A staple in Hialeah and most Cuban households, this location has a special place in my heart. I grew up coming here every Sunday with my grandparents to pick up pastelitos and Cuban bread and Whenever family visits from out of town this stop is a must! Located across the street from Hialeah High and Azalias pharmacy, the parking lot is very busy due to other stores and restaurants in the same plaza. As soon as you enter you can smell the fresh Cuban bread, pastelitos, croquetas, and other deliciousness! We had to order the ham croquetas and a cafe con leche. Vicky's has the best cafe con leche. My grandma got the Iced cafe con leche and Ive never seen her devour an iced coffee the way she did this one. She loves ice coffee and this became her favorite. The service is usually fast and the ladies behind the counter have great memory. They never write down your order and never get it wrong lol. The Ice coffee did take a little long because the first one spilled while she was making it but overall service is usually great. It's a big bakery with options for party platters, cakes, and even piñatas. It's always clean and lots of options to choose from. read more

I've been to a lot of different Vicky's Bakery locations over the years and have never had an issue, which is why this experience was so disappointing. This was actually my second visit to this specific location, and unfortunately, the first time wasn't much different. The restaurant was packed, yet the employees at the front counter were busy chatting with customers who had already been helped instead of assisting the long line of people waiting to order. During this visit, the exact same thing happened. When I walked in, two of the front counter employees were standing there talking with customers while the bakery was full and people were waiting to be helped. It took longer than it should have just to get someone's attention. Once I was finally helped, I asked if they had pastelitos de coco. The employee told me they would have to make them, so I politely asked how long that would take. Instead of answering or saying something like, "Let me check for you," or "Give me just a moment," she simply turned around and walked away without saying a word. I stood there waiting for about five minutes, unsure if anyone was coming back to help me. Eventually, I decided to leave. It wasn't the fact that they needed to make the pastries that bothered me--it was the complete lack of communication and customer service. I've had nothing but positive experiences at other Vicky's Bakery locations, so it's disappointing that this particular location has now given me two poor experiences in a row. One of my childhood places since being Cuban born raised in Miami. I truly enjoy all they offer from birthday catering, custom cakes, sweets, treats, juices and the good old Cuban coffee. The place has since been a bit updated which makes things more modern. I am just upset that they dont have any indoor seating or outdoor for that matter. The employees dont really speak English which does not help expand to a greater market. Overall I will always come here because its is a favorite of mine to find Cuban pastries and more. read more

I hadn't had tequeños in SUCH a long time, and these were AMAZING! The coffee also was sooo good the perfect cafe com leche. This bakery is also very affordable, the portions are quite large. The only thing is the wait time since it gets pretty full. Also, we went to this specific location, which was great. We had gone to another location in Hialeah but we had a terrible experience. In the other location, they couldn't find our order and were saying that we were lying, the coffee was NOT the same it tasted watered down & the staff was rude! I was very surprised when I saw that this bakery has such low reviews especially since it's one of the oldest ones in Miami. Whenever I go out of town out of state, family always asked me to bring some Cuban bread and pastries, so how can I say no to that request. When I came inside, I was greeted by the hostess and the line, thankfully, was very short, so they attended to me in less than two minutes. They were all out of Cuban bread. However, they were nice enough to sell me the ones they use for sandwiches since it's the same thing only cut in half. In addition, I got a few pastries (Señorita's). This place had great customer service and a very friendly environment. The manager came by to say hi. They were quick to serve and the food was very fresh. The location is easy to access and we were out of there in just about 5 minutes. Vickey Bakery always is excellent and they serve such a high quantity of people, so its impressive that so many people get through same quality. Nowadays, this bakery is a chain, and lo and behold, this location is the one that started it all. Anyway, compared to others of this chain, this location is massive. Heck, they also have plenty of parking surprisingly given that they can be found in a plaza with a bunch of other businesses. That being said, we headed inside and bought some food for us and some to go. We bought an empanada, some croquettes, a sandwich, a café con leche, and a Sprite for us, plus two trays of croquettes for the party. Needless to say, we had food galore. All of the food was delicious and the service we received was great. The lady who attended us in particular was very kind and welcoming. I don't have any complaints. The pastry was pretty good however the croquetas were extremely greasy and the empanadas were ice cold. When I bit into mine, ice cold watery chicken burst out. There were 4 women working the counter not once did the lady at the register look up to ask me if I needed help. This afternoon when I went to pick up the cake it was nothing like their catalog cake. When I requested that they place buttercream pink flowers they said they were out of buttercream. Then they tried to charge me more money to add some flowers. i was so disappointed that they would treat a customer in that manner. Specially knowing that they had made a mistake with the order.
