Came here with my wife for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Didn't have to wait which was perfect and was seated rite away. Very cozy breakfast diner. Food was made to order and came quick. Service was good and didn't have to wait for coffee, they walk around refilling your glass which is great. Definitely worth trying out if you're in town.

I love classic NJ diners. Our first time at Vicki's as kids have off from school. We all loved it for lunch. My patty melt with fries and tasty onions was gigantic. Kids loved their pasta, grilled cheese quarters, mozzarella sticks, and fries. Classic meals were all on point: grilled cheese with tomatoes, turkey club, tuna melt. I like to order tomato juice at a diner and loved it was served in a large glass, nice and cold. Red Formica and classic booths make for a classic diner look. Our server was quick and friendly. Thanks to Vicki for creating this nice eatery in downtown. Fun!

Westfield diners are super pricey. I don't get it. Two grilled cheese and a french dip $46. The grilled cheese was basic. The chips could be house made but they are just ruffles. The side salads were good. They didn't include our side dressing; fail. The french dip wasn't seasoned but bread and au jus was good. After all this I picked up the order and she asked for a tip. Unbelievable. I think I will drive over to BH for Delicious Heights next time. 2.5 / 5.0 stars

I love coming to Vicki's Diner! The selection of food on their menu is great as well as their service. There are seats to accommodate 2, 4, and possibly 6 or 8 at the window as well as seating at the counter. Our server was very attentive and brought us our drinks and took our order in a timely manner. Everything was done precisely to our wants like my dressing on the side and extra pickles. I really like them there. My wrap was filled with a good amount of turkey and the lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were very fresh. My man had the Happy Waitress and he was very pleased. I love that I can walk here because like I soad their menu is great and everything in between.

Great local atmosphere with lots of energy!

I eat here at least once a week. It is a Westfield tradition! Great place for breakfast. The Vicki's special gives you coffee, pancakes or French toast, two eggs any style, and sausage, bacon or Taylor Ham--my favorite. The staff is great and the restaurant always has tremendous energy!

Love this diner! True diner feel, fast and friendly service and yummy, classic diner food. Always lively! We usually go for breakfast and if so, you must go early to beat the crowds, but this stop was for lunch!

Vicki's has great flavor. Great mom and pop dinner with a great vibe and good food. The spot is small and outdated but as soon as you try the food you can tell that they put their hearts into it. It's like eating at your grandma's house. Give it a try!

Foods not great. Super cheap ingredients and high prices. Don't go for lunch or dinner, your safest bet is going ONLY for breakfast.

The Westfield Diner opened in 1983 when I was away at college in Charlotte. It occupies part of the former Westfield Ford dealership complex, including the area once used for its parts and service operations. To me, the diner is a more-than-40-year-old piece of post-childhood Westfield. Before moving to Raleigh, I returned to the Westfield area and frequented the Westfield Diner. I always find it comforting to walk in and sit at a booth if I am with someone or at the counter if I am alone. This past Sunday, I visited my parents and other relatives at Fairview Cemetery and then went to the diner for brunch. I had to park on Elmer Street and walk down toward North Avenue because the parking lot was filled and overflowing. When I walked in, the line for booths and tables extended outside the door. However, since I was alone, I was able to quickly and easily claim a spot at the counter. My favorite breakfast at a New Jersey diner is two eggs sunny side up with pork roll--aka "Taylor Ham" in Union County and much of north Jersey--home fries, rye toast with grape and/or strawberry jelly, coffee with half & half, and water. For six months before moving to Raleigh, I came here every Saturday, sat at the counter and ate this meal. It is always delicious. I love the way the cooks place the eggs--staring up at you--right on top of the Taylor Ham. The wait staff and hostesses are always very professional, friendly and accommodating. Their hospitality is another quality that makes the experience at the Westfield Diner a real treat. There is also memorabilia from Westfield's past throughout the diner, both on the walls and behind the cashier's counter. The restrooms are always clean and well stocked. I always make sure I visit the Westfield Diner when I am back in the area. It gives me that hometown feeling and provides a place to sit, relax, eat and reconnect with an earlier time.

Weirdly snug parking lot (especially harrowing when you had to back out into a busy street), and walking inside everything felt oddly tight and squished together. We were now a bit unsure on where we'd decided to stop since the diners closer to homebase are much bigger (and inviting) all around. But... we received our menus (too long/large for our table!) and when we saw the hundreds of choices available - our skepticism disappeared. I went with a sloppy joe (Jersey version) and it was massive. And delicious. One kid went with a grilled cheese, the other with a chicken sandwich. We eventually had to tap out and request a doggy-bag. Good eats. Good pricing. Great waitress (there's no one quite like a Jersey diner waitress that's equally kind and cool and gruff and "Kiss my grits!" - right?). If I found myself down this way again I'd definitely swing back in for 'Round Two'.
