Came here for the first time, Im very picky and I'm a vegan. I called in advance, and they catered to my request and made me vegan (just beans) pupusa's. I haven't come across many places that will do this Bc they fall apart easily without the cheese, but Vicky was able to do this! Def recommend this place! Stopped by for the first time for lunch. Friendly people behind the counter. The food on the steam table looked pretty good, especially the pernil. Had the Cuban and 3 different empanadas. Cuban was great. The beef,cheese,plantain was the better than the other two. Not enough cheese in all the ones e tried. Will return to try some other items. read more

Vicky's is a really cool little place that I visit when I want some great Hispanic (ranges from Mexican to Dominican style and everything in between) food. I mostly get shrimp burritos at Vicky's because they are bursting, literally, with flavor and fresh ingredients. They give me their homemade salsa verde which is a somewhat mild "hot" sauce that complements the burrito, and pretty much anything, very nicely. In addition to being a very affordable place to eat simple, great-tasting food, the owners Vicky and her husband, are the friendliest people ever and always greet you with warmth. They now also serve homemade juices which they let me sample last night. Delicious! read more

I've gotten from here about 5 Times now and each time has been a pretty decent sized order for 6 or more people and they always get everything I order right and the prices are great as well. We always get an order of the guacamole and chips. Freshly made chips and guacamole is always on point. The Cuban sandwich is fantastic as well. We're fairly new to the area and had heard great things so we stopped by. For the most part this place does not disappoint! It's cash only, counter service place. We placed an order for 4 people and it took around 20 min to get our food, which wasn't too long. The pork burrito is amazing and the size of a baby doll. The only negative for my hubs was they were out of black beans and out red beans in instead. My brother got three pork super tacos and loved everything about them. The super tacos is 50 cents more and adds lettuce, cheese and sour cream to the taco. My son got two beef tacos with sour cream and he loved it. I got the chorizo and potato empanada and the make your own rice bowl. The empanada was one of the best I've ever had and still definitely be getting other flavors to try! The make your own rice bowl was a little dry from sitting on the hot line but still yummy. It was a little bland compared to the rest of the food and I'd probably get something else. The only big negative was the side of salsa we ordered. The chips we're homemade and really really good. The salsa on the other hand tasted like they opened a jar. That was really disappointing considering everything else was really fresh. And for $4 we felt a little gipped by that. But the service was outstanding and we'll definitely be going back. This is my favorite place to grab Hispanic food. The empanadas are to die for! I seriously haven't found a better empanadas on the island. They also have some amazing platters I love like carne asada. Additionally, it's one of the few places that actually sells tostones, which I rarely find at Spanish restaurants. This was a great experience for me. I've worked down the street from Vicky's for nearly 13 years and today was my first time. I had the Cuban sandwich. Yes; I have a thing for Cuban sandwiches. If is in the menu; Tommy has to try it. I am so glad I did. They are made to order so it took a little time but it was worth the wait. It was stuffed with pork. The bread right and all the other items that make a great Cuban were on point. The place is busy. Is very popular for their empanadas. Everyone that came after me was either ordering or picking up empanadas. I will try those on my next visit. Parking is a tight. I will say that can hurt the place and it is one of my reasons for not stoping at this location sooner. Service great. read more

First of all, food itself taste good, good portions, My husband and I were craving pupusas, chicharron (fried pork) with yuca but didn't know where to order from, so as usual, I checked yelp and saw good reviews on this place. I ordered pupusas with pork and cheese, cheese only pupusas and fried pork, I was surprised to find out a Salvadorian place didn't have fried yuca and sweet corn tamales, anyway I went to pick up my food but forgot to grab my cellphone and couldn't take pictures to prove what I saw. OMG!!! This place looks dirty inside the kitchen, I think it used to be a pizzeria before since there is a big oven, the cash register is full of papers all over, it also looks like they sell sweet bread but it was out not inside the shelves, so far what I taste it was good but they really need to do some DEEP CLEANING and buy some gallons of paint to retouch the place, if I was able to noticed how dirty the kitchen was from were I was standing from just think how it really is inside??? I really hope they read my review and do some cleaning because it make me feel like calling Health Department. read more

I really enjoyed the food I got from Vicky's. The rice and beans was flavorful and well cooked, the empanada was yummy and the pork literally fell apart with every forkful; cooked to perfection. Vicky threw in a few sweet plantains; yum! Sweet without being drowned in syrup/sauce or tasting like candy. Everything had flavor without it being overwhelming or salty. Vicky was warm, friendly and very nice. The rest of her staff was attentive. What a little hidden gem. The girl at the counter was friendly and helpful when i asked for recommendations. I ended up ordering pernil and stew ribs. It came with a side of rice, beans and platanos (yum yum). The pernil was tasty and the ribs fell of the bone like silk. Also order 4 empanadas: beef, chicken, pernil and a cubana. All super tasty. Hola Hola!!! Vicky who ever you are I want to marry you!!! This is hands down the most amazing Latin food this gringo has ever tasted. This is empanada Heaven!! So light and crispy yet so flavor packed. I could eat a half dozen. Beef and cheese, chicken and cheese so many empanadas so little time!! Tonight I tried the chicken tamales and I'm in pollo heaven right now. So tasty delish it got my mouth to watering from the very first yummy bite. A hardy plate of delicious rice and beans with plantains made me want to buy Vicky a diamond ring to make her mine!!! The pupusa were as good as it gets cheese, buttery and satisfying. Plus we got rice beans and chicken easy enough as some places dont do that right but vickys does . The service was very good also as they labeled all the emanadas.
