Staff is very friendly and know if you're in a talking mood or not I could see it with the other clients in the place. They are fast too they all work together as a team to complete work. Schmancy inside, they offer "free" drinks-alcohol and other. Nail technicians are nice. Pricy. Gel is no bueno. Bubbled and peeled day 2 on one nail, then a couple more lifted, peeled a few days after. Went back and it was painted over, aka bandaid and same nails are peeling. He said this is how gel is. Do powder. So pay $$$ for a trash product that they know is not the best and fails to last more then a few days? That's interesting. That's how a regular manicure is. Not gel. Terrible place. I waited over an hour just for a nail refill just to hear one of the techs tell an old regular she hasn't seen in years she's gonna help them instead of me who was waiting an hour. Took my daughter for eyebrow wax. She had full grown eyebrows and came out with crooked thin eyebrows. First thing I mentioned prior, was that I did not want thin eyebrows, just clean up, no trim. I went to get a nail fixed that I broke. I had never been there before and they did not do my full set. My regular nail tech was out of town that is the only reason I went there. Biggest mistake I should have just waited or removed my set. The male was more worried about who did my nails, if they were Asian or Hispanic, if they had a shop and how much I paid. My nail looks horrible and when I asked him to fix it he got upset did not fix it and charged me $10. I will never go there again and recommend that no one goes for their nails there. Very bad 1st experience. I went to this nail place to get my nail fixed because my other nail place couldn't help me at the moment and I was on a time crunch. I walk in the ladies were very welcoming and friendly. I sat down and a guy comes up to help me and I'm telling him the situation and the first thing he tells me is "why didn't you go there it's free there I'm gonna charge you." I was like "that's fine I just want to get it out of the way." So he starts doing my nail and I'm looking for the colors I need, but I only see one. So I told him I saw one color, but not the other and he proceeds to say "I told you not to come here you should have gone over there" after explaining my situation. So he hands me a piece of paper and says "write down the number" so I wrote down one number and I told him "here is one number for you I'm just having trouble finding the other color" and he goes "I already told you what to do." I was like "okay that's fine can you just take off the nail and I'll go back to my nail place when I have time." He said "I told you in the beginning why do you have to make it so difficult for me." I was looking for nearby salons near my apartment and this location has HEB, Great Clips, Sallies, Office Depot and across the street is Panda Express so this fits great. I've come here a couple of times and always great service. The energy there is always casual, friendly and the staff like to joke around with each other. The best value is the pedicure. It ranges from $40 and up. Its 50 minutes of really good pedicure service! You get feet, toes, and calf massaged, waxed and lotion-ed up. They are not in a rush, like most places. A pedicure, not that just gets the surface crud, they go in and take that icky build up that collects under you nails. It might be uncomfortable for a bit. If you dont like that, then, this place is not for you. The owner told me this is the place customers come with their ingrown toe nails (GROSS!). thats risky with getting that done. but, whatever...lol. read more

I have been getting my manicures at Vicky's Nails for over 3 years now, and never had a bad experience. The staff greets you when you enter and make you feel welcomed. yikes. today the police were called bc Jason wouldn't refund someone who was upset with his work. she asked him to redo them or remove the nails and refund her back. Jason was so rude and the cops even told him to redo her nails. watching that while waiting almost 2 hrs to finish my pedicure... this place is definitely falling apart. I went in here kind of spur of the moment for an eyebrow wax and the wait wasn't too long even though they seemed kind of busy. The woman that waxed my eyebrows did a good job and I was in and out quickly but the reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because it didn't seem like the cleanest place. When I went to the back room where they do the waxing, the chair I sat it had a towel on it (as they usually do) but it seemed kind of dusty like if they didn't really replace the towel after each customer. That made me feel kind of yucky but like I said, I was in and out so I didn't have to put up with it for too long. Went to get my nails done with my daughter. Simple manicures and pedicures nothing special. Nail polish started to peel that same day. Lasted two days on my daughter three the polish just peeled off. I noticed that the tool to cut the cuticles still has skins on them.... they don't clean their tools.... never coming here again. read more

She said " We have no time. We close at 7. Want to go home" I left and went to my usual guy on 151/410. My friend and I decided to go here instead of another place because she had been there before (been a long time though). What a mistake! I have had manicures at nail salons and spas and this place was the worst I have ever seen. First of all, the area was not cleaned before sitting me down. The owner had a dirty napkin with someone else's trimmed off skin and didn't bother to replace it. Their barbicide/sanitizing liquid containers looked gross. The equipment at the two stations that I sat at and next to looked dirty and not property cleaned. The owner wasn't paying attention to what she was doing for the most part. She nicked my cuticles on several fingers (which hurts as we all know!). AND she was supposed to do a manicure and put acrylic on my nails. All she did was put acrylic on my nails and filed them and that was it. Like really??! I could have done that myself at home and not paid $25! A DAY LATER AND THEY ARE ALREADY LIFTING!! Crap job!Then she starts on my friend's nails (she was doing tips), and she passed her on to her husband to finish. The husband glued my friend's nails on crooked!!! Not just one, but several of them!!! She was very upset especially the next day now because she has been looking at them. They did an extreme half a$$ job. And no we were not walk-ins, we made an appointment that morning to make sure we got taken care of. Hah. What a joke!!! They didn't even write it down b/c they didn't look like they knew about any type of appointment. I am also in the process of reporting the facility to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations due to the unsanitary conditions. I should have just left when I got sat down in the first place, but I didn't. Not gonna happen again. There are repeat customers here, but I don't know why.
