenging as they don't have a designated lot and minimal street parking. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating, however, the outdoor area was a bit of a wind tunnel.
Very impressed with the italian sandwhich. We got the pistachio mortadella and it is expectedly to be sweet from the pistachio cream but I was surprised that it had actual pistachio nuts. Focaccia bread is good...it think the sandwich might be better if the bread was lightly toasted. Very clean place and they have an outdoor area if you have pets.
Wow. Good flavorsandwich. It didn't have much truffle flavor but love the pistacchio nuts in it for the crunch. And the goat cheese and mortadella was crazy delicious. A great sandwich. The staff was pleasant and quick service. Plenty of seating inside and have outdoor seating also and appears like pets are allowed. Great sandwiches and the coffeess look good as well. I'd come back.
I got one of their seasonal pumpkin lattes which was solid. Service was quick. It's a nice cool atmosphere inside - maybe a bit sterile of an environment. There's plenty of space to sit inside and outside. Great place to study. Parking is a bit tough - there's street parking. The liquor store lot next door has signs saying specifically only for their customers.
- parking can be tricky but there's a small lot to the left and behind as well as the large plaza across the street! - the interior had an industrial cement look and it was large too, lots of seating both indoor and outdoor - the staff were so sweet and welcoming! (1) pistachio mortadella sandwich ($15): so pleasantly surprised how packed this was! My craving for a mortadella sandwich was thoroughly satisfied after this. The pistachio spread, creamy goat cheese, fresh arugula, and mortadella slices were a winning combo (2) banana bread latte ($7.50): this was a hit too. The espresso was strong not bitter and the fresh banana flavor wasn't too sweet (I asked for less sweet!). That cream top added a nice banana vanilla flavor as well

The place itself is very cute and I like that there is inside Nd outdoor seating. However, the matcha was not good at all and extremely sweet and tastes just like milk. The coffee was better but kinda lacked flavor. I would go there for only the sandwiches! They are really big just the half portion. But they are expensive for a sandwich. Service was okay.
I had wanted to come here when they first opened but didn't get a chance to check it out until recently. It's located right under a residential building so you will need to find some street parking nearby. I originally came here cause I wanted to try some drinks but I did notice that they were also selling Italian sandwiches which interested me so I went with the pistachio mortadella while my partner went with the Tuscan truffle. We also got a berries and cream matcha and iced toasted marshmallow latte to try. I'll start off by saying that I thought the drinks were just okay. The creams on both the drinks were good but I don't think the matcha nor the coffee were very noteworthy in anyway (matcha didn't have a very prominent flavor and the espresso didn't seem very potent either) which is a shame because they do look very pretty. On the other hand though the sandwiches were definitely worth it. Not only are they massive but the quality of ingredients and the combination of flavors made them exceptional. For example the Tuscan truffle comes with a lot of ingredients which includes goat cheese, hot honey, salami, turkey, etc and they all complement each other very well. I also haven't had pistachio cream in a sandwich before but I really enjoyed it in the pistachio mortadella (added a sweet touch and the texture of the cream worked well with the sandwich also). There are definitely other Italian sandwich shops in San Diego which I think have better focaccia bread but they also happen to be way more expensive than this location (probably 5-6 dollars more on average). I would definitely come back for the sandwiches but unfortunately not too sure on the drinks for me personally.

The inside was very clean and aesthetic while also being super spacious! I would definitely come back to wfh. I got the prosciutto and fig sandwich and the ingredients all paired perfectly together. I was craving a really good sandwich and all I could think about were the photos I'd seen online of Vici Cafe's massive focaccia sandwiches. After one look at the menu, I knew I was making the drive out. Vici Cafe advertises itself as a specialty coffee and sandwich shop. The coffee menu looked great, but I was there for one thing only, a focaccia sandwich. They offer seven different options ranging from about $14 to $16. Every single one sounded good. Choosing was honestly the hardest part. Parking can be a little tricky. I could see it being frustrating if you're planning to stay for a while to study or work. When I arrived there wasn't a line, but the place was definitely busy. Every seat inside was taken. The large outdoor patio, however, was almost completely empty. The staff was friendly. I placed my order and waited about 10 minutes for my sandwich. My only small complaint was that it was hard to hear names being called from the patio. I found myself walking back toward the pickup counter a few times just to make sure I hadn't missed my order. I landed on the Pistachio Mortadella sandwich. It comes with mortadella, truffle goat cheese, arugula, pistachio cream, garlic aioli, and crushed pistachios. This sandwich is beautiful. The focaccia looked fresh. The layers were stacked high. There was a generous amount of meat. The pistachio cream and arugula gave it great color. The first few bites were incredible. The pistachio cream added a sweetness that paired really well with the salty mortadella. The arugula brought freshness. The focaccia had a great texture. Everything worked together and I immediately understood the hype. Then I got halfway through it. The problem wasn't the quality. The ingredients tasted fresh. The flavors were good. It was just so rich. Between the garlic aioli, pistachio cream, truffle goat cheese, and oils from the meat, every bite felt heavier than the last. At some point I found myself wishing there was something acidic to cut through everything. A pickled vegetable. A vinaigrette. Something bright. The sandwich felt like it was missing a contrast. I would still come back because the quality is there. The focaccia is excellent. The ingredients taste fresh. Next time I think I'd order something lighter. The Prosciutto and Fig already has my attention because it still gives that sweet and savory combination without sounding quite as heavy.

Both delicious sandwiches i give them a 5/5. Also got two drinks, Iced strawberry Matcha & Iced Latte. They both were really good and refreshing. 5/5 The cafe is really nice inside and outside with comfortable seating and good lighting.

I have to say, the coffee was excellent, very well balanced, with the perfect blend of marshmallow flavor and coffee without either overpowering the other. The marshmallow topping was a fun touch with the crumbles it just added a little extra sweetness and texture to the drink. The avocado toast was fresh and flavorful, it had arugula, tomatoes, some type of cream cheese or cream with a chili and it made it the perfect pairing with the latte. Overall, it was a great experience, friendly staff. I'd definitely come back to try more from their menu.

Genuinely the best coffee I've ever had. My mom got the Iced Vanilla Affogato Latte and I got the Iced Marshmallow Latte. I like my coffee more sweet and she likes hers more strong. They were both perfect. Also not pictured but I had the avocado toast and it was only $7! Packed with chili flakes, burrata, arugula, absolutely delicious. My coffee and sandwich was amazing! Forgot to take a picture of my drink, but I got the Iced Banana Bread Latte with half the syrup and it was delicious! I also got the prosciutto & fig sandwich and it lasted me 2 meals for how big it was! Such a cute place with both indoor and outside seating with plenty of outlets to work or study (they do have wifi)! The workers were friendly too! Only downside is parking. You have to park in the nearby neighborhoods or across the street, but that won't stop me from coming back to try more drinks and sandwiches! read more

Parking 3/5 -Street parking only in front of the cafe, but there's also a big plaza parking lot available across the street. Service 5/5 -Friendly staff, owner was working at the register and gave us menu recommendations. This is also when we found out he was born and raised in LV, love that we are supporting a local business! Food 5/5 -Pistachio mortadella $15, the perfect refreshing summer sandwich. The focaccia is light and fluffy, the pistachio cream complimented the mortadella really well, every bite was addicting. -Tuscan truffle $15, this sandwich was a lot more savory. My favorite part was the eggplant caponata, it was saucy and countered the deep flavor of salami so well. Get this if you want something complex and full of flavors! -Iced strawberry matcha $7.5, I'm not an expert at matcha drinks but this was yum! It had strawberry cream top on top and puree on the bottom, matcha in the middle. It tasted harmonious and not separated, matcha tasted rich and mixed with the strawberry made me feel like I was having a dessert! Sweetness was perfect, not too sweet. -Iced latte $6, strong and creamy, my biggest fear with lattes is when they come out too milky and weak, this was not the case at all. Ambiance 5/5 -The interior had a minimalist design that makes it feel almost like a cave, comfortable seating. Good environment for remote work or catch up with friends, they do play music. Parking can be tough but once inside, there is a nice ambiance and vibe. There is indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. The menu is small but their specialties/seasonal drinks are probably the best. We got the smores lattes and a regular latte which were both good. I really hope they keep the smores latte because it wasn't too sweet and had such a nice flavor especially with the foam on top. The regular latte was also good and strong, with no acidic espresso flavor which I liked. I would definitely come back and want to try their affogato latte next! read more

Vici Cafe is located on the ground level of the V Tower Apartments across the street from the Linda Vista Plaza. Parking was all curbside unless there were dedicated spots behind the building which I didn't bother to investigate. The inside was modern and spacious with tables to the right, countertop seating to the left adjacent to a window, and on the other side of said window was an outside patio equipped with small round tables. To the left of the service counter was a spread of baked goods in a display case. To the right of the service counter were various deli meats and vegetables. The menu was listed on a wall behind the counter and also as two sheets. Breakfast items, pastries, and focaccia sandwiches were the food categories. Coffee, tea, and specialty drinks made up the beverage offerings. Of the seven kinds of sandwiches, my selection was the Tuscan Truffle. The ingredients on the focaccia bread were Tuscan turkey, peppered salami, truffle goat cheese, eggplant caponata, garlic aioli, and calabrian hot honey. I liked the pepperiness from the salami as well as the kick from the hot honey. They added mild spiciness to the sandwich which was cut in half and neatly wrapped in wax paper before being placed inside a cardboard box. I gave a four star rating for my takeout experience at Vici Cafe. read more

Love the space and menu -- super friendly service as well. We parked across the street at the shopping plaza and walked over, so parking wasn't an issue for us. The sandwiches looked amazing but we had just eaten so we ordered 2 matcha lattes, 1 strawberry and 1 unsweetened. Both were great and the strawberry one was perfectly balanced. I usually don't like my matcha flavored but I did enjoy this one! It has a little bit of jam/fruit puree, as well as a strawberry cold foam with freeze dried strawberries. I don't believe they up charged for milk substitute either. We'll be back to try the sandwiches! read more

Amazing little neighborhood cafe. They have many specialty latte flavors to choose from and so many unique Italian sandwiches. The focaccia bread is absolutely incredible and they have so many sandwich spreads and Italian meats to really elevate it. I love when a coffee shop not only has good coffee but even better food! Add lots of seating, outlets, & WiFi and you have the perfect work from home cafe, which they had all of!! It's so cute inside with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and they are super dog friendly. read more

Vici Cafe has recently opened its doors. Since they are just getting underway, not all items are available yet, including the well balanced cortado and their signature sandwiches, but they are coming! Soon! In the meantime, I had an iced Americano with 2% milk and a dusting of cinnamon with a butter croissant. The Americano was well made and the coffee itself was very good. The butter croissant could have benefited from another minute in the warmer, but it was a good croissant nevertheless. The cafe offers a variety of espresso based beverages, ceremonial matcha lattes, and regular teas as well. The service was very friendly and the employees were welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a warm atmosphere and some of the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. This has quickly become my new favorite coffee spot in San Diego! I ordered the banana latte with whole milk, the prime rib sandwich, and a plain bagel, and everything was absolutely delicious. This hidden gem in Linda Vista has an incredible vibe, outstanding customer service, and a genuinely welcoming feel that makes you want to stay awhile. They go above and beyond to make every visit special. If you're looking for great coffee, delicious food, and an amazing experience, this place is a must-visit. I have been here twice and enjoyed both experiences. The aesthetic and ambiance are very calm and peaceful. The sandwich with fig jam was delicious and the portion size was way bigger than what I was expecting! The star of the show for me was the strawberry matcha latte. It was definitely made with love because it tasted delicious and the presentation was cute. It's more on a the sweet side but I love my matcha that way. If the line is long, they move through it at a decent rate. The staff are all very friendly. I highly recommend checking Vici Cafe out! read more
I have a deep love for strong and sweet-but-not-too-sweet coffee. Don't be fooled by the whole marshmallow in the Iced Toasted Marshmallow latte. It absolutely did what I needed it to do. This cafe is hidden and tucked away on a busy street but is definitely such a gem once you walk in! Parking is a bit tough but there is a parking lot towards the back. We ordered the Pistachio Mortadella (yum), the Turkey Aioli (also yum) and the Ham & Salami (yum, but a little on the sweet side). The bread for all of them was the right amount of chewy/crispy. They also all had a good amount of toppings to bread and aioli ratio. I would for sure get the pistachio and turkey again. It was fairly busy, but we still received our sandwiches pretty quickly. The only thing a little off was that they called us up as they finished each one, vs. just giving them to us all at once. Vici Café is one of the prettiest cafés I've been to. The space is so clean, modern, and calming, with beautiful lighting and such an aesthetic interior. The sandwich was AMAZING and honestly one of the best I've had in a while. The worker that helped me gave good recommendations and was super sweet and helpful! Vici Cafe is so aesthetically pleasing - it's so pretty, with a lot of open space - inside and out. My best friend heard about this place on social media so we had to give it to try. We came by on a Sunday and the line was out the door. Luckily, we didnt wait too long to get the front. We got the white chocolate raspberry latte & the strawberry + cream matcha; we have never finished coffee so quick lol it was really good! We did want to try the latte that had marshmallows but unfortunately they had just ran out when it was our turn but thats okay because it gives us a better reason to come back! read more

I ordered a seasonal strawberry matcha and the truffle sandwich. I did enjoy the matcha, it was good! And the sandwich was a good size and had freshly sliced meats which was good. I will say the line moved extremely slow and maybe could be because they only have the specialty drinks on a small paper at the register so maybe people don't know what they want til they're at the register. Also my sandwich did take about 30-40 minutes. Buttt it was good and I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind. Was cute and clean inside and they have a patio which is nice too. read more

This is one of my favorite cafes in San Diego! The drinks and sandwich we got were so good, and staff were super friendly and recommended some of their favorites. Strawberry matcha (w/ oat milk) - very strawberry milk-forward; if you like Korean strawberry milk, you'll love this. I didn't taste much of the matcha, but it's definitely in there because the matcha color was very vibrant. Either way, it was delicious! Toasted marshmallow latte - the coffee was absolutely delicious! Loved how it wasn't too sweet nor milky, it was perfectly balanced. Pistachio mortadella sandwich - FYI, we subbed the truffle goat cheese for mozzarella. I'm sure it'd be even better in its original form. But nonetheless, I loved this sandwich!! It was a good balance between sweet and savory, and I loved the nuttiness from the pistachio. I'd definitely get this again and try some of their other sandwiches as well! The ingredients were super fresh. There was a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I love the interior design of the space, and it'd be a great cafe to study or work at.
