Baci coffee has been on my SD bucketlist of coffeeshops for so long, I don't know why I didn't try it sooner! Ample selection of drinks to choose from, apart of customizations. I tried the golden grove matcha (matcha drink blended with banana puree) and it was sooo delicious and refreshing. Of course, can't leave without trying their sweet croissants you see all over social media. Our group shared 2 - the midnight garden (pistachio + chocolate) and the strawberry roma (with a cheesecake filling). Both served warm, both are comforting and rich in flavor. The space inside is so much larger than anticipated, with ample of seating and beautiful dècor. There is so much to see inside, including a shop of imported Italian goodies like olives, jams, chocolate bars, cookies, and more. Staff is the friendliest I have met in a while, going above and beyond with taking our orders and being attentive. I look forward to coming back and bring a friend to try more of their sweet croissants and drinks. Getting there can be a bit tricky - if you miss the entrance, you'd have to make a U-turn or go around to return. But other than that, once you take the correct entrance there are signs leading to their parking lot. read more

Stopped In for a midday pick me up. Parking is small so I can't imagine how crazy it'll get when this place is super busy or other businesses are also open. The under the Tuscan moon area was booked and many tables have reserved placards up so highly recommend it if you want to sit in a particular section. Inside was very pretty none the less, we had a cute table for the two of us, and there there shelves of Italian goods for purchase. The menu was extensive, but there were quite a few items that they were out of stock and my husband was a little disappointed. For us the drinks were very sweet. Strong but a little too sweet for my personal preference. I think the sugar overpowered the caffeine so I was not a fan personally. I think this is my new favorite coffee shop! My fiancee took me here because I wanted to have a slow Saturday morning and read my book. And boy was this a hiddengem! The aesthetics alone are worth the trip! Absolutely gorgeous decor and the shop itself is massive with 4 different themed rooms. Everything was so meticulously decorated and thoughtful it made the experience for us. We ordered the pistachio flight (only available when you make a reservation), the gingerbread chai, strawberry lemonade, the baci breakfast sandwich, and the Italian croissant. Here are our thoughts: Pistachio flight- phenomenal Gingerbread chai- amazing and spiced in the best way Strawberry lemonade- honestly horrible will never get again. Too watery and not flavorful. Went to Baci Coffee Speakeasy -- definitely a hidden location. I honestly would've never known it existed without looking it up. The interior is super cute with a charming Italian vibe. The decor alone deserves five stars -- really well done and cozy. That said, the food felt overpriced for what you get. Service was very slow (we waited about 45 minutes), and while the staff was nice and friendly, the food itself was just okay -- nothing special. Been on my list for a while now and glad I can finally check off coming here. Came on a Sunday morning before a Costco trip. It was about 10am when I arrived and it was busy. We ended up ordering two coffees and a breakfast gross ain't to share. They must've been down someone in the kitchen + with it being pretty busy (about 15 people there) they were backed up. We didn't end up getting our food and drinks to go until about 1040. About a 25 minute wait. They have a lovely and large selection of drinks. I spent like ten minutes just trying to decide! They have about 25 drinks to choose from and another 20 items on their food menu. They also sell Italian products (salsa, pasta, condiments, non perishables etc) here as this is the breakfast / coffee portion of their restaurant which is down the street. Parking is atrocious. You go down a skinny driveway and then there are only 5ish parking spots right in front of the store. It's connected to an apartment building and they have reserved parking spots for them. I parked there as I knew I wouldn't be long but it's not a great parking situation. As soon as you enter it's filled with warmth and coziness. The thing that catches your eye first is the wishing tree. There are sheets of paper where you can write down your goals, wishes, desires or notes for others to read. There are seating in the first section for 20 people and then there is a separate section that people can sit and enjoy their meal and that can fit about 40. It's still not completely finished with the lighting in that section but unless you're looking up, you won't notice. Vibes is definitely on point. The Roman Mirage which is chocolate pistachio latte made with housemade creamy pistachio butter was much better than the Happiness Latte which is an indulgent latte with turmeric, agave, & cinnamon. All drinks come in a 16 or 24oz cup. The Roman was better because it was much more flavorful. You could taste the different flavors and it all mixed in smoothly. The happiness latte was a bit more mellow. The Godfather which cost 12.49 had Ham, Provolone, Arugula, Pepperoncini, and Spinach Aioli. A runny egg would have made this from a great dish to a *chef kiss* but I was happy with this. The aioli was delightful. read more

Thanks to my trusted Yelp App, I've been to Baci Coffee a couple of times. It's located in Mission Valley and tucked away on top of the hills of Camino Del Rio South. The parking situation is interesting but you'll clearly see marked signage. Baci means "kisses" in Italian. I definitely feel the looove. I call it my safe coffee haven. The vibes are always serene and majestic. I was immediately drawn to the decorations as soon as I walked into this café...sooo beauuutiful. I'm a huuuge fan of anything lunar and floral. It's SUCH a cute getaway here. Like a small little hideout. I went on a little spontaneous outing with my family and stumbled across this cafe. It was not small at all. It was actually very spacious!! And the fall decor was super cute too! I got a latte and a nutella strawberry croissant and the croissant was to DIE FOR. Honestly the best croissant I've had in my life. The filling could use some work though. As for the latte, it was great! Perfect amount of sweetness and had amazing depth in flavor. I love how there were different themes in the shop too! I sat under the tree where you can write down a wish/dream/goal on a piece of paper and hang it up. It was a sweet kind of experience that reminded me of my childhood :) The service was nice and sweet and they really took care of us. Such a cute little coffee shop!! Ambiance was so festive with their Christmas decor! My friend and I felt so relaxed. Their atmosphere was exquisite. It was so spacious that despite when they're busy (because they're so popular), it still felt nice and secluded for my friend and I. Very intimate setting. Their coffee was delicious, and their croissants were sooOo flaky! I loved how they had both sweet and savory options. Customer service was top notch. The only thing that I found difficulties with were- 1. Finding the location. There are signs and banners leading to the coffee shop. However, I turned a little too early, turn UP the yellow-ish ramp and you'll be able to find the coffee shop on the right! 2. Parking. Parking was slim which makes larger group gatherings a little difficult- recommend carpooling if you're planning to have a large festive group gathering! They had maybe 5-6 stalls assigned right in front of the shop for one hour parking. Where Baci Coffee really excels is in their incredibly well-thought-out interior design and atmosphere, and their high level of customer service. The food and coffee itself do, however, leave something to be desired. The design and structure of this shop is impressive. It's an expansive restaurant, coffee shop, and store that fills out an entire apartment building lobby. They have a curated selection of Italian goods--similar to what you'd find in Mona Lisa or Filippi's in Little Italy--plus numerous tables, a decorated dining room, and a fake tree where you can pin cards with dreams written on them. The woman who took my order was very friendly and cordial. I got an Americano and a "Casanova Chicken Melt." The Americano was decent, but not as good as some of the more selective shops in town. It lacked the uniform flavor of a high-quality roast and didn't have recognizable flavor notes. The sandwich was decent, but kind of tasted like an elevated chicken salad sandwich. Overall, I think this is a cool place. They obviously put in a serious effort. However, there's room to grow in terms of coffee and food selections. You can make a reservation where a host comes around and takes your order, or you can order from counter. They do take a little longer to serve but you have to know that you will have to spend a little time enjoying the atmosphere. Location is a bit off from all the other businesses within Mission Valley so it is tucked away in an apartment complex. Ambiance is gorgeous. Very girlie for a meetup for coffee or brunch. I visited Baci twice--first on May 4, 2025, and again on June 26, 2025. After being impressed by the food and charming atmosphere during my first visit, I returned with a different friend to share the experience. During my initial visit, my friend and I weren't greeted very professionally. A young woman at the counter casually remarked to a coworker, "There's another walk-in," which left us confused until we clarified what she meant. There were only two other tables occupied at the time--just four people in the restaurant--so the comment felt unnecessary. We later learned there was a reservation-only room, but we only wanted coffee and toast and didn't need to sit there. Once that was clarified, we picked a table and waited for our food. We ordered coffee, Amalfi toast, and dessert croissants. The total came to $83 for two people, which felt a bit steep. However, I genuinely loved the Amalfi toast and the Peaches and Dream croissant, and I raved about both the food and the venue afterward. Unfortunately, my second visit was disappointing. Our order took over 25 minutes just to receive the first item, and the coffees still hadn't arrived by the time I took my first photo. To make matters worse, my friend's order was incorrect and had to be remade, which took another 10 minutes. I ordered the exact same items as before, but they didn't look or taste the same. The croissant, in particular, was a letdown--it didn't resemble the one I had previously or the photos that initially enticed me. The service was notably better on the second visit, but the inconsistency in food quality, slow service, and high prices make it hard to justify a third visit--especially considering the distance I traveled to get there. read more

Plenty of signs from the street that directs you up a ramp. Park in designated spaces or spaces w no number. Italian themed cafe w a speakeasy and mini convenience section for Italian snacks. The menu is all things pistachio with drinks, pastries and light breakfast items. We ordered the Roman mirage and Secret Garden latte. Both are the same except Roman is chocolate pistachio and Secret is strawberry pistachio with strawberry purée. We skipped out on the breakfast but got a sweet pastry. It's made fresh and came out longer. We got the Midnight garden which is a chocolate pistachio croissant. I think I happen to get the sweetest pastry out of the 4. The pastries are really decadent and rich with lots of fillings in the middle and top. It was too much and overload in sweetness for my liking. The croissant was a nice size and flaky. I bet their plain croissants are really tasty without all the toppings. The speakeasy room is by reservations only. It's opened on holidays and weekends. There are a couple of parking spots right in front just for Baci customers & for the rest of us, you will have to find an open, unreserved spot. Make sure to read the signs. & parking is tight! You have people parking hella close & look out for potholes. We made a reservation for their speakeasy. They say that the menu is exclusive to the speakeasy, but you can get those coffees at the cafe (the food is exclusive to the speakeasy). They may or may not give you complimentary bread, you just have to ask. Our poor server was swamped! I think she may have been the only one manning the speakeasy & she said the kitchen was super backed up & we waited ~30 minutes for our drinks, another ~30 for food. The drinks we got were very tasty! I think their OG Pistachio Latte was my fav, so creamy & sweet. I would not recommend eating at the speakeasy because the food menu is just insanely expensive for what it is. Super cute and large coffee & lunch spot. Perfect for small reception to celebrate a special occasion. I made reservations as I was under the impression that this was the only way to dine in their Speakeasy and order from their Under the Tuscan Moon Exclusive Menu. I made a reservation for a Friday for 3 at 11am. I arrived 15 minutes early. I only saw 3 staff members in the food prep area. No dedicated Host/Hostess or Cashier. From my observation, what made them busy was not enough staffing - it was not heavy with customers. I noticed guests seat themselves in the Speakeasy so reservations aren't necessary but recommended incase they book up. Reservations only through Open Table with a $10/person no show/-48 hour cancelation fee. After about 40 minutes sitting at the table chatting with no one checking in on us, I got up and placed our order at the order window. I felt bad for the young lady working the register as she was also busy making and serving drinks. While 2 young men also hustled in the back to keep up with orders. Super friendly staff even under the pressure. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly and presentation was lovely. Again, staff was not readily available to call on and we had to look for staff to request for napkins and drink adjustments. My Filthy Chai Latte was delicious - I recommend ordering it extra hot. My friend's Iced Signature Latte tasted watered down. My daughter enjoyed her Iced Bellissimo. I appreciated that they had milk alternatives and we ordered 2 drinks with Almond Milk. They also had options to adjust sweetness level. The Toast Flight was perfect - sourdough toast had the perfect stiff crust with a flaky, crunchy, soft chew to the toast. The toppings were fresh and seasoned nicely. The Don sandwich had chunks of marinated dark meat chicken rating it 4/10 for me - we assumed it would be chicken breast. The Beaches & Capri came with chunks of marinated dark meat chicken (same as in The Don) rather than a chicken salad - the description read "Chicken Salad w/Spinach, Arugula, Cherry Tomatoes, Croutons, Parmesan, Italian Dressing, Balsamic Glaze". I loved their Intentions Tree and the decor. I would definitely return as I loved their Toast Flight & Chai. Hopefully they are more staffed.
