Cute little social spot to grab some coffee and a bite to eat before you start the day. I love the service here super friendly and the ambience is on point. I absolutely love it so bright and vibrant.
Simple little coffee shop meant to service the office workers and residential tenants of the community. There's a decent selection of specialty lattes, pastries, and ready made meals. Not too much fluff, but what they do they do well. Interior is simple and small, location is a bit hidden away from the general public. There's a large, albeit paid parking structure right next to it for patrons wanting a break from what's on the other side of the 163. Customer service is always great, timely and attentive. And they'll make cold foams for any flavor you want. Overall super happy that this place is here for the lazy, work-from-home days

Perk Social is pure charm wrapped in the aroma of good coffee and good energy. From the moment you walk in, the vibe feels easy, calm yet full of life. The space is adorable, the coffee delicious, and the staff genuinely friendly and welcoming. It's one of those places that makes you want to slow down, sip, and stay awhile.
PERK (NOT PARK) (4.5 stars) YES, there is a Park Social and a Perk Social - both in the same area. Park Social is more visible, more of a hangout, with a warm kitchen. Perk Social is focused on being just a coffee shop with a very small casing of pastries. Both under the same owners (hence the names and location) but Perk Social does better crafting at their espressos drinks. Oh, and they too use CAFE MOTO BEANS! Both places reasonably price their lattes - I appreciate that! I don't often have to travel onsite but when I do, I am making it almost routine to drop here first. I bet you didn't know... the parking structure is free for the first hour. I park there since parking is limited in the area, get my latte, and go. :: ORDERS :: PEACH ARNOLD PALMER - sounded enticing, tasted underwhelming. The taste wasn't refreshing or sweet, it was blank ice tea with peach flavor. No sweetness to it. ARIVA LATTE ($4.75) - cinnamon and agave. This was their take on a Cinnamon Latte but with the use of agave instead of honey (basically, healthier). I liked this one! I can go on and on and already have about Cafe Moto Beans and how smooth they are. So I won't bored you in this review. HIGHLY RECOMMEND LUXE LATTE ($4.75) - brown butter and mocha. I thought this one was going to be special but it taste like what it describes a mocha. Don't get me wrong, I like mochas when in the mood. If are you looking for something chocolate-y this might be up your alley. RECOMMEND CARAMEL LATTE ($4.75) - they have a list of flavors, caramel and caramel sauce are two of them. I went with just caramel and this would probably be my go-to drink here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BANANA CHOCOLATE BREAD - I love banana bread and this pairs nicely with any of the above hot beverages. If you do not ask for it to be warmed up, the pastry isn't room temp, it's cold as in it's been refrigerate - and I am ok with that. Not sure what that tickles my taste buds, cold pastry and then a hot sip of deliciousness. RECOMMEND Until the next review
I ordered the Ariva Latte which had cinnamon and agave. This latte was delicious and not too sweet, but served at an appropriate temperature. Additionally, I had the Ube Marshmallow cookie and it was fluffy, scrumptious. The barista was professional and the coffee shop was very clean with a good vibe. This coffee shop is on the hidden side located in a residential area, but worth checking out.
I got a decaf vanilla lavender latte, and it was great! I also got a blueberry muffin- very dense yet still moist, a good, filling food. The baristas were very nice and made easy conversation, I also heard them referring to their regulars by name and remembering faces- just like you want when you come to a cafe. This place is also so pretty- the earth tones and warm atmosphere combine into the perfect cafe. This place is EXACTLY the vibe people come to California for, and I'm very impressed.
Met a friend at Perk Social for coffee. It's a beautiful place with ample indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great, very friendly. The coffee was also delicious. We had a coconut latte and a taro + coconut latte; you can't go wrong with either one. Of note, this place can be a little bit tricky to find as it is tucked away and there's a far more visible place called Park Social really close by.
Stopped by here on a Wednesday afternoon to grab a pick me up after seeing many TikToks about it. I ordered the Luxe Latte, which is brown butter and mocha, and liked it! The coffee is rich and deep, not watered down, and you definitely get the taste of smooth chocolate and butter. The menu is pretty simple -- they have lattes, teas, and pastries on display. Also packed lunches and drinks like Ollipop. Inside is very cute and clean! Lots of rose gold and colorful speckled design. Feels very fun and vibrant, I didn't spot too many outlets, but I'd definitely study here since it's quiet and clean. They also have a spacious outside seating area, with colorful pillows and tables with the same speckled design. Perfect for cool summer days in San Diego. I would visit again! Would recommend!
The place is amazing! Interior is So zen and spacey cool spot to study or a meet greet. Service was great! Fast, polite and staff were all friendly. I ordered 2 matchas, I got my husband the regular and I got the one with strawberries, safe to say both were delicious but we just liked the one with the strawberries better!
Overall, it's a really pretty coffee shop. Pros: -large space for seating and meeting people inside and out -outlets (but it only one inside that I saw the rest are outside in their patio area) -azteca d oro was super delish -Lots of food and drink options outside of coffee -parking validation for 2 hours max -friendly service -prices are reasonable -location is pretty and quiet -wifi available -short simple coffee menu Cons: -Parking area was kind of confusing to find with gps -parking validation was also kind of confusing -with how large the space is I expected way more outlets but most are outside and in the summer being out their just got hot since their isn't much shade by the outlets -espresso had a burnt taste in cortado -I saw some people get actual mugs when I was given paper cup and for me I just appreciate my coffee in real mug or glass but hey that's me -wifi was spotty for me outside -layout of the coffee shop can feel overwhelming and confusing With how short the parking validation was it just didn't feel worth it. The layout of the coffee shop and lack of plugs was really a downer too so won't be coming back to do homework. Overall, decent experience.
This is a place to hang out. They have games, abundant alcohol, ample seating, large food menu and good wifi to work. Other cafes and restaurants are built to get people in and out quickly. Perk Social is a good third space.

I had an iced latte and a banana chocolate chip loaf at this community coffee shop while visiting a friend at Sunroad Enterprises at Spectrum Center. The latte was very good. I had it with oat milk and a touch of cinnamon. The latter had just the right amount of ice, too. They use Cafe Moto. The loaf was very tasty. It did need to be heated just a little bit more, but it was super moist and soft. The coffee shop offers a lot of good inside and outside seating. It's a great place for meet up and meetings. The hospitality was good and so was the service. They offer ready made food items as well. read more
I absolutely loved this coffee spot!! It is right across my hotel so I was able to take a nice walk here. There is a variety of pastries and food items. I chose a special breakfast sandwich that tasted great!! I definitely want to try the zucchini bread next time. I got an iced matcha latte w almond milk and added pistachio coconut syrup! It was delicious!! This spot is perfect for reading or just hanging out w friends! Staff was friendly!! read more

Met a friend at Perk Social for coffee. It's a beautiful place with ample indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great, very friendly. The coffee was also delicious. We had a coconut latte and a taro + coconut latte; you can't go wrong with either one. Cute spot we stumbled upon while looking for quiet, spacious spaces to study. It can be a bit hard to find, but it's in the middle of business centers with a parking garage. The cafe validates your parking up to 3 hours. The spot is super cute, lively, bright, yet not too busy or loud. They offer many types of aesthetic coffee, and have a cold brew on tap. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor patio seating with shaded umbrellas and outlets. Didn't actually try their drinks but Id recommend the atmosphere to get some work done! read more

I got the strawberry matcha but it was a major let down. It looked even worse before I stirred it because the matcha was not the nice matcha green but the brownish green. They probably use the bulk bag of culinary matcha from Costco, it seems similar :( For $6, I expect better. At the very least, whisk it better so it's not clumpy :((( My boyfriend got the Toffee Almond Pecan. It is fine. Not amazing. Wish I got it instead of the matcha. I would give the drinks a 3/10 but the store itself is really cute and has nice vibes. read more
Place was so cute inside. Very modern chic, open, clean setting. The employee who helped me was friendly and made some small talk while I waited. Delicious nitro cold brew! Prices seemed very fair to me. I just wish they were open on the weekends too. Might need to try some of their snacks next time. read more

Randomly stopped by here because I was on a business trip, at a hotel nearby and it was my last day so I didn't have a vehicle with me, so I just googled a breakfast place near me and this place popped by. Your first impression when you walk in this coffee shop is...it's cute. I don't typically use that word much but that is seriously the vibes this little spot gives off. And that's not a bad thing. It's cute in a chic and hip kind of way. They have decent indoor seating but they also have a lovely little patio with ample seating, which is a must when living in San Diego. The coffee shop is located in an assuming spot of an office building, sandwiched between a huge parking garage and the Vive Luxe luxury apartments. So it's actually really easy to miss unless you know it's there. But it's an awesome little spot for your coffee and tea needs. They have you standard coffee drinks but I would recommend you try their specialty lattes, which are named after the apartment complexes it is surrounded by - Ariva, Vive on the Park and Vive Luxe. My personal favorite is the Luxe Latte which is an brown butter infused mocha drink. Get it hot or iced - you can't go wrong. The prices are great also! Plus they have both freshly baked pastries/goods and chilled sandwiches/salads for lunch. Wished they were open on weekends but I guess it makes sense for them to close on weekends when the office building they are in is also closed. read more

5/5 - love this place. It's beautiful, has super friendly baristas, drinks are pretty good, and the prices aren't eye-gouging! It's in the "Spectrum" area and is part of a business building and surrounded by apartments. The good: -they'll warm up the pastries -free validated parking in the next door lot -nice, patio spaces with outlets -gorgeous interior (no outlets by the tables) -good, fair prices!! -lots of different spaces connected to perk social where you can sit and eat -the two Baristas are so sweet (blond girl and dark haired guy) The Not-so-bad: Bathroom is clean, but a bit of a maze to get to The Ugly: The flies. This whole complex has a fly problem, but not gonna ding Park for that! (though it'd be good to get the swarms out from the interior section) read more

Got a little lost trying to find this place, it's in the middle of a big apartment complex. There's a parking garage and also lots of street parking. Inside there's tons of space and an adorable outside area with plush seating. I tried their luxe latte that they did some cute latte art on. I also ordered their bacon cheddar scone that the barista recommended warmed up. There's also a few spots to plug in your laptop if needed! read more

Their menu is a little confusing because the names of the coffees are unique but you have no clue what the drink consists of. They have a couple drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and a matcha and a bunch of syrup options. I got a lavender matcha and my friend had a toasted almond latte. The matcha comes unsweetened and the lavender was so subtle that I couldn't really taste it. Overall, it kind of just tasted like milk :/ my friend's latte was pretty good! It had a nutty flavor and I could tell they use high quality coffee beans. The ambiance is unmatched! The interior is stunning and it has a very open concept. There is a good amount of seating and because this place is still pretty new, there weren't many people there. You park in the parking structure next to it and they do free validation! The wifi works really well and there are even outlets on the patio! Overall, I really liked it and will be coming back :) read more

Very cute spot for coffee with plenty of seating and WiFi. It's a weird location, it's in a business/apartment place but the parking structure gives you free parking for 2 hours with validation and it's pretty close to the place. Very friendly customer service. I got the luxe latte, it was good with cute latte art on top. If you're in the area try it out! read more

First time being in this new coffee shop located by Clairemont mesa Blvd. A little hidden so I recommend you guys using google maps . I like the ambiance as you walk in, feels relaxing and you can hangout and chill with your friends of which they have a patio connected to it. Drinks are great of which they use Cafe Moto coffee beans which is one of the good coffee roasters in San Diego. And the Service is also great because they greet you as you walk in the door. read more

Solid cafe with beautiful, spacious interior and plenty of seating. A friend and I came in to do some quick work around lunch time and there were just a few people doing work or hanging out. The barista was very nice, friendly, and patient in answering our questions about their drinks. I got the Luxe Latte, which has a brown butter mocha flavor to it. It tasted somewhat savory, but I enjoyed my latte and the mug it came in felt very nice and comfortable on the hands. They use Cafe Moto beans. I had Cafe Moto before at a different coffee shop, but it wasn't very good so I was a bit worried to try it again. Thankfully it turned out much better than I anticipated! My friend had the Azteca de Oro (Mexican mocha). He previously had a very bad experience with Mexican mochas, but he enjoyed this take on it as it was more balanced in the spice usage. -Free wifi- my friend said it was not the best for his remote work, although it worked fine on my phone. -Possible lack of free parking, although we didn't really search around to see if there were free options. We parked in the parking structure right next to it but at a fee. read more
