Vicky's is an institution! I also go to the one on 49th street as it's the original location. You can count on getting fresh pastelitos as well as sandwiches and cuban coffee of course. The staff here always have a smile on their faces and greet you with such hospitality. It truly reminds me of going to my abuela's house. It's a classic cuban bakery so the atmosphere is bustling with folks speaking multiple languages. read more

I was very surprised when I saw that this bakery has such low reviews especially since it's one of the oldest ones in Miami. Whenever I go out of town out of state, family always asked me to bring some Cuban bread and pastries, so how can I say no to that request. When I came inside, I was greeted by the hostess and the line, thankfully, was very short, so they attended to me in less than two minutes. They were all out of Cuban bread. However, they were nice enough to sell me the ones they use for sandwiches since it's the same thing only cut in half. In addition, I got a few pastries (Señorita's). Both ladies were very nice and attentive to me and they made me feel at home. The pastries tasted delicious and the humor was nice soft away we like it. Thank you for excellent service. read more

I've ordered from this Vicky bakery a few times through ubereats. They always get my order correct and deliver in taste and quality. They have the best pastelitos de guayaba (guava). Those are my favorite and they always hit the spot. My kids love this bakery. You know if it's kid approved, it's good! I think all Vicky bakeries are the same on the inside where they display their delicious concoctions of magic and they are always busy. 5/5 amazing food. Got the guava and the cheese pastelitos they come in a pack of 25 each for $9 which is a reasonable price. The croquets were amazing flavor, best thing here. Also got the beef empanada which was cold on the counter but good flavor. Service was good but gets very crowded and slow so they focus on a ticket number system. Ambiance was nice, all the people are nice but they all speak Spanish and no English, so be prepared for that. Overall, good food. read more

For almost fifty years, the Hialeah-based chain of Vicky Bakery shops has survived the difficulties that all such establishments have endured in that time. The economy crashed, several times. Competition increased. Peoples' tastes changed, such that "toast" became an entree. And this, the original Vicky's on E 49th St., has watched traffic choke the road in front of the shop, making shopping there a chore, but still it has held on. So when I tell you that on a random Monday afternoon, the line at Vicky's counter was ten people deep, with some folks picking up birthday cake, others, boxes of pastelitos or croquetas, and siempre - always - a little something extra to eat in the car, I hope you'll believe that the food offered by Vicky Bakery is really, really good. Fifty years on, people still wade through traffic and fiddle with too-tight parking and line up ten-deep to buy this food, at this place, because they know that while there are other bakeries elsewhere, this is their bakery - in their neighborhood - the one that taught them how such foods should taste, the one their mom and tia and abuelita came to in the 70s, and the 80s, and last week. This place had great customer service and a very friendly environment. The manager came by to say hi. They were quick to serve and the food was very fresh. The location is easy to access and we were out of there in just about 5 minutes. Vickey Bakery always is excellent and they serve such a high quantity of people, so its impressive that so many people get through same quality. I ordered my food through grubhub. The croqueta preparada was inedible. Greasy and it weighed like 2 pounds. Cuban bread was just soft and sticky. This place used to have great croquetas. Not any more and I could make them better at home, you can tell they are frozen not fresh. read more

Horrible service. I ordered food for pick up online and it said my food was ready at 11:30. I went in person to pick it up and my food was not made. They didn't have a ticket for my food either and all employees kept ignoring me. No one wanted to help. I had to cancel my order and get my money back. Then I get a call from a amaryllis saying they found the ticket. I DONT WANT IT ANYMORE. Literally useless. read more

It was Sunday past noon. My boyfriend and I were running late (sorry mi amor, I really did think the party was at 2!), and well, I was hungry, wanted to bring something to a potluck birthday party, and we were in Hialeah. What ended making sense in this entire debacle? Heading over to Vicky Bakery. First and foremost, let it be known that this is the original one. Nowadays, this bakery is a chain, and lo and behold, this location is the one that started it all. Anyway, compared to others of this chain, this location is massive. Heck, they also have plenty of parking surprisingly given that they can be found in a plaza with a bunch of other businesses. That being said, we headed inside and bought some food for us and some to go. We bought an empanada, some croquettes, a sandwich, a café con leche, and a Sprite for us, plus two trays of croquettes for the party. Needless to say, we had food galore. All of the food was delicious and the service we received was great. The lady who attended us in particular was very kind and welcoming. I don't have any complaints. Instead I'm just really grateful that they have platters that one can buy at the last minute for parties. read more

I've had Vicky Bakery before and never had any issues. This was my first time at this location and we ordered some Croquetas, empanadas and guava pastry. The pastry was pretty good however the croquetas were extremely greasy and the empanadas were ice cold. When I bit into mine, ice cold watery chicken burst out. Everything went in the trash except for the guava pastry. I'll probably stick with my Broward location from now on. read more

Service lacks quite a bit along with attitude and a smile Went there today and ordered some pastries and wanted a Cafe Bonbon (1/2 espresso and 1/2 condensed mil). Well, I was told they didn't have any. So did the lady mean they had no espresso or no condensed mil?? Finally found me some quesitos Which is something that I have desperately been looking for since I went to Puerto Rico last spring. They are basically a pastry filled with cheese topped with a sweet glaze, or sugary substance. Kasey doors are by far one of the best dessert ever had. I walked into this bakery with the hopes that I would find me here. They were called something different, but let me tell you they taste about the same. This bakery had some of the most scrumptious looking desserts, they have a wide selection of desserts to choose from. You have to take a number when you walk in, and they will call you up by that number to take your order. If you're in The mood for a sweet tasty bite, or any sort of sweet treat, I would definitely recommend stopping by this bakery read more

I've been to many bakeries and many of them might have fresh pastelitos but with Vicky's bakery they are the definition of fresh if it wasn't because this bakery is far from my house I would be going every day. Even at 7'o clock at night the pastelitos are still super fresh and yummy, my friend actually introduced me into it and I enjoyed it very well read more

Fui en persona a poner una orden para recoger en 3 dias y despues de esperar 20 mins me tuve que ir porq la unica persona que estaba atendiendo no daba a basto. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Whenever I'm on this side of town I make sure to stop by here and have a few pastries. They are a full service bakery having not only pastries but desserts,cakes and coffee. The only downfall is the huge lines! If you're coming here in a hurry definitely stop at another bakery because waiting in the line is easily 20 minutes. read more

Very poor customer service today. I was the only one there with another guy that came in after me. There were 4 women working the counter not once did the lady at the register look up to ask me if I needed help. All of them were either taking orders or doing something other than taking care of customers that are actually IN THE STORE. It took over 15 minutes for me to get service I couldn't believe it. And then they acted like nothing the guy and I looked at each other in shock. I quickly left after Ingot my coffee and I WILL NOT go back again. read more

After years of being a customer, I will never order from Vicky Bakery. Ordered a cake for my daughter's 15th birthday over two weeks ago. This afternoon when I went to pick up the cake it was nothing like their catalog cake. When I requested that they place buttercream pink flowers they said they were out of buttercream. Then they tried to charge me more money to add some flowers. i was so disappointed that they would treat a customer in that manner. Specially knowing that they had made a mistake with the order. I asked them to refund me the money. Luckily, Publix was able to make a buttercream cake with beautiful pink buttercream flowers. I will never order from Vickys again. The quality of their cakes and desserts is not what it once was. read more

first off i will like to say this bakery needs some improvements. i made a online order at 557am when i arrived at the store at 610 my order was not found they looking clueless once i gave them my name and phone to show my order i placed. after a couple of checks they finally found my order. however they had to make my guava pastries 20 in which i had to wait along time making me late for work read more

This location should be ashamed of themselves .. first of all the ladies behind the counters have the worst attitude I've ever seen in my life. I come at 8 am and get some pastries and empanadas, bite into my croqueta and long behold ITS ICE COLD. I was so furious I asked for my money back . How are you serving cold pastries to People. AVOID this location at all cost. At least the manager was nice and gave me my refund after the woman proceeded to bring me back my order microwaved LOL. No thanks. I let them keep it. Great people working there. However, the bread was no longer bread and their guava pastelitos were imitation guava. Again their people are great and treated me like family. The avocado toast was very delicious and the bread was obviously fresh. The coffee was some of the best I've had in a breakfast spot, perfectly brewed. We would pass in the rest shed again though. Overall they're getting a three because the food was wasn't very good, and it's quite pricey.

From the moment we walked in, the customer service was excellent. The host and wait staff paid attention to every little detail and made us feel genuinely welcomed. To start, I ordered the cachapa and the lomo saltado empanada, and both were incredible. The empanada especially was packed with flavor. My wife had the bandeja paisa bowl, and I went with the risotto lomo saltado. That dish almost put me to sleep in the best way possible. Comfort food level 100. We had to finish the night with one of their coffees, and it was the perfect ending to the meal. Big shoutout to our server Elvis, who guided us through the menu and gave great recommendations. Usually menus with influences from so many different cultures can feel all over the place, but Luka somehow pulls it off perfectly. They're not just trying to do a little bit of everything.
