My tire pressure light was going off and on for a few days... Went to Vics Tires to have them check it out... I didn't have an appointment, just drove up. Celia (who by the way is super friendly) checked out my tire and saw that there was a nail in it. Vic checked out all of my tires and come to find out there was another tire with a nail in it. He patched it up and put enough pressure in the tire and it was pretty quick. For not having an appointment and saw me the same day, I was impressed.. I've been to other tire places out of town and even with an appointment, I still had to wait over an hour. So having to come back wasn't a big deal to me. They were very friendly and attentive. I've had a had a slow leak in one of my tires that was previously fixed (plugged) by another tire store in Fillmore. I took my car in late on a Wednesday (it was after 5:00 pm already). I walked straight in to the office and was immediately attended to by the owner himself. He located the air leak quickly, and he explained that the air was leaking out of the old plug that was put in by the other tire guys. He marked the area with a white circle and went to work on it right away. He patched it all up from the inside of the tire and really took the time to make sure it was a proper seal. I was informed that tire plugs always leak but a patch wont leak. This makes sense because the plug lasted only like a year or so, which I won't ever do again. I was impressed by the quality of the workmanship, and it was apparent that the owner takes pride in his work and really cares about his customers. He works fast and is straight to the point. The price was very reasonable and I was happy to pay. I will definitely check them out again if and when I have any more tire related needs. Thank you so much, Vics Tires! read more

just now I had been on the road 8 hours nearing my home just 15 miles away when at Hwy 126 and Olive in Fillmore Ca, a main intersection, my front left tire went flat. I was driving a lifted 4×4with a overhead camper. Luckily legal parking was available on the shoulder of the west bound lanes. I called my road side service ( more at another review for them soon coming). We put air in the tire enabling us to determined that my tire valve stems base had been damaged beneath the rims edge. Looking over my shoulder I see Vic's tire service just 2 blocks behind me! I call. Selena answered and determined she had enough time left to have her serviceman take a look. Very disappointed. I live in Las Vegas. My wife was going through Fillmore when the tire pressure light came on. She stopped at Vic's. They went out and aired up the tire. I'm thankful for that. Me being 300 miles away. What got me upset was they told my wife she need new tires. I had my wife take the car to Firestone because the tires had warranty. Firestone looked at the tires and said there is no problem. There is more then enough tread. Vic's had my wife and myself all stressed out because they wanted to sell a set of tires when it was not needed. read more

Shop is advertised as open on Sundays from 10 am to 5:15 pm. Had a tire blowout on 126. So had AAA tow car here but no one ever opened the shop or showed up. Had to take tire to another shop in Santa Paula called Daisy's Tires and they were fantastic. Please don't advertise as open on Sundays when you're not. read more

Horrible customer service! I called on the phone and gave them the tire size of my truck, they never called back. I called a few days later, they apologized and again didn't call back! I drove my truck to their location, Vic himself said he'd find me some tires and call me; he never called me. I called a week later, he apologized and promised he'd call me back.....and again, for the 5th time no return call. Just for fun, I called them, told them they AGAIN never called me and Vic again apologized and promised he'd call me back for sure. What do you think happened? Yep: NOTHING!!! NO call for the 6th time I called Chatsworth Tire, they hunted down the tire size, gave me a great deal and installed them quickly. Vic, I'm a local and I will NEVER waste my time taking any of my many vehicles to your shop ever again. I'm glad that you're so busy you can offer such horrible and pathetic customer service but seriously, SIX times you failed to get back to me. If I could give this business zero stars I would. Horrible service. No accountability. My elderly aunt went in to have a flat fixed. When the security bit was used to remove the security nut on my elderly aunts wheel they then lost it and said they never had it in the first place... well I wonder how the wheel got off of the car then ?? Now my 80yo aunt is supposed to go to a dealership and pay extra because of their incompetence. That doesn't include all the time you don't get back having to deal with someone else's mistake that they didn't even offer to make right. I have heard nothing but negative about this shop but tried to give it a chance because it's a local shop and regret every second of it. Do not support these people. read more

He charged me $198 because he claimed he didn't have any in my size when clearly there were plenty displayed and he just got done with another persons car the same make and model as my. Can you guys fire Vic's wife from Vic's tires? She tried scamming me with a "safety inspection" for 80$ when I went for a tire rotation. Vic must've checked her because when I returned to pay she sat in the back quietly. On another occasion I needed my tire patched and her greeting was "what do you want?" Told her about needing a patch and her response was "we don't have time right now." I called Vic and he said to just bring the car anytime. Her response to that was "you can wait an hour or go somewhere else." Won't be coming here for anything ever again. Almost forgot that they lost my wheel lock too and I had to get a new one. read more

This place was wonderful and treated me so great. I had a problem with my tire, I was nervous and scared. A cop pulled beside me and scolded me for having hazards on while I was trying to find the nearest tire shop. This set my emotions over and I was in tears. Luckily this shop was the closest and I got out and the lady greeted me and asked if I was on and they took care of my tire quickly without asking for an arm and leg. Dont ever come here unless you want to get ripped off. My friend came here for tires and the lady up front (owners wife or who knows) told her it would be $80 for 4 tires-my friend was confused because that's super cheap and asked the lady Several times if she's sure it's only $80's because she needs all 4 tires changed. They said yes she said ok and changed her tires. she went on her way (she got no invoice or any proof of why they were only $80) next thing you know she checks her bank account and she has a $500 charge from Vic's tires. So she goes back and asks why there's this second charge on her account. Not mad because she knew $80 seemed low for tires but now she's paying $580 for tires on a Toyota car. She asks for an invoice and the owner was super shady and made one on the spot for her. They never said why they charged her twice, they never even asked to charge her card the second time to begin with. They gave her the run around so she called her credit card company to dispute it and come to find out they're so shady they FORGED re signature for the second charge. It's bull krap and from the looks of all the reviews they give pretty crappy customer service and service in general so save your time and your money! read more

This is basically the closes tire shop anywhere in Fillmore. The reason I'm giving it a 1 star is because in their website is said they are open Sunday's 8-12. I was there from 8-930 and no one was there yet. Apparently they are known for this. (Not being at work on time)! What kind of professionalism is this? They work on their own times, when ever they feel like it because at their actual shop they don't have a sheet with store hours so they can get away with coming in when ever they feel like it! I came last year for rear breaks, owner showed me some numbers a out millimeters, i was like ok go for it, charged $400. Came in for front breaks because its on my way from work and he wanted to change rotors for front which i didnt need and said i was due for rear breaks. I told him that his shop already did rear bteaks mot so long ago. He pointed at his pretty numbers about millimeters again. I asked how often should rear breaks get changed, he said every 30K miles, i dont evem driver that in 2 years. I asked him to check his system to verify how long ago i came, i followed him to his computer, and magically there was no record of my truck ever being there, so he doubled down on his millimeters again amd that i needed it. I told him i pass, just front breaks. I was told an hour wait and after an hr and 15m i was told 15 more min amd after those 15 i was told 10 more minutes. But hey, at least they rotated my tires, yay! read more

I called Vic's Tires to have a tire replaced which they had told me was in stock. When I show up and tell them I had called they said they were unaware of the call or the situation. I asked for the tire of my choice which was a $90 tire, and when they had finished and gave me bill the price was $109 plus fees and taxes. I had explained to them that I had asked for the $90 tire which they had told me was in stock. Their reply was that that particular tire was not in stock and they just put on the more expensive tire without my consent. I wasn't happy with that and I let them know, and Vic's reply was "well the tire is already on there". He was very rude and spoke with a disrespectful tone and attitude. I will no longer go there for any services. If you decide to go there be sure to check the work they do prior. read more

This place has the WORST customer service I've ever experienced! Such a rip off!!! Today we took my car in for new tires and the lady who helped us (the only lady in the place) recommended we do an alignment as well. We went back and forth about wether or not we should do it but ultimately decided to only get 2 new tires and and an oil change done instead of the alignment. An hour and a half later we went back to pick up our car and she handed us a bill for almost $400 which included an alignment. When I asked her why the alignment was listed she became confrontational - it was a complete day and night change from who we had met earlier. She was raising her voice to the point that my daughter got scared and began to cry and we ended up calling the police so they could come and help us sort this out because we were getting nowhere with her. Because she never gave us anything in writing before they did the work, we ended up having to pay this place for something we didn't want done and the cop told us we could take her to civil court. Long story short, I would never EVER recommend anyone to this place! There are other places out there that know how to handle situations like these in a professional manner and wouldn't dream to treat their customers the way this lady treated us. Don't leave this place (if you insist on going) without a printed list in your hand stating what they plan on doing unless you want to pay for extra work you didn't want done. Took my car I had purchased new there twice for oil, oil filter change and tire rotation. As per maintenance guide every 10,000 miles. At 30,000 miles took my car to the dealer for some warranty work and also had the car serviced. Oil, oil filter change and tire rotation. The dealer informed me the oil filter had never been changed and was the original filter the factory had installed. They showed me the filter and gave it to me. I am very disappointed with Vics Tires. read more

The service is great and the people are even better. The tread blew off my tire while I was driving and when I tried to put the spare tire on, the lug nuts were too tight. I called AAA to help and they couldn't take off the tire either! The AAA guy made me think I had really messed up my tires and that it was going to be very expensive and time consuming to replace the tire, but he didn't know about the great service at Vic's tires! They took my car in right away and had a new tire with 5 new lug nuts on in less than a half hour. The receptionist calmed me down and even gave me a soda and some advice to avoid this in the future. Overall, this was the best experience of any car service I've had and I would definitely recommend Vic's tires. read more
